Title: Very motivated to create account here.
Post by: r1s2g3 on September 15, 2018, 07:51:20 AM
Few days back I reported a user in LoyceV thread for spamming (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.msg45461210#msg45461210).
Today I am just checking if the user is banned or not and I found out that user is banned but user created at least 5 more accounts to join this forum.

What a high level of motivation for doing shit posting.

I was more impressed by the level of originality in the search for a new account name. This user doesn`t even try to hide his alternative accounts. Not only is he going to violate forum rules by posting garbage, but he also does it so openly, absolutely not being afraid of possible consequences. The absence of sanctions for such violations is the main problem of today's bitcointalk forum. If there is no punishment, then nothing prevents such participants from a widespread and insolent offense of the rules.

He should get a permanent ban on the forum but still as we can see he is a very motivated spammer he can easily use different IPs and create more such accounts to spam and shitpost.
I guess the security systems about registration should be modified a bit to avoid such type of spamming.

Even how many accounts She/He going to create if that the same user and keep spamming it might be banned again by mods.

All we have to do is put them to our own watchlist and don't hesitate to report again to mods at the same time we will help them to catch those spammers or those garbage in the forum.

In term of making money here, people keep engaging and motivating in this forum even they are noobs and without knowledge to contribute as long as they have earned. And in that way, We or You must do the job to report and control of spreading the spammers here.

I have also experienced such issue in local board. Some of us have reported a guy and he got banned. But later, yesterday he created a new account and started to misbehave with us.

user created at least 5 more accounts to join this forum.
What a high level of motivation for doing shit posting.

Unfortunately, we have nothing to do without reporting those guys continuously. This one is really a big issue. People can easily create a new account for spamming. If you have look at the patrol, you will find a bunch of brand new users is bumping ANN thread= self BUMP.

May be the IP still has not caught evil IP ban yet.

He should get a permanent ban on the forum...
Since he was already ban once meaning this is ban evasion.

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]
.
.
25. If you get banned (temporary or permanently) and create a new account to continue posting / sending PMs, it's considered ban evasion. The only exception is creating a thread in Meta about your ban.

All these accounts will be banned sooner or later.

@r1s2g3: Good work mate.

Don't worry, that guy is just wasting his time. No matter how many times and how many accounts he create even though he use different names as long as he is posting shits, he will definitely end up banned over and over again. The problem is he is violating "Ban evasion" just like what @mdayonliner said.

At cases like this, we can't do anything to stop user that is banned permanently from making another account again because they will surely make another account again and again whenever they're account is banned. The best way we can do is to report them. Their account won't achieve anything.

Sadly banning people has become useless with the lack of enforcement of rules and ban evasion is rife. You can literally just create another account from the same IP after you're banned and just pay the evil fee which is usually minimal unless there's been huge abuses from it. Use a proxy or a fresh connection and you're good to go straight away. Brand new accounts can still collect bounties and once they've got 30 activity they're good to collect sig payment from any ICO that will have them with any spam or copy and pastes they can be bothered to make. This culture really needs to change. We can start by removing signatures from Newbies and Juniors and punishing ICOs that pay people for this rubbish. Some IPs should probably be either permanently blacklisted as well if they've had colossal abuses from them or maybe the evil fee substantially increased.

Even if the evil fee is applied to a IP the user can create a new account with other device and just login using the evil IP and use the account very smoothly. I guess the fees are applied on to the accounts created from the IP and not if other account created with different IP and used on the evil one.

I agree with these, seems like banning Newbies and Jr. Members permanently is just a waste of time as these people are still free to create new accounts and losing Newbie and Jr. Member ranked account is not a big problem to them. I will agree more if we make Newbie and Jr. Member ranks completely useless. Remove signatures, can only post 5 or less per day (just a suggestion) and don't allow these ranks to join any bounties. Of course, the account will be useful after reaching Member rank as Signatures will be available again. Making Newbie and Jr. Member rank completely useless will make spammers to give up what they were doing.

Yes, I believe that it is very important not only to deprive Newbies and Juniors of the benefits of wearing a signature and thus opportunities to participate in bounty campaigns, but also to punish the latter for the fact that their irresponsible inaction leads to an increase in spam on the forum. Campaigns only think about their own advertising and well-being, they brazenly use the forum simply as a platform for disseminating information and promoting their products. While discussing the problem of increasing the number of garbage posts, we focus on accusing users who hunt for easy money, but rarely pay attention to the bounty of campaigns that incite participants to such counter-acts.
