What is the $ equivalent of your average ICO investment?  ???

As majority of icos nowadays are eth based so i myself invest only 1 eth in each ico on average and that too after carefully analyzing each aspect of the project but still i sometimes seem to be trapped in bad projects, i know people who invest big amounts like 50 eth in each ico but that is too risky for me.

I usually invest 1 eth, depending on the quality, duration and bonus offered. if the bonus offered is quite large and the ICO time is short maybe I will increase my investment.

My equivalent is always around 300-1000 dollars, this is the amount that I can afford to lose in one project. And the exact amount depends on many factors.
I advise you to personally disassemble each project where you want to invest your money, this method will help you increase the chance to make a profit!

I normally stay away from ICO investment and the reason being almost 90% of them are scam. They will take our hard earned money and will never deliver. many have burnt their hands with ICO and now people are hesitant. It comes with high risk so if you are planning to invest, invest only what you can afford to lose for chances are very high that it might just never come back.

When ICO started earlier, it was easy for these scammy company to come out with fake promises and gather funds but now its isn't that simple especially with people who have been around for sometime.

As if I personally do not have a certain threshold for investing, the fact is that everything depends on the project, that is, if the project is really worth it, you can invest large amounts of it, but before any investment you need to study the project in detail all its aspects and documentation

in different ways,and whenever possible money,which project about 5 thousand dollars invested in some less,some a little more, but the market dropped significantly so that the initial amounts makes no sense to talk,or shoot and will be fine for money,or up to 60-90% will go down,and there are projects that are on dollrov 300 and 500 invested,all in different ways

In total, I have invested $1 till now. If I consider the overall situation, I am in profit but to be honest, I have lost huge too. For your info, nowadays most of the ICOs are scam, so invest wisely. Don't put your money on some shit. Research properly and only then go for the next step.

From 2018 i don't investing in new iCO. Because more 90% of it falling deeeply deep after listing on exchange. What the use of investing if you can buy it cheaper on exchange...

Presently most of the investors are buying directly from the exchange as price of the token going down drastically below ICO price when launch on the exchange around 80% to 90%. But investment in ICOs are still beneficial as this token when launch on the exchange their price generally goes higher in that time if exit than you can easily make 2.5x to 3x profits one of my friend took advantage of this with Money Token ICO.

Recently im not actively investing into any ico as i have been stuck due to bears in the market and have not liquidated any ico or other investment in recent months, i think we should not invest more than $100 in each ico as they can be risky.

I have invested in ICOs in the past and now their value has plummeted. The next one i invest in must be a surefire winner. Goldma is actually very good because you get royalties from their profits paid to you in Ethereum, just for hodling Goldma tokens (Waves)

Spent 1 BTC back in March... Didn't go so well though

I bought some ICO early this year, but sold it for little profit. but I'm prety satisfied about that

I am not really like to invest much money in ICOs because they were not much profitable now a days so better buy them at the exchanges after the token listed because initially there will be some price dump for most of the tokens and also we can avoid the risk of losing our investment completely.If some project is more convincing for me then I any invest $1000 to $2000.

I have invested in ICO only once and that's my average of 500 dollars, unfortunately bad investment as it cost only 30 dollar, if I sell everything and a lot of time wasted! I am not planning to invest in ICO at current market conditions, I'd rather trade and hodl. I still believe in the project I have invested in, just disappointing could have bought a fortune right now and holding to ICO price would bring me more then *10 ICO price, some people had invested at a later stage with a higher price, that's reality

Usually I invest in ICO projects that do not directly act, to avoid losses in ICO projects. I check aspects of the ICO project first.
If I feel that the ICO project is promising and the bonus offered is good, I invest in Ethereum as much as 0.5-1 ETH.

Probably around .5-1 ETH (as per current price) or $200. Yes its not a big amount as I don't want to take more risk specially in the current market situations.

I would say I'm still break-even, lucky me, Lol. At least I was able to get back my investment and cash it out early otherwise I will be trap specially around June when ETH really started its downward path.

well it depends on my accountbalance and on what i nedd to do next in my life and in my busimess so i think that the sum differs

investimg is a very responsible matter and i do not think thag there can be some perfect amoung of money thaf will suit everywhere

I think here on the forum few of the major investors will respond to you. The rest are mostly bounty hunters and do not invest in cryptocurrency and earn it.
If among them there are investors, then they are quite small. And they have investments from about $ 500 to $ 3000.

During last year when market was going well, I never invested more than $100 on any ico. There was an exception of one ICO which I invested up to $200 because I saw that it was very promising. The name is Universa. Seems the price is now below ICO price and I'm at loss.

I invested 1-10 ETH in different ICOs in 2017-2018 but last few months I skip ICOs because of bad ROIs. The size of the investment depended on my confidence in the project.

To tell the truth the biggest investing was 200$) I prefer take part in bounties and get coins without investing. It depends on person.

I'm investing only on those ICOs that I find are worth of believing in. For that I look for an established names after them.
And when it comes to the investing, I don't have a proper rule to define my amount of investment. Mostly, its how much I afford to invest at the time of sale. I have only invested in about 8 ICOs in 2018 and more than half of them are in profit.

I do not invest in ICO. Too many fraudulent schemes. That made me lose faith about this field

I have spent a lot of Ethereum buying tokens from ICO's but I consider selling them back to get a better number of ETH again then converted to BTC once again.

That is quite the number. You must be good at judging ICO by now.

I don't invest beyond five Etherem. My decision to even invest up to five Ethereum will  depends on many factors which includes the bonus structure, the seriousness and credibility of the team and the use case of the project itself.

Well i am actually broke right now and that was the reason i jumped in here hoping to earn big money but the market haven't done any favor to me. the investment amount will depend on how good dish from the ICO project. the quality of the team and will give you an idea of whether it's worth it to invest more. easier stated this in the ethereum, and perhaps 1-2 simply depends on the quality of the project itself.

I am always investing not more than 50 percents of my savings and I am also trying to diversificate them. 25 percent in crypto and other in the stock market. The more branches you invest in, the less is the possibility to lose a lot.

I see no point in huge investments. People, who bough BTC in 2009 were unlikely to spend huge amount of money, but they made good profits.

It depends on the my expectations from the project. In some projects I invested more than 10 ETH but in the most cases it was less than 1 ETH. The most profitable practice for me was to buy coins at Etherdelta and to sell it just after the listing at big exchanges, so I did not invest big amounts in ICOs.

for me for now 1 ETH is enough to invest in an ICO, because the answer will be different for each person.
the most important thing is that you have to trust the project after you have done the research.

I invest in ICO only with $1000 and with the profit that I get from investing in ICO then I use it to invest in other ICO so that I can get a bigger profit with use more capital, that is from my initial capital ($1000) and the profit I earned from invest in previous ICO.

I am always investing only the minimal amount, because it helps to divesificate my funds and reduces the opportunity of getting scammed. Just divide your deposit and invest in 30 projects, it is much safer than taking part in only one or two.

Depends on the minimum as well. I do not invest in anything that requires at least 100 dollars to invest even though I invest at least 100 dollars to it. If you are making your ICO open to people who can spend 100 dollars into an ICO and close to others than I am not interested in it. 100 dollars is a perfect amount to invest into something risky like ICO, you are basically saying if it goes away than yeah I will be sad but my life won't change but if it goes x100 from the investment than its 10 thousand dollars made from one investment. That way I am not risking anything big and can invest into 10+ different ICO hoping just even one of them getting big would change my life.

It all depends on what ICO you intend to invest in. If the project I consider successful, I can invest in it $ 1000, if not, and this project is average, then invest in such a project can be no more than $ 500. That was the Golden rule for me. Now it is not worth investing in ICO.

That's right, a lot of emerging ICO's nowadays we don't know how to pick a good one to invest your fund. Just research further before investing ICO, know them especially their team and how legit they are. Remember that investing into this ICO is higher risk, you just like gamble your money and invest only that you can afford. Not all ICO's are not worth to invest, still, there is a good one to pick.

Investing time is technically investing right? I don't really invest actual money in ICO, I'm more on bounty hunting. I know bounty hunting is free but the effort we put in to roar the name of a certain project is I think investing for me. Time is money right?

I do not invest in ico projects. Investing in ico is a huge risk. I get the token-ico, with a bounty of companies. Ethereum is better suited for investment.

it sounds funny when you promote their ico project but you are not interested in investing there I know people like you who are only satisfied with the free tokens
My advice might be that you should try to invest in a project that you support if you think it will be successful

Indeed the bounty gave satisfactory results, but ICO investment could be more than that. the field of crypto is quite spacious and all deserve to be followed to get results. investments in ICO's around $500-$1000 of earning the bounty will be enough to deliver bigger results.

this depends on how you learn ico which is really promising and profitable in investment, because this requires research and analysis. so you can invest your money according to your wishes. but for now investment in ico is not recommended because the risk is too big especially you have to get ico who really has promising ideas and opportunities.
