The idea with 3D printers is not new, that year they were already there, and as far as I remember, not one was not successful. You have a good and bright website, but the announcement looks poor.

Maybe add some snippets from their website at least. Their min contribution during pre-sale is 10eth. So quite large amount of money for small timers. They might want to lower such amount as the crypto market is not making any good progress at the moment.

There are a lot of similar projects and they didn't work in the past year. But this time it could have been successful if they actually announce it well maybe some investors will begin to see here. Team just enough to make a big change on this project so as to make this project is different from the others.

yes, there are definitely many out there who need this project, if seen from the roadmap this project is pretty good

This is an absolutelly great idea! As we know 3D printing is new thing on 21st generation and already helping millions of people. It's been starting from printing small bits, to printing houses and even in medicine. Whole idea behind this is great, and when you involve blockchain into it, it should make a large difference in our lives.

Very true. If they will continue like this, people will start to lose their interest as they couldn't get the info that they want. Active communication with the community is very important in gaining loyal supporters. Or maybe they just want noobs to spam their thread?  ;D

why did you say that? I don't see anything interesting in the Forge project and it's still a normal thing, you can see it on the Forge website, they haven't got a rating from sites like Icobench or TrackIco

Thanks! We've seen the success of Sirin Labs and feel we have a good chance of creating something at that scale and possibly larger. We plan to also launch a pre order for one of our 3D printers in the coming days.

We've just updated our main post! Our newbie status had prevented us from doing so before.

We believe there is big potential for 3D printed alternatives to consumer goods. Many products can be manufactured using 3D printers! Consumers could potentially have access to low cost and customised goods with a short lead time.

well, it seems like, so people who need 3D design can be helped with this platform. but there is one thing that is a question, what about the problem of copyright? can you guarantee that all 3D designs on Platform Forge don't have problems with copyright.

Great question! The Forge platform can prevent copyrighted objects from being 3D printed provided that the author has uploaded their design to the system. Each design file has a unique hash so that the same object cannot be uploaded twice. This opens the possibility of collaboration with existing product companies and presents an avenue to sell existing products that can be 3D printed.

It is becoming rare to see real and innovative projects in market these days. Forge is different and looks full potential at large from whatever I read so far. I will be diving in for more information about its future implementations and possibilities. That two months time for crowdfunding is well thought in current market situation.
