Title: When will the price of cryptocurrencies be stable?
Post by: Gabb on September 15, 2018, 06:19:36 PM
I believe that this market has never been characterized by great stability, because unlike institutional markets, the crypto market has been much more susceptible to experiencing large inflows or outflows of capital according to the rumors or the emotional aspect of the investors.

And personally I do not think this will change much in the medium term, because the decentralized aspect of the market prevents it from being intervened by regulatory authorities that prevent the speculative manipulation of prices.

I think it's because of the low levels of available liquidity on exchanges, where price discovery occurs. At current prices -- and this is increasingly true at historic prices -- it doesn't take much capital to induce volatility. At this moment, it would only take ~ $1.2 million to push the price up $200 (or 3%) on Bitfinex.

I don't think we'll find stability for years. This is a brand new technology and asset class, so it's really speculative. At the same time, the available supply on exchanges is quite low. There's no escaping volatility there. When the market is much more mature and established, and at higher prices where more capital is required to push price, I think we'll find more stability.

no one knows when the price will be stable all you need to do is just to study the market and know when to invest, hold and sell that's the best you can do for yourself.

For stability in the price of cryptocurrencies, I doubt. The market will always be full of ups and downs. That is the nature of cryptocurrencies, it would never be expected be stable.

I don't think so that the price of cryptocurrencies can be stable because these digital currencies are very volatile and the price depends upon number of factors. The forces of demand and supply, how much investment is done in these cryptocurrencies etc.If these cryptocurrencies become stable they will loose their popularity and demand.Their volatile nature has made many people rich. These are an easy source of earning a lot of money. They are spreading in whole of the market.

there is no such thing as stability when it comes to the decentralised technology  trading framework as it is controlled by different traders in different locations, thereby making the price dynamic. the price of bitcoin can never be stable to a point but can be within a range of price.

Even so, crypto prices are currently unstable, I think the trade cycle is reasonable if prices go up and down, but I believe the market will not always be like this

Many factors are yet to be drawn before crypto can be stable. As long as there is not some form of regulation to curtail the large incursion of the crypto sphere of fraudsters, scam and unreal programs, bogus promises and deliberate attempt and inducement to cheat and defraud people, then the market will not see price stability soon. It is a fair drawn conclusion!

Never think that will happen because cryptocurrency as it stands its volatile and the price will always not stable and continue to fluctuate due to market forces.

Stable? like it will never go back to the low price?

It's impossible to see the price of crypto's are going to be stable again. It swings and moves from time to time whenever it wants due to supply and demand and if ever its going to be stable, no one can tell it when.

That's right. It won't be long before things get back to normal. In addition to injections, there are many aspects affecting the market. The authorities, though unable to track the work of the blockchain, but their influence does not decrease. To normalize the process, we need full coordination in all areas.

when it stops taking just a few hundred BTC to shift the price by $200
alot of faith in exchanges has gone. so orderlines are not filled to the top.
instead of 500 people putting in orders at $xxxx.00 and another 500 people at $xxxx.01
we have 1 person at $xxxx.00 and 1 person at $xxxx.01 whereby they are only risking, say $50 each

but all that really matters in the big picture is
2016 > $300
2017 > $900
2018 > $5800

so just enjoy playing the waves up and down inbetween

It is quite painful and pitiful that the prices continue to be an up and down swing and very unpredictable as the markets have remained in the red  beyond the expectation of the crypto pundits. When the market is going to heal and stabilise is a matter of conjecture and speculation, but I hope it is soon.

Take it this way suppose you are looking at a pond of water and you made a boat with cardboard or something and sail it on the water. The boat is bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency so if you put some weight on the boat then it will sound or maybe it will handle the pressure but started to move very slowly yes exactly how we talk about the market price fluctuation the more demand and supply there are the fewer situations are going to occur but with altcoins it is not the case as their population and not as dense as Bitcoin.

I think most investors are buying bitcoins to sell them again for profit.
So the Prize will not get stable and will always fall after ab big rise !
becourse the investors start to sell when they reach a good profit.

Cryptocurrencies' price won't be stable. Its price is moving time to time. Price will play on how the users plat the price i mean it depends how they control the price. Just look at the price of bitcoin it never become stable it always changes it may stabilize for a week but then change week later.

Decentralized crypto currency can not be stable and its price by its nature. Its price is formed solely on the basis of the supply-demand ratio in the crypto-currency market, and they will never be stable. The stable price for crypto currency can be only in one case - when there will be no demand for it and its price will be zero.

in my opinion crypto will never be stable, the price will definitely go up and down anytime, because many factors that make crypto will never be stable depending on demand and supply, if crypto is stable it will definitely lose its artistic value and its popularity, because investors will assume crypto is no longer profitable.

The price of cryptocurrency will not be stable for at least two years. Why? Because there are still a large number of merchants and whales in control of the market, only coins can fluctuate to make a profit!

Whales have always been and will always be in control of the market, nothing will ever change there. I rather have whales in control of the market than a bunch of gambling addicted lunatics thinking this is a money making paradise, which it clearly isn't.

Merchants in control of the market? Really? At least you should have said that it were the payment gateways who are in control of the market, which would have made a bit more sense since the far majority of the merchants use payment gateways to settle their crypto payments. Selling pressure from these payment gateways is negligible, especially with how the bear market single handedly trashed people's confidence to spend or invest their coins.

The current situation you feel lot of investors are control the market. But once it will legalised in some countries automatically it will growing to rapidly so don't expect it will take two years.
My prediction is we will see the good result in crypto market. Because number of companies are slowly adopt the Bitcoin so surely it will reach good position in next year.

There are other decentralized assets, too. What about gold or oil? By many standards, they're volatile markets, but compared to cryptocurrency they're very tame.

I think it's largely a matter of market liquidity. At higher prices, no one can push the price up with just a couple million dollars. Hopefully that, combined with bigger bid liquidity due to rising demand will help stabilize things.

I agree though, that these markets will always be less stable than lots of assets -- blue chips, bonds, commodities with inelastic supply and demand, etc.

This may never be stable because crypto is decentralized, and crypto prices are affected by market changes. And if the government takes crypto then crypto can have a stable price.

Bitcoin was relatively stable in 2015 because of the post-bear market stagnation, we might see more periods like that in the future. Perhaps we'll experience something like that very soon, if $6,000 is the bottom of the current bear market.

But if you are asking when will Bitcoin be truly stable, the answer is not soon, the speculation needs to shrink. Currently the market is speculative because people aren't sure about Bitcoin's fundamentals, some bet that it will succeed, others bet against it. With time it will become more clear who was right, so there will be less reasons for speculation.

That's a pretty safe assumption, isn't it?  :P

Fact is that the more stable an asset becomes, the less relevant the spot market of that asset is. The majority of the trading and volumes will then grow around it just like what happened with gold. Bitcoin will follow that path.

Not sure if that's good or bad for Bitcoin per se, but it will will for sure make Bitcoin's limited supply less of a thing with how cash settled products have an infinite supply. The futures market is an early sign of what has to come.

The thing with people is that one day they believe that a stable price is important, and once we have a stable price for a longer while, they suddenly start to get bored and want the volatility back. People don't know what they want.

Yeah right, I don't know why people they want a stable price in the market. How they can ride the volatility and make a profit if they want the stable market. Through this high volatile we can make more profit when it comes to trading, and stable market it means no profit at all.

I don't think so if there is a stable price in the cryptocurrency, as long as we heard the word volatile we expect that there is a fluctuation of the coins in the market not only cryptocurrency will fluctuate even foreign exchange there is a fluctuation of their value in the market. Nothing stable happen at all.

cryptocurrencies won't be stable until the prices go up and down the main reason is the market is increasing as per the developments and market speculation rumors so we can see price will be volatility until the market turnover is more than 500 billion dollars

What kind of stable market do you want? Cryptocurrency trading is very volatile it can never be stable unless trading is controlled by the authority to avoid market manipulation but since this market are free to control by anyone who has the power we will never be achieved its stability because right now it cant be controlled by any government organization.

Cryptocurrencies price are not stable because there is always pump and dump happens in the market. If the maket market moves up and down only we can earn good profit. When the price is low then we can buy more bitcoin and when the price will high means you can sell and see the good income. If it is stable means there is no use of invest in bitcoin. Always market would control by the whales so according to their moves the fluctuations happens.

Being stable is not bitcoin's or any crypto's job. They are not here to be stable, they are here to make some statement to governments and financial world. For that, they must have some big value within them and this is the core reason why cryptos are fluctuating and moving slowly toward multi trillion dollar marketcap levels.

When the marketcap reaches its high time picks than the financial firms hear about our names and start to take notice. Look at how no one cares about us right now. Back in December when the bitcoin reached its ATH and all other coins followed it than the financial firms took notice and talked about how bitcoin is bad and all that because they were scared.

Bitcoin is not here to have a stable price for you so you can sleep better at night, if you want that go buy gold. Bitcoin is here to make a statement and that can only be done with marginal swings.

There will always be some inherent volatility with the bitcoin market, considering that it is a freely traded currency without any manipulation.

However, this volatility is only in the short term. In the long term, I'd say that bitcoin is much more stable than fiat currencies, especially those issued by countries which have a faltering economic system, such as Turkey and Venezuela. That's due to the fact that bitcoin's supply is limited, and hard coded, being unable to be manipulated by any single entity in order to debase the value of it.

Personally, short term volatility has never been a huge concern of mine, as I don't particularly care about the fiat value of my long term holdings anymore. But I think as time goes on and merchant adoption increases, the price of bitcoin should become more and more stable in the short run given that they start pricing their goods in bitcoin. However, this only comes with time. How long it will take we don't know, but I'd think that within a decade we'll see a drastic decrease in volatility already.

As per experience with cryptocurrency for the last year's pumps, I could view it exactly as unpredicatable, because it do stabilized at random stages but suddenly we can't expect it to fall into unexpected price. By the time bitcoin hits at good and top highest price, I seen other cryptocurrency also gaining a huge profitable value in the marketplace so as stabilized price.

Absolutely, for a long time risking cryptocurrency is quite hard to predict individually. I believe we all here struggling volatility and fluctuant prices for the past year of penetrating crypto as our fund and still fighting the bearish scenarios for the massive profits that everyone desired. This crypto is indacating to have a wide patience and have faith for the past progression. And I know we all here believe that the prices will grow enormously, only time can tell.

There are some crypto like USDT or so that are tokens and tied to a real life thing which are always stable and always pinned to something which will not increase or decrease and stay stable. However any other crypto like bitcoin or ethereum will never be stable for too long.

Of course, it can stay at the same range of price for a week or two but it will never be staying same for a long time, crypto has a volatility in it because the amount of bitcoin is limited and people decide on supply/demand ways for bitcoin price to change and if one side goes heavier than we move towards that way without any government stopping it will do whatever it wants.

That is not stability, unless of course you have no idea what stable means. Firstly, I really do not care if crypto price is stable or not, but what I want is for us to start seeing more real life usage as that would always drive in demand for the market and all these level of manipulation, panic, FUD and insane activities in the market will reduce. It is a decentralized market, and we will be deceiving ourselves to think that there would be any form of stability in the long run; highest that would happen is to see the volatility reducing to a very good and reasonable extent.

I believe that this market has never been characterized by great stability, because unlike institutional markets, the crypto market has been much more susceptible to experiencing large inflows or outflows of capital according to the rumors or the emotional aspect of the investors.
With higher liquidity, high level of real life usage and the speculations dropping down and reducing, we might over time see some level of stability. But we also have to understand that no matter what, it is still a decentralized market and there would always be certain fluctuations one way or the other as time goes on and will not be fully stabilized since it is not centralized. Let's see how regulations and ushering in of bigger institutional whales, as well as real life adoption will make the whole thing be like.

And isn't only the investment market, let's remember is the high risk market, that mean the fluctuation is really big, in one day it can hit de moon or crash in hell. But i'm agree, this is a market who will never be stable. At end we will see it stable for a week or maybe for a moth, but at some point it will always change.

i think this is the characteristic of this digital currency a not stable due to unpredictable market as the price can swing anytime. Maybe in the future if the circulating supply has been spread to millions of holders around the world then this will not easily dumps or pumps with those whales.

I think that government support will be very influential in increasing the stability of cryptocurrency prices. Until now, cryptocurrency prices will never be stable because there is still not enough support. One that has the biggest impact is the support and actions taken by the government. The government has a very big role because when the government provides support, everything will be much better, the ultimate goal is that cryptocurrency will have a very good level of stability.

Compared to last year, Crypto may have been worse because almost one year after Crypto experienced a decline that did not return immediately, coupled with the rise of scammer projects. this makes the crypto market stability disappear

Government support will bring in more people and it will increase the price value, and people will be transacting, trading thus, making it kind of more volatile. I don't think it will be stable ever, the supply being limited will make it go up and down as per the demand and supply. But cryptocurrency introduced in terms of fiat will be stable, like USDT etc.

yes im aware and all of us are that the cryptos are volatile and that makes them to be more unstable but i think if cryptos were stable , we can still earn a profit on them .  unstability and stability does not hold the profit of the people but rather its up to them if what is their strategy and moves in order to possibly earn something with or without capital .

cant you guys see that cryptos are being stable on the past ? its because their price became stagnant due to market crash/correction but it'll expected that they can fluctuate again before the year ends .

it will be very difficult because of the many factors that influence it, Bitcoin price volatility is also driven by various perceptions of the intrinsic value of cryptocurrency as a store of value and method of value transfer. The function of bitcoin as a store of value is to store assets that can be useful in the future by considering several possibilities.

The nature of cryptocurrency is volatile, so we better prepare and adjust ourselves for the ups and downs of the market of cryptocurrency to avoid loss and disappointments.  It will be very difficult for cyryptocurrency price to become stable because of the many factors that influence it.  The unstable or volatile price of cryptocurrency is also  needed by us to gain profit in the future.  It will be up to us  if what  strategy and moves we decide to take  in order to possibly earn or gain  from it.

The price may never be stable.scaling is a feature of cryptocurrency.
You may expect it to go high and stay high for a long period. Presently the consistent low price we are experiencing is more of some regulatory decisions.
And stability may not even be expected while other currencies are not always stable.

The price of altcoin and Bitcoin price never be stable because the Bitcoin price is unstable and it will affect the price of other altcoins. Bitcoin price will always affect the price of altcoins which nothing will be in our hands, we have to move according to the price of Bitcoin and altcoin for purchases and selling.

It never will... unless manipulated.
Bitcoin is  deflationary and scarce. It is expected to increase (and sometimes decrease) in value with time to counter future inflation of products and services. Scarce and valuable things don't decrease in price. Bitcoin is Scarce , Valuable and Deflationary.

Nothing should be stable, by the way. Things will either do well or not in the future.
If we believe in evolution why then do we expect Bitcoin to be stable? Why should we prevent the natural movement of prices. The movement in prices is how we even know whether a project is doing well or not.
So don't worry about about the crisis.

Cryptocurrency prices will never be easy to experience stability, because stability must be fulfilled from various aspects. Even government support is very vital, so to make cryptocurrency have a stable price, it needs support from various parties. This will never be easy because everything must take a long time to achieve this. Government support and support from all of us will affect how the future direction will be achieved.

I don't think that crypto is more volatile because of the fact that its traders within the market are more emotional by any means.

It's just that the crypto market is something of a global thing, with no central entity to manipulate the supply of the currency in order to achieve various policies of their's. You briefly mentioned this, but I think this is the most important part. And in a sense, this inherent volatility of bitcoin is actually what makes bitcoin so advantageous as an independent store of value in the long run.

I honestly don't see prices being stable at any given moment in the future, because if it was stable, then it essentially means that bitcoin would be pegged to fiat currencies, which is actually something that no one wants and will not happen. Volatility may reduce in the long run due to increased adoption, but it will never be completely stabilised due to the speculative forces as well as the inherent inflationary nature of fiat, which it is being traded against.

We aren't stable yet and it never could be like that unless it became a centralized market by then. We are still open for any price surge and changes all the times. We are stuck into $6k-$7k dollars which makes people to think that we are already stabilize. Indeed, isn't enough to consider for its stabilization but it could be better than to have hype which could only result into losing.

Being decentralized in nature it is difficult to find stability specially when the approach and applications usually like a block market  system, in which the Investors will buy and  sell in short time period.

Bitcoin is decentralized but it doesn't stop regulation. Governments would just put regulation in different terms, look it up, you'll understand.

This stability is rather more concerning than being a good thing. Its very weird, because volatility isn't affecting much, surprisingly. Stability might make people assume that bitcoin is being widely adopted, whilst that isn't the case. P.S, a car dealership accepting bitcoin doesn't make bitcoin a fully-fledged adopted currency.

What kind of stable market do you want? Cryptocurrency trading is very volatile it can never be stable unless trading is controlled by the authority to avoid market manipulation but since this market are free to control by anyone who has the power we will never be achieved its stability because right now it cant be controlled by any government organization.
I don't know, since Bitcoin first emerged, crypto prices have never been stable. in fact, even a very stable ETH is really unpredictable. well, but many people use this for their benefit. especially for traders.
The price is not stable and has been surprising us since the start of this year till now the price sometimes increase and sometimes decreases so this fluctuations in price is due to the demand of people in terms of buying and selling rate. It is a benefit too and good for the conditions to normalize it only if we buy Bitcoin right now will also cost us less and one should avoid selling for small profit.

There will always be a fluctuation in any market.
Depending on the definition of stability for some, even Forex market is not stable; otherwise no one will be trading Forex.

If we are to refer to the volatility, sure we can say the market is still very volatile since it is in its infancy stage and very speculative in nature, and we can only up that with a huge level of adoption and usage, we might be able to attain some equilibrium level which even at that, it would only result to less volatility than what we have now, but does not necessarily make it stable.

I don't think this will ever change because Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are simply functioning that way. Even in periods when price looks more or less stable actualy it isn't and changes, even the slightest ones, are happening constantly.

Stability in price will appear with the passage of time as said by analysts till the market for Bitcoin comes to its stronger position. Another thing we hear is volatility which will also reduce if the number of participants in the market increases and vice versa. Right now the price of Bitcoin is around 6300 US dollar which is still a low market so one can take benefit by buying right now.

You are right about it but the Bitcoin is a long term investment source and we must be waiting for it to rise and then sell our coins so we should treat it as long term. On the other hand we have some best coins which are favorable for short term and there is stability too. With increase in market support the prices will become stable and will obtain a constant increase trend which will make situations stable.

I think the price of cryptocurrency may never be stable, because this is the investment market, not the bank. Even gold can't guarantee its price is absolutely stable!

And isn't only the investment market, let's remember is the high risk market, that mean the fluctuation is really big, in one day it can hit de moon or crash in hell. But i'm agree, this is a market who will never be stable. At end we will see it stable for a week or maybe for a moth, but at some point it will always change.
People asking questions about the future which is not answerable. How one can knows the future situation of the market? Anyway I think it will take long time because the current situation of the market signals us as red and the prices of all cryptocurrencies are down. Now it depends upon the investment cap and the people’s interest. When demand raises the price automatically rises.

This stability is rather more concerning than being a good thing. Its very weird, because volatility isn't affecting much, surprisingly.

It depends on how you look at it. In order to have Bitcoin obtain the highest possible value and usefulness, you have to allow both its store of value and currency aspect to bloom. Stable value means merchants (same applies to payment gateways) accepting Bitcoin are less likely going to hedge their risks by selling or shorting a portion of their sales. In other words, way less selling pressure.

The more stable Bitcoin becomes, the more willing people are to actually spend it. People right now either don't spend because the value has gone down, or don't spend because they believe the price will sky rocket. It's not something that's helping Bitcoin's currency aspect. Also, the more stability there is, the less we have to deal with absolute lunatic retail "investors". I see more advantages than negative aspects.

Nothing is stable in universe. Everything moves, so as moves priced of everything. USD, Gold, Grain, Land, everything.   I believe this guy was asking when Bitcoin will become drastically more stable as it is now. For that it might take 10 years. At that time 500% moves in a year will not happen anymore.

Crypto coins values do always fluctate and its the nature of crypto. Do not expect it to be stable. You wont encourage it if the crypto values are going to be stable. No investors would pitch in if the values are going to be stable and none of us would like it to be stable. If crypto's nature is to be stable, we would have not seen crypto growing in the market. The fluctuation is the object for the growth of crypto coins.

This is a decentralized market and that will always bring about the volatility. As long as a market is pegged in trading pair against another currency pair, then there is definitely not going to be any form of stability and if by stability what anyone is referring to is having something that would not fluctuate hugely and rapidly, then I would say for a young market, we are not even close yet, and before we can start seeing something like that, I guess we will have to look forward to real life usage.

You wont encourage it if the crypto values are going to be stable. No investors would pitch in if the values are going to be stable.
Upward fluctuation in long term is the reason why most people are here and still holding their bitcoins, however bitcoin may attain stable value like gold (not exact stable yet less volatility) but it may take more decades of time.

Absolutely! Volatility is one characteristics of cryptocurrency we cannot discard but the good thing however is that with more level of adoption and usage, this is something that would get to reduce over time. Considering how volatile this market was in the onset, and how it is now, it shows some great level of improvement at least for the bitcoin market. As we keep forging on, this is a market that would get to be more matured and we simply will not get to see a very high volatility but that does not mean it won't still be there.

Cryptocurrency is like stock exchange investment and as the prices of a share does not stable, the same is here with cryptocurrency. There will be volatility in the price every time.
What makes the idea of decentralization tick is that it is not controlled by any means and there will always be a dwindle between demand and supply as time keeps going on and even at some point, if we are able to have some good level of usage and demand, it still does not stop it from fluctuating, but probably by then, the market would have been more matured, that we certainly may not be seeing so much volatility as we have it today, but whether it is a lesser volatility or more, volatility is still one factor we cannot rule out.

Fluctuations are not just only common in the crypto world; they are common generally in most markets be it; stocks, Forex or whatever.

Value as long as it is still tagged to another value cannot be stable and there will always be fluctuations, and for the fact that this is a decentralized market and the fact that it is not controlled by any single body, it makes it more prone to fluctuations than even the normal markets, without forgetting that it is still in its very early stage.

Decentralized crypto currency is not able to be stable in nature because it is not provided with anything and is not supported by anyone, as central banks do with national money. The price of the decentralized crypto currency is formed exclusively on the basis of the supply-demand ratio, and they can not be constant. I also think that when the price rises, the volatility of the crypto currency will also increase.

Even real stock investment don't have such stability of market prices,  how much more for decentralized form of investment? We never think that it will stabilize cause it won't and it never at all.  Anyways,  it is better to have such volatility market trend cause that's the way we've got more profits on crypto.

I really do not think that the price of cryptocurrencies can ever be stable, because the price always depends on many factors. And even if that happens and cryptocurrencies become stable, then her popularity would shrink, because it would not be an area where people were to seek to earn easily.

I think stable doesn't mean staying in one position and not moving? price changes can also be said to be stable if the changes are not extreme or just small changes rise and fall, including gold has a stable price. and I agree with you it's possible that bitcoin will stabilize in the next few years if the bigger marketcap makes the price changes slower.

Now when market is much bigger than before and when we have that higher market cap we see that prices are not stable, changes hurt much more than before, simple cause 10% before and now are huge difference, in my beginnings 10% were less than 50$, now 10% is over 600$. Price moves in similar ways like before, from history we can see that in future when price rise a lot 10% drop can be huge, like thousands of dollars in just one day. I don`t think that we will ever see stable price, that is almost impossible, maybe in some perfect circumstances, but I doubt in that.

I think the price of crypto will be stable it will need a very long time, because for now the price of crypto is still very often rising and falling and my estimate of crypto prices will be stable around 3-5 months ahead.
I do not know if the most powerful entities in the world cryptocurrencies would like that bitcoin becomes a stable currency, there is simply too much money to be made if bitcoin is a volatile currency, that is why I think that bitcoin is a lot more volatile than it should be because exchanges benefit a lot with the volatility of the market and they are probably trying to influence the market to remain that way.

Stability is something that should be expected in the long run. There is something in economics that is called state of equilibrium. This is the point where there is a state of equality and balance between market demand and supply. A point will come where adoption and real life usage will force supply and demand to get balanced, where we end up not seeing some external influences anyway and saying something like this could not be possible in the long run? I doubt! Although, we may say, we cannot attain a full state of equilibrium but at some point with wide usage, the volatility will reduce.

Cryptocurrency price may be stable if bitcoin's market price will also be stable because as far as i know, cryptocurrencies market price is linked to bitcoin's market price movement so whenever bitcoin falls down, the altcoin's market price will also tend to follow and also rises if bitcoin's market price also rises.

It takes long if crypto to be stable since from the start price are always volatile. Price really swing to up and down so their is movement and activity in the market. So I think the more support from the users price could increase.

It really would take some decade before we start seeing that happen and that would be totally based on real life usage and massive adoption in the long run and in cases like this.

What we would see mostly is supply and demand getting balanced in a way and with that kind of thing, see a market that is less speculative, with everyone seeing the benefits when it comes to freedom in the way they spend and the perception of the market would have changed hugely to have become a more matured market and as long as a market gets more matured, the lesser the volatility in the long run but I would not expect some complete stability since it is an uncontrolled market.

How can you expect all the cryptocurrencies to go stable? The matured market like that of shares is not that stable, cryptocurrency market which is decentralized won't be fully stable or free of volatility. You can expect a few coins to get less volatile with time. But not the whole market. No one is controlling it and hence, bringing a stabilization is bit tough. With more adoption, we might see a bit recovery.

Saying cryptocurrency will never be stable is more like you seeing the future and knowing it is not actually going to be stable. Anything can happen and of course we can understand that the volatile nature of cryptocurrency due to how they are and their proneness to speculations will always make it to keep being volatile, but trust me, with some wide adoption and usage, less of speculation, we will surely be able to attain something close to equilibrium even if we do not completely achieve it. This is what I am looking forward to in the long run though, but by then, the market cap would have really grown hugely.

In my view the price of bitcoin is stable these days because it is between $6000 and $7000 for long time and there is no big fall or growth since February 2018. If you can trade in cryptocurrency, it is the best time to buy and start trading. You will make big profits in the future, but be patient and cool while trading in crypto. It is not for emotional people.

But that point of equilibrium is very far away, just look at the size of the market of cryptocurrencies and at the size of the market of traditional currencies and you will see a huge difference, not only that one of the factors that makes bitcoin very valuable which is its scarcity adds to the volatility of the market because when the demand rises the supply cannot do the same.

In my opinion i don't think the price of cryptocurrencies will be stable so soon. I also think that the crypto coins are created to have high or low price and fluctuation, like stock market shares have. Maybe after all country will do regulation for cryptocurrencies , the price will be more stable for legit coins, and will not drop or grow too much, but i don't think this will happen before 2025.

It depends on everyone's definition of stability and however we want to see it, cryptocurrency is volatile when you are trading against other fiat possibly because fiats themselves are volatile and the fact that they are controlled does not mean they do not get to fluctuate against each other.

So, the idea of stability could be not seeing large fluctuations or not seeing fluctuations at all. if it is the former, it is definite that with mass adoption and real life usage in the long run, this is something possible, but for the latter, without no fluctuations at all, unless maybe the only thing we now spend is satoshi and everything in price is tagged in satoshi, we will keep seeing fluctuations.

The price of bitcoin is stable; it is on the right track. There is no bump and dump in the price and the current fluctuation is good for traders. They can make handsome profit from this bearish condition of the market if he is capable of trading positively and effectively. If you want one price for bitcoin all the time, it is not possible because of the investment ups and downs.

Fluctuations are generally a normal thing when considering currencies against each other. This could even be fiat, GBP will always fluctuate against USD, and even though the market is controlled in a way, as long as the law of demand and supply is intact, nothing can be done about it.

Fluctuation is not something that should be expected in a crypto space that is decentralized, and we will surely keep seeing it when comparing to fiats, but the thing is as time goes on, we will get to see reduction in volatility and that can only come when we start utilizing cryptos in real life.

It's really hard to say that a crypto will have a stable price because basically, they are a volatile asset that is really beyond our control because it's the demand of the people and its supply that will tell us about its price and cap.

I don't know the answer because we have no exact clue for that. Cryptocurrency expectation and predictions are worthless for this year because the price of the crypto coins has no stability at all. Everyday price ups and down happening. Volatility is the main problem but it is a nature of cryptocurrencies. Like at this moment, Myself thinking that after 3 months the crypto price will increase, but there is no possibility too. But try to focus on your work or other things, it takes time to recover something big.

There is no way to make it stabilize as we are in decentralized market unless it change into centralized one.  Market moves freely before but unfortunately, it came into scenarios that high profiled investors will do manipulation inside crypto market which could affect it's decentralization way.

Decentralized cryptocurrency can never be stable in its price. This is simply impossible due to the nature of cryptocurrency. Its price is formed only on the basis of supply and demand, and they will always be different due to the fact that millions of people participate in the cryptocurrency market, who act in different directions regarding its buying and selling. Also, various news factors influence the demand and supply of cryptocurrencies, and there are always plenty of them all over the world.
Decentralized cryptocurrency does not have a single control center and, as a rule, is not supported or regulated by anything, as it happens in ordinary national money. All this affects its constant volatility.

Cryptos are programmed to have a limited quantity hence their offer normally dont increase or decrease based on demand. They wont ever adapt on adequate terms to the boom and bust speculative trends. They are condemned to have huge fluctuations of prices. Its their only way to react to demand.

In no timetable, cryptocurrencies will always remain volatile as the demand of people go high and low. Let us just accept the natural behavior of cryptos which is so untamable and just live with it.
