Title: An advice to the newly demoted accounts, learn before you earn.
Post by: CryptopreneurBrainboss on September 18, 2018, 06:39:28 AM
Before I go on, I want to use this media to send my sympathy to all the legitimate forum users which rank got demoted from junior member to newbie. I can relate to how you feel (disappointed) just like when you participated in a bounty campaign for months and it turns out to be scam.
I have this little advice for you all, instead of spamming this forum with complains upon complains like others, I will advice you learn from the mistake you made and improve on the number of quality post you create. I known many of the demoted accounts were bounty hunters just posting, trying to meet up the required post to earn entries weekly but that's not how the system works.
You learn before you earn. So I advice you use this period to learn, if possible study merited posts, study how they're written (to entertain, educate or inform) and learn to write in those manner.
Lastly, instead of seeing your demotion as a loss, look at the bright side and see it as a blessing in disguise then utilizes this opportunity to improve on your writing skills. who knows you might be the next JET CASH.
Stay blessed.

study merited posts
And for all Newbies who think they can copy someone else's work: this will get you banned! See this example (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5030929.msg45833698#msg45833698) from a merit hunter, or this entire thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.0) for many more examples.

I have some advice for OP too: I would have merited you, if you wouldn't be a nice project (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1052091;sa=showPosts;start=260) and ponzi (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2289088.msg23232359#msg23232359) spammer.

Sorry for misunderstanding me. let me make it clear what I meant was that, if you want to get merited learn how to post original post like the merited ones you see on forum. I didn't say they should copy. I only said study because to be a good writer you have to study others writing too, and learn to write the way they write

That's is why I have to give this advice, the above post were written when I just joined cryptocurrency/bitcointalk. I had no one to guide me and made same mistake the newbies are making today but with time I developed myself. Also as you can see those post got no merit because they were stupid and I have tried deleting them but couldn't. After I wrote my very first original post yesterday I got merited for the first time in this forum and it felt good that's is why I'm speaking from my experience to advice them to try creating something unique.

I know you didn't say that, I said that :P It's a warning, because many users seem to think they can get away with plagiarism.

Many of your posts look like text spinning bump bots:
Nice project
Love the name, wishing you success

I have tried deleting them but couldn't.
Why not? Click here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2470797.msg25338812#msg25338812) and click the delete button. Then open your post history (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1052091;sa=showPosts;start=320) and do the same to all other spam. Since you have 23 replies and 15 topics (https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?p=CryptopreneurBrainboss) deleted by moderators, you would do the forum a favour if you clean up on your own.

That's not true, you got merited (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.msg35419474#msg35419474) in April already.

Two more things: there's no need for all the bold font, and there's no need to send me a PM when you reply to my post.

Thank you for your time today, I have cleaned all past history, I'm now a new me, all my posts shall now be of original and authentic, also no form of spam involved. don't know were to send my apologizes but know my actions starting from today henceforth will speak for me. Thank you ones again. (Let's make bitcointalk great again.

Your Activity dropped from 336 to 170, which means you've done some serious housekeeping. And you've dropped the bold font! I'm glad to see some people are willing to change their spam, so keep going like this :)

Now all that's left to do, is fix your quote above. It should look like this:
I have tried deleting them but couldn't.
Why not? Click here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2470797.msg25338812#msg25338812) and click the delete button. Which means you need to add:
Code:
[quote author=CryptopreneurBrainboss link=topic=5031673.msg45859731#msg45859731 date=1537257492]
and:
Code:
[/quote]
at the right spot.

Thank you for the encouragement. I noticed the drop too but I'm not bothered because I'm ready to earn those activities back in the right manner accompanied by merits for proper rank up. It took me some hours but I was determined to keep to my worlds although if the direct delete button can be added to history, i.e one can delete replies directly from history without visiting the whole thread, it would be much easier sorry would had been easier ;D.
Also I have edited my reply just as you directed above.
Thank you.

The earlier the better for any one posting on bitcointalk to know that we are very serious about quality. So I join in telling especially those demoted to learn from this exercise and grow up.

Please review the post again. I did a correction after he gave me the correct format.

I agree with you but what annoys me is how non defaulters get drag into most of these issues. Like the just concluded exercise of demotion of jnr members without merits to newbies. Forum didn't even considered the non defaulters who were not spammers but  didn't get merits because most times their topics or reply don't get notice

It's still incorrect.

Why do the innocent newcomers need merit asap? I can only think about the signature. Everything else is managable if you have no merit and you are still newbie... (Post time delay, warning message in PMs, etc. are not a big deal at all... post quality doesn't depend on rank)
They should wait a bit, more merit sources were choosen, and if you check the statistics of the merits given, you can see a significant improvement compared to last week.
Give the forum a little time to let the dust settle and we'll see the results...
