What is Oxid Coin?


   Oxid Coin is decentralized cryptocurrency that utilizes a peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks.

   Oxid Coin is a base to OXIDEX Decentralized Crypto Portal, powered by a network of Staking Nodes, Masternodes and Supernodes.

   Staking Nodes protect the network via POS mechanism. Masternodes and Supernodes are the backbone to Oxid's network storing and serving the blockchain to the users as well as validating transactions.

   Our goal is to build a Crypto Portal (called OXIDEX) with applications for our users to invest, trade and have a market place to buy and sell goods as well as an escrow service for our user protection.

   As we progress, we will be adding new applications and looking for partnerships, aiming to make a one stop full-service crypto solution.


Masternodes

   Oxid Masternodes are network servers that are constantly connected to the Oxid Network and perform service functions like validating, storing and serving the blockchain to the users. Masternodes are the backbone to the Oxid's network.

   Anyone with 5000 OXID can set up and operate an Oxid Blockchain Masternode, which helps to provide an additional security, reliability, and performance to the blockchain. For their dedicated service Masternodes receive 40% of each mined Oxid block reward.


Supernodes

   Anyone with 25000 OXID can set up and operate an Oxid Blockchain Masternode, which helps to provide an additional security, reliability, and performance to the blockchain. For their dedicated service Masternodes receive 40% of each mined Oxid block reward.

You had to fill the swap form on our website (https://oxid.io) by 15th of September.

So I guess you get to keep the coins that people did not get a chance to swap? Seems a little ridiculous to me.

So when is the big burn then for all the unclaimed coins in swap? Must be nice to be able to steal other peoples coins.

What was before September 15, it is possible to resume now??? Many of the owners of coins, did not know about the exchange!!!

The old fork is still working. Wallet synchronized. POS goes. Why was everything changed? Yes, you threw a lot of people. When you offered, give me your coins now, I will give them to you in six months. But to this no one believes it now. Therefore, you threw us, those who mining coins on the scrypt.

Old chain was exploited - few people were receiving Supernode rewards without having a Supernode. We wanted to protect honest investors so we offered a swap to a new blockchain.

What is the situation now?

We've release wallet version 2.0.2 with some improvements and bug fixes.

To update the wallet:

1. Download a new file for your OS from here: https://github.com/oxidcoin/oxid_2.0/releases/tag/v2.0.2
2. Backup wallet.dat, oxid.conf and masternode.conf files
3. Delete everything else from oxidred folder
4. Start wallet and wait for it to resync
5. Make sure the block number matches explorer block count (could be that you need to repeat the process above for a few times until it syncs to the correct chain)
6. Can run to verify if your block hash is the same as explorer's:



*change 27893 to the latest block

For example 27893 Block Hash is 2599bef38510bdaa8b1c604a084add17297941427fb80b4fbba68f4b0fcd86a1

7. Repeat steps 1 to 5 until you get the right one. Verify the latest block hash.

Multiple Masternodes

Could anyone help me out Im wondering how I can run multiple masternodes from 1 wallet. I do have 2 VPS with IPS

Im getting the error incorrect rpcuser or rpcpassword (authorization failed) when I try to get the second node up and running.

On the debug im getting Masternode tier is UNKNOWN!!!

Don't need to change anything in oxid.conf for the 2nd node, just add 2nd node info to masternode.conf file.

Delete mncache.dat and mnpayments.dat from oxidred folder before starting your local wallet. This will help to sync your nodes and will not show the tier as UNKNOWN.

Masternodes with the old 70002 protocol will eventually stop receiving the rewards[/size]

Update the wallet:

If you did not use `install.sh` script to set up your masternode make sure to delete everything except `wallet.dat, oxid.conf and masternode.conf` files from `.oxidred` folder before starting `oxidd` daemon

This is a profitable but quiet coin, its 52 days to ROI on this coin and i'm half way along. no issues encountered so far, the block chain is fast and stable.
