one of the magnum wallet features is Airdrop friendly which means helping to catch up with the air and fork, by what way is this done?

We are constantly working to improve this feature as one of the major. At this moment one can claim BCH, ANON, ETC. In the near future we will add more coins which have a value to claim. There will be a snapshot of bitcoin and peercoin on the 22nd of November and all holders will get Bitcoin AIR on the 1st of December. Join us to get it!

Hardware wallet for communities!

Previous week Magnum supported for several cryptocurrencies on Ledger. Now one can easily manage Bitcoin, Tezos, Litecoin, DigiByte, Komodo, Aion coin, Chainzilla using Magnum Wallet. Magnum is a first wallet supported claiming rewards of Komodo on Ledger. Moreover, now AION and Chainzilla communities have a vital opportunity which was unavailable before to manage their coins on Ledger via Magnum Wallet. Congratulations!

If this project really gets to the point of making atomic swaps and claiming most bitcoin forks.... its really going to be cool. Using shady wallets and shady exchanges to claim forks is dangerous and hard work.

I will keep an eye on this.

very interesting this project looks real, and I'm sure there will be many people who are interested in this project.
hopefully it will be the best storage solution in the future.

yes, exactly. You will able to have full control over the private keys and trade with other participants. We observe several ways to implement DEX and haven't made a decision yet.

Do you have a license right now? did not see it on your website about a license, so I am asking this question in here.
as far as I know, when you are going to open up DEX. You need to have a license or at least fully implement KYC for your costumer.
if you do not do one of it SEC will give you a penalty as they did to ETHERDELTA before,

We are managing the process of licensing now to implement DEX. We strictly follow the rules.

If everything goes out as planned in the roadmap, we would be able to see a good multi- currency atomic swap supported wallet. I do have some queries regarding the functioning of this wallet...

[1] If this an open source wallet, why do you create repository in Q2 of 2019? And as this is an open source, what do you as a team gain from creating a wallet?

[2] If this wallet supports crypto-fiat exchange, then what would be the possible fiat
currencies you guys would be adding?

[3] Can this be used in offline as we are using other light wallets like Electrum and MEW?

Thanks for your feedback and questions.

1. It isn't an open-source right now (however everyone can check our code and the network requests online), thats why we will create a repository later. We do not want to make it open source from the start due to several reasons: 1/ It takes a lot of time to prepare source code to publish it, our dev team isn't big and it's very overloaded( you can check how much work has been already done in our Telegram group (https://t.me/magnumwallet)) 2/ Our team releases some exclusive options for communities which are easy to be 'stolen' if they are open source, therefore we need to attract more users at first to have competitive advantage.
As I mentioned previously, Magnum has extra options for users which help to get some funds for the development and the list of such options will be expanded later. Moreover, we trying to participate at grants supported by coin founders and to make exclusive development tusks for their communities.

2. Magnum doesn't support crypto-fiat exchange now, but we have to release this feature till the end of Q1 2019. The available fiat currencies strongly depend on the partner we will choose to perform such transactions. We will try to support as many fiat currencies as we can, but the focus is on USD.

3. Unfortunately, this feature isn't ready to be released and it isn't a top priority, however, it will be available in the next few months as well.

Hope I answer your questions clearly, otherwise, do not hesitate to reach us.

I created my wallet as soon I got my participation in the signature campaign confirmed.
Easy to use, interface design is nice.
It's a nice option for Bitcoin and other assets.

Is the feature to claim forks fully automatic? How many currencies does the wallet support and has it been tested significantly?

If you missed any airdrop, you can import your wallet where you had funds on the day of airdrop and claim it with our wallet.

We are glad to announce, that Magnum Wallet supports ZCoin (https://zcoin.io/).

Zcoin (XZC) is an open-source privacy-focused cryptocurrency token that launched in Sep 2016. To enable privacy, Zcoin uses zero-knowledge proofs via the Zerocoin protocol. Zerocoin is a cryptocurrency proposed by Johns Hopkins University professor Matthew D. Green and graduate students Ian Miers and Christina Garman as an extension to the Bitcoin protocol that would add cryptographic anonymity to Bitcoin transactions. With Zcoin’s Zerocoin feature, only the sender and receiver would be able to ascertain the exchange of funds in a given transaction, as no transaction histories are linked to the actual coins. Zcoin operates a multi-node model where mining nodes verify blockchain transactions and Znodes store blockchain data.

New users are welcome to our secure and easy to use wallet (https://app.magnumwallet.co/?coin=xzc)!

We are glad to announce, that Magnum Wallet supports Callisto Cold Staking (https://callisto.network/cold-staking/).

Callisto Network is a decentralized open source crypto platform based on the go-Ethereum source code with its own cryptocurrency $CLO. This is the first coin to introduce cold staking in its network. It gives long-term coin holders, or stakers, the ability to earn passive income (rewards) for holding their $CLO coins. Cold Staking is not related to PoS or any other consensus algorithm. More information on how Cold Staking works can be found in this article (https://medium.com/@corp_92607/cold-staking-in-callisto-network-how-to-claim-with-magnum-wallet-b0f8dfff547f).

But only as long as you held the private key to those wallets, it does of course not work for exchange wallets right?

For exchanges it doesn't work as usually exchanges claim forks on your funds by themselves
That is why we recommend storing all funds in a wallet rather than on an exchange

Actually surprised by the development of this project. Was turned off by the typo in the ANN subject, but with the growing list of supported cryptos. Can't see a mobile version on the site though. Is there a mobile app for it?

Thanks for the clarification. Was asking about a standalone app rather than a browser-based one. My browser has way too many tabs opened and things can really get lost in the daily research shuffle. Looking forward to the Android app. Really soon sounds just round the corner

Yeah, sure. As Magnum is non-custodial wallet there is no such thing as "account". There are only two ways to import your wallets: 1. Using your backup file and password; 2. Using wallets' private keys. In both cases, there won't be any problems to transfer your wallets to the Android mobile app.
