Title: Why are the Occulus rift sales stalling? Post by: JealousCup on November 08, 2018, 11:35:18 PM Despite the fact that prices for OR headsets and compatible hardware have been decreasing since their first launch and the constant developments in the technology used to build them, it appears that their sales and usage stats are still struggling to go up when compared with other tech products.

Don't you think that it would be more successful and provide more opportunities for the companies which have already started integrating immersive technologies in their business models? I don't think they can be combined. VR immerses you in an alternate visual reality, while AR enhances what you see. Mixed reality is currently beingdeveloped and seems like a promising technology for gaming/working/traveling, you name it!

No, it's still ongoing and Facebook has even already planned the launch of its new AR glasses. It might, but let's not forget that the tech sector is basically a monopoly so we should expect the firms like FB/Google not to be too transparent about the data they collect in virtual spaces.Title: Re: Why are the Occulus rift sales stalling? It just needs some improvements. But still pretty cool to play in VR. |
