Title: Why did the Genesis Mining has changed information on their Contact page!?
Post by: usmras on October 07, 2018, 02:03:44 PM
Today I have come across the Genesis Mining 'contact page' https://www.genesis-mining.com/contact and find out something is changed! last year when I bought SHA256 BTC contact from Genesis mining I remember their office address was in Hong Kong, and there were 2 addresses from Iceland.

But now their office address is changed to British Virgin Islands, so to confirm this I went to archive.org & find out that the changes were made after the 3rd of July 2018.

Here is the direct link of the archive.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20180703221823/https://www.genesis-mining.com/contact you can verify by yourself.

I should found this suspicious or its normal?

A fraudulent cloud mining site is making suspicious moves. Who would've thought. Water is wet and the earth is round...

If this is the thing that's starting to make you suspicious about Genesis-Mining.... Well.. I don't know what to tell you.

Maybe you want to take a look at these threads aswell.

It's normal for a suspicious company.

Don't trust Genesis Mining. They are likely trying to cover their legal bases as to avoid prosecution for the shitstorm that will inevitably follow.

Just to post the current location on their website;

Genesis Mining Cloud Services Ltd.

Trinity Chambers, P.O. Box 4301,
Road Town, Tortola,
British Virgin Islands
----------------------------------

Payments processed by:
Genesis Mining Iceland ehf.
Company No. 521016-0430
Borgartúni 27, 105 Reykjavík, Iceland.

On agent, its still similar but on their main office had change to virgin islands. They are already making theirselves too obvious on where this would be heading.

You should start hoping that your money won't be safe anymore in this cloudmining site. If they are not into a suspicious activity a change of address like what they did should be disclose publicly where all of its users including the potential ones should know this kind of information not unknowingly changing it right away. If you want to clarify things maybe trying to contact them might also work, and if they didn't respond to your query this might confirm that they are doing something suspicious.

I mean, it could just be an innocent move but it could be something more.

Firstly, you have to realize that genesis mining is not the trusted cloud mining company that the youtube shills/affiliates who promote the site on a daily basis make it out to be. These are all profit driven individuals who'll say positive things to get their affiliate/referral earnings.

It could indeed be a move to prevent legality issues in the future if they get hit by something of that sort. No doubt about it. It's just another reason to move away from this site which has proven to be pretty much completely unprofitable, even if it was mining and reporting profits accurately.
