Title: Just calm the f$%^ down, this is not the end of Bitcoin.
Post by: Kakmakr on November 15, 2018, 05:37:49 AM
People are running for the hills, because they think the sky is falling and this is the end of Crypto currencies.  ::)

This whole spectacle has started with the FUD that are being spread in mainstream media and the supposed "war" that is happening in the Bitcoin world.

We can thank Roger Ver and Craig Wright for this, because they are the people who are fuelling this BITCOIN CASH war, with the upcoming BITCOIN CASH fork.

The dumb speculators do not know the difference between BITCOIN <BTC> and BITCOIN CASH , so they see blood on the street and instability, and they start to panic.

There is also confusion about some of the Bitcoin <BTC> hashing power that might be shifted to support one of the forks and to create a scenario where a specific fork would be sabotaged to enable double spend attacks.  ::)

All of this is causing massive confusion amongst people <speculators>, who does not know the difference between Bitcoin <BTC> and BITCOIN CASH and now the real Bitcoin is suffering because of that.

We will see a correction after the fork, when these idiots realize that the sky is not falling after all.  ::)

Only people who has less knowledge about bitcoin will go panic. Bitcoin has remained strong despite many attacks from different influential people who are trying to support other crypto rather than bitcoin. They just don't know that everything bad they throw about bitcoin, it will also affect the altcoins that they are supporting.

No one can replace bitcoin as the number one crypto and I hope that these guys will stop proving that the coin they are supporting is much better and more valuable than bitcoin.

Agreed. I can some fools running around the forum spreading the world that 'This is the end of Bitcoin' and I am not surprised by any of these statements since FUDers always find a way to spread FUD whenever the market crashes.

Bitcoin has survived far worse situations than this one in the past and has always come out strong which is why I urge everyone not to fall for such statements and instead continue HODLING all your cryptocurrency assets for the long term.

actually the panic, considering the scale of the FUD, has been pretty small in my opinion.

we have had a lot of FUD recently with bitcoin cash shitshow and a lot of manipulators have become active in past couple of days trying to push the price down. we also had a mass panic that caused this recent drop.
considering this situation and comparing it with previous ones we always had at least a 30% drop in less than 6 hours but as you can see it is barely 10% drop which has stopped in its early stages.

The problem is not primarily with the people on this forum. The FUD and confusion is spread by mainstream media that does not understand the technical aspects of this technology. They hear something about a war in the Crypto currency world and then they type "Bitcoin fork" and they land on some article covering the Bitcoin Cash fork and when they create their own article for mainstream media, the incorrectly base their so-called facts on something that they misunderstood.

There is just no medicine for stupidity and also people who are doing this deliberately.  >:(

Though we now bitcoin can stand still, yet it can create panic. Bigtime investors risking thier money and we cant blame them for that.

the panic is somewhat understandable though because this is a drop below the major buy support line and more importantly it is an unnatural drop. which is why everyone is so confused and scared about it specially the newbies in the market.

The dumb speculators do not know the difference between BITCOIN <BTC> and BITCOIN CASH , so they see blood on the street and instability, and they start to panic.
they know very well what is going on but the thing is that they love these types of FUD and drops. that is like the bread and butter of a bitcoin speculator! everyone was so bored with bitcoin since the price didn't move at all but now they are happy with this new development.

You realize some of us actually want the scared people to sell, right? We are buying... it will be cheaper... who cares if it goes down 80%. They gambled with money they didn't have while the rest of us store value cheaper and cheaper.

5700 is a logical price that will likely be followed by 5300 and 4700. That's okay - we are in a bear market now.

yes for sure, definitely it's not yet the end for bitcoin. we should remember that bitcoin is the most popular coin as it is the most valuable coin in the market, and also the most volume coin in terms of supply. so, don't worry now just wait patiently guys! its not the end of bitcoin as we think it's primary price was at 0.1$ and that's too far for it's price now.

Idk but the FUD was because of the miners issues. But the movers in this category are mostly technical traders and speculators and not hodlers. As hodlers has long been gone accepted that this market is going to reverse not anytime soon.

the cause is 2 fold
1. next gen asic switch over
2. VC tranche contracts of 12 month Hodl from last november buyup now selling

The speculations around btc always change, but the market cycles remain quite clear so far. We must rather walk through the dark while being guided by the logic of market cycles than new&shilling.

That's the whole point, people don't bite, they just talk. I remember back when we were hovering around the $15,000 level how people were almost begging for the price to dip below $10,000 so they could buy, and when it finally happens they pull back. People don't have the balls to buy when the market goes down, because they believe it can go down way further. They are afraid.

Not sure what caused this dump, and I don't even care to be honest, but I'm glad that I managed to buy a good number of sub $5500 coins yesterday.

I don't think normal investor now jump in and buy because they are currently worried for a sudden price drop and may wait for some more time to see whether prices can go still low. These people regret later for not buying some coins now. Only people who want to risk their money to earn a better profit will jump in now. Just hold and wait for better days soon.

Some part of the risky money will definitely enter the market soon or even now, but that's not this money that can support or turn the bear market into a bull market. The risk/reward ratio is what makes traders in, and though it's quite good now in the long run, no one can by 100% guarantee that btc will not break the global ascending trend. And if that does happen, there will be a huge collapse firstly to $3000 and then maybe even lower.

Bitcoin is the victim of a FUD from BCH so the price has dropped dramatically now, if indeed BCH wants to overthrow Bitcoin, I think that won't be possible, because BCH is the result of the Fork of Bitcoin, so BCH developers must realize that. Let's see the increase in the price of Bitcoin after this, because Bitcoin will not die.

For countless of times Bitcoin has been put to death by many speculators. People who do not fully understand the system and so they spread FUD's to create confusion and panic within the community. Bitcoin will stay for a long time. It's inevitable!

sometimes you shouldn't expect much out of the community. the big rises have brought in a lot of newbies, most of them kids, who have no understanding of the world let alone a market like bitcoin and the fundamentals of it.

and that is exactly what people like Wright and Ver have been abusing to fill their own pockets. this is indeed DISCOUNT DAY of bitcoin but people won't see it now, instead they are handing over their bitcoins cheap to the whales.

We could not blame the investors or contributors for bitcoin with this. After seeing bitcoin market price falling definitely they will do panic selling. This is just normal reaction of the many with having the same way of thinking. So, if bitcoin can recover for this hopefully it will not take too long because for sure it will be a trouble if it will take some time. People will be impatient to wait for comeback and will left forever.

We will just wasting our time if we start to panic selling our coins now, this market is only temporary, we just need to calm down.

Yes, your are right let's calm down.... am just watching the spectacles on the crypto market, yes, everyone in having some panic moves on their investment as a reaction to the Crypto War ? But what can i do about this perceived war? we are all affected by the drops of the crypto market, losses to a lot of investors, the unexpected turn of events now the crypto market experience is not just Crypto war but a fight for the status on the market to the detriment of other investors... I just hope this will be resolved soon and market will correct itself.....???

i seriously doubt that this drop had anything to do with investors confusing an altcoin (BCH) with bitcoin! this was mostly because of manipulation and the fear that started because CSW said he is going to dump 1 million bitcoin which was obviously a lie but the manipulators used it to push the price down.
in fact this can be a good signal for the rise next months since this could be seen as the last attempt at cheaper coins.

Do you have a source for the alleged statement that CW made about this? The guy has a serious God complex and I think someone should take him to court for market manipulation, if this is true.

I still think this has everything to do with Bitcoin Cash, because the uncertainty in the market was triggered a day before the fork in Bitcoin Cash was implemented. <This cannot be a coincidence>  ::)

Prior to the fork, people also sold some Bitcoin <BTC> to buy Bitcoin Cash, because they wanted to get some free coins after the fork. This has caused a small drop in the Bitcoin <BTC> price too.  >:(

People who cry and are in doubts will be the ones that will lost money, as always happens. Bitcoin will never die, and this is just how a crypto market moves. Don't you remember that 10% volatility in a day was just the normality? What about 30% in a day or so?

I agree with OP, I also believe that the so-called bitcoin cash war was made to FUD Bitcoin.  It is sad that many people cannot differentiate Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash thinking that BTC will end once this so called fork happen.  As usual, capitalist that want to buy at a great discount won't let if they see an opportunity to FUD the market to pass by.  They will make the best out of it and shake weak holders.  This thing keeps happening ever since I entered the cryptocurrency space, and after this dip, we always see a new ATH happen next.  So I guess, there is no need to panic and just hodl until the market recovers.

And why do you think that it would be the reason of the declining price? Bitcoin's price always decline like that and that is normal since we all know how volatile Bitcoin is, we should be used to it.

It may not be the same movement as last year's but I don't think that it would be the investor confusing an Altcoin to be Bitcoin. Investors are not that dumb to know that and they know a lot/tons of other altcoin that is different to Bitcoin. Bitcoin Cash will never be Bitcoin. They don't lack information and we should not think that they are having a mistake, it is just the movement of the price are based on the demand and all we have to do to earn from this is to do what is best in this situation, to reinvest while it is low.

I think the market performing poorly is not really due to the fork happening with Bitcoin Cash. It might have added a little to the downward trend for now but it is not the main reason. The bear season is really long and hard. I think this is still a part of it. However, this is nearing its end for sure. December is going to be a beautiful month for all of us Bitcoin hodlers.

Every time when the price goes down the same story repeats, this is getting so boring.
When will people learn that volatility is natural part of Bitcoin and that price corrections don't mean the end of Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general. Please get informed yourself before you engage in Bitcoin otherwise the only thing you do to yourself and others is damage.

If anything it gives a strong case for bitcoin cash or whatever the rest of the "bitcoin-insert-here" that will pop up in another few months to change its name, let's face it, it's not bitcoin and thus should not carry its name. if this was any other world company it would have been sued and a cease and desist shoved up its ass a long time ago.

if its going to fork whenever it wants and cause mass upheaval in the press and damage bitcoins price, which in turn will only help the media to throw more mud at it and put off future adopters. I mean no altcoin should be able to hammer the price of bitcoin in the way that it did or get confused in the press. there is enough confusion in the press as it is over bitcoin. Yes, it's all ok us sitting here and hoarding up cheap coins, but its actions like that will only damage bitcoin in the long run and hurt everyone.

This was only a fork of bitcoins rejects, what's going to happen if something more serious goes on? there will be people in the press deliberately using the similar name to try and smear bitcoins reputation. bitcoin evolved to cater to its growing needs and adoption, its former self should die and not have its name carried forward by people that want to change their mind every 6 months or whatever.

I believe it's funny people mention it, price went to nearly 20k and prices are still very high compared to ever.

Roger ver just went apeshit and craigh wright became crypto famous by bullshitting, the only positive thing I see about bch is that bitcoin is a bit easier to mine, interesting to see what a few whale bags can do.

Also, the fear about a hash bigger than bitcoin's current is there since always, fear used to be towards government's, now we have a bitcoin clone attempting to steal it's hashpower. The probability of someone investing so much money into hashpower to just disrupt the network for a certain amount of time is small since working for the network would probably make them more profits at long term, I think the nodes can reject a miner by mac or ip? might be wrong I has no idea about it.

So when we will have our first not money driven terrorists? :D.

Yes wait and be calm. Patience is one of the important factor in crypto market. As said "Patience is the key to success" applies here also. Wait for few months and see the market will be back with good and positive results. There is some reason where billions have been withdrawn from BTC which makes the fall in value to $5400 but this not shows the end of Bitcoin. Surely it will boost and reach above 10K in next year 2019. I believe there will not be an end for BTC.
