Title: HashAltcoin [Blackminer F1] - Bittawm Trust Review
Post by: bittawm on November 08, 2018, 02:34:38 AM
Over the years (and increasingly over the last year) I have seen many individuals and individuals pretending to be professional manufacturers scam people.

They create a website and post pics of some prototype boards or fake chassis , they open up a quickly put together website accepting BTC or other Alts.

When Hashaltcoin first posted their thread I admit at first thought I thought it was another Scam

After ruplikminer's comprehensive technical breakdown I finally plucked up enough confidence to order one, at least this proved it was a real miner.

As soon as I ordered it Lili from Blackminer directed it to my mining pool via there web UI. Zen Protocol has been great profits for such low power consumption with earnings of 12-15USD per day

After two days and 70 ZP accumulated my miner was then shipped to me.

Being in New Zealand we receive our packages a little later than the rest of the world being so distant from other countries.

I have since received the package and have had a good tinker mining on various algorithms the specs are displayed below.

The miner works as advertised and HashAltcoin shipped it off very quickly, I was impressed.

The Specs:

lyra2z:    53.0 MH/s
skeincoin:    5.04 GH/s
xvg_lyra2rev2:    216.0 MH/s
phi2:    51.7 MH/s
xdag:    14.4 GH/s
tribus:    2.94 GH/s
nexus:    2.45 GH/s
bcx:     16.56 GH/s
0xbtc:    21.12 GH/s
keccak:    21.12 GH/s
phi1612:    314.0 MH/s
zp:            22.0 GH/s

Power on wall: 0.6 KW

The advantages:

  • One of the first antstyle FPGA miners
  • FPGA versatility - Multiple algorithms
  • Future bitstream opportunity - Even more algorithms that have not been developed yet
  • Low wattage - significantly more earnings than high powered bitcoin miner

Where to buy:

Website to buy direct: https://www.hashaltcoin.com/miners

This company has proven they deliver a product that does what they say it does, they get my approval. I have ordered direct myself. I am excited for future miners from Hashaltcoin

For those of you who still want to get my guarantee and either get a product or a refund you can order on my website at www.bittawmart.com

These guys are first one with working FPGA based miners, with cloud hosting added on. I have two hosted F1s, and it was pretty smooth experience. They were up and running in no time after payment. There was some issue with the first one to get it running, but was sorted out in few minutes via help on Discord. A very surprising customer experience for something running in that part of the work.

Quite a few available algos, and more coming. Though the cloud option could use few more configuration options to select pool/ports/coins.

AllMine/Mineority take note. This is the benchmark for FPGA, and cloud hosting.

I bought one yesterday.  I was up and running in a couple of minutes.  The whole process from purchase to mining took maybe twenty minutes.  The set up of the unit is intuitive and easy.  Did not need to access any support.  One thing people should be aware of in the hosted environment there is a restriction on pools and coins.  The choice will be expanded over the coming months.   I have requested some additional pools be added, however, I am not the first.  It appears from their discord channel that they are concentrating on bitstream development.   For me, this is an easy way to get into FGPA mining.  I have tested most of the bitstreams to confirm hashrates and they are within +-5%  -- very pleased -- now just need to make the purchase price back.  :-)  ::)

Beside the need to download new bitstreams, is there any network connection needed to their servers after purchase for non-hosted? Will it basically run like a antminer?

Yesterday(11.8.2018) we launched a new function, users who use Blackminer F1 can setup his own mining pool strategy. The users can specify pool port number so that they can mine some other coins using the same algorithm on the selected pool

Welcome you to join in our official Discord group: https://discord.gg/eUNRSgy (https://discord.gg/eUNRSgy)
And you can apply a trial miner for free on our website: hashaltcoin.com (http://hashaltcoin.com)

I too can confirm their miner really does exist! I just received it yesterday and works as described so far and will be releasing a full review video on my YouTube channel soon as will.

I too have seen plenty of scams over the years and I do have to say this is definitely not one of them. I am very impressed with their customer service and how fast they were able to ship it out.

Yeah you got off on wrong foot by not sending a sample to someone.

You need understand  there have been more then 1000  scams with fake gear since 2010.

This site has more then a dozen good reviewers.

Myself

bittawm

vosk

All of us have reviewed gear.  Most of us ask for gear to be sent on you the new builder's dime.

If I take on a new piece from a new guy.  I review it.  and I buy it or I send  it back to anywhere the builder wants in the world.

It helps new people get started.
So when you refused to do that  most often  it means you are a scammer.

I understand we have different cultural issues. Language barriers.  But all in all we are looking to promote mining and coins for the benefit of all of us.

Suchmoon sent me a reply I think your negative will be looked into this weekend.

Good luck with this gear.

Everything looks good with this review! Additionally, HashAltcoin offers a demo for the F1 on their website if you’re interested; my test run went just fine with the linked ZP pool in the first post of this thread.

Where does this miner ship from? I live in the United States and I am aware that there’s a pretty hefty import fee for miners from China. I have a feeling this does ship from China given the site has language options in English and also Simplified Chinese, but it’d be great if someone could confirm this information.

should sound just like an s9 or close to it. it only has one fan on the front of it and its identical/same as the fans on the asic miners. the blackminer looks like an asic but it is not it just uses the same housing as an asic basically cause its a good build and it helps it run cool.  If you use my coupon code  CHC4OQ  < you will get a $100 dollar coupon that you can use towards electricity costs so you can have them host it for a month or two and then have them ship you it

Its a good machine, but in current market not so much better then GPUs. Specially considering the price. I would go so far as to say that with cheap power its even worse because you cannot speculative mine new coins.

However I still don't see the value in these miners. As said they are good machines, easiest to use FPGA, but in the current market FPGA are not as good as they were advertised. Buying mining equipment at this time is a gamble for sure, but with GPUs I can mine Grin, BEAM, Veil or any new coin that just came out and at least score a jackpot from speculative mining or join an early train with some profitable coin. For instance if ETH goes ProgPow I can mine it with GPU but not with FPGA. And you are also dependent on the algos they provide. The profitability would have to be way better for such limitations and thus the ROI shorter. 2 year ROI is just not going to cut it.

Okay at 3 cent power  you do not need the efficiency this offers you.
at 10 cent power it turns profit.

To project past 3 months is a waste of time.
So to say it has a 2 year breakeven number is worthless math.

If you make a 6 dollar profit a day with it after 10 cent power it allows you to hold 2 dollars in coin every day and cash 4 dollars every day.
right now.    So you are paying it off and accumulating coins at the same time.
If coins go up your held coins are worth more$$
If coins go up your machine is worth more$$
and you are paying it down 4 bucks a day.

You can't do this with a gpu and 10 cent power.

Now does this mean I will buy one no it does not.  I have other deals that work for me and do not involve FPGA machines.

Here's a coupon code to use when purchasing a F1 or F1+ miner.  This gets you $100 worth of hosting fees or use towards shipping or use to take $100 off your next miner.  Code is XNLR0A.  Code value is $50 when buying the F1 single miner.

Literally never thought I would ever use a 'hosted' mining service but I have been exceptionally pleasantly surprised by Hashaltcoin.com so far so good, with very few outages, decent pool selection, fast service and with miners drawing little power even the $0.10/kw doesn't hurt that much. I have power at almost half this available but since the service is so damn good I haven't even had my miners shipped :)
