If you believe the price of bitcoin is going to fall you sell your bitcoin or use as collateral to short, and buy back lower. You don't spend your bitcoin on silly luxury items. Why do you think the collectibles market is so soft now? People who have been around either think we have seen the bottom for bitcoin price or price may drop further and prefer to hold rather than spend bitcoin right now. Auctions are being closed because few want to spend their bitcoin while price is low ... I have not seen that in years. Looks like buyers are waiting until prices are up again so they can pay less bitcoin to win an auction. This does not surprise me in the slightest. They took the piss price wise with their handset and have always over valued their goods and services. An over inflated sense of worth. They're trying to rinse collectors plain and simple. They had $20mCD and spunked it away ending up with a company that does little else but make basic hardware that's poorly designed, delivered and of course over priced. For a company that's been in this space this long, they should be much better than this. As you can tell, not a fan.
