Title: Does Crypto-Games have a new BTC Cold Wallet?
Post by: squatz1 on November 12, 2018, 09:52:22 PM
Was just checking out the cold wallets for some gambling places, though it seems like the one for Crypto-Games is fresh out. I'm more or less expecting this to be an issue with updating the site, but I would like to know if I'm missing an announcement or something like that.

Let me know folks, this is the link to their normal cold wallet - https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/19JK42EVP192PXwxiektEu7CT5PfersA1X

I'm not aware of any announcement. Might be better to ask in their ann topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=750760
Personally would like to know what's going on as well so I can quote this post there (or ask there myself if you don't want doing it for w/e reasons).

EDIT:
...
It's because ledger is using change addresses and moves funds everytime there's a withdrawal made from a wallet. Will update our faq.

Not completely on topic, but from where did you find the cold wallets of the gambling places you looked up? I tried searching for some in the past and came up with nearly nothing. It'd be great if you could give me a source, whether it's a list or scattered posts here and there.

Can't hurt to post in their ANN thread or simply PM the owner of the Crypto- message Bitcointalk account about this. Both the thread and the owner of the account are extremely active here, so you should get a quick response if you choose to go down this route.

You could check here for the info - https://www.crypto-games.net/faq - check the investment faq, it's all in there.

I don't know if this is the new one, though it seems like the funds were moved to this wallet.

DogecoinMachine said they will update FAQ with new address (see my post above).
But also mentioned the reason is new change addy after withdrawal. So i guess we can expect new address after each withdrawal (hmm... not much practical to keep tracking).

Oh alright, this makes sense.

Just wanted to make sure all of the investors were safe, didn't want to see people losing funds over this!

Thanks.

Nah, not to worry, funds there are as safe as can be, if you're trusting them to hold your Bitcoin like a few on this forum are (myself included). They've just about made it past year 4, along with only a handful of crypto casinos here. Doesn't make economic sense to exit.

Though, if the address is going to change with every withdrawal, might as well just make the same address also the change address. Point of change address is for privacy but since the cold wallet is publicly available...

They are here for how many years and have established their reputation when it comes to gambling industry. We cant really fully trust anyone but basing on its current standing after
all these years had passed I don't really have any doubts that they would messed up with its investors. Nothing is an assured thing and as an investor we should be ready on any possible
circumstances.

I think this is one of a good thing by splitting their funds to some of their address to secure their fund too. And I do not think any of their team want to ruin their reputation just by doing this. They can even get more from big whale and why they just just scam it? This is a big amount of course but I do not find any reason why they want to runaway with it

But following the conversation I don't think this will lead to any splitting of funds unless dogecoinmachine can clarify this development with how ledger works
