Title: Best way to buy $1000-$2000 btc per week?
Post by: endlesstime on October 10, 2018, 03:33:52 AM
Hi, I'm wondering what's the best way to buy $1000-$2000 btc per week?  Currently I'm using localbitcoins.com and was wondering if there's a way I can buy direct without going through another person (and without paying more fees to coinbase, etc).  I live in Toronto area, Canada.

Since you have been succeding buying from the sources you listed and have always received your coins, I advise you still stick to them. Trying to buy direct in order to boycott the little transaction charges may expose you to getting scammed. The Internet is a terrible place to trust people.

I think you mean central platforms; there are a lot of platforms that support your country.
If you are ready to submit the required documents, you can purchase from Coinbase[1] "trusted better than fees." full list
I do not know why you do not like this platform but the payment methods will determine the fees you need.
If you do not want to pay by a reversible "PayPal" method, you can try Currency exchange[3].

If you were not scammed on localbitcoins then I would advise you to stick to it. It usually doesn't have high fees (at least in my area) and reliability should come first when choosing money transfers.

OP, the secret in trading in LocalBitcoins is to build trust and relationships since you are a regular buyer. Once built, I believe negotiating for a better deal should be easy.

There is no way you can buy from any platform without having to pay some certain fees. Those platforms are rendering services, and they are obviously going to have to make some bucks as far as I am concerned. Also, it depends on where you are exactly, but for the likes of exchange like Luno which is available in most Europe and African nation, I would say not being charged for buying bitcoin can be possible but even at that, if you are doing it directly you will be charged the taker's fee which is around 1% but if you go through the trading channel by placing an order, you are charged no fee, but there is always a fee for withdrawal as you cannot hide from that.

Since you have been succeding buying from the sources you listed and have always received your coins, I advise you still stick to them. Trying to buy direct in order to boycott the little transaction charges may expose you to getting scammed. The Internet is a terrible place to trust people.
He can indicate trying to buy on the forum without having to pay any fee actually but that would warrant making use of an escrow which I am sure no escrow will actually do anything for free unless he is just lucky to want to see some trusted members ready to do transactions. As it is, the best thing he can just do is to stick to what he has been doing already as there is actually nothing bad about having to pay just very little fees to be able to purchase bitcoin. There are some exchanges though like Luno, that you can end up trying to boycott paying of fees when it comes to buying bitcoin, but it is not available to most countries.

you are already in the Crypto place that is right and legit, my advice is not to move sites because there are many scam sites out there, or if you want to buy directly you better see a review before buying,

Be careful before choosing a place to trade BTC because of the huge risk and you should search for large known sites that will be better. I personally advise you to choose Bitfinex or Coinbase as it is safer than all and will not cost you too much for a transaction.

You are already in good hands using localbitcoin for trading, theres no reason for you to find more reliable as scammers and hackers are all around this community

Dont be bother by spending smaller fees when the chance of being scammed will be on your way,in my area we have local wallets that we can directly buy bitcoin from fiats with semi low fees that we don't need to find another platform to buy
