Post by: Squedge on March 06, 2014, 02:39:19 PM
Hello bitcointalk users,

Can you please complete this quick survey about Bitcoin, the results of the survey will be used for my dissertation.
It is completely anonymous.  ::)

What's the subject of your dissertation? You can't just post a link to a survey on a bitcoin forum and then claim that 80% of the people have heard about bitcoin, you'll need to have a random sample of your target audience.

Also: "have you heard about bitcoin" sounds like a pretty binary question to me. You've heard about it or your haven't. I don't see why this has a 1-10 scale.

And: "Did you know there are over 60 organisations in the UK accepting Bitcoin as a payment option?" -> well... you just stated that fact... You shouldn't have told me before asking the question because that leads to biased results.

And: "Would you exchange fiat currencies (GBP, USD, EUR) for virtual currencies (BTC, LTC)?" -> do you mean ALL fiat or a small part of it?

And: "Select the answer which you think applies to Bitcoin." -> why only 3 choices? Is it worth either 1, 10 or 300+? Nothing in between? Do you mean worth at the moment? Or in the future?

And: "Do you think Bitcoin will be a viable currency for the future?" -> future as in tomorrow? Or 2 years? Or 5 years? Or 10 years?

Sorry, but the overall quality of your questions is very very poor, I really don't see how anyone could accept the results of this for a dissertation.
