Does anyone here remember the Xmas crash 2017? Are you ready to see another Xmas crash for 2018?
Get ready to buy cheaper coins very soon. The market started going down just like last year.
Do you think we'll see another Xmas crash for this year or this is just another fake dump?

Time will only tell that whether we will see the same crash like 2017 or we can see just a stable market with small ups and down. But what ever if it goes down i am ready to buy and if it is going up i am ready to sell as i have my buys in all dips and sell in all ups. This is the simple trading way.

It's been a long time since I've been on coinmarketcap and paid any attention to the rankings of the top 10, but good to see from your screenshot that EOS and BCH are dumping the hardest and slowly falling down the rankings. As much as I hate using marketcap as a statistic to rank coins by, since it can be completely artificial and manipulated, these two scam coins don't belong anywhere near the top 100, let alone the top 10.



The market didn't go down last year. This time last year (5th/6th/7th December) saw the price jump from 11k up to 17k. There was a dip in the couple of days leading up to Christmas day, but the price rallied again going in to January.

I don't know for sure, but it could happen as the last year. But if the crash occurs again, I am ready to buy because I will not see the low price back in the future. I already visit coinmarketcap, and I see the market cap has an increase, and I hope it gives impact to the price soon. And in the market itself, all of the coins still up and down and it seems, the coins trying to break the higher rate. Meanwhile, I was shocked Factom can increase slowly while the other coin is up and then down again. I wonder what will happen later at the end of this year and I hope that many coins can reach the highest price again.

Yes, maybe the market will crash before or during Christmas because i think a lot of people will sell their coins for cash money to spend them for gifts or for what they want to buy for Christmas and this can bring a crash but no one know how much the crash will be.

you are confusing a small correction during the rally of  the December 2017 with a "drop".

in fact every year when we get closer to holiday season, both Christmas and then the Chinese new year, people start speculating about a drop that never happens. sometimes we have a tiny drop which can be simple fluctuations and nothing else because nobody sells bitcoin because of holidays!

An xmas dump took place early this year, it can't go down much further without any serious fud. The battle for hashes is ending and with the new bitmain gear being released the difficulty will go back up again

Ethereum just get below $100 this afternoon and I think is heading toward $50. The market is in serious bearish condition and we should be able to invest now that is if you have some risk capital.  Those that were not scared when bitcoin get dumped to $10 in 2011 and were able to buy in large quantity are the one that are really making money from cryptocurrencies market.
I believe that blockchain technology is transparent and decentralized and that makes it to be the future and if you are able to invest now, in two to three years to come, you will be in money.
actually, last year,  from on 14 December,  cryptocurrencies market takes a retracement and I believe the samething is about to happen.  Christmas time has been selling time in the history of cryptocurrencies market and we should expect more dump this year as the market has been in oversold area.

Even though bitcoin will have a more severe accident, but it won't be the end of bitcoin, and I believe that in the future there will be an opportunity for bitcoin to jump high.

Unfortunately, but the Christmas period is very dangerous for investing. Most people do not think about making money just for spending money on gifts for family and friends. A lot of money disappears from the market and prices are falling. I am afraid that this will be the moment when the BTC price will fall below $3000.

There is no need to exaggerate. If you have to sell coins or stocks to buy gifts and whatnot for the holidays, you obviously used money that shouldn't have been invested in the first place.

Another thing is that we have gone down so much already, that the speculators I referred to above have likely sold already. If the price happens to go down around that period, it will purely be a continuation of the downtrend we're in.

I remember a thread on reddit earlier this year, the point basically was that the correction that followed after reaching $19,500 was purely caused by Asian traders selling to buy gifts for Chinese new year. It really boggles my mind that people continue to believe this nonsense. After Chinese new year they blamed regulators for the price to go down, then social media ad bans, etc.

Yeah, price action is way too weak here. Every time bulls try to paint a reversal, it gets fully retraced and we bleed further down. This kind of slow bleeding usually precedes a crash to new lows.

I'm not sure the market will wait for Christmas. It looks almost ready for capitulation now. Maybe we don't need to wait until January to find the bottom.

This Christmas might not be a merry one for crypto investors, short term investors have badly affected by the downfall. Yes BTC is nearing 3k now is not a good sign for cryptocurrency, hodling coins is safe now as the market is really bad Now.

Crash on 2017? is that the bull run that made everyone purchase bitcoin, etc? Maybe you are talking about that dip during Christmas of 2016, I've seen it wasn't so good as last year.

I'm prepared for anything this Christmas but it will be better if we've got some good action by that time so I can buy some gifts.  ;D

I would second this too... Old statistics doesn't means it will happen again in fiture without doubt, the negative atmosphere we create around bitcoin will cause fall. When we popularize and very often talk about winter crash and etc, other people think too oh, if it will fall, then I have to sell as soon as possible and this becomes massive. Let's try and make positive impact.

Hopefully there will be no price dumping, at the end of the year there are usually significant crashes. But there is still hope for an increase in prices. What we have to do is to give positive sentiment, in my opinion that with such a thing, the level of public trust in Bitcoin will gradually increase. We all have to support and we will all get good results.

Its not normal, because as I know every December and January bitcoin price is good and bring big amount of money for all crypto supporters specially to all bitcoin users, but now all coins in the crypto world is going down.

I`m sad but I need to convert my bitcoin to cash this month that is why I`m ready to see real money from the crypto world even the price of crypto are not good.

Another dip is more likely will happen, I am now confessed more than before that the price will remain like this until at least Feb, there is still small chance that we can see a surprise Bullrun in December but it becomes less every day after the other. Well, I think we all know that it is not matter what we think or predict because Bitcoin will probably do the totally different thing.

Give it up for a bull run dude. I don't see any reason how that could happen unless whales decide to manipulate a pump, which is unlikely since they should've done so by now. Pin your hopes for next year 😇

My current situations was very different from last year that even it was inversely proportional because Christmas last year bitcoin price was very high and i got very decent profit at that time but this year probably i still buy bitcoin but to get profit from bloody market it is quite difficult but ready or not we have to face another upcoming crash

I really do not want that to happen, but I'm preparing myself in the case it does, unfortunately for me I do not really have enough money to take advantage of that movement in the market if it happens so what I will do like many people in the forum is to just hold my coins and wait until the market calms down and see how low the speculators are able to crash the price.
