Good to see your country adopting bitcoin incredibly. Phillipine have always shared a positive view about crypto currency. It will have an impact on other Asian countries as well. I hopeo more countries would start adopting after this.

As how other Asian countries embraces crypto Philippines also have a good acceptance of crypto currencies, I went their and I heard they there was already an automated teller machine for Bitcoin somewhere in Makati City. I hope more countries should learn how to deal with cryptos instead of banning it, crypto especially bitcoin can help the community.

Its good to see Philippines using the crypto currency now and many more Asian countries need to come forward and adopt the same way as done by this country. On a longer term of view, crypto space would be used globally by having some regulations in place in the near future. But other countries also would do their own research before taking the crypto space in their daily usage.Lets hope for the best and wait eagerly.

Very well, the Philippines is approaching bitcoin slowly and very effectively. They do not impose mandatory regulations on electronic money that they create the most favorable conditions for people to develop bitcoin. This is the most effective way to change an economy and help people get access to new technology. I believe Bitcoin will be very developed in the Philippines in the future.

My country is nowhere near this. We still have a long way to go because there is nowhere to spend your bitcoin unless you first convert it to fiat currency. In fact, i am impressed with the level of improvement in bitcoin adoption by the Philippines.

now every country has begun to open its eyes to the importance of crypto currency to overcome the economic problems that are being faced, I think the philippine's move to accept the existence of bitcoin is good news because it will open up space for Filipino citizens to be able to access bitcoin freely , and of course this will affect the progress of the Philippines economy to be better.

People in there makes every crypto a good one in a sense that most of them using it now as a currency in buying, paying and investing in different things. Cryptos image in Philippines is good and I can say that it is very positive. Most of the people nowadays are into it when it comes earning profits.

Thats really nice if govt has allowed to trade/use cryptocurrency in Philippines, It will surely boost country's economy, BITCOIN availability will allow people to invest into it, in my country govt still has not legalized any transaction using bitcoin, although a large number of people in our country is trading bitcoin by one or another method but still still out of reach from the common people, I hope govt one day will realize the power of blockchain and will accept it.

It's good to hear that Philippines have accepted bitcoin and making good use of it. I hope all the countries will adopt this new technology very soon. All we can do is just hope for that day.

I also hope for it. In the Philippines it is easier to do transactions connected to bitcoin at the same time even the pawn shop or something stuffs like this also participated with it. The app is really amazing that is why people in the Philippines do not have a hard time using bitcoin especially doing transactions.

These innovation and movement were made possible by bitcoin enthusiasts since 2014. Exchanges such as coins.ph have opened a wider gate for the Filipinos to use their bitcoins in numerous places and services which, formerly can only be utilized by paying in fiat. Also, the willingness and openness of the Philippine government towards bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies also helped, albeit their constant reminder to the Filipinos that investing on digital assets is still the Wild West of investments. Though not a pretty sizeable country with a strong economy, the Philippines still see something good in bitcoin rather than just the negatives.

Agreed, Most Pilipino uses third party wallet that is regulated by the government because most of us think's it is easier because we can just convert our Bitcoin to PHP and vice-versa. The only problem here is that the government really have the access and also can limit our transaction using this third party wallet.

It is apparent by now that adopting cryptocurrency especially for countries that need a boost in their economy is beneficial. We know that cryptocurrency is in the early stages but that doesn't mean it lacks the potential in digital currency, if more countries are to adopt cryptocurrency for the economy it would mean great things. We are seeing first hand the results of adoption from Philipines and the benefits it held with that decision. With time we'll hopefully be able to see more.

The lower fees on the remittance is a huge improvement over services like MoneyGram and Western Union and the people are feeling the impact of that on every global transfer that are done. This might be one of the best ways to increase adoption in every country, but the supporting merchant network has to be strong, to support that.

First world countries tend to focus too much on Bitcoin ATM distribution in their own country and not in emerging 3rd world countries, where it is needed the most.  >:(

Here we have big blockcha9in conferences in Limassol and some ICOS launched here as well, but I don't yet see many local shops having crypto or Bitcoin signs up, but I think in Limassol mall they put up now a Bitcoin ATM. They are slow here to adopt Bitcoin because there was a scam here years ago promising a crypto bitcoin bank and debit card and they run off with people's money, but slowly confidence is coming back now and there are meetups once a week in Limassol as well, I hope to go to one day to meet up with our whales and blockchain experts there, would be fun, but it's far away from where I live and I don't drive, so would have to go and stay overnight by bus.

I never knew that this is really happening in our country mate, and i don't have enough idea about the bitcoin atm machine. Those past governments doesn't introduce bitcoin in our country and Filipinos already know the reason behind it.There were negative news about that cause people think that it is a scam or sone sort of a fraud. The concept of decentralization was one of it.

Yes I see that there's a growing number of Bitcoin users here in the Philippines however the question is how do they treat Bitcoin, how do they look at it. Are they looking at it a payment option? Or they are looking at it as an investment only. For the past 3 years, I haven't seen a merchant in the City where I live that accepts Bitcoin as a pay option. What I am looking at it is people in the Philippines look at Bitcoin as an earning opportunity to them. They earn from sponsoring someone to join or sign up in a exchange site and after claiming the reward, nothing follows.

And moreover, adopting to Bitcoin makes for me too easy because as I keep on engaging to it, I cam see more and lots of good opportunities ahead of the crypto currency community using Bitcoin crypto currency.

So people from the Philippines can not try to use bitcoin to purchase something, it is a good movement that the Philippines did, and I think it will give effect to the other Asian country. And soon, bitcoin might have mass adoption in Asia since the chance of using bitcoin is wide open in Asia country. But I am sure that in the other country outside from Asia, bitcoin will grow fast too so the mass adoption in all country will happen.

In fact, I was heard some news that government in the Philippines are having and attending some seminars regarding to bitcoin as I can see, they are trying to study and wanted to learn anything about it and there are the willingness to adapting this system and there will be the big possibility or chances that one of this days they will already legalizing it.

Definitely that btc atm machine in Makati City will multiply soon as there will be more demand for it's use. People in this country had find  it to be more convenient to use as a payment currency. currently, Btc is the currency of the future where most of the Filipino people will consider not just for payment transaction but also for investment purposes where it could yield good return of investment.

Now if a third world country like the Philippines can adopt and embrace something like Bitcoin, I don't see any reason why the more advanced and developed countries could not do the same. The reason for this is simply political. Adoption of an innovation like cryptocurrency shouldn't be a problem really because crypto in a sense offers a lot of benefits. But there are also a lot of reasons for adoption to be difficult...and one is political (Does greed make sense?).

Yes you're right because I myself is a Filipino and I am seeing the changes that is happening to my country in terms of adopting to bitcoin and not just bitcoin but to other cryptocurrencies available such as ethereum and etcetera. Before the doubts in this type of business or sort of thing is very high that they would never attempt to know that it really is and what it can do but now, even though there are still some doubts but many have erase those doubts that they started to be curious with it that is why when they have understand it, they started investing. I think it is only a matter of time that it will be a nationally recognized here. Me myself before is not that interested with but things changed when I have seen the effects of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to my classmates.

We can see that there are so many changes now in adopting bitcoun than before. I think not only in the Philippines has this kind of scenario if all about bitcoin. Before people are too scared and afraid to use and engage in bitcoin but now people are well informed and educated about bitcoin that makes them to adopt bitcoin easily and use it in different ways like online investment and mode of payments online. Bitcoin is really great.

Wow, first time to heard of this and i hope they will add more Bitcoin ATM that are scattered all over the archipelago. I hope that this trend will continue to make Filipinos more aware of the use of bitcoin in the economy.

That Bitcoin ATM is been there for a lot of years now but from the looks of it, I don't think it is not that usually used unlike other countries that you can see every day making a line to Bitcoin ATMs.

Yes, a lot of people know about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but not all of those people want to be part of it or to invest on it since they are scared of being scammed. And that is the misconception of the people to Bitcoin, they think that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are scam but they are not, these scammers are just making Bitcoin and other crpytocurrencies as an escape pod to take all the money of their investors.

In order to understand how the bitcoin works, the government should open their mind first and read the whole concept of bitcoin. The Philippine government have already opened their minds for cryptocurrencies and is fast becoming one of the crypto friendly countries in Asia by allowing some fintech companies to put their business in one of the economic zones. that is, public enthusiasm against crypto which is supported by the government of Pilina has a good influence on the country's economic development.

and the Philippine government believes that they can regulate, control crypto growth and avoid the risks.

Right now, the banking industry still not allowing their employees to engage in any cryptocurrency, well I know this will not last forever since Philippines is progressing in terms of adoption.

I think for now adopting bitcoin here in the Philippines is only in a minimal stage because we can use it in not so many ways. Because all we know that small business stablishment cannot upgrade or innovate their system to make bitcoin accepted as payment. Only the big and progressive company will accept bitcoin as a payment and investment like in paying load and other bills and money remittance. But I think it is a long process that Philippines will fully adopt bitcoin because it will happen when more business stablishment will innovate and the acceptance and regaluzation of government will be apply.

I think crypto is a chance to people from Philipines to get out of poverty. Though to start any business with crypto will also cost money and investments that many citizens can't afford in Philipines. Looks like in this case it will be more the opportunity for the rich people, and poor people will stay the same poor. Hope it will still make some positive impact on people that are on the streets.

Yes sir you have a point but bitcoin is for everyone. We can eliminate that through.
1) Helping them to get a job and the salary will be in the form of cryptocurrency.
2)Sharing of information and knowledge specially to the poor people.

It's a long way to go before we can get through it. But i think it will be beneficial to poor people that they have their own business, all they can do is to nurture it aside from that it will also promote bitcoin usage.

That is a great news to know that even a small country located on the South East Asia is already taking into adaptation with this new type of currency. Slowly but surely, people are now taking small steps on recognizing and knowing its worth to be used in many ways as possible just like what the bigger countries who uses Bitcoin and other existing cryptocurrency within the market. So far, so good that people are now realizing the efficiency cryptocurrency can provide to everyone and I can't wait to see how other countries who still not into using Bitcoin will soon get to engage with this and let them explore into this new type of currency that can provide exceeding cqpabilities than what we expected.

Bitcoin adaptation in Philippines was not good and popular as of today. It's good thing to know that some Filipinos are now in crypto currency and that's really a good sign that Philippines is having an open mind of what bitcoin really is all about and how it can change the financial scale and improve economic stability. I gave credits to the government that really pushed and accepted bitcoin and believing the ideology of it.

Large scale roll out of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will occur in these kinds of countries first, just look at south America-Venezuela. I believe these countries will benefit more
Venezuela is a dying country when they adapt bitcoin and accepted this open hands, but the Philippines is a different issue
Asian countries are now welcoming cryptocurrency specially bitcoin because of the technology behind this, and thats blockchain..
Looking how japan welcomes this currencies are more reliable reason than Venezuela and south america

The government already accept it. Small merchants in makati and bitcoin ATM was established also in makati. Government will regulate by forming anti money laundering team to monitor all transactions and allowing only companies that given a license to operate in the philippines. This ensures the are not just adopting it but to protect investors and users. Hopefully they will start giving a salary in the form of bitcoin so that bitcoin will spread to the whole country.

Philipines congratulations to you all. Your country is now fully cryptolized.  The Philippines will be more empowered through cryptocurrency and your country is fully into cryptocurrency to the extent of having retailers accepting crypto for settlement of transactions and even BTC ATM machine already operational in your city. This is awesome. My own country is not even talking about blockchain which the people in government knows next to nothing about crypto. Time will tell.

That is what setting up a future looks like, there is really no instant growth behind and the Philippines is looking for the opportunities the cryptocurrency industry have. If you look at them you will see that Cagayan Economic Zone Authority already taken up a 100 million $ investment which will be allocated for two years, even without any instant cashflow going to our country this is a step closer for economical growth. Aside from it other ICO projects also see the Philippines as a new market for hungry investors so we might see another market growing in our country.

I live in the Philippines and I don't think it is helping that much.

I think it's been years since the cryptocurrency, Bitcoin was legalized in our country and still now small population in our country only uses it. I am not saying that they are literally using it but earning and investing it. We have a popular exchange called coins and the users thought they are using Bitcoin to pay their bills even though they are not really doing that. The exchange or coins is responsible for converting their Bitcoin in their wallets into fiat and that fiat is being paid in their wanted places or platforms like Steam or other financial bills.

Yes,many people in the Philippines now are adopting bitcoin and using it in many transactions. But also there are several reports already that people are using bitcoin to scam big amount of money.
i don't say that people in the Philippines are scammers, but most of them have an intention to do it to a new ones who haven't encountered crypto, so there's a lot of reports about being scammed and they also think that it can easily earn in bitcoin just like doing a job which is different because of having a less of time and effort just to earn though.

The adoption of bitcoin around the world is progressing and many big companies are also to hse the cryptocurrency despite its price depreciation. The Philippines are among the countries that are considered cryptocurrency-friendly becahse the government itself welcomes blockchain and fintech companies to establish their businesses in this southeast asian nation. The Philippines can now establish itself as one of fintech hubs in asia in the future.

Wow this is very nice to see how even the Philippines have succeeded in using bitcoin as a digital currency to pay for goods. I was just curios though as to how people in the Philipines have adopted the use of bitcoin. Is the use of bitcoin now for selected products and stores only or almost on any store and products?

The Philippines has a crypto friendly leader who although a bit controversial appears to be doing some good things for the country. Reducing crime with a no nonsense policy, and not pushing bitcoin forwards. Good times for the Filipino people

at first i thought that asian country are more stricker than others  because i heard a lot of news on the past that china , korea , india , etc were all restricting the use of cryptocurrency  . in the case of philippines im already aware about thier terror president but its nice to see that he gladly accept bitcoin  .   anyway ,   this is a good jump start about the adoption  for cryptocurrecies  and lets hope that this country can push their support  , so that many people can now have a confident to invest  .
