Title: Rating sites for confidence?
Post by: ramanmart1 on September 25, 2018, 07:46:48 AM

The cryptomarket is developing and a lot of people including I have the question about confident sites and resources to find suitable coins for investments. Some of these sites are pay and it is too responsible to trust them not to be confident in the truth of their information in the same time. I am against for trusting to these sites because I am sure that experts’ opinions are more promising in this case and it is easier to believe to the particular person than to different sites. What about you? Do you trust these sites or do you find information in the other sphere of life?

I trust such sites. For example https://hacked.com A very useful site. There you can see and hear the opinions of experts in this field. Successful predictions that you can believe. There are also many such sites. Because of this, I have reason to believe them

Most of the rating sites do actually do indirect promotion of ICOs.I don't trust any rating site that collects fee for listing or reviewing any ICOs on their site.Always do your own research on the ICO and discuss about the ICO on the forums/friends and come to conclusion.Don't just go blidndly with rating sites

ICO rating sites are evaluating a certain set of criteria. They may or may not be reliable. Some sites were pretentious about manipulating them in exchange for money. That's why we can't trust much.

Yes, I usually use these websites to check if the ICO has good ratings on these websites. The ICO is great, when it is listed on every rating website and deserved great marks. But a great rating, does not guarantee 100 percent success of an ICO.

Site content was not created by a single person, that means a lot of peoples were creating a different kind of story based on their opinion(even you can see some biases on some sites) and some facts. Of course because of that we can say that they are not reliable at all as a source for us to find a good 'project'. But it does not mean that they are completely useless for us, as an investor we need to gather a lot of information to determine or to find some facts that are moving around on our current market.

And the best place to find it is on those sites,do not look at the good one but instead find the bad one.
usually it's more reliable compared to the good one, because haters will tell you the truth instead of the supporter itself.

Depending on how much I am going to invest, I research more or less. I would not do much research to put 100 $ or  200 $. For that I would trust ICOBench or ICORated.

Only a fool would trust others people opinion. I mean a biased one while they actually able to research and analyze by themselves instead they handover the job to unknown and biased rating websites. To make a good investment we must deeply research and analyst the project by ourself since its unbiased.

We do not have to rely entirely on site evaluations, but we should not believe them because our analysis gives us complete confidence about an ICO project.

I don’t like to visit review websites because most are filled with impunity
How can a Scam ICO be verified by ico review websites ?

It shows as long as u have money you will be acclaimed to have passed kyc and your project given ratings that would lure in investors

The simple way is everyone should use google duly and find out information and decide for themselves
Ignore rating apps

I too against trust to these websites. I think all of them are interested to leave only good marks and comments to projects which paid them. It is necessary to understand the project, but not to trust foreign people.

Rating sites are notorious for promoting ICOs in the guise of rating them. This explains why most of them have a pinned message, ICOs they got vested interests in are always at the top. I don't fall for their biases.

ICO rating sites talk money from ICO's for favourable ratings. I have seen them recommending projects that I was able to discern as an obvious scam within the first 5 minutes of my due diligence process. They do little beyond replicating the information that is already on the ICO site without doing anything to verify it. If you use ICO rating sites to guide your investment decisions you will end up losing a lot of money.

Ranking sites will not give bad ratings to a good project. It’s not profitable for them. Who will trust the rating site if their reviews is a bullshit? Of course, I do not exclude that some projects pay the experts of these rating sites for a good rating, but there are probably very few such cases. but, nevertheless, when choosing a project, I try to look at the ratings of this ico on all the rating sites - after all, you won’t pay to all of them, right? ;D

Title: Re: Rating sites for confidence?

There are indeed many investors and beginners who depend on rating sites to get investment options. I think the rating site is always controversial and has two sides or views, between good and not. One side they can help by giving an objective assessment of the project and the bad side there is also a rating site that only gives an assessment to get paid.

Apart from all that, I think the rating site is not the last way we should follow, but we can take information from it to start research and discussion to get the best choice.

I think there are speculation sites that could be really trusted and some are not should be trusted. But every speculation people make is just based on what happened before or just based on the information they were able to gather. Meaning, you trust those sites at your own risk. Doesn't mean a good speculation site will always help you earn a ton of profit. Because the market can be manipulated anytime.

I think we have overrated rating sites and this has made many investors to lose big in the industry, even some scam project do get good rating on some popular rating sites. I prefer following my intuition when investing than following anyone's view in my investment decision .

it can be said that, currently the rating sites are not a definite reference to the success of an ICO project.
but that does not mean that the rating site is useless, this can be one of the supporters of confidence to join the bounty campaign

Choosing the ico for investments I always review information and ratings for this project on the rating sites . This facilitates the selection of high-quality ico from a large number of projects that now exist . But that does not mean that the project will be 100% successful .

well that's why you have to fulfill your life with a lot of insight and knowledge. until any news source or website as you say is not directly accepted as justification. there must always be research, analysis and research to be your own benchmark, therefore experience plays an important role in ico's choice.

If ever you are to use these review sites, check if they allow a third party to issue his/her opinion on ICOs listed on their site. If none, then be more cautious.

But truth remains that they can be manipulated and the ratings can be rigged with bribery

Best way is for you and I to conduct a comprehensive research ours elves and get it right

Low and mid-sized investors do not read much about the project, they solely depend on the rating which is given by the experts and their review, in other way, and investors are lazy to research about the ICO. Nevertheless, due diligence is required before doing the investment, most of the rating sites do this work with the help of KYC and deep research in the ICO. However, still scam ICO and fraudulent rating systems appear to deceive the customers.

Since its really hard to determine an ICO project now if scam or legit, that sometimes we tend to see the reviews on them. Its a risk to just rely on reviews but if you already do a throughout the research and sees team reliability. Then the project might be good to give a chance, once you join keep tracking and do follow-ups on their plans and whats.

Ratings sites at times are not reliable they do compromise with their ratings having high rated an ICO which might later turn scammed calls for serious scrutiny of those rating sites, I believed investing in ICOs we should not rely solely on rating sites alone there are other areas of researching for feasibilities and credibility of new ICO.

the site rating could not be fully trusted. Sometimes this is just giving an indoor pool of information that does not fit the facts or it could even be said to trap. Maybe there are indeed provide the assessment objectively but it will come back again with different facts. the analysis will better and use the site rating is there only as a last resort to solidify the choice only.

You shouldn't solely depend on all these ICO rating sites, some are paid. I have seen many projects that have good ratings but after ICO ends & have raised enough funds although met hardcap too the price of their tokens drops sharply & the admins of telegram group of that specific ICO also are not active much as they used to be active during the token sale.
So don't depend on all these ICOs I would suggest just wait for the ICO to get over and then see if there is any progress on the project, if so then buy their tokens from exchange else you will be holding worthless tokens.

Although i do know that some of the ICO benchmark sites do take money from ICO to have a higher grading, if you want to use them try to compare it with a few site to verify the authenticity. I do still use them at times but not a totally believer as i do get coins that is valuable even thought their grading is not very high there/

If you want to invest in a project in order to get their tokens, then it is not necessary to see the rating on one site. It is easier to enter the name of the project in a search engine and there will be enough websites with ratings. But as practice shows, not all experts make an accurate prediction and not everyone can be trusted.

Don't make them the main base for your decision to investments just view it as a potential suggestion for future references, not all of them are accurate some of the websites can even edit their ratings when the projects collapse to a fraud scheme or they can be a one-sided reviewer because the project paid the enlistment to their rating site, do your own evaluation at some point it is your money at the end to protect.

Rating sites should not be trusted, it is better to analyze the ico project yourself (if you know how to do it).

I totally agree with you. Rating sites are not to be trusted. These can easily be manipulated and mislead investors. One such example, is TripAdvisor, with many fake reviews.
indeed it can be manipulated, of course we have to be able to choose ico carefully because now the rating can be purchased to get more investors

Rating website is only used as a reference when you participate in ico.We can't fully believe them. And we have to have our own judgment.

I do not fully believe, in my opinion trusting a site that says project A is good is a mistake, for me the meaning or content of the project is very important, if I read in detail that this project is very important, then I will look for the site or project rating.

Agree. we can only use it as an information relation to be able to get more complete information about ico not as an investment guide. because of course it is very risky if we only see the review rating

Do you really think that there are any experts opinion as well. I believe it's not true rating on those ICO ranking sites. Most of them could be bought one and many of them are just putting some numbers so that their website can gain popularity and then gain some crowd for displaying the advertisement.

Many of you might just think this is not true, but this is the reality guys. I have seen that almost all the ICO that seek for the ranking are getting 80%++ green rating thus making it look like far legit. In reality we know that more than 80% ICO are scam. Lolz.

So do the math and tell me how they can be trusted anyways.

The majority of the score websites perform really do roundabout marketing associated with ICOs. We do not believe in any kind of score website which gathers charge with regard to itemizing or even critiquing any kind of ICOs on the website. Usually, perform your personal investigation about the ICO as well as talk about concerning the ICO about the forums/friends as well as arrived at the summary. Do not simply proceed blindly along with score websites.

The vast majority of status websites complete actually do roundabout marketing and advertising connected with ICOs. When I tend not to confidence almost any status web page of which gathers cost intended for a checklist or maybe going over almost any ICOs on their web page. Generally complete your individual exploration within the ICO, in addition, to examine around the ICO within the forums/friends, in addition, to go to realization. Tend not to simply just head out blindly having status websites.

The only site that I use to check ICO ranks is https://icodrops.com , I don't believe in other websites , most of them get pay to rank an ICO and they dont write reality.

Rating sites now are just used to know which project exist, there what about and plans, neverthan that ratings doesn't matter. It will be better to join in some forum or chats that discuss projects ability than seeking their ratings.

I heard that amazix has a problem with one of the ico review websites, I am afraid this will be a symbol of investor distrust of ico.
investors are so disadvantaged that they are no longer interested in ICO. there must be new rules about such websites.

https://icobench.com
https://icorating.com
https://icomarks.com
as a reference to find out how far the project is running and see the rating.

Yes, the above-mentioned websites are very good for references because ICObench is giving a very good rating for the project which has huge potential in terms activity and team role in the project. We should not consider every project but we have to consider most rating projects.

It is not good to completely believe on the rating websites because of some ICO listing websites are charging for a higher rating, so we need to research ourselves before investing or working for bounty. Before investing not only about rating we need to look at how potential the project is going to after the crowdsale.

Not at all. Its never been a good preference for you to rely on these rating sites.I dont know if you are aware on current issues with these rating sites or not
buti would tell you this that most of them can potentially be paid up to list out or sponsored or recommend a certain project neither a shit one it doesnt matter.
So, you would still end up on getting a good preference for long term since you would end up on a shitty project.

I think much better to make our own research and not to rely to some ICO raters. Yes ICO raters can help us to decide when and where we can invest but much better to make own research and study than to always rely to what ICO raters said to every project.

ICO raters such as icobench or icodrops only make  "our" research become easier. I agree if we shouldn't rely and trust 100% from their rating, but we can use it and we don't need waste too much time to analyze which good ICOs.

Rating sites about projects may attract investors to invest in such projects with high ratings.
But these rating sites are not financial advisors in the first place so it's not a good idea to trust what you saw.
Investigation should always be done first and check whether a that project is good or not.
