Friends, do you use physical (hardware) wallets? Which wallets are better, hot or cold? What devices do you use?

From the link above you can find out desktop/hardware/mobile/web wallet. I think almost all good wallet is present there.

Don't store all your funds in one basket, divide them. I personally use 3: trezor; electrum; mycelium but ofc trezor is my main where most monies are in. Hardware wallets are worth the money, I would recommend either trezor or ledger nano S (too bad you missed the black friday sale).

Hot or cold terms is defined by the way you use your wallet. If wallet is always connected to network then it is called hot wallet and if it is offline then it is called cold wallet.
It is not advisable to keep large amount in hot wallet. Just put amount needed for operations in hot wallet and refill the hot wallet with your cold wallets.
 

it depends on your usage. if you are trading like your username suggests then you can't store your bitcoins in a cold storage such as paper wallet because then you have to sweep it multiple times a week and create a new one each time you do that which is exhausting and near impossible to perform correctly when repetition is involved. so you need to find an alternative way that you can have the access while not using a hot wallet. so your option is a hardware wallet if you want to spend the money to buy one. if not then you have to do it yourself, for example i have installed Linux on a USB disk with network disabled and with encryption and i have my cold storage there on Electrum with its seed backed up on a piece of paper.

I'll always recommend a hardware wallet to store your coins,despite the fact it could be expensive but it's worth every penny.

Whichever suits you, it's highly safer than other forms of wallet as its somewhat immune to malwares and breaches of your device

Most cases for keeping coins safe is to buy wallets like trezor. It is also true that choosing wallets depends on the usage of whether you are trading which needs to transfer out and back to wallet or keeping your coins when you are planning to hold your own coins. I'm sure you can choose between the wallets base on what you do.

I depend on what coin do you wanna store. I personally prefer Ledger Nano S. Because it has a good security and easy to use. And also Ledger Nano S supports multiple coins. You can check out more from their official website.

I'm old school and sort of paranoid. I've never used a hardware wallet but I've heard good things about Trezor and Ledger.

I use a combination of wallets. My cold storage is kept on encrypted Core .dat files that are stored on multiple mediums. For day-to-day spending, I use an Electrum offline wallet scheme (http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/coldstorage.html) where I keep all private keys offline.

I use hardware wallet, cold wallet, online wallet, software wallet and mobile wallet.
Why? They all have different uses.

I use to store my tokens in private key supported web-like as Myetherwallet. But a few days ago I have ordered a hardware wallet Ledger nano S. It will be a new experience for me. Just waiting for that.

Yes, you will enjoy it. though I have not used it yet I have seen its feature. You can hold maximum currency in one place. So, it can be better than any other.

There are too many wallets out there but I would love to suggest you hardware wallet. If you want to make sure to keep your assets and private keys safe and sound then you should buy Ledger Nano S or Trezor the best wallet ever I have used. A little bit costly but very secured.

As hot wallet i use blockchain.com wallet, that is the easy way and i can access my coins almost anywhere. And for cold wallet i like paper wallets.

To create a paper wallet you can use vanity gen. Generate the addy and print the private key. Then send the coins you want to that wallet. If you want to access those coins you only need to import the private key to a wallet and you will be able to spend that coins.

This depends for your needs, if you travel a lot and want a fast way to pay with crypto coins you can use a mobile wallet, mycelium, blockchain.info app, but if you want to store and hold for long i think the best option is hardware wallet. I use ledger nano and for me is the best option and never had any problem with.

While I agree there're many wallets in the market, I feel if you're a beginner Electrum wallet is the one you should choose. What I like about Electrum is it's simple and easy to operate, it automatically calculates fees gives you seed, keys and changes addresses too. I have been using electrum wallet for quiet a while, and never encountered any problem, only if you're planning to store a huge volume of bitcoins then go for Trezor.

You can use it without any problem. But as you are a bitcointalk user you know about sign message. Now a message if you use your mentioned site then you will not be able to verify your signature.
