Title: Protect Satoshi
Post by: S4VV4S on March 06, 2014, 08:04:13 PM
Whether he is the real deal or not, it is our duty to protect the man who is in a VERY difficult position right now.

I propose we start raising funds in order to protect him.

I do not have much but I am more than willing to give some of the little I have to protect Satoshi and Bitcoin.

Anyone else with me?

This will definitely give some food for thoughts for the ones who are trying to crush Bitcoin.

What do we say?: [quotes Gandalf the Gray (at the time)]
Thou shall not pass!

It's not the satoshi, but someone we got in trouble with bitcoin crazy shit.

I'll donate. Even if it's just to protect some dude, that's not satoshi, but just got a shitstorm over him.

satoshi is not at a security risk.

calm down everyone

the creator of bitcoin is not the Californian in the report. so get that fud out your head
secondly the bitcoin creator wont be kidnapped or water-boarded by governments if ever found
thirdly, every few months another person new to bitcoin suddenly thinks they know it all and have the solution. much like going to KFC for the first time and thinking you have figured out the colonels secret recipe, out the other millions of people before you that said the same thing and were all wrong.

calm down everyone

the world will keep spinning
the sun will rise again tomorrow
governments will continue to tax you
nothing has changed.

even if they find the true satoshi, bitcoin cannot be shut down and the control of bitcoin is not in satoshi's hands to do anything with. so please will people stop panicking and making 2 dozen topic posts just today about the boring and endless 'who is satoshi'

You don't get my point.....

If we don't respond NOW, then we have no say when it comes to Bitcoin.

THE GUY IS INNOCENT.
That's why he needs protection.

EDIT: Besides, what is it going to cost you? 0.01BTC?
Is that not worth saying that Bitcoin is here to stay?

Why would we have to raise funds for someone that over $400 million in Bitcoins?

He can afford a tank, chopper, and a small militia for that amount.

I propose we start raising funds in order to protect him.

Let me guess...we just need to send our bitcoins to an address you control personally.  Sounds legit.

No, he can't because if he uses even one of those BTC (if it is really him) then he will make things clear that he is Satoshi.

But if he is Satoshi, which looks very possible, he can figure out a way to do it anonymously(he is Satoshi for God's sake) without bringing attention to himself.

The guy (if it's him) created the dang protocol and is a cryptographic genius, but can't send a payment without detection???

Believe me, if it were him, he'd figure it out.

How exactly do you propose protecting him?
After all it's his decision to claim he is Satoshi, he wasn't forced to it.

Title: Re: Protect Satoshi

So, moving the very first coins that were created wont cause suspicions?

Well, if we can raise enough to have a team and protect him, that would be good.
A solid statement by the community members as well.

Soliciting donations for Satoshi LOL....

Last I checked, he had over a million BTC.

~BCX~
Soliciting donations for 'fake' Satoshi, don't want to see the guy killed, injured, stressed or hurting btc unnecessary  I'll donate a bit to have a protection detail outside his house for a month or so. Don't know, feel sad for the dude, and the shitstorm. But well, everyone that been here long enough. (This is not my first bitcointalkaccount) should know this is not the satoshi but a satoshi. Let's get some protection for the dude, we can't have a satoshi die on us, or am I wrong?

What point? That if he is the real Satoshi he has one million BTC making him much richer than all of us put together? Or that if he's not the real Satoshi but is claiming he is and effectively lying to everyone when he's really just a run of the mill broke like a joke old man?

If it's the prior, he doesn't need your donations; and if it's the latter he can go suck a bag of dicks for all I care. (I can't pull up the article right now, so correct me if I'm wrong and he isn't actually claiming to be the creator of Bitcoin)

So a reporter just happens to interview him and take pictures of him and he didn't once ask why? You're trying to tell me the guy is oblivious as to why this reporter was interviewing him?

I can see it now, "Oh, you want to do an interview on me just because I'm awesomesauce? By all means take a seat. I'll answer all of your questions and pose for some shots; just make sure to get my good side".

that's assuming Satoshi has only one BTC wallet address.

I'd be up for helping Satoshi, if Satoshi needs help, although if this guy is the THE Satoshi, he may or may not need/want our help in a public way.  He's not a criminal, has done nothing illegal and is sitting on a mountain of money.

All he needs to do is what anyone needs to do when the wolves are at the door and you're plenty liquid.  Get a good legal team and beat the crap out of them.  Sue the shit out of everyone for every damn thing you can think of until they get tired of it and go away.

If he wants/needs our help he can let us know.  He started the forum, after all, so he's got to be smart enough to come here and know he has support if he wants it.  There are plenty of people here, I know, that would step up and help this guy if he needs it.

IF and that is a big IF he is the real Satoshi Nakamoto. But he most likely is NOT, and now we have a fame craving journalist bitch that puts this poor old mans live in great risk. How many hear could actually think straight if the whole god damn world wrote about your entire life, family and pretty much made you famous overnight because of some retarded person that calls herself a journalist. Just look here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1zqp2i/if_you_believe_the_report_about_satoshi_nakamotos/

THIS IS NOT OUR SATOSHI NAKAMTO! Its an old man, that is sick, had a stroke and is in danger of dying. The stress alone inflicted by this whore is enough to kill an athlete in his prime.

totally agree.  hasn't been proven yet, although I think we'll find out in the next few weeks one way or the other.

yah, the journalist should be punched in the face either way.  without proof, which she did not have, she had no right pointing to anyone.

People need to realize this.

I'm not condoning donations or such, but I really wish people would think outside the box and understand that if a person is believed to be someone they will be harassed or even murdered.

It'll make you happier than knowing I have BTC that you "think" I don't deserve.

I'll keep adding Bitcoins to my wallet, and you'll continue having an opinion, and the world will keep turning. But it's cute of you to think you know anything about me and what I do or do not deserve.
