It is quite obvious to every one the value of bitcoin has dropped drastically after reaching it peak of $20,000. It however dropped to $6000+ later in the year which no one saw coming.  As 2019 approaches do you think it will follow the similar pattern again this year?.

who said that nobody saw that coming in ? honestly speaking, i even saw a lot of peoples were expecting it to move around $4000~ more or less than that.
peoples realized the fact that Bitcoin moved up crazily due to hype instead of organic growth, that was why a lot of peoples were expecting this.
about similiar pattern, nobody knows because lately Bitcoin broke every pattern.
like usually got pumped after or at tax day , conference and many more, but in reality it did not.
however, we can not deny the fact that in 2020 we are going to see another halving which means the rewards will be decreased by a half. that means we must push the price up at least for more than $6000. Because if we do not push it up, the miners will not mine it again and usually the price increased a few months before the halving and it started in july a year before the halving. so i am expecting and hoping it to work as it used to be.

Yes bitcoin will rise in a year of 2019, Maybe it will start of the month in january and drop to february until in October.
But not to much drop of, Maybe the price of it was comes $6000 again just like now the price of bitcoin was stable.

Nothing is impossible, it could be that Bitcoin will increase or decrease again in 2019, we never know, but if that increase happens, of course that is what we expect, the increase in altcoin is very much awaited by everyone from falling prices in 2018.

This is related to the world's financial system. If world capitalists start to recognize cryptocurrencies, then I believe this can be achieved. But now it seems that I want to imagine that the cryptocurrency market has declined a lot.

Some saw it coming cause I could remember I read an article back in November that this year will be a bear market in crypto so for such post to be posted at that time definitely some really expect it to be but many newbies were cut in the middle , so I don't think this year will look more like last year as everything still point out to be bearish.

I agree. This makes more sense overall when compared to other theories which are being thrown around these days. The only other reasons that Bitcoin could pump like crazy is if some big country decides to adopt Bitcoin or if the ETF proposal gets approved(Low chances) which is why I am not pinning my hopes on any of these reasons. What people need to understand is that 2017 was an exception and not the norm in this extremely volatile cryptocurrency market which is why it is better to not depend completely on this market for your daily livelihood.

2018 has been a slow year and mostly inactive for bitcoin, that could be a catalyst for growth come 2019.

I did predict drop to 5-10k for BTC when it reached 20k range . But i though it will take like 1-2 months to recover back to 20k =D Looks like i was wrong . But for 2019 i really believe we will see something bigger than 20k if ETF will be Approved . Look around how many big news is out around internet , big institutions is coming :)

Bitcoin is losing popularity, and therefore its capitalization rates are falling. So it's too early to talk about the “desired 20 thousand.” It is necessary to ride out a long period of stabilization.

Maybe this will goes the same pattern this 2019 and maybe not because according to some experts, they said that bitcoin will hit a new ATH in 2019 but that is only a prediction so we cannot really tell that it is 100% accurate. Let us all hope that they are true. One thing for sure is that bitcoin will surpass its ATH everytime.

It's either what we aren't expecting for this rise will come or what we are expecting to come will come so whatever comes out first on 2019 just be grateful. You need to hold until you can if you go for long term, it's a process that we need to go through before reaching new heights.

Today is not the same as yesterday. Even it looks like the same but still there are some major differences from 2018 and in 2019 crypto history.

Ask anybody here, he does not know the answer, the current can be said at random. The crypto market is already managed by large whale investment funds. And this shows us brightly the last month of October where the price of bitcoin and almost all coins stay at the same level and volatility is almost invisible. No one really knows what could happen in the year 2019, maybe bitcoin price will rise again, hopefully. Maybe it would regain its previous price between 12k to 15k USD. All we can do is expect and wait for it to happen. Hopefully the price would rise specially this month and the following month. Last year, it reaches its peak in mid december. Many have expected rhe price would rise in the previous months but what happened is the price continously increased slowly reaching what is the price today.
So, lets just all hope for the price to increase, in addition i think the bitcoin price would increase this december. Many would trade bitcoin for USD to be used for the Christmas season.

I think by the end of this year Bitcoin will grow in price, but not by much, up to 9k dollars maximum. And in my opinion in the beginning of 2019, it will gradually continue to grow.

It is not bad to follow people to get some news on possible analysis, but be very careful who you want to be following though, as it is not every analyst that knows what they are doing.

Also, if there is a chance to at least learn on your own, it is always a good thing to try as much as possible to do things by yourself, and even if you want to be using other analyst info, you are just using it to back up what you think and not just following everything they say as it comes.
