Title: why shitposts?
Post by: ngoctunghp on September 21, 2018, 12:37:21 PM
I just joined the forum and read som topic on this forum but I see so many people calling newbie with "shit posts" i do not understand why, this is the biggest about crypto on the world, on this forum people give own opinion, may correct may be wrong, good ideas are rewarded-get merit, okie, but many post not merit-all post this is shit post? is it worthles?? if such a forum is the place to earn merit? Not to mention your opinion ("I do not understand merit for what to do ?") I see if I comment on this forum and do not get merit and also a shit posts? i fell I don't get respect from other members,i think I or many other newbie also fell the same. I feel a lot of people are happy to see newbie with posts not getting merit, merit really important on this forum ?? maybe i only read topic and not comment? because i do not want to call: newbie with "shit posts", if the forum is not given its own opinion then it is no longer the forum of everyone anymore, if only for merit, i think should rename Forum: "merit" is no longer bitcointalk forum, I hope i do not get criticize from everyone

It's not about giving your own opinion.
Shitposters are those who try to fulfill the signature campaign requirements without effort, and most of the time they have nothing to say on the subject but post anyway.
All those trying to make a living out of the bounties turned this place into a shithole. Sorry to say that but it's true, where money and freedom are involved you will always find abusers, and here is almost no control and they become greedy and abuse the freedom more and more.

I don't know if you are an alt, or a genuine new member, but you do seem to have a focus on the merit system. I think you should put this behind you - it is so passé. Shitposts are made by spambies to scratch a few alt coins ( that they may not receive), and it seems to create a myopic approach to Bitcoin Talk. It is far better to use the forum to improve your knowledge and skills.

It all comes down to these three things:

1)  Shitposters write poorly-written posts.  This is usually, but not always, because the shitposter is trying to write in English when they have a very poor grasp of grammar, what words should be capitalized, where the punctuation should go, and shitposters tend to very often have an extremely limited vocabulary.  The person might be intelligent in his or her native language, but posts often sound like they were written by a simpleton.

2)  Shitposters produce vapid content.  Shitposters usually don't have much to say.  When they write something, it has usually been written many times before by many different shitposters.  This leads to either very short, boring posts or very bloated posts that should be much more succinct than they are.

3)  Shitposters are incentivized to post.  This is obvious if you're here for longer than a week, and this is also why people don't read anything here--shitposters are not paid to read.  It's why most posts you make don't get replied to in the spam mega sections like Bitcoin/Altcoin Discussion, Economics, and Speculation.  This also explains why there are so many members here and why there's so many posts in general.

If you see a post that you think is complete crap, it's almost a guarantee the member will meet all 3 of these criteria.  And OP, you're going on ignore.

Guess every Minute maybe 10 new Users or (bots) register here , or more !

From 100 users i think 10 joining for search about Coin or crypto related things !

From the last 90 there 40 Bounty Hunters and Shit Spam posters and the rest are Bot spamming Accounts !

If you look on the post history of the most newbies you can see it !

The whole thing are good explaind from @The Pharmacist  !

I know a few weeks back when there wasn't restrictions on deleting your own comments the bot accounts were being created at mass just to post a comment, and then delete it. It was really annoying to actually report.

Yeah at the moment , reporting is enjoyable but still difficult to catch the special Spamshit posters  , but if you know where you have to look its no problem to detect them  ;D

By the way i going to find some Spammers now !  ;D   ;)

i fell I don't get respect from other members,i think I or many other newbie also fell the same.

Respect isn`t an a priori reaction. You must earn it with your activity, which will benefit other participants. One of the functions of merit (among others) I consider its ability to be an indicator of obeisance from other members of the forum. Many newbies "don't get respect" because they don`t do anything that deserves appreciation. Try to understand that newbies come to the forum, where there are already certain rules, traditions and "way of life". Bitcointalk is a well-established community that agree to accept new members. But first, new participants should show their respect for the already existing system. And at least not to violate the rules that were set before they even came here. Before demanding respect from others, start to express it yourself by writing qualitative and constructive posts.
