Will Ripple be able to repeat the history again this year ? Last year we predicted the value of $5 for one Ripple but we got almost more than $3 ? Kindly share your feedback about the Ripple.

That's a too much optimistic point of view.
Even if we hit the December 2017 - January 2018 Bull run, Ripplewon't hit the $5.
The Market Cap is already too big & the multipliers (the ROI) won't be the same, this is just like pure Math.

Even the last ALH won't be reach with the same Market Cap of the last bull run, we need at least $1T for the whole CMC to see ripple @ $5 (May be)

hopefully if the bull run should commence any time from October-December, i think that ripple might make a greater rise than other altcoins in the top 50. ripple is quite a good coin and i think it is underrated

But I'll stop thinking that it will go up high again. Once XRP reaches a new all time high expect that it will be dumped later on. It was able to reach #2 again today on CMC but its replaced again quickly by Ethereum. There's a massive pump and dump that's happening on it.

That's right just like what happened last week. We've seen that kind of behaviour wherein it seems like there's a manipulation but I think there is.

Possibly in $5 if BTC will go up more than the $20k value last year but looking on the current market if BTC can reach $10k until EOY probably a dollar is enough.

That's how it moves and though we are guessing but that's really a pump due to the xrapid and I think its effects are still on going. $5 XRP = $20k btc? no, I don't think so. When bitcoin reached nearly $20,000 last Dec. XRP's price was $3.

Well it all depends from overall market condition. I am not involved in XRP just because when I started last year with investments xRP was cheap as hell,it was 0.06 and offcourse i never jumped in , and now its too late just because I could invest while it was very cheap. If there is another big bull run very easy XRP will be at 5$

Ripple is doing good. After a long sleep, Ripple is giving huge profits to its investors. Last year we predicted 5$ and it went to the 3.83 USD, even I bought Ripple at 3.65 USD. This year, after a long time bear market, if the crypto market starts growing then still I don't think Ripple can cross 5 USD, even I don't think Ripple can overcome 2 USD this year. A lot of people are eagerly waiting to sell their holding coins if the price up like the last year. So, It will be very difficult for Ripple to cross even 2 USD.

I highly doubt it will, every coin had period of rise when bitcoin was rising, personally I don't think bitcoin will rise this year too much, so for this reason I highly doubt any coin will rise significantly too. Ripple has to do nothing in cryptos, this coin has a lot common with banks and same financial institutes, it's not something we like, anonymity and etc.
I think it will reach 5$ and more in two years, after bitcoin halving.

But it will not for this year. Remember when it was reaching the peak price and XRP has been getting a big pump to the above $1. it will not easy to reach the previous ATH at this market. Remember we are still waiting for ETF once it gets rejected by SEC and it could easily drive the price of bitcoin and whole of crypto.

I don't hold ripple and i do not seeing it getting to $5, unless there's a huge pump which is not good for any coin,  It will be better for it to have an organic growth that pump which definitely end up as dump.

for the current market situation it will not be able to happen, even though Ripple prices are rising very high but I am sure to get the $ 5 price is very difficult, but if the market stabilizes then I am sure the Ripple price can increase to $ 5 or more.

If it is more than $20k probably if its true that BTC will go up to $50k, we will never know what will happen. One thing that I am sure of, MOST coins/tokens growth still depends on BTC even though they have a huge announcement or development on their project.

I expect 1 to 1.5USD in end of the year because ripple not a worthy project but someone push the backward so surely it will moving to forward gradually. But 3 to 5 USD is really unfair because this not a wealthy investment so peoples are left this investment. So banking project is good to see the government side they are all push to first position but Bitcoin is always king of crypto market. So Ripple will survive in long term relationship of crypto but never reach the 5 USD in this year.

This could actually happen especially when the bull run comes. I already missed the opportunity to earn last week when ripple pumped up a little. Will wait for the price to go low and make sure that I will buy it this time. Don't want to miss the party by the end of the year.  To be honest, $2 will be a more realistic target than $5. In 2017 I was beware of the Ripple would dethrone Bitcoin. This crypto currency looked so promising. But then XRP has fallen deep. I've heard that Ripple is mostly traded on South Korean crypto exchange markets, so the XRP price is so volatile by 25% per day. Yesterday Ripple overcame Ethereum and was rated 2nd by capitalization.

Now XRP costs $0.5 and its capitalization is about 21 billions USD. If Ripple crosses $5, its capitalization will be $21G * ($5 / $0.5) = $21G * 10 = 210 billions USD. In this case Bitcoin which has a capitalization of $112G, will indeed be dethroned.

Rippe's rally has been very strong in the last week, but I don't think Ripple will exceed $5 this year. The market is going through a bear market correction. I think Ripple will go through a long fall with Bitcoin.

I could see it crossing $1 this year and maybe going even higher next year if the overall market has improved.

With the way Ripple is going the possibility is there that Ripple will make further progress in its price but hitting $5 is what no one can predict for now but only the market will determine. But one thing is very clear Ripple is worth investing in,because Ripple has delivered many times.

I see ripple going to $0.003 and then disappearing as the banks roll out a blockchain for international transfer being developed by the SWIFT consortium. The banks are never going to widely adopt a blockchain they don't own and control. It is not just about the money either. If they have a system where the only people who can participate are banks it leaves them much less vulnerable to hackers, who even if they manage to hack the system will have no where to spend the money.

all possibilities can occur. I am personally not interested in coin Ripple because I have trusted ETH and BTC as the most promising investment places. ETH and BTC are very popular and the price is also good, the advantages of ETH and BTC coins make my confidence stronger and stronger.

This year no!, ripple will not reach $5 this year, but it will increase up to $1 I think, maybe we can see that $5 price in the next year.

It's alright to hope, but do not expect. There's only a very very small chance of reaching that value. Imagine the whole market is down for some times and just recovering kn a slow pace.

Assuming that the BTC/XRP price stays the same or even close, Ripple can't get to $5 unless Bitcoin hits $65K.  That's a bit of a stretch and I don't think it will happen this year.

Everything is uncertain in the future but we are hopeful that it will be positive as for bitcoin. And that's what we have observed for the past ups, when bitcoin goes up other alts are going up as well and majority are going up. But don't be so excited on this part as there's some twist that can happen in the future too, its possible that bitcoin will continue to dominate while many alts are going to be down.

It's not easy to reach its ATH and ETF hype would mostly give favor to bitcoin not XRP.

Why would it cross $5?
Is there some kind of magical function that ripple has that will make it that valuable?

I don't believe that it will happen. I am warning everyone to be cautious on Ripple because the price increase can be a trap for others to invest more. We all know that majority of the volume from Ripple are from investors within their company. $5 is quite a high price if we base it on its price today at $0.53. $1-$2 sounds more realistic. Congratulations to those who have sold their coin last price pump for Ripple. Don't have that much capital to join the party. I missed it.

We should see Ripple as a for long-term investment coin. It has a good background and development behind it that is why it is ranked as one of the top coins today. But Ripple hitting $5 I think is too much. I must assume it could get up to $3.5 because thinking that it would hit $5 is too optimistic.

That mean XRP should be going another 10 times, and this is will be possible if bull market really coming. History price action of Ripple can tell us when bull market XRP just need less than 1 month to going up 10 times. I'm holding XRP now but I think it's impossible. Though Ripple has good forward, achieve many big goals and partnerships, but the demand of XRP doesn't increase too much, it's hard to boost XRP price. The brightest prospect of XRP is $2 at end of this year.

$2 is the price that can be reached this year but it is too early to confirm this because the market is still downtrend and can not be confirmed yet. If you choose XRP as a long-term investment, this may be the best choice as the technology of ripple is being applied in big banks and the price increase will surely happen soon.

As far as the knowledge I have of ripple, it is the good coin and has a good future. The good news is that many banks who are otherwise against cryptocurrency, are positive about ripple. It will depend on the overall crypto currency bull run, however and on the Ripple itself. A lot of very interesting projects are coming out and XRP with its Xrapid technology might be the game changer in the banking world. It's  always hard to predict this market cause it's highly volatile and hard to predict. Yeah many people is saying that ripple will show a very big bull run and it will go more than last times high point. But in my opinion for that we need a very bullish market we need almost 1 trillion or more market cap to achieve ripple cross it's  last all time high which was almost $3.50. cause the recent market is 22 million for ripple. And we need at least 80-90 million or above market cap for ripple and also need more than 400$ market cap for Bitcoin to achieve ripple it's new all time high. I find it difficult that this year Ripple can overcome its ATH and reach to $ 5 because it would mean a market increase for XRP from 20 Billion to 200 Billion, which seems unlikely at the moment with a bear market since the beginning of the year. The market is unpredictable and we don't know what direction it will take at the end of the year but it's difficult to imagine that in just over 3 months such a large increase for Ripple and for the other cryptocurrencies. XRP has huge supply right now but it wont be that value this year ethereum's value has decreased yes but it doesnt mean XRP will surpass ethereum in trading volume.There will be much more bigger than these alts.I found several coins in the market which has less trading volume and cap but has good potential,for example ravencoin which has the core team of bitcoin.

Haven't you heard of XRapids? Its a positive news that push the XRP in the last couple of days. It even swap with Ethereum to be the number 2 coins as far as marketcap and trading volumes.

No way. I do not like ripple at all. This coin is centralised without any supply limits. It is a traditional banks try to get a piece of pie of our crypto industry. I would not recommend to trust in this coin and I do not think, that it will touch 5 USD ever.

im afraid there will be no bull run in this year so i guess i hope ripple could atleast reach $1-$2. Bull run will happen in 2019 when etf are approved and more improvement in regulations.

imho 5 of usd is too high for ripple, 1$ or 2$ will be very good for holders, this bump was very predictable, however with such good develop it can go at 3$, and I'm sure ripple will replace ethereum very soon at top2.

A few days back I seen the price Ripple rose very drastically, and now it happened again. Many people who consider and even look one eye at Ripple cause the issues stating that Ripple doesn't have a decentralized system. Did you know that everything is possible? We can't predict on what will happen this coming week, months or a year. The price of ripple now are pumping and many people are saying that it will replace the ethereum in second place. There is no point in investing into Ripple as it is clearly against the concept of crypto currency but some greedy users who wants a temporary gain will invest into ripple and cash out right before the fall , no matter if ripple cross $5 or $50 still the dev team can manipulate the value by supply more coin into the market to drop it's value and reinvest.

I am not sure that ripple will cross $5 in this year. Because now the price of ripple is not good enough. It is true that the price of ripple has increased than before. But $5 is very hard for ripple. Because now the price of ripple is 0.53$. I think it’s not possible this year. If bitcoin price will reach $20k or $20k up, then it may be possible. Asides being a centralized coin, I've studied the price movements of Ripple in the past week and it's safe to say it's just a pump and dump coin in my opinion. Whales come out and pump real hard, and then suddenly then dump on you, $5 is too ambitious, it first needs to reach it's ATH of $3 which will hardly happen except there's a BTC bull run

In my opinion, $ 2 is the highest ripple that can be achieved this year. 2018 is a dismal year for the electronic money market and the ripple is hardly reaching $ 5 in 2018.

I think the possibility of Ripple reaching 5$ this year is not certain due to the market trend of this year. For Ripple to rise up to that, it will means that there will be a huge bullrun that will affect the entire market and I don't see it coming this year.

With constant positive news on the ripple, we can expect a price of $ 5. But now it does not look very likely. Even if the price reaches 5$ , then for a very short time in the form of a pump and a further dump.

Well, there is an excitement as to how much would be the Ripple price because it has been going up and now it is consolidating. There is a newly launch project which involves ripple so it is one of the reasons why the coin has been going up. Even if there are many people who do not like ripple because most of the coins are in the hands of its creator which is not a good sign and it is centralized but still for those who want to take the opportunity of getting a profit from it, I think ripple is a good coin to trade.

As for the record, Ripple replaced Ethereum in the second place for two times already at coinmarketcap but unfortunately, Ripple were unable to hold the position for even a week so it is clear that it was just a pump by the whales. This year is one of the worst year for cryptocurrency so it is impossible for Ripple to cross $5 this year unless there will be a big news that RIpple will be recognized as a fiat currency.

XRP going to be just $1 is already a success all the more if it hit $5. If they can keep the $1 for more than a year, its going to be supported by institution who will be using it. Thus it will be more than $1 in the long run.

Ripple is not going to repeat any history until the general market conditions of cryptocurrency improves. I have not seen any coin that grow and increase in price in isolation, market situation determine the pace of growth in most cases!

I'm sitting with ripple myself, who bought for $ 0.8 ! Hope of a repeat of last year ! It seems to be on the coin out a lot of positive news ! but much persuasion is yet to be seen! So that there is big doubts about 5$

The year is almost coming to an end with barely three months remaining. I think Ripple will not hit $5 before the year runs out, though anything possible can happen but I don't see it happening so soon.

I honestly doubt ripple will touch 3usd this year. It has witnessed massive growth of late which I am strongly sure we didn't see happening (Displacing Ethereum in terms of market capitalization). However, I think ripple will soon undergo some price correction which might take some time to see it shooting again. Ripple is a great project and has the potentials to grow even further but I think its growth will be more organic after the price correction. Here is to hoping that growth is soon..... Lol

Ripple can cross 5$ but i do not think it will happen this year. Market condition has affected all coins on the market and has depreciated the cost of all coins. Market conditions still seem to be unpredictable and is still yet to recover.

I do not see Ripple $5 this year. Even if we will have  bullish market it does not realistic.  $5 is like x 10  and it would
mean $2 trillion total market value. We are very far from that. We have some legit,  stable coins entering the market beside

Well, I don't normally follow ripple but in the world of crypto, anything can happen. I sometimes hear news about ripple overtaking ethereum to second spot for a short while. I don't think that ripple can cross $5 this year because there is a small chance for ripple to increase for that price. And if we can see, there will need more than good news that will support ripple to improve, and we are still on less than $1 so far. Maybe this less than $1 will stay until the end of this year, and the price will start to increase in the next year. But all in all, I think ripple can grow more than $5 but not in this year and still need the longer time before the price can rise higher.

It is sitting at 60 cents right now and even with that it was at second in the market and if you think ripple all of a sudden will increase close to 10 times in the rest of this year than you are delusional. Not even $1.5. The team seem very interested to have more money than pursuing the adoption. If they are to make the price of XRP go higher, they should be the first to stop shorting what they have. They announce big news, and then dump after a bad news and law suit news and then partnering news and then dump again.  I doubt it will be a $1 this December.

I do think it will hit $5, but this is very unlikely to happen within the next few months, it's too much of a jump. XRP couldn't do this alone, we'd need a whole crypto price jump too.

when i read speculation about ripple and 5 $ price, i thinked this post was made in FEB 2018. when price was 3.3$, and now price is down then 0.5$ and you say about 10X? hm, i think its so hard to predict, but its not impossible, if in 2018 DEC will be GOOD pumps, luck like as 2018 pumps, i think it will possible, but now market is slipping. and i cant say about guaranteed prices.

5 dollars for ripple is really possible to happen. Maybe this year or next year. The good in ripple not only 5 dollars is possible to hit because maybe it will become 100 hundreds dollars each ripple and you will earn more profit and possible you rich.

Well we can't say that ripple reach $5 price this year because bearish market is hard to make a profit in ripple hopefully when the bull runs start we reach a $5 price so it will be great to make a profit.

You really do not know what you're talking about, ripple is barely above 0.5 dollars and you want it to reach a price of 100 dollars? You want an increase of 200 times its current price when that coin is already third in terms of market cap? I think like this, when ripple was 0.2 dollar we said that it cant be 1 dollar and it passed 3 dollar quickly, ripple has big fan and community its price can rise again like beginning of year, but I dont think we can see this at 2018, maybe in next year we can see new ath.

Ripple is widely known to be centralized. Being a centralized one would mean there is so much potential for manipulation. To rise to $5 is really something the market would not be ready for.

Nothing is impossible, we can see that XRP is now outperforming ETH, and occupy the No. 2 position in the electronic money market after the BTC. So I think it's a good idea to invest in XRP and wait for the opportunity, even though you can not say for sure that they will rise to $ 5 but you may be profitable.

For sure, 5$ is out of range of xrp this year. This price can only be considered for a long term. By the end of the year, only 6 weeks were left and if there is no bull run, xrp will not even exceed 1$. As per the current market situation, I don't think ripple will cross 5$ this year. Because the current market is consistently falling down. So I don't think any bull run will come at the end of this year. So there won't any probability of ripple to rise up to 5$.

i don't really think so. maybe the highest value that it can give is 3$ but after that, sooner or later the price will go down again because it will be dumped by the other holders of it.

Bitcoin prices are falling sharply from few months so we can't expect big splash from any altcoin for short term like 4-5 dollar for ripple. But if you have enough patient and can wait long term, you can see 5-6 dollar for ripple also, it is not hard for ripple or other big projects.
