I see now in October, only two months left towards the end of 2018, I don't see Altcoin soaring. ::)

Like last year in 2017, towards the end of the year, prices soared. :o

But this year I saw everything just shut up.

The crypto market of this year is not in any way similar to that of last year. Even though there will be a surge in the market, do not expect much, because it might not be as much as we had last year.
Also, as crypto enthusiast, either you are an investor or a trader, one of the things you should ensure is that you are making q steady profit from every of your investments.
The direction towards which the market is going should not get you worried, just be sure you are making progress.

The interesting thing here is that Altcoins even the entire market has lost most if not all the 5 months rally we have last year and early this year, it is a very painful thing because now Ethereum is below the last year price, if some said in February that Ethereum is going back to $200, we would have said he/she is mad

I am sure of Altcoin market will increase in someway in 2 months. It has to be rise. We need only few good news.

As we know the market is currently unstable and honestly the situation in 2018 is more down than last year, many altcoins fell below last year's lowest prices
For me, everything will recover but take time and bitcoin must be stable, not dominant, because the majority of traders connect all altcoins with bitcoin

In fact, there is almost a one-to-one similarity between last year and this year. Again many altcoin bottoms have been done. with a small movement like last year will surely rise. With the Fomo effect, we can also see the higher figures.

I still believe in altcoin and I have the patience in this bear market. Although, I don’t know when will the market turn to bull, I do believe altcoin prices will rise again.

This behavior in Altcoin prices is to be expected since there has not been any substantial news to make the prices go up, particularly with much reference to BTC.

Everything is fine!   If you bought in 2years ago, you would still be heavily into profit. Things don't just keep mooning, sometimes the prices need to come back to earth so that the future can have another moon launch.

As of the middle of October, there are no signs that the market is reviving. The crypto market is so interesting that the market can experience a sharp reverse for the price to start rising again.

You can't compare last year to this year, different things have happened during this and last year.

The true revolution will begin when cryptocurrencies will be used like currency like they are designed, and not as asset and store of value like most people now use it.

Bitcoin is not fine so altcoins were also not doing good this year and some altcoins were reached very low prices almost 80% and above pirces fell so it is important to keep our coins in the hold to help the prices to recover and in the upcoming year maybe we can see some positivity for the new coins and already existing altcoins

The events that are currently happening are very long after entering 2018, for me personally it does not become a lot of concern because it still believes that the market will recover again applies to Bitcoin and Altcoin, this is a test after the extraordinary increase last year you mentioned, choosing who is still the best and feasible for everyone, it's good to choose smart projects in the future, lucky those who buy more altcoins in the current situation with relatively cheap value, after returning the bull market I think it will be better than years then, patiently the market principle is like this.

Well said. This is what many investors fail to understand. This market is not some kind of get rich quick scheme where you can simply invest and get rich overnight. Everyone including me understand the risks involved with this market.

People who choose to ignore the risks usually end up leaving this market when they don't end up earning any sort of profits which goes to show how stupid they are. Invest only what you are willing to lose.

Research is crucial while investing into any particular cryptocurrency in this volatile market. I always advise investing during the bull market period and avoid any sort of investment during a bear market.

Its totally different now, maybe because of so many scams ICO's and investors are not coming in to buy coins.
Altcoins now are pumping and dumping, but I know it will rise again but I'm not sure when it will happen.

The market is somehow kinda stable now, though it also means that the market isn't progressing. But still, as the business stands on belief and patience, the traders should wait for the right moments.

It is normal for a volatile market like the crypto market to not follow the same pattern of last year. The market has gone down and it will rise again. Who knows, it might come back in the next two months. Hopefully the market will recover soon.

As it could be seen form this comparison ETH has lost its position when other altcoins are developing and EOS has reached a very promising case today.

This is a very broad comparison lol, as there are 1000+ altcoins. However, this is also an easy comparison, because the prices of most of them are 1/5 or even 1/10 of their last year's price. So the situation is baad :D

I think that this year there will be no such growth as last year. I hope that we will see growth, but not so rapid.

We have no difficulty knowing that each year is different from the other and unfortunately this year's trend was one of stability and decline. In relation to wanting something bigger in my opinion we have to thank for the market not being with more negative tendencies or compared with 3 years ago.

The last year performance shouldn't be a basis on how crypto will perform this year. It is very obvious that the same thing won't happen again as the market continues to go down. At first I thought it was just the dumping phase of those who have given up on their coin but I am mistaken. The price continues to go down until the big investors  decided to go on a different investment. Maybe we won't see the bull run this year.

If you compare with last year I am not much happy like last year it is nearly 50% low. I believe the bear market is slowly down and there is few changes from the past 2days, let's wait and see how it goes.

Don't compare last year with 2018. It is another story and pump probably won't happen. 2017 was a year of wild West, year of ICOs when everyone invest money and received x5 within a month

I have a feeling crypto will bull run a bit before year ends due to people’s anticipation, then dips by february due to holiday season that people needs cash to buy presents and to pay off business terms. Then will do spike by april.

in my opinion it is still not the time, I saw last year Altcoin was in the same place, there were several altcoins whose pumps were actually in after January. but unfortunately it doesn't last long

if I am still patient with the current price. because all of this is also the level of the altcoin journey to reach further, so we better wait first, and be patient. don't panic and don't be sad. the trip is still long

Comparison is early to be done because bull run has not been just finished, it is even has not started so it is very early to say something about this point.

The market is not the same as it was last year. No reason to be worried though the situation will change soon. Be patient with your investment as still have more than two months in this year. 

I feel sad  :(, because I hope the market price will rise, but the reality is not in line with the expectations I have ever imagined :-[.

It is obviously not going to be similar because this has been a bear market and the fact that the market is actually not in a position for huge gains, a lot of people have seen it as a problem. Every market will always have a trend and by the way, this year has not ended yet and we can still have some pretty good growth eventually as the case may be.

Nonetheless, even in between the downtrend, sometimes in the middle of the year, the altcoins still made some pretty good move which those who were able to tap from it would have actually enjoyed doing so, and at the end, it all depends on your knowledge and how you are able to handle yourself in every situation.

We have been waiting in the bear market for too long. I thought that with the popularity of crypto, the transition between the bull market and the bear market may be faster and faster, but it doesn't look like this. The ups and downs of the crypto market are very hard to predict.

Yes, the situation is not the best on the cryptocurrency market. Prices either stand still or fall at all. This is very sad. Probably there will never be such growth as last year.

Last year was the best year for altcoins if you ask me. I really hope it will happen again this year and hopefully we will see some good result by December.

The current price is much lower than that of last year. At the same time, I can not see that this year's price will reach the same period last year. Because the market is now unstable. It's hard to say that prices will recover in the coming months. I predict that 1-2 years or more will restore the level of last year.

Well, in this current situation of market i just hope for a little bit increase of value in bitcoin up to the month of december which i conclude that the value of todays year will never happened again to surpass the current highest value of December. Due to the fact that bull market is still uprising at any moment.

I have no choice but to stick my long time attitude, I believed crypto so much and this current situation cannot break the disposition I had regarding crypto, patience is just an ordinary endeavor in my crypto life, I have so many stock in my portfolio waiting for each big wave, I discourage myself in predicting because sometimes it ruins my faith, that is why I sealed my mind in the word PATIENCE.

If you are talking bullshit about the word of patience and why so many newcomers have lost a lot of their money caused by they have become the patient person. That will not work in the bearish situation. The patient is a key, and that's indeed but remember to survive in the speculation market is not enough just become a patience person.

Last year, millions of newbies,  who understood nothing about cryptocurrency, trading and investing, entered the crypto market. They had heard plenty of stories about fast enrichment on cryptocurrencies and wanted to make money this way. Most of them suffered huge losses after the fall of the crypto market. This year is a completely different situation. Newbies do not enter the market. Big players are waiting for permission from the authorities to trade in cryptocurrencies. As soon as such permission is received, we will see even more powerful growth than last year.

It is not saddening unless you want to make it a saddening thing for you. It is the market, and there will always be a cycle, altcoins have reduced hugely to their historical prices and it is a good time to start buying them now. In this case, you have nothing to lose and you can easily hold for as long as you can. Who does not want second chance? It is just a pity that even though this market is giving a second chance, some people will still end up blowing it away and not taking advantage of it, and in that case, that is when it would be saddening.

I think we do not have another exit, we can only hodl, I don't think prices will be lower than it is now.

I am on the same line as you. If you do not have put stop losses while trading the best option is now to hold the alt coins and wait for a bullish market.

Indeed, if I look at this year with last year, it is very different, everything falls apart because crypto prices are very low, and everything feels very different from October to December 2017 with October-December 2018, since 2017, making a lot of money from Crypto, even those can suddenly become rich.

Regarding the Alt coin prices between 2017 and 2018 is incomparable since there's a lot factors that influence the pricing of all alt coins in the market today 2018. Compare to the previous year of 2017 its a huge difference and too many issues that need to settle and because of this the people( potential Investors/old investors) are cautious to pour there money in this unstable market condition. that's why the market show us this movement and the affected most are those newly created Alt coins!

This year and this time last year was completely different. By now, too many people are buying coin at peak prices last year, and it is hard to overtake that price once again when the selling force is too strong there. While most crypto currencies have reached their ATH levels last year.

It is still early to talk about the level of effectiveness or value created between these two phases. Because we are in critical stage and there are still many quality projects. But I have to admit that, a lot of altcoin this year is fake, scam. Shicoin in 80% :)

It is very obvious that the market price last year was way better than what we have this year. I believe that the bull run will not happen again this year since a lot of people are dumping their coin. It results to the market crashing down until it losses its ability to recover. What I hate is that it felt like someone or an organization was trying to pull the price down because it always drops when it recovers.

There is  a big difference mate! because last year some of altcoin in the market keep growing together because market always recover back after the downtrend which is even there's are some negative feedback and etc that keep destroying crypto currencies.  unlike nowadays more on down trend and market is very stagnant , which is even there's no banning issues and etc market still suffering because more people keep gaining quick profits instead holding due to this long bear market season.

It is not just few altcoins that emerged victorious last year that are down today, but the entire cryptocurrency industry including bitcoin. Now, if the altcoins' functions are very significant with upgrades and updates, for sure its value will increase again in the next bull run. If the coins are not that significant, expect it not to recover.

Altcoins are very deep right now. Nobody knows if the market is going to be green this year or not. No one can guarantee this, but we know for sure, that the bull run will come. So hodl your coins and stay calm. Believe in crypto and wait for the better times to come.

The market is so unpredictable that this situation will not happen this fall. We need large investments to grow the market. And so we can only believe in his success.

I still wonder why a lot of people get sad for a bear market and I am sure a time would come in the long run, when they would know that rather than getting scared for no reason and sad for some reasons best known to them, they should have at least been able to not let this great opportunity just pass by without utilizing it effectively. For one thing I have known, markets are always bound to recover and there is an opportunity now to be buying the dips of most market, why get sad, when you can just focus on the opportunity the market is giving you to get the best of your investment in the long run.

if you always compare growth in the past and present years I think you will be trapped in confusion and doubt, we all know the current situation is so difficult to speculate, but this is where our experience and knowledge are debated, short trading can be a good alternative.

We suffer losses every day seeing the red market. But last month the price has stabilized in the market. The fall of the air was seven times, but I believe that the price will increase.

Actually, there is no fast movement or good news that can get the price to soar but it is to early to tell since it is still more than 2 months but if ever the correction period continues I am ok with as long as Bitcoin will not touch the $5 k level and will finish the year with the price on the 7 k level.

the comparison may be in price and growth speed. if we look at last year the development of crypto is very rapid even new coins can be directly ranked top. whereas now it looks like crypto is experiencing a decline in altcoin prices all down and even cheaper than last year.

Just imagine that the projects will change the condition for investors and token holders', and each holder of tokens will be receive a percentage of profit every month. Imagine how rapidly capitalization of cryptocurrency will grow then. Tokens must be transformed into an analog of shares otherwise there will be no growth.

Now we can say with confidence which projects are reliable, and the weak ones simply did not survive this year. Because now it is easier for people to choose projects for investment, as they have something to compare with.

the price cannot be guessed, cryptocurrency price fluctuations cannot be compared to the previous year, if you know the market situation at the end of 2017. that does not mean that such an event will repeat at the end of this year

I don't need any price comparison because I'm sure that I will sell my alts x10 from the current price levels. I can HODL my altcoins till 2020 waiting the new huge bull run.

In my opinion we won't see growth in this year unfortunatelly( Maybe after one or two year market will recover. But it is not exactly.

2017 saw the pic of most cryptocurrency where a lot of altcoins attained all time high, we may likely have another bull run but obviously will not get to a new all time high, another soar of such is projected to occur again in 2020,but that is not the main issue, money is being made even in bear market but it requires more work

Two months to the end of the year and it is a long time in crypto, everything can happen and the opposite of that.
Still believe, there will be a bull run this year, but not a one like we had last year. Some good news could change the trend.

You don't see alts soaring because bitcoin isn't.

And you won't see alts soar because you hold most of the assets you've got are altcoins. Start looking at the brighter side that you can keep on buying more of coins today before looking to that day where alts are soaring but all the initiation depends on bitcoin.

Altcoins are now dependent with the bitcoin price. Maybe we should be helping bitcoin soar and we might be seeing our altcoin going the same way.

We should all be patient and don't dump our share so there will  be no domino effect, what happened last year was really surprising and everybody are hoping that there will be a repeat of that scenario it's still more than two months although it is still unclear we should trust the market and don't add to the confusion by selling your stakes.

If you compare all the years you'll find that are not the same so it's wrong to do this, we can never know what will happen and that was the case from the start, no one was expecting that bitcoin will get that popularity or achieve $9000, so let's be patient and gave crypto the time.

I think the electronic money market in 2017 is developing more vibrant this year. You see that all the altcoin are slipping. Price of altcoin all dropped. Investors are no longer excited about the coins. Many people have given up altcoin to invest in other areas.

Yes I still have patient with the current market. Price last year is very high but still good to invest.

Why are you begging merits? It is not the way of getting merits. You have to post some good quality posts in order to gain merit, not a post like this one asking about the condition of current markets.

The more you look the less you see with many people anticipate about Dec moon , well it all good but market situation are much more important too which makes this year different to last year, the year is currently in bearish mode but many fail to understand but always think December is the bull reason.
