These type of post have been coming out for months and months, I think that if the SEC was really serious about it than they would have already approved something instead of just postponing over and over again.

I really dont think crypto needs an ETF yet, there is Bakkt, and numerous custody solutions to where if big institutions wanted in they could get in.

Remember we hit 800billion market cap just off retail speculation alone, we could easily get to a couple trillion with more retail speculator and just a handful of institutions in.

It will come and so sure... it is imminent.  However, it doesn't have to come in 2018 to be "imminent".  ETF will just be one more step in the direction of legitimacy and adoption of cryptocurrencies.  It will be like when RVN recently went onto Binance.  I would argue that ETF will not make the price surge dramatically or create some sort of bull market.  Maybe a modest price increase of 10-20% in my opinion and not financial advice.

To be honest bitcoin etf approval does not seem to be a simple thing because of the clash between traditional financial system and crypto, etf approval will mean that btc has been accepted as legal financial asset, no doubt it will be huge news for btc and crypro community but i think it will take time, maybe in 2019 or beyond.

Most people hope that the launch of the ETF will change the situation on the market. But let's remember bitcoin futures. Prices rose, but what happened next? In addition, EFT contradicts cryptocurrency principles.

Those sources have been announcing the imminent ETF approval for some months. If they keep insisting for some more months, in some moment they will end up being right.

As a recent article from cryptoslate by Anthony Xie suggests, there is momentum for the SEC to approve a physically backed ETF.  This will offer other major cryptos a goal to strive for in the future  as long as they can hold up to the approval process.  Hopefully this will  encourage cash flow and demand to the cyrypto markets all around.

After the transfers of the permanent, there is no hope for it as such. It will be good if my expectations do not come true, and everything will go up. But so far the only way.

It would be a good news for BTC and crypto overall, but I think it is too early as the market is not 
regulated and prepared for ETF approval. I think the decision will be postponed again.

ETF approval will be a great news to the CRYPTO world because it shows it's now legally accepted by financial system and this will make all strong projects have much ground than expected but It maybe later next year.

We can all wish and speculate for but I doubt it will be this year or early next year.. As more and more prominent people learning and embracing cryptpcurrency SEC will be really adamant approving something big.

I dont have too many informations about ETF's last situation but i believe ETF will approved in 2019.  There are too many positive news about bitcoin and also i believe they will accept that finally.
Because i think there are too many investment companies want to invest in btc and they need to that ETF. So in 2019 i think it will be happen. i hope.

Or it will be rejected again consider SEC has been processing a lot of the scam icos right now, they can use it as a reason to postpone or reject the ETF application because crypto is not yet mature.

It's been a months since these ETF news are running around. But I'm hoping that it will really going to be approve before the year end. I still don't know what will going to happen once it get approved but it really means that they will going to accept our bitcoin as a legal or official asset  :D.

Welk, this is how i see it: the Sec doesn't want to order for a ban andnthey don't akso want to approve for reasons best kniwn to them and so they'd keep on postponing for a long time. Only Gid knows when they'll be done.

Bitcoin etf approval doesn't seem to be a simple thing because of the clash between traditional financial system and crypto. Most people hope that the launch of the ETF will change the situation on the market. But let's remember Bitcoin's future.

I don't think the SEC will easily let the ETF pass the review. Why? Because ETF is not a pure business, its adoption will mean whether the cryptocurrency is recognized by the state, which is very important!

There were some news that said ETF would be approved within the end of October. But things are not looking like it. ETF would be approved eventually but there is no certain date as for now.

This question depends on how you understand it. In fact, I don't think ETF really has the ability to influence the future of cryptocurrency. This is a trend that no government will give up.

I'm removing the hope that it will be approved. It's result is just getting delayed when the due date is near and let's just wait until by Feb 2019 if there will be positive news by that time. But for now, high approval or not we shouldn't be depending with its decision because the market can run on its own even without it.

As for the adoption of the ETF. Of course, it will be approved, but only when the big players want it. I think this news had been heard ago.but many times  it had postponed. If it will be approved ,that would be good. because it is integrated with crypto currency system.

ETF approval may be next year around February 2019. This is according to SEC procedure for a new product to be accepted that the time lag must be about 250 days during which all the investigations and interviews, paper works  and all the KYC may have been concluded. It is eminent that there will be Bitcoin ETF by next year first quarter  of 2019. We are still upbeat that BTC-ETF will surely move the crypto currency market price which will in turn impact on the altcoins as well.

I believe that ETF will be approved for sure, but i am doubting if that is going to happen this year, I more optimistic about the ETF getting approved next year, this year is almost gone and there are still some consultation to be done before it can get approved and i think all that can't be done within this year that's why i am more of thinking next year, though i am not overruling out this year. anything can happen.

You have to ask yourself what changed since the last time that they rejected it. I have not seen any changes and see no reason that the SEC will have changed its attitude. You almost have to laugh at the irony of Bitcoin, the crypto currency that would liberate us all from the whims of faceless bureaucrats no having its fate controlled by the whim of those same faceless bureaucrats.

I think that there is too much manipulation around ETF question. "Whales" use it as occasiont for dumps and dumps, and I believe it will last until 2019. Next year, this question will finally have to be solved and the market may return to normal.

I think it has already passed and there was nothing announced about the ETFs. Now the Bitcoin price is stable and I hope we have no other reasons to go down and very soon we will start to go up! Keep believing in the bullish market guys!

Instant approval would certainly be better as the US has clearly fallen behind on the topic of blockchain. This is not really about protecting investors I think but more of a political thing as the USD is still the lead currency for the time being and digital many clearly threatens the status quo. It will come no doubt about it but there is some mighty parties of interest who do not want to happen things too quickly. It is as simply as that. The SEC guys are not stupid. They know that digital money is the future and the potential for other blockchain use cases is totally obvious.

It is more than obvious that ETFs will be approved, but it is only matter of time. I think that ETFs were delayed because Bakkt want to be the first on the market.

If the SEC is serious about ETFs, they will find ways to speed things up, but it seems like things are getting harder and harder for the SEC to accept. I think we need to wait for the market to enter the uptrend phase, SEC will look better and be acceptable if the market is in the best stage.

There have been news surrounding this for a while now about this happening but it is still nothing confirmed as of yet. But when it does happen we can expent a bump in value for the market hopefully even if it isn't a huge bump there would be a moderate one. We'll know in due time what'll happen regarding this.

If I am correct, today will be a decision made for the ETF, it will be approved or will be rejected, delayed again. I think the possibility of ETF will continue to be denied by SEC and maybe 2019 it will be accepted

It might be approved after it will be postpoened a couple more times)) I mean, the more agiotage around this thing, the more it is going to affect the market.

I think this is just rumors. The SEC has decided not to enter the Crypto market in July. That will not happen again. We should not expect too much ETF funds. Look forward to the future and make great plans to make money.

if that is indeed going to happen, I am very happy to hear it because only ETF are needed now. if eft has been approval, I am sure the crypto market will have the power to recover

This types of news and rumour keeps coming always. But if you are curious about the coin, then you just have to keep an eye on it to see if its really approved, but not to keep your hopes up, if the news is true, you'll see. Otherwise, not to worry.

I hope the ETF will be approval by the SEC in the near future. If that happens, I believe the market will recover faster, the market cap can reach 1000 billion in a short time when the amount of capital from the stock will move to crypto. Although the SEC has a lot of difficulties in this regard, it is clear that Crypto has been a general trend for development and the SEC needs to look to the future. Hope so   :P
 

I have read this article. To be honest, I do not trust to the "anonymous sources" mentioned by its author.

As far as I know, in September 2018 the SEC published the reasons why they rejected the application for the VanEck SolidX ETF. There are still no significant changes in the crypto currency world, so I do not expect the SEC to approve Bitcoin ETF in the near future. Maybe circumstances will be better in the third quarter of 2019.

it is still something that cannot be predicted accurately, I have not seen ETFs to be approved, but many people see that they have agreed from various sources. this can be used as a confusing option. the best way we can see and supervise ETF news stories every day.

Bitcoin does require positive sentiment to raise prices. Technical analysts sometimes miss a lot of the expected predictions, and we really need strong fundamentals so that people believe in Bitcoin to make a positive trend and automatically the price of Bitcoin will rise.

If we look at the current price, I think everyone is waiting for the ETF's decision, if the acceptance occurs in 2018 then I think Bullrun will happen even though it's not like the end of 2017. But if the ETF decision is postponed until 2019, there will be a price decline until the end of the year.

I have read the news that the ETF's decision has been postponed again until 5th November , but I'm glad this news has no effect on the price of bitcoin, maybe traders are allready bored with this kind of resignation.

I thought how many months have they announcing for some imminent approval for ETF, tons of articles are insisting that kind of vibe to its readers they just raising hopes to people without a strong source of evidence that it will approve just don't raise your expectation to this one Op most especially if they keep on delaying and rejecting requests over and over again, they should have done that from the beginning.

There is high possibility that Bitcoin ETFs will be approved next year. Because why not?
The last time, when SEC delayed approval of ETFs, SEC commissioner Hester Pierce said that her colleagues in this matter had exceeded their powers and threatened to protect investors. And that is very important to see, that we have one person on our side!

To be honest, this is a serious issue that any goverment can just look down. And any approval of such degree requires rigorous background checking and shaping the policy around it. So, let's just be patient for it will come.

Yes, I agree with you. It is slowly process and we don`t know when we get results. Just wait and support crypto by investments.
