For the past three weeks bitcoin remain a little bit above $6,500  and there is no effort to push above $7,000. I believe that the next breakout may create another market directions that should push bitcoin above $10,000 if the breakout is bullish or dump it to $5500 area.  I will like to know your view if bitcoin will get to $10,000 this year again.

It just doesn't seem like a a breakout to the upside is more likely than a breakout to the downside, there has been so much positive news coming out in the past few months that literally does nothing to the price, it just keeps going sideways.

In the article below you can see the good news the hedge fund manager list out that has done nothing to the price, there is just little to no speculative volume that the price of bitcoin will go up in the short term.

On the contrary, and I hate to say it, but there seem to be people drooling at the opportunity to short bitcoin at the moments notice of any kind of bad news.

If we get any kind of bad news for ETFs or some popular big wig executive to state publicly that bitcoin is bad I would look to see the recent spike to 6600 be whipped away very fast.

Just because there have been good news doesn't really mean bitcoin hasn't been doing anything. Sometimes big players deal in over the counter prices and gather a lot more by changing hands and you do not see it changing hands.

However if you are worrying that bitcoin is not doing what it suppose to do during good news days don't worry because even when the china ban happened after couple months bitcoin reached the ATH prices and when etf got rejected it didn't move a bit downside neither. So bitcoin is news-prone which means it doesn't move according to the news neither upside nor downside no matter what type of news it is.

probably around 9k like what others predictions but not sure about that because it's just a speculation,  and we have no strong TA about it , i think much better to wait for more results on this upcoming month which is November.  Before making final prediction for this year end because market is still stagnant and didn't  even show a sign until now.

Are you guys still predicting that the price will recover back to $10k? Look at the market, it's obvious that it's impossible to hit the $10k value again or even $9k because there are many groups of whales who can control the price movement like what happened today.

However, there is a possibility that this will happen next year or after "blockhalving".

What I see on the market these days had little difference compared to the old price movement, but they still have similarities.

So, I think there is a big possibility that the 2014 price movement it might happen again these coming months.

Even now as I checked, price has dropped below the $6,500 resistance level that has been built for weeks but we are not perturbed as it is expected. Now is the time everyone needs to reconsider his expectation on what the price needs to be. At this point, it won't be out of place to conclude that we might not see $10,000 anytime soon. It might sound pessimistic but its better to face the fact and gets disappointed in the positive way than raise the bar only to get the negative surprise eventually.

But what I have come to now observe is that there has been scanty bad news that is always present in the crypto space for a while now only for them to start resurfacing the moment there is a pick in the price of bitcoin. Conclusively, people brace up people the coming days are going to be a tough run.

How is it obvious that it is impossible for the price to reach +$9000 levels this year? It's unlikely, but not impossible.

The same group of whales you are referring to won't have much of a problem lifting the price back up, and if you look at Q4 of every year, the price has an extremely bullish bias to it. I'm not expecting the price to hit the aforementioned levels, but definitely well over $7000 before the end of the year.

Current dump is great to buy yourself into. People as always will blame themselves for not having bought while they had all the time to do so prior to an increase.

Should cross 10k this year and we need to have some patience as well. If people continuously keep selling then yes it will fal and if they just hold it then suddenly we will realize that btc price are soaring to 15k+. It will decide upon global news as well to an extent.

I don't think so :) I expect Bitcoin price will be between 7k and 8k by the end of this year ( this does not mean it is it's real value) because investors know that there will be a sudden bull run but after that... You know what I am talking about :)

The market just drop today, how should we expect that Bitcoin will get to $10k this year when even breaking the resistance was still hard to acquire. What more do we expect from this market? I think the market would still continue to decline to the next following months and will get back by next year.

We still have 3 more months to wait and i don't know what will happen during Christmas because the last time i saw Bitcoin price was so unstable and continue to drop when christmas was almost coming up.

Two months to end this year and I think it is still possible for Bitcoins to cross the 10,000 USD price. Hopefully if a good news concerning the market can make investors increase confidence in Bitcoins, then it is sure to reach or even pass 10,000.

If you are asking this question before this drop, i believe and many people believe it will be there more or less but now it seems a little bit hard for Bitcoin to reach that point.
even though peoples were buying it when the drop happened, we could see that market sentiment is declining. We are expecting another downturn in a couple days later if we are seeing it from the chart, unless something major happens the price will be declined to around $6000 again before stabilizing its price. the dump was not great enough if we are seeing it from its total volume but it pushed the price that much, it means a lot of people are hesitating and afraid of it right now. We need more news and we need institutional money to change the direction.

Looking at this actually, it shows there is a possibility that the history might want to repeat itself again right and there could be some possibility of a failed breakout towards $8000 before the downtrend continues afterwards towards 4888.7 like you depicted on the chart.

Well, let's see how that would end up playing out actually but so far so good though, it looks like a lot of what happened 2014 has repeated itself on the chart again and that makes me wonder if this is just some bots at work, trying to repeat the same process over and over again. Time will tell! However, there is something with the date of your 2018 actually that makes me think this is already a point where we have passed.

The fact that the market has dropped today still has changed nothing, as all we are basically seeing now is the market still trying to find a direction. The truth actually is that there is always going to be a possibility of a possible breakout upwards which may not really last pretty long and looking at the momentum of the bears lately, it is still possible to see the market go lower.

However, all these are just speculations and we only have to wait to see how time would play out most of these things. It is hard to tell now because we cannot see the future, but with a market anything can happen and all we have as a friend is the trend.

$10k is the minimum value of bitcoin that we can call it real value and no longer under-priced. but the only reason that this rise is not yet happening is because every time price tried rising back up to its real values, it encountered a lot of FUD and dump and we had lots of weak hands thanks to the bubble which made everything that much worse. eventually investors gave up and now they are waiting for the rise to start before jumping in and whales are enjoying the accumulation phase for now.

Believe me this is still very possible and I think it will happen close to the end of the month. We are having this bearish trend because of selling of buy some big players and I think the price is becoming very stable this days. If the current trend continues it might go down further but if we can have a reversal then expect another bull run.

there is nothing stopping bitcoin from reaching $10k in the next 2.5 months but the problem is that for the time being there is nothing making the rise happen either, something like an initiator that can start up the rally. and that I believe is the only reason why price has not yet started showing any kind of big rallies.
but at least the good sign that we have is the fact that price has not gone any lower than $5800-$6000 and that proves that we are already half way thorough the reach-the-bottom stage so the next step which is the rise should be near.

in my opinion, the price of bitcoin will be very easy to return to expensive prices again, in some time ago the price of bitcoin was very easy to go back up to the price of $ 10000 so you have to wait patiently and don't be afraid that the price of bitcoin will be very expensive because of the influence of supply bitcoin will run out.

I think the bitcoin will at least reach $15,000 by the end of this year.  A lot of big investors want to buy coins in anticipation of the next halving.  Bitcoin inflation will be decreasing and value will only be rising. It only took a few months last year for bitcoin to soar to 20k and there is no reason it won't happen again this year.

To my opinion it's not very likely. I'm not saying that is impossibe, Bitcoin can realy surprise us in any way but currently the situation on the market and the mood of investors are not pointing in such direction.
Also recent small price rise isn't factor that would show the price is going to rise continuously, just a minor positive correction.
Still there is few months left until the end of the year so let's wait patient and see how the situation is going to develope.

I think bitcoin will reach over 10,000$ this year in December. The best we can do is to wait and hold our coins. And if possible make some trades and get more coins and have some good profit in medium, long term. The bitcoin should grow in price also for miners, in some countries the electricity price is so higher and i think bitcoin will not drop and will grow.

Did you forget about first bullish run that happened in december 2017 ? 
We are very close to $10k, even it is possible in bitcoin to jump overnight within last 24 hours of this year from $7k-$10k.

We are in an era where things are going pretty fast, institutions want to have a part to play, regulation will somehow kick in, adoption would grow hugely and then we will get to see real life usage setting in.

All these bring about the optimism that there is a great time ahead of us all and taking advantage of now is a whole lot important. $10000 is realistic before the end of the year, but it is nothing anyone can tell if it gets to happen as we cannot see the future, what is important now is to just simply key into the future and know that growth is certain.

I think it's still possible to happen in the year, the price of bitcoin is very volatile and doesn't rule out the possibility that there will be a high leap, and I hope that will happen.

The growth of bitcoin really gives us hope in facing those crucial days, which challenged every person who really expected its greatness. No boundaries no limits, just a potential seen so people remains a strong foundations for bitcoin to make everything possible to all of us and $10K or much higher has no barriers to hinder all possibilities.

I don't think so, bitcoin this year will remain in the price range of $6k - $7k to be able to reach the $10k price. also not guaranteed because the market conditions are very unpredictable. the important thing is from now on we start stock as much as possible all cheap coins including bitcoin for long-term investment, because now is a very good opportunity for stock.

 
  Absolutely, the huge possibilties of an immense developement will abruptly appear as the prices grown on its constitution. $10k will difinitely been the peak we've desired and endurely praising to achieve before this year end. Somehow, we are currently facing a lack of demand, one of the reason of the bearishness. Our fidelity of this currency is very important matter we could contribute in this field, as we are united no boundaries for the bull run, only time can tell.

7000 to 8000 USD is acheivable but for 10,000 before the year come to end, I don't think it is possible. The fundamentals or news that can move bitcoins to such price need to be effective in order to have much impact on it.

for now I think it's difficult, well, this year it's really hard to see the price of bitcoin being above $ 7k. well, that would be a miracle when you see the price of bitcoin returning to the price of $ 10k for this year. and yeah, you're right, this year is a good year to get a lot of stock from bitcoin.

Market is still bearish and there will be a bullish sentiment at the end of year like in last year. But I personally don't think that it will go beyond $10,000 as most of investors lose their confidence on bitcoin due to the massive price drop. It would be the ceiling price for this year in my opinion.

Sure, we are all allowed to think and come up with anything that comes to end, but sometimes I tend to wonder the point of trying to think of something that you really do not have much say about when it comes to event happening in real terms.

This is a market where nothing is predictable and we are certainly in the process of growth with nothing to tell in terms of movement due to its level of volatility and one thing that I have always been certain of is that, it would really be profitable for those who are here in the long run and that is all that matters anyway. Speculating would not bring anything, knowing how to handle you with trends and time is what is important.

That is very possible to happen because Bitcoin has a very large number of users so that the price of Bitcoin could increase significantly. The price of Bitcoin is currently at a price range of 6,500USD, whereas in the past year the price of Bitcoin has reached more than 15,000USD. So it's not impossible that Bitcoin prices can be on a positive track. We just need to wait and continue to support various efforts that can improve cryptocurrency capabilities in the world today. The end of the year is still quite long and there is still plenty of time to reach such a level again.

It is the real price that we can wait for. 10 thousand is the goal of Bitcoin now. Those guys, who suppose that it can cost 20K, are wrong. We'll not see it this year.

Yeah, the main thing is to just keep holding and if there is a chance to buy now, buy more, and even if it goes lower, then even buy as much as you can because one way or the other, even if we do not get to see a huge growth this year, we would get to see it at some point next year or the next one or for as long as it takes.

This space is developing every single day and I am pretty sure a lot of people understand that the future is what matters a lot, and as long as they are taking advantage of the opportunities they have now, they would not even regret it in the long run. In that case, no one will be bothered if bitcoin reaches $10k or not as long term is what they would be after.

Well, i'm positive about a 10k ending but not because of an sec approval. There's really no reason why it should have that much effect. The whales are more likely to be the reason why we'll get to that point

I bet people in 2017 were saying the same thing. The price was at 5000 in Autumn and when asked if we could go to 20000 the most prevailing answer just had to be no, there's not enough time for that. Maybe 10000 this year if we're lucky. And we needed only 2 months to quadruple the price.
With Bitcoin you can never know. It likes to put people's predictions and patience to a test.

This is already concluded that $10,000 will be really impossible for now, that only miracle can make this speculation to become true as the current market price is now hardly to bounce back to $4,000. Hopefully by next year as most of the bullish predictions are now shifted from this year to next year. Lets wait and see then.

If we have couple of days bull run then it is quite possible to regain 8k and above and might even soar to 10k if the whales are back in the market as it will push up the demand in the market and as a result price will start o rise much quicker than expected.
