Always buy directly from TREZOR!

This will guarantee you are not buying a non Trezor product.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention

My fear for a blog-post such as this is that it may allow fakes to make minor changes and slip through the cracks. They point out very specific things to look out for, the hologram and the label on the box and this means all a counterfeiter would have to do is seek to mimic those elements a tad bit more efficiently. Now anyone that reads this post would look at their fake as "checking out" and looking fine. It makes me think that there is one very successful counterfeiter that they are targeting with this post and it very well could backfire by improving the techniques of that counterfeiter. That being said, the prevention method is rather common sense: purchase only from the manufacturer or official re-seller.

As someone currently in the market for a new Trezor, I probably wouldn't even purchase from a re-seller; I would only be comfortable going through the manufacturer/official company themselves. If you're looking for a Trezor at half price, save yourself the headache. Good security is not cheap and the Trezor is already a steal.
