Humans will make it to Mars, it's just a matter of time.

If it's not NASA, it'll be one of the several commercial rocket companies, or a collaboration of countries and companies.  I'll go on record and say that we'll have humans settled on Mars before the year 2030.

I truly hope spaceX and BFR will make it to Mars.
But Elon Musk is playing a risky game. Hope not too risky.

Raptor engine has chamber pressure of 300bar, which is more than any other rocket engine has ever had  -Risky
Composite fuel tanks have never been used in such a scale and with so cold O2.  -Risky

Hathor was the Egyptian goddess of the sky back between 2686–2181 BC - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hathor#Temples.

But some people - like Graham Hancock - believe that Hathor was a recent corruption of some far more ancient knowledge. They think that there was a great global cataclysm back somewhere around 10,000 to 14,000 years ago, that almost completely wiped out races of people on Earth, who had knowledge far superior to ours. Some of that knowledge filtered down in the form of the Egyptian gods and the gods of the other ancient nations of the world. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wJw1DcI2e4.

According to this understanding, the Temple of Hathor at Dendera, Egypt, was simply built to honor a goddess, the real knowledge of whom had long since passed away. This goddess always retained some great amount of honor, even when other gods and goddesses seemed to become popular. The question is, why? The answer can be seen in her greatest temple.

When you visit the Temple of Hathor at Dendera, you will see the sky... the sky adorning the ceiling of the Temple. The constellations are up their, in clear and accurate view, lasting from ancient times. But what is really exciting is the columns holding up the sky (roof). Note in the picture below, the columns with their "scripting" on the sides, and the capitals on top. Look at the capitals in the picture, below. Notice that they are 4-sided, with each side being a carving of the face of a man (a pharaoh?) wearing ancient Egyptian headdress.

Of course, the carving of the capitals was done with the best information that the sculptors had at the time. But everybody should be familiar with the headdress form on the top of these pillars that are holding up the sky. Take a close look at them. They are the base of rocket engines.

The ancients had mastered the method of placing their rocket engines atop of their rockets. This is shown by the pillars. And the fact that the pillars are pointed at the sky shows that the ancients could fly to the lands of outer space. We might make it to Mars. But if we find life there, it came from here... from the ancient people who had knowledge vastly superior to ours.

Problem is, it's very complicated not only in technical way (i'm sure it solvable), but in financial too (no one really wants to invest billions, if not trillions of dollars into something that won't pay dividends relatively soon). So while i have faith in humanity (for some reason) and hope to see the glorious day, i doubt we will make to Mars anytime soon.

I hope it will happen during our lifetime.  It’s good to explore other planets in the universe.  Maybe will meet other life forms out there and also learn something about our own future.

I didn't knew what to say about it either. The foil-hats always make hysterical.

We may never make it to Mars.  A lot of countries are starting to indiscriminately launch satellites.

An accident between countries is going to happen.  Our future depends on how serious that accident is.

It's very possible that humanity will be stranded on this planet until the CO2 buildup kills most, if not all of us.

Yeah. That perspective is really frightening. And seeing how many country leaders just keep "barking" at each other, we may never see coordinated effort of going into space.

We can make it to the Mars but when? dont know, its only the competition between countries to prove their technological superiority over others will encourage them to go to the Mars. Space X and other companies will keep trying but I think state sponsored agencies will make it first.

Yes. All 7.5 to 8 billion of us... and dead people included, right?

 ;D

I never question that human technology cannot make it to Mars in the future. But will Mars really suitable for living? That seems more important.
Terramorphing tech already exist, though quite on limited scale, but, in near future, it could be made suitable.

I gave you a merit simply because you read before replying.  No one seems to do that anymore.

I don’t even know why would they go to the Mars and be there. Can somebody explain it to me?

Human nature.  We are predisposed to venture into the unknown, and make it known.

We like to attribute it to our desire for knowledge, our quest for development of our species, our instinct to survive.  But from an outside observer it may appear like we are a fungus, a virus, lichen on a rock.  Both perspectives are equally true.  All organic life has the desire to prosper.

Yes, i Believe it will happen before 2025. Just look at recent progress :)
I tbink between 2025-2030 we will see "rich" people traveling to Mars.

Really looking forward to the future!

Yes. Get there, pretty soon. Live there, maybe not just yet. Although the earliest could be within this century maybe.

To be honest, I don’t think it’s feasible. It would probably be too expensive anyway. Plus, it doesn’t solve our current problems. We’re failing when it comes to the proper care of the environment, plus there’s overpopulation. What about politics and social issues? It seems like just a temporary band-aid. I’d rather we explore other technologies like AI, VR and AR.

They are the future of our planet.
They will soon open a deep tunnel through a long mountain.
Nobody believes that they will do it, but they did.
Of course they will be able to saddle Mars, the moon, and possibly the sun.
Behind them the future!

Probably so. It might not have that big of an effect on our lives in the nearest future tho.

YES, definitely. It is just a matter of time and a bit more advancements in technology and humans will reach Mars.
