Hello, my erc20 ethplorer showing eventually rise upto $3365 on 06 Nov. 2018 but i have just only around $230 in my wallet. I don't know what token or coin rise rapidly in just 1 day or maybe 2-3 hours. Even i don't have any big amount of tokens or coins or high price tokens. Any suggestion in this. It's just a price display error. I get that a lot of times. In fact, it is very unpleasant when you see that your portfolio has grown to $ 10,000 in a few minutes, and then again dropped to $340 :( Sad

It must have been a sudden price manipulation on the token side
Good for you that you didn’t move to an exchange, you could have lost your token to a cheap sale
Be calm and take full investigation ahead of next time

It is an error since you can't see it from the value of all your coin and tokens that you have that amount, it is mirage balance you are seeing. The real balance is what $230.

There might be a slight mistake in the network at that point before correcting itself. I just check my wallet too on ethplorer.io, but everything looks normal. No sudden rise and no sudden fall.

 It can be a small error or it can be a fast pump on that coin. You know sometimes whales pumping low marketcap coins like 10x 20x in 1 hour. So you maybe you saw that kind of price tag in your etherscan because of that. I saw that kind of thing 1 months ago. My portfolio jumped 2k to 15k dollar for only 2 hours :D . That was exciting experience for me.

I think it's just an error or maybe it's a quick pump made by the whales like a trap to lure all traders into and make easy money :). You no need to worry about it cause it doesn't have any bad affect to you or your wallet. LOL. I think if you could catch that time, you'd very happy now. LOL.

There are some coins that are showing the same error like what has already received by OP. Remember just like there was a coin that has very low volume and it can be pumped easily to create a manipulation on its price.
This just a usual problem need to be fixed.

I usually use etherscan and I have never seen such cases there.
Also i have many coins which unknown to me (it was airdrop or something).
May be one day some of them will go to the moon )

Such sharp balance jumps are most likely the result of errors.  At the same time, this can be easily verified from other sources.  I do not see anything like that to start a panic.

I think sometimes there might be some technical loading error by the ERC20 ethplorer because if few tokens can bring about such a huge sum of dollar value of $3365, I believe there is a mistake some where

Yeah it happens sometimes especially in ethplorer i have also experienced this many times initially i got excited that my portfolio has pumped rapidly but now i know there some sort of api or price connectivity error that shows inflated prices.

As you are not giving the token name and you are hiding you wallet, we can't tell you.
But I can speculate than somebody did pump and dump to your token and price was Up for an hour or two and then returned to normal.

It would be better if you shared the Ethereum Address. People already said that it might because of pump and dump of some specific token. Check all of your token price on CMC and learn the recent high.

ethplorer calculates the increase or decrease value of wallet by calculating the date you have an infinite transfers or out of the wallet. So let's review the dates of Nov 6 when there were any deals. You will find that token

There are some rare situations or occasions with some tokens. Two different cars that looked so similar to this had happened to me. First, was with ERC20 token. I did not know that another ERC20 had been created and that was what was being traded, but the price was reflecting on the old ERC20, which was a very high one. Definitely, that is a false hope.
The second was when there was a flash trade with very little volume, but the price was high. This sometimes can happen when someone mistakenly buys a token at a very high price and that is the only trade that happened.

Ouch, what you suffered is somethign very common, it happens when there is an order executed an anormal price. I remember in end 2017, someone bought 1,6 WTC for 60.000$... making a huge mistake, when thinking he was buying 60.000WTC at 1,6$. Be carefull with bait prices in exchanges like IDEX

I guess there was a token that gets a strange pump and that's the only point in this case dude. Remember when someone are not aware about his portfolios and he may not see it as the impact that caused by his portfolios.
I have seen that even ethplorer count the shitcoin pump too.

Lol, what were you thinking? A miraculous price increment? Maybe MEW did not match the actual price of a token well from the exchanges average before displaying it on your explorer.

You can see it in the list in your wallet. coins that are rising and have a high selling value. Ethplorer is where we see the results of ERC20 transactions, of course we can see the number of assets that exist when you control them.

Well it's nice to know that you gain to what your holding but as of now that bear market is still on, I don't think that some of people now have gaining to their profits. Still hodl it and wait a great wave.

It's just a bug / error from ethplorer, I often experience it, to accurately see the number of assets, I usually immediately see through mew or etherscan

Sometimes something goes wrong when we see the value of our assets. if we look at https://etherscan.io or whatnot. The price of a coin that we have increases in price but when we look at the market for the coin there is no increase at all. This happened to me until now. There is one coin with a high price but in a low price market.

hhmm I think its just an error, you can relog in to your wallet, and you will see real asset value. I ever get same like you :). Just an error not real hahahaha

That is a display error or let say some kind of network error, even if there will be a rise in the price of a coin not to that extent and to imagine is within some hours.

It happened to me once ,I added a token manually and it brings me the balance of the whole max supply token showing Worth's of thousands $$$,I detect its an error of display from my wallet

How long does it takes from that amount of value into that $3000++ value? Does it happen in a matter of hour or day? I think there are something wrong with the coin itself. Just makesure to check each coins that you had, which on affecting the value of you total money

Sometime, I notice that ETH Explorer has display errors in prices. Don’t get too excited, always check against the prices in exchanges. I experience this a couple of times with ETH explorer.

My all investments are now in altcoins. I am now in more than 70% losses. All my tokens are in different exchangers. I am waiting for a pump which will cover my losses.

The fact is that sometimes, there are flash moons in some tokens, some tokens would grow as much as 1500% but whereto u can see it's real value is in the exchanges because some of them wouldn't even have any decent buy order.

Sometimes it's just an error or a scam token, I have a token that was initially issued in the NEO blockchain but a scammer issued a fake one in Ethereum Blockchain and up till today, it is still showing that I have $500 worth of token but in reality, the token is worthless.

I think just one of your coins was bumped for several minutes, there a lot of bumping groups, they are doing stuff like that. However it can be a simple error as was said before.

I think ethexplorer using cmc api and sometime there is a developer to fool cmc by making market manipulation. As far as I know there are many users who disappointed with cmc. I have experience similar situation once with erc20/belance token which suddenly increase so high. In the end, the best way to know your asset value is going to current exchange.

Its because they are following bitcoins just like the altcoins does. Erc20 is just the same as bitcoins so i dont think erc20 tokens will have more unique pattern.

it is not a rise when you lose $50000 because of the dumps then earn $10 of it back because of the recent rise. and that is what happened to your bags. you lost about 85% of the money you invested in these shitty tokens and instead of dumping them while they were still worth something you decided to become a bagholder and now you are getting excited because a tiny amount of that huge loss is recovered!!!

sorry to tell you this but you won't survive this market with that attitude.

This may be a pump token that have big bull run and big pump and buy orders and price grow but when dump the price goes back down and that maybe is how i can explain.

ETH have pumping it now and we could think that ethereum base tokens will surely have it increase also but not that satisfying for now and may should wait for few more days as it will continue to pumps. Maybe it happen that investors have working it now and may they help to make the market to be back in action again.

By now you should understand that the cryptocurrency market is a highly volatile market that is prone to flash price changes and one thing about it is that a price can increase and decrease in just a space of seconds.

There would be no way to determine the token that rose in price unless you would start checking the price chart if every single token in your wallet, this is a time consuming process.

It doesn't really matter how long the bear market has stood. There are still some people making profit each day, especially the Day traders. Imagine you bought some ETH when the price dropped to almost $100. Now, the price is $139 which is a huge profit if you invested $1K. This is what it means when experts say, "it is time to buy the dip."

Such a situation often occurs when there is a failure either in the wallet or on the exchange. In my memory, I can name many cases when the price of the token increased sharply on one of the exchanges and my coins cost tens of thousands of dollars. But, unfortunately, it was only a failure.

Was that even possible? You've earned volume ? I just though what element can increase in ethereum is only its market price but personally the volume has increase on you? I guess someone gave you that.

Yes they may rise but most of them never go back to the same value it had before.

Playkey were near 5$ each at some point now 0.03$. It needs to do 200x to get same value before and i think it is impossible.

Do not care, it shows that some coin in a wallet was pumped on some decentralized exchange, but you will not be able to sell the tokens for such high price.

If i remember correctly this pumps were caused by increase of bitcoin price and for reaching that all time high levels we need same acceleration force by dominant top crytpos included bitcoin, ethereum. 200x for nowadays is almost impossible except special something going to happen.

Ethereum recently have see a great uptrend movement which has kept ethereum outstanding as one of the best gaining cryptocurrency in the market currently.  I am yet to figure out the reason of its sudden growth but I am overly happy to see that

If you didn't see any increase in your token price then it is just an error. I encountered it already that my balance in one exchange suddenly increased then when i try to withdraw it shows my balance is not enough. If it shows in your tokens value then you are lucky.

I've experience that scenarios also and I've never expect it. Definitely it is just a common log happen to an exchanges and we never excite it if we saw that huge pumps cause it eventually back to normal and see its original price.
Our market turns into red again for now and it seemingly shows continuous uptrend motion in few days coming but we shouldn't think that this is the beginning for bull run. It absolutely just normal fluctuations.
 

I do not think it is only applicable to decentralized exchange. This can happen to any coin listed on any exchange, whether it is decentralized or centralized, inasmuch as it is listed on coin watch site.
A situation like this is sometimes inevitable in the crypto space. Always ensure to check and confirm what is happening on the exchange(s) where the coin is listed.

This happens to me a lot of times. It's just an error or a sudden pump on one of your tokens in the market. So, it's better to check it quickly on the exchange if there's really a legit increase of the price. This is also happen on blockfolio apps.

Honestly, I have never had such a thing, so the only thing that I can assume is that some kind of error has occurred!

I said decentralized exchange because there is no volume, or smaller volume than on centralized exchanges, so you can pump some coin without any effort.

Eth price is bullish as per currency chart so we can expect positive sign erc20 token to see positive growth hopefully after hardfork of eth we may expect eth prices to jump three times

This is just a mistake that incorrectly displays your balance on the wallet. This happens periodically, and I also became a victim of this situation. When I saw in the morning that my coins were worth more than $10k, I was extremely surprised and annoyed at the same time.

Ethplorer and websites like that are still very buggy, I gave up being surprised with this kind of magic long time ago :) This technology is still very raw, we should admit it.

I have the same errors were , and the same day there was a lot of assets , but the next day it is , or maybe what the coin you had the pump , but I think you should not pay attention to it)

That is a carefully orchestrated error my friend. One of your tokens must have had its price manipulated at an exchange. So it shows a false price. Don't get carried away yet. It happens to me too

I also see some changes happening in my wallet. During the last year I have collected a lot of bounty tokens and hope that I will get my rewards in the future, because if you count these tokens in the ICO price it would be a big sum of money already.

Isn't it obvious that this is nothing but just an error. The total approx value of your wallet is just about $280. There was no major pump in any coins in that duration of time.
And now the price is back to what it was. So this makes it obvious that there an error in the ethplorer website.
Just report it, who knows if you are luck they might reward you with a bounty  ;D

I often experience things like that, It seems that the balance or value of our assets is being erroneous. Because, I first saw something like this also surprised. Because why our assets are up 100%. It turned out that after I checked the market there was no increase. We recommend that you immediately see the market for each coin to see the price.

I never looked that way I always checked what's on the actual balance and never looked elsewhere, it is just a clitch if you think you are on a 10005 pumped then check it another explorer and see if they both shows the same results or values.

I often have this happens, it is a system error in the platform. Just ignore it. Connect your wallet to telegram bot and it will show you how much your tokens cost and are traded.

It was a display error, I often met it, at first I felt very surprised and I entered the exchange to check  but the value of that coin didn't increase, I don't understand why?

In my opinion, that would be just an act of pump to lure any investors to put their money in some coins that suddenly rising, so the one that luring will be able to make huge profit from that.

You can check it later in a few days later, and you will see that the total of your token will decrease again. It's because the coin was moving following bitcoin price and while bitcoin moves, your token will adjust and you will see the up and down of the price. So nothing needed to worry with that. But to know which token that will rise in the future, there is only one thing that you can do which is you need to hold it for a long time because it will not happen in the short time.

But I do hope that you understand how volatile this market is?

So there will be a time that the price will keep on jumping up and down because maybe of the continues buy and sell or trade that is going on. So you have to continue monitor your wallet and of course the tokens you have.

Right now though, it looks like almost all coins have been pumping because bitcoin is making a good run to $4k. It's good thing to see our portfolio grow, and we do hope this is the start of a bull run again.

I think this happens from time to time in ethplorer. Made me feel like I can buy a whole country with the amount of money showing in my wallet :)

it is either an evaluation error of myetherwallet or a quick manipulation of some token
