Well i understand this might sound awkward to an extent but the truth must be told. I used to be among those who cry and weep as a result of the bear market, But this period have taught me a lot in the cryptocurrency space. I am not ashamed to say i got a consideration good reward from participating in numerous Bounty. Thereafter most times the token i got from this Bounty dropped in price and value almost immediately after listing in exchange.

What Did I Do?
Instead of waiting for imaginary pump to occur, i study the market, trade with those token and successfully i have been able to double my token and at the same time double my reward with considerable profits made from trading such tokens.

This is a call to everyone out there, either Investors, Bounty Participants as the case maybe or traders. Instead of crying daily or keep checking your portfolio to see how easy it is for tokens in your disposal dip in price, you can actually carry out this trade an make some good profits. The earlier you learn how to trade the better it will be to save those digital assets of Yours. Because it is possible for you to trade those token, take out your profit and still have an equivalent amount of that token.
 
Remember, this is not a financial advise nor neither am i a financial adviser. Just trying to point out what has been working for me and i have been able to do it multiple times and cash out my profits during the bear markets.

Just try to learn to survive in any situation. Whatever the market is but im still doing my trade and just try to prepare more fiat money to buy these altcoins when they will be dipping again. That's the best method that i can do that consider about it will give me less risk than hold all of my money and assets.

I agree with you. I think that we can still make a profit from the bear market by exchanging clever and intelligent ways. I'm trying to triple my profits from the reward bounty. I'm serious. I know this sounds crazy, but I believe in my prediction.

Well, I usually try to sell the tokens from my bounty as soon as it's posted on the floor. It will then wait until the price drops a lot by dumpers and then buy a little later for a better price.

You do not understand that the price falls due to your own selling. if you don’t immediately sell the coins, you can earn a lot more than risking to buy back in the fall

Sometimes you can't blame the bounty hunters to sell their bounty reward after they received it and we can see it now that they are wright it due to this market condition that all crypto are continuously decreasing.

Many people got their ways to make gains in bear markets. A friend of mine will always tell me that the red market is his harvest ground. In other words, he means that he does a lot of trading during this period and make gains, rather than lamenting over his dumped portfolio. It's high time we started taking advantage of the bear market, say no to FUD and make crypto space better.  Remember, you only lose when you panic sell so cheap, every coin has its day, a good news might work wonders.

Thats easy to say, But the truth is its really hard to execute it specially doing trading in this Bear market is not easy task to do. Im never againts your thread but lets face the real deal not all you see or hear is applicable everytime specially in crypto.

Luckily, same as you do, I can still have profits in this bear market. Yes, it is much smaller than before and much slower than I used to but still happy with what's going on. We also have to be as alert as possible in searching for news relating to the coin we are holding. Take a look at ARN yesterday.

Nice story, but I would recommend to others, do not trade before you learn a lot how to trade! trading is the fastest and easiest way how to loose money, if you start trading without any knowledge. Remember that only 10% of people are really earning on trading platforms.

Tokens are given to be traded with and not to be store. What most folks do is storing the token which is more risky than even the value of the token depreciating. The risk part of it is the security of storage. So my opinion before you trade on Crypto asset gotten from bounty or ico purchase you need to learn how the trend of Crypto currency price action movement works, which is understanding the technical and fundamental  principle behind such asset.

The bear period is the best period for trading all you need to do is to carry out a smart calculation of the time and understand the market movement in order to know when to buy and sell you token on the exchange, that is how smart traders make more profits from they tokens during deeps. I have a friend who have already tripled his tokens using this same same trading mechanism.

I read about what a respected person writes, but I think that it would probably be best to take short positions with marginal shoulders, because the amount of money is always less than necessary.

the only advantage I can see from the market bear is that we can buy altcoins at low prices. but in my opinion it's not a good advantage, because if the market is in a downtrend too long many investors will leave.

Hahaha. Interesting how many don't understand that selling almost immediately have a negative effect in affecting the price of such tokens. I agree with you, even if you must sell, just try and place a good sell order slightly higher than that of the ICO price. With that buyers will also try and up their price to negotiate with the sellers price.

As someone said above-we must be able to adapt to any market conditions. But I wouldn't say that the market is so bad now, many tokens give an opportunity to earn. I earned on Counting House (x6) and xyo (x3) last month, although i can't look on Ethereum without tears  ;D.

nothing benefits the market Bear. it is difficult to be able to make a profit and if we make a wrong choice, we might lose. and I really don't like it when the crypto market is bearish like this.

It is glaringly obvious that the current prices of cryptocurrency is the lowest we have seen this year and we can unanimously  agree that this is the highest low that may happen this year. And for so many people, profit in 2018 is flat!

Trading when the bear market is quite profitable. We waiting for support level and resistance level. But it is indeed a high risk, I have lost several times. However that as a form of learning, the more experience you will become an expert.

There is nothing funny about it, it turns out that we really need to do just that, because today the market is overflowing with negative news and how we are not clear in the future to plan what kind of action.

the losses I experienced some time ago made me realize that it's better to wait until the market returns to normal. rather than trying to play just to get a very risky profit.

Actually I am also following same statergy for my tokens i keep trading for small profits and again buy them in red market conditions and i have gained much profits by this statergy and have doubled my coins many times.

Well I once thought this was a joke till I gave it a try and now I have been able to double some of my tokens. I understand the risk involved and it was my decision to take the risk. Now all am waiting for is to try and triple those token if possible then I can comfortably go over the process again. Thanks for this advice, though many won't accept it, but it is one of the best decision to stay safe during the bear market. Cryptocurrency can be very funny, but instead of complain, I think it is better we all get used to whatever situation we find ourselves in the marketplace and also prepare for either the worst which we might have seen in 2018 and then get ready for the best to come soonest.

You sell immediately you get the token and I believe you sell below the ICO price. You're as well among those who are responsible for the dip in price for most ICO's that manage to list during the bear market. Just try and change your strategy to suite the market conditions.

I do not think I am ready to take any of this risk. Maybe I can give it a try to know if it will works for me because I have been able to trade some tokens successfully not necessarily buy back those tokens. I think I have a lot to learn still. I like the post anyway.

Nice suggestion for these bearish market conditions, I too like to trade with new tokens instead of waiting for pumps.

I have just tried to add to a few of the bountie tokens with additional purchased tokens from the exchanges. It is difficult to see a way out of this at the moment as several of the ICO bounty coins are trading at a 95% loss to the ICO price. The true test will be when the market recovers and we will find out if the bounty coins recover along with them or simply remain as trash.

you did fine. and that is what everyone else should also do.
in my experience in this market you should always find a strategy that works for you instead of looking at what other people are  doing. and then adjust that strategy as much as you can until you find the best solution and make the most amount of profit.
a strategy that works for one person may not work for the other. for example i prefer only trading coins that have an ongoing pump instead of bag holding them and hoping for the pump to come.

Whether it's a bear or a bull market, anyone can get profits as long as he knows to play the game. I understand that you have the fear to make mistakes but if we keep on fearing, nothing will happen on our funds. That's the reason to study the trend and charts.

Very good attitude. People got used to HODL and profit. Well, the current days are far from good for holding. Current days are for the bold ones.
Even in a bear market, the prices have their ups and downs, just good enough for the bold ones to profit, if they know what they're doing. Of course, that needs time, that needs knowledge, and most important, patience to learn and pick the correct coins.

Looks like you have been lucky too.
It is hard to understand the market now for it just goes deeper and deeper.
Now it gets more difficult to guess where it will go. Somehow I am just back my ROI but never got much profit from all this bear market.

Want to profit from altcoins to use it for buying more bitcoin but it stopped. So now my savings will be used to abuse this cheaper price. ;D

That is what everybody should be doing instead of whining of this bearish market. This only show that it is not always loses during the bear, there is also ways to gain profit if you only knew how to maneuver your assets. 

Very cool this is really good advice. I would also like to clarify this situation. It is especially profitable to buy tokens or coins at the earliest stages from bounty hunters, because they sell cheaply on such exchanges as forkDelta or IDEX

This is great as i follow up some project during ICO's, Project like DARICO Ecosystem Coin (DEC) and i remember i bought some of the tokens from IDEX. Now Darico is doing well among the top 300 tokens by rank on coinmarketcap. So i have been able to double my DEC token as well as keep my profits during the bear market.

According to my personal statistics, only 5% of bounty campaigns give a lot of money, a lot is more than 5 thousand dollars.  :D There were several such projects in 2018 - crypterium, counting house and xyo. If I know in advance and devote all their energy to the bounty there - I would now get a nice private home.  But still I'm happy. Now it remains to wait until the ether "recovers".

I am thinking about starting trading because there are lot of professional traders that give you good signals when to buy and when to sell, even the market is crashing. So yes, traders are still in profit even market is falling.

Let's be honest here.

Yes.  What you say is true, but the fact is, most people don't have the time to keep track of their portfolios to the degree required in order to be as successful as you say you are.  Unless you have enough trading experience, ie., know how to set limits/stops, etc. most people will catch a break or two here and there, but most don't due to the extreme lack of liquidity in the crypto markets.

Then, if you run bounties constantly.  After six months, that is a lot of dates and potential dates to keep track of in order to execute your strategy successfully project after project.

You positive attitude is good, but I believe it is slightly misplaced.  People should learn how to trade in both markets as there is 'profit' to be made, but the size and current conditions of the crypto markets more resemble traditional fiat markets than anything else these days.  Ie., picking up pennies in front of a steam roller.

Once the masses start joining the fun though, then everyone's trade strategies will work, and that is really the whole purpose of crypto - to allow individuals to do what they feel is right with their wealth and not some centralized authority.  Until then, best of luck to all crypto-enthusiasts out there and their loved ones both now and long into the future.

Better that this strategies works for you. Yes instead of just waiting for the value to go up we can have another options because there is a lot of it in crypto. It is also necessary to learn more in it because making the right decisions matters.

i think this year is a bad year, the market is declining every day. many ico fail and if successful cannot maintain their quality in exchange. Worse, more and more ico projects are scamming and deceiving many investors. makes investors very difficult to trust ico, even though the ico is very good and can be trusted.

Amen to that man, I was checking my holding tokens lately and I found out I could have easily double and triple this tokens, trade on the tokens you are already holdings gives you a big advantage since you are already attached to it, and almost checking its price every day and this is a great advantage for you, anyway I learned that too late, but late is always better than never!

The method stated by the OP works a lot and i can boldly testify to that. Sometimes, when i have coin, in which i do not have enough of it, i would study it's trend while still in my wallet. Thereafter, i would then go to exchange to by more whenever i have noticed that the price has dumped. Do not wait until you see your token dump totally and at the end, it does not profit you.

As if I wasn't trying to make a profit in 2018, my Deposit in dollars decreased by 45% . But many of my colleagues, this figure was much more. Perhaps my income in the bounty managed to compensate for the loss. Although income was not so large as we would like.

This is very good advice for all participants of the Bounty as well as for investors, but they may not be suitable for everyone, because only a small part of people can trade. Most other people who have not had experience in trading before - may lose their investments as a result of being engaged in it.

Yeah thats right, instead of crying out and wait for the pump while markets are bleeding, why not to study and learn how to double your coins/tokens by means of trading, for me this idea is great, but it is very hard for me to study the trend and learn fast to earn profits, i tried to trade before but i dont know how where to start, so i loss the 50% of my assets and quit on trading, how sad isnt.?

To wait for the bull run market in this year is so difficult. I myself also don't believe that it will happen in this year. This year is full of the bear market condition. Getting profits in the bear market will always make us happy. However, we can see that the fact shows different. the fact shows that the dump market is still here. However, we can still make profits from this condition by making a daily-trading for the certain coins.

trading in the bearish market might also a good idea even though the risk is much higher but nothing we can do about it, we just need keep learning and  move forward on how to survive in this current situation.

I think when the condition of the Bear Market as it is today might profit from buying tokens because the price is very cheap. but in my opinion, there is still much profit when the market price conditions are high because we are easier to transact or buy coins according to good prices.

Correct, I tried day trading but that wasnt a succes.
So I just hold and invested in POS assets like ARK. So holding still gives me weekly airdrops. Not so much profit but always better then nothing.

You may be right about that but If someone want to use daily trade or like similar types things, Firstly he has to know a lot of things about this market and a lot of coins. Also if you face a unlucky time, You can lost big parts of your money so daily trade is not bad to gain money but if who wanna do this, he have to be carefull.

You should always start with small amounts until you get enough experience in this.

I started trading with small amounts. And I got success in some directions. Most of all I like to trade in one coin on different exchanges and play on a small difference in price. To do this, I hold coins on all the exchanges so as not to waste time transferring coins.

Its hard to study the market and it takes couples of month to study. Once you already how to read the market you can easily earn profit even we will face bear market. Trading is one of best way to earn income especially in the field of cryptocurrency but not all trader always earn income so you also need to study on how to become good trader.

I still see certain persons in my trading telegram group excited about the market and how much profit they are making and I wonder how smart they were to trade the bears. It is absolutely difficult making profit in bear season as it is very wrong to baghold when the market drops further after buying. I think that you are right, I am doing exactly the same thing, I think many are doing it now, I try to double something every time, and in such a market there are a lot of opportunities, so I never complain about the market. I like it when it is consistently low

Those who are always shouting HODL and never sell are not aware that the bear market can last for years.
Hodl is an option for sitting and waiting for year till the market trend changes.
Note, that during those years you will miss plenty of trading opportunities.

On the bearish market we can minimize the loss in value of our coins or even make profit. If you do not want to look your portfolio dying than trade or cash out in Fiat and come back the bears has gone.

I agree, it is indeed too risky to play when the market is like now, even though there is still a possibility to make a profit but the risk of loss is very large even though I know that everyone here understands the risk but actually no one is really ready to lose to wait until the market experiences a slight increase

This is and encouraging post but as it looks now, the market is so bad that even ETH have gone below $100 which makes it very difficult for me to earn some profits. But before now, i have been able to carry out some trade which worked for me but now the situation is quite different and i think i will have to wait a little bit before i can start trading again. Profit is not close in cryptocurrency sphere rather it is always alive whether the market turn upside and down. It is depends on what kind of coins you have, what kind of motivation you have, how are you prepared to take the risk at this bear condition. Trading and investing is still in the market that some (like you) have still decent profit. Besides, this is also the right time to buy and trade the potential coins.

You are absolutely right, but the number of ICOs that go directly to market after the completion of token sale is very low now because of the bear market, and if they went to market, they choose IDEX or HitBTC or other small exchanges. Instead, I prefer selling bounty rewards and buying other volatile coins.

I agree with you many people are still maximizing profit in this bear market.  What should be done first is to study the market and learn to buy at low price and sell at high price

My friend, you are thinking in the right direction. When I was just beginning to study the cryptocurrency market, I never ran into such advice, but I came to it myself. Actually bear market will only determine how long patience you need to wait, Coz number 1 you only sell coins if you get profit and not on a panic stages. I am aware of people around me that they are all selling their coins on this holy crap bear market. This is not a good sign to sell your coins unless you bought bitcoin when it was 100 bucks. but not on this type of bear market. YOu can earn on trading such as bitmex you can short it or bet on long candles depends on how you trade.

The only thing I see how to make profit in the bear market is what you've just said, to participate in the bounty. In this case, we can work in about 2 months while waiting for the market to be in good condition. At the same time, earning profit.

Aside from the bounty campaign which has already profitting the members of the forum ,the traders , which buy and sell immediately the tokens and coins might as well profit for this 2018 bear market season, the investors who previously buy cheaper coins , may also profits ,if they have dump their coins earlier as the bear market worsen so much.

Few month back i've already able to gain some profit through trading. But lately i've stop doing it so i can't generate any profit in this market condition.

I think the best way to earn this year is by trading on a short term basis. A lot of people has failed already because the market suddenly drops. There are a lot of opportunities to sell before the incident happened but they refused and let go of the opportunity (I am part of this). How come did you profit if you invest during 2017 ATH? Supposedly you bought 1btc during it's Ath with atleast 20k, even if you did managed to double or triple it the outcome will still be negative cause btc is now at 3700 same as with Eth and other altcoins. Maybe you bought not in 2017 so that's why you are able to gain profit cause if you do buy during ATH i cant think of how it is possible that you profit from it even you double or triple the coins that you have.

It looks like you were very lucky or talking about small amounts. It is true that small amounts are very easy to double, but it is quite different with larger amounts. Some tokens do not have a volume of even $1000 for a month, so I do not see any trading opportunities on them.

It is hard to believe but this have been working and I might consider myself also lucky to an extent. I bought DACC token on December 31st to January 3rd and price was at 2-3 SAT respectively. Now I am already in ×3 Profits as it have gone to 6-7 SAT already today. So this really depends on how much research you might have carried out with extreme knowledge before carrying out any trading activities. I hope it all gets better than this soonest.

To make a profit in a falling market is very difficult. But I think that experienced traders were able to make money on this.

Very true...many of us didn't think the bear would last this long. It is obvious that strategies need to be changed. Instead of just holding and waiting for a bull run, doubling bags or trading with some consistent profit is way better.

So many traders are trapped by speculators so crypto trading is not for everyone. Holding is good idea if you predict bear market cycle for next month/year but in bill trend things turn differently than we imagine. Doubling bags also carries risks that can be other way around.

For me, during 2018 is rather bad days, because most of the coins generating loses than profit. especially starting from the middle of 2018 where the price starting to fall rapidly.

2018 was a year of shit coins. Most coins were just pump and dump, you buy a bag at good entry point and when momentum rises a, you dump on people fomoing. Then cash out and go to the next available shit coin to repeat process. Daily trade is only possible when the market is stable not bullish. Big investors wont engage in daily trade because of the ordeals and large fund exchange but when bull market comes traders could lose funds and not recover if he didn't manage its portfolio fund well.
