They're very similar, in that they're both infrastructure projects that will operate smart contracts on their blockchain. EOS aims to do what ETH does just quicker and cheaper, that's really the only difference from a basic point of view.

Well, EOS could have all the potential that articles try to show, but honestly, on my side (the user), I haven't yet figured out how to run a full node  :P

EOS is just another platform along Ethereum, Neo and Waves that manages to become pretty successful. Their idea of decentralising all the businesses is very general and ambitious. I do hope that with huge money raised and high market capitalization they will actually manage to do things instead of making very good-looking promises. That holding EOS makes it free to use the network is interesting, but it's not enough to make a huge difference, and the differences between a good platform and a shitty one are so delicate that only professionals can see the difference and try to explain why EOS is different from everything else. I myself am not really into trusting something that cannot be explained in a conceivable way.

Don't you people read the news?! The EOS team has practically disbanded with 3 of the senior team leaders packing their bags and starting a new project on their own. EOS is now a failed platform with no management or development, better start unloading those bags

The main reason to be optimistic about EOS, to put it simply, is that the project will take the share of the market from Ethereum. How and why can this happen? EOS is ahead of Ethereum in the following areas: scalability and performance, focus on convenience and ease of use, attention to market demands. I consider investments in EOS reasonable and promising.

EOS has not really been impressive with all the money raised in ICO and despite running the longest ICO in crypto history. Again, they are just an improvement of ETH especially with regards to scalability and performance. I'm not sure they've lived up to the billing with regards to ease of use, as it is still a herculean task creating a new EOS wallet

Deso EOS have their own blockchain. I wasn't aware.
I'm not a fan of EOS but have invested to it months ago which I even received airdrops. I didn't move my tokens outside the exchange but what I do know is that EOS is running in the ETHEREUM platform. Why is that so that they are different platform?

EOS are having great potential and most of people here is already comparing it in ethereum because there are similarity. I fully believe that EOS had a role in the future.

The history of the creation of the EOS and its development, the technological characteristics of the EOS blockchain attracted me. Belief in this altcoin provides the basis for many investments. Now that the market has moved in the direction of stability, one must boldly invest in EOS.

EOS Blockchain aims to be a decentralized operating system that can support industrial-scale decentralized applications. And they plan to completely remove transaction costs. Also claim to have the ability to do millions of transactions per second.
