For me, bearish market not literally drives me to push forward into investing more on the projects that I want. I always think of the possibilities that might happen in the future when I continue to support a decision that I make.

You are right, in this tough phase of market a bull run possibilities are very low. However we need to wait until the market recovers, yes more projects are expected to come. I think that bearish market could be very long and some projects will not survive until next boom. Because of that investing in the falling assets is more risky than investing in increasing ones. The people now should be more careful.

I think your news information about the crypto market is quite correct, however you never can't tell the crypto market might have a turn around for better within the last months of the year, we hope every thing come up fast to encourage investors of crypto market

You are right, this year has provided us with many opportunities for investment, but not many are ready to do this, because it is not known what will be in the future. 2018 was one of the most profitable years in altcoin market because prices were falling! as a newbie you may not know this but in trading you never nee price rise to make profit. you can make a lot of profit during the dumps too. one of the obvious things that was so popular these days is the margin trading which made so many traders rich.
not to mention that during dumps we have the wildest dead cat bounces and they always mean a big profit in short term.
and finally we (like always) have altcoins that get pumped regardless of what the majority are doing!

I would say this is a good time to invest, not the best time. The best for me would have been years ago when only a few believed in bitcoin.

- You hold your coins and hope to get at least half or your invest back

I will agree with you OP, cause, since the start of this year, it has been a down trend on the entire Crypto market, where the market is filled with red colors everywhere. Disagree with you, 2018 has be favorable to me and many others in cryptocurrency community even though the profits are not huge as it were before in 2017.
My breakthrough this year was for trade and investment on short term, majorly on altcoins and partially on long term with Bitcoin.

I definitely agree with this. I have been collecting bitcoin as much as I can work for as long as I can remember and never stopped doing it and this year has been the biggest potential I can ever see. The prices for many coins not just bitcoin has been insanely high, I know maybe not all of them will go break the all time high prices during a bull run but honestly if you save your coins and tally up than you will definitely get a good surprise when the time comes.

Yeh I do believe also in you OP. We have the same perception on bitcoin market nowadays. And I will be happy also to invest now where market price is cheaper than before. This may seem to be the best time for investment and in fact I have already invested in BTC and planning to invest on BCH. However, as I try to invest on BCH it says that BCH is not yet accepting for fiat to crypto converstion in our local exchange.

Not too many people understand this kind of opportunity and investment strategy. If you invest in a project like Tapcoin for example, you would be making the right call. A platform that allows you to enjoy premium deals at extravagant discount rates, and still rewards you with their token that's spendable on any of their partner outlets. I tend to agree with your thoughts on here bud. It is not quite often that we could experience such this kind of downfall trend and instead of whining why these things happen we should change our perspective. This is a marathon and we should pace ourselves in terms of our crypto holdings. This time we should add more to our portfolio then enjoy the profit later. There is no such thing as getting rich quickly here in crypto and we should have known it by now.

Except for daily trader, i agree that 2018 wasn't a good year for making big profit even though there are some coins that roses quite high (BOB and XYO for examples). Since Q4 2018, I have gradually bought more some coins that i considered have big potential to be growth in the future using my 2nd phase of capital.

I use to think that too "HODLing" as the best option, well in some cases or project yes but you really can accumulate even in the bear market which I have done with one particular new project since 2018 which I also believe can be done with every other projects but with different risk factors. I believe trading general is about risk taking and once you learn the ropes and manage your risk, you can accumulate as much and when the market returns to normal, you will rip the gains.

I thought I was the only person who knew this, the bear market thought us all a big lesson and still continues to do so, but it also Helped a lot of us to purchase some coins which we wouldn't normally have been able to afford, 2019 would be a time to trade, brace yourselves.

It is possible that the year 2018 is the year for investors but many investors have stopped investing because it is no longer able to rerecover the cryptocurrency market. But many investors are lamenting that because of today's low prices of altcoins and of bitcoin.

Its the year of saving, year that we can save our token and wait for the mid 2019 for the time that the market can get well, and at that time we can expect to earn allot as we sell those token.

The fact is that it is not necessary to invest in Bitcoin or the most rated altcoin. After all, if you analyze the cryptocurrency market, you can find quite good and promising projects to invest in new coins.

Investment is alwase risky. 2018 is not good for making big profit. But i am agree with you that it is a very good time to invest some good ICO or some token or coin. I think investment of bitcoin is the best.

It is true that 2018 has been a bloody year for crypto, which in turn allows us to invest at a lower price. It is a good opportunity for us actually. Otherwise, I don’t think I am able to buy the quantity of coins if not for the bear market.

For me 2018 was a year to learn and grow, it was the year I joined crypto and jumped in without just a little basic knowledge which cost me dearly. So far 2019 already has been better for me  ;D

Not many are really taking the opportunity to accumulate coins for different reasons, some are too afraid, they remember the way the price crashed and they think it may happen again and buying more coins will only increase their exposure to the volatility of the market, others have the money but with the market not moving they do not see any need to buy now when they can wait and see if they get better prices.

Throughout 2018 to generate profits is indeed very difficult because market prices have decreased. However, for daily trading, it can still generate profits, even though the profits generated are small. And in 2018 this has a great opportunity to invest in coins with great potential. Because the price of coins is very low.

I have made my share of losses and gains in 2018 but I still have a truckload of assets invested pending when the projects really get running (IF the devs actually stay true to their word). 2019 is a year to double up on my hustles. Hodl less. Sell more.

It’s correct that 2018 was not a good year for crypto but not a bad year to buy crypto currency because good time to buy alt coins at low price & hold for long term to get a reason able profit.

This should be the case, with the market situation getting lower, we can use it to reinvest because the price is cheap and affordable. but choose wisely do not just invest if you want to get the benefits as expected.

True, 2018 is an investment year because with the decline in bitcoin prices to the level of USD 3500, it gives an opportunity for investors to invest, while waiting for prices to rise again.
Because the decline in the price of bitcoin is not due to a decrease in the level of public confidence in bitcoin, but because the price cycle is too high in 2017 makes people unable to invest, so it corrects naturally.

Yes it really was not the year of making profit but for making more investments is the great time to get more profit in the coming months. And I think making more assets to make sure that we can get a better earnings in different currencies to grow in this kind of situation is the best strategy.
