Hi,

I have no experience short selling but I debate shorting now. Good idea? Anyone with experience? BTC seems overbought...

There is no accurate technical analysis in cryptos my friend. Anything can happen to the BTC price in the next 24 hours. It's purely based on hope, manipulation and speculation.
Luckily the BTC price is now volatile once again. Just notice the sudden deeps, Where the price seems to have settled up a bit is where you make an entry and set your sell target( not so high of course) To me 2-5% gains is enough in this bearish market because if you try to be greedy, You will loose everything.
Also never forget to set a stop-loss in case the price doesn't rise to your expectation.

trading as no guarantee if you invest money by thinking then you will definitely lose , we should invest money by analyzing and by calculating risks if you think that markets will go even low who know this might be the  bottom and you will risk your investments

BTC seems overbought...
Overbought when the price has already crashed from $20,000 to $3200?  Dude, you seriously need to reevaluate your definitions of financial terms.  At this point I'd consider bitcoin oversold, and if you sell it short now you might be in for a hell of a lot of pain and anxiety.  You might make money doing so if it were to fall to something like $2000 and you shorted a significant amount of it, but I would suggest doing the exact opposite.  Now is the time to buy in my opinion.  Smart traders generally don't begin their short-selling when an asset has already taken an extreme beating unless they're fairly confident that what they're shorting is doomed.

Sears stock would have been smart to short when it was at $10, because it was clear to everyone that the company was headed for bankruptcy, and when it was at that price it had already fallen by a huge amount.  But bitcoin?  Nah, now's not the time to sell it short.  It's not headed for zero like most of the shitcoins--and remember, when you sell something short, your losses are limited only by how high the price can go.  If bitcoin suddenly rebounded and headed toward a new ATH, you'd be totally screwed and would have to cover your short position as soon as you could and you'd be doing it at an enormous loss.  Just don't do it.

Reset your priorities in this bearish market, and try for a second to take your mind off earning huge profits, itll help you ease the tension and the anxiety that comes with this period in the market..

If you bought for 5000 or so, if you sell now you'll be losing about 1800,its so much of a loss, if you hodl on,it could drop further meaning if you sell then you'll lose more than you'll lose now..

But the fact still remains you'll lose, isnt it clear now as its been said a thousand times already that the most rational step to take now is to be patient and hodl, and even purchase more bitcoins now it's a wee bit cheap.

When the market is on the red zone, better to stay still and watch the market responses.
I think the downtrend will keep happening until the end of the year and will start growing up new year 2019
But if you're really observant, you can earn profit in short term , it's just a matter of guts and luck !

Short-term trading will now be a wise decision. When the market suddenly falls and the price of these altcoins suddenly becomes cheaper, the price of these small altcoins will be easy to grow. We should invest in the new altcoins listed on the floor to get more profit. The new altcoins are often pumped very strongly.

Overbought can already be considered just looking up on the price history of Bitcoin itself came from ath and to this current price.Overbought if we do based on MACD
on technical aspects but I don't know how this analysis to be valid yet it doesn't even shows on 70 line. What settings you do put on?

Its obvious that you are a newbie in trading because you don't know what overbought means. You are saying that BTC is overbought at this moment where in fact it is oversold. If Bitcoin is overbought, the RSI must be on the top but now its not. Its in the fucking below of the below of the below.

Anyway, shorting at this kind of market is somewhat risky because you don't know when the Bitcoin goes down or goes up and it is more stressful in my opinion because I tried it.

Shorting now seems like a huge huge risk. Most people around here think we might see a bottom soon. Even if we don't see a true bottom I'd expect to see some sort of dead cat bounce. BTC seems like it will recover at some point so opening a short on something that is bullish long term is risky business. Shorting at 10k or 6k was a much better option than now.

If you short Bitcoin start from when you create this thread until now you will make a lot of money.  But will be profitable to shorting by make deposit in USD and not any crypto because if the balance in crypto the amount will increase but the value will be going down.  To shorting BTC is good in regulated broker.  But for now BTC seem oversold and is better to long in crypto exchange without margin.

Seriously ? This clearly shows how OP and anyone who agrees with OP doesn't know trading at all. Shorting while something is already down 80%+ is insane, why would you start shorting now. It is exactly like buying leveraged longs while we were in 20 thousand dollar levels.

It makes no sense at all to short it when the price is so low. I am not saying buy longs or even buy but if you think bitcoin is going down just stay at fiat for a while until you decide its time to buy but do not risk your money shorting bitcoin when its already this low, the most likely scenario is you will lose a lot of money because of it.

This is exact opposite time to short since the price is not really good for going too much down, it may go down only a bit but it won't go down too much like it did in all of 2018.

You want to trade with short waves. You should trade with trading pairs with USDT with a time frame of 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes. Look at the MA and MACD lines to predict the direction of the price with the short method. Besides looking at 2h, 4h, 12h time frames to predict future trends.

Set 2-5% profit and exit when you feel unsafe.

I believe that they are some people that follow this advice you have given and many of them have made some serious money from the market.  It is a good strategy to short when you know that the market is really going down.  Most of those that learn how to hedge when bitcoin was high and there was believed and evidence that bitcoin is going to fall through out 2018 have made Alot of money from the market.  Remember that what you know is what put money into your pocket.

Short-term is indeed a fairly profitable trading method, but most of us sometimes have difficulty using several pumps in the market.

Profitable if they really well adept on how the price moved or well verse in reading graphs or have some sort of experience of Technical Analysis.

I also speculate that speculators has also evolved shorting not just bitcoin but the rest of the coins in this bearish market. Just imagine buying when the price is $3200 and selling it at $4200 last December makes sense.

But we also have to take into account the risk involved. If you have a faint of heart then shorting might not be the one for you though. Also the greed factor must be controlled as well.

Not fot btc though. Many people who went in negative are the ones who shorted. I think it takes extensive experience and knowledge of the market to be efficient in shorting. Definitely not for me.

My advice is that you just have to sell it if its price is high. Do mot every panic sell a cryptocurrency you hold if you know you are short from it.

It's absolutely not as simple as shorting every bounce or upwards movement anymore- I did see comments like this on a Bitcoin trading subreddit a few months back, but with the many "lightsaber-like" (example here (click here) (https://i.gyazo.com/db64643d3aa053e42b02afd8a9bd6649.png)) patterns coming up on the 1- and 5-minute graphs on exchanges like Bitfinex and Bitmex that are designed to weed out leveraged traders on both longs and shorts, it's easy to lose your money on a leveraged long or short. That doesn't mean it's not possible to make a profit shorting anymore, but you should take caution in your trades more than ever now.

Good idea, but its really not advisable to do if you have no experience before since the prices can keep dumping or bumping without any signal even so you have to be ready for losing your money to make more or lost of money.

It`s good idea, only thing you need to have is perfect timing to get out and get in again when price drops. It works sometimes, sometimes not, what is important is to have some back up, in case price moves in other direction. Trading is all about timing, perfect trade is when you buy or sell in the right time (perfect buy is before price rise, perfect sell is just before price drop). It`s all about risking too, you don`t catch that right time all the time, you make mistakes that costs, that`s learning, think of it like paying for knowledge.

I always found it fascinating how people even at current levels have the balls to short Bitcoin or any other crypto currency. I get it that you can set stop loss targets, but they mostly hover 1-2% above the entry price.

With how volatile the market organically is, your stop loss will very likely be triggered and you end up with no profits, even if the price ends up tanking hard afterwards. That's not trading, but straight gambling in my opinion....

The only thing you are doing is open position after position hoping that you will end up with more winning than losing trades. Technical analysis may give you an edge, but it's still a calculated guess.

With less experience on trading i don't think OP would make it even just to get in and if he gets in his problem now is how to get out. Talking about of a perfect timing which is not really helpful because no one can execute a perfect timing, there is no such thing as perfect in this world.

OP might lose a lot of money trying to fit in with less experience, it might be better if he would just slowly give it a shot and not just shoot them all the way.

That's what happens when you over-leverage your trades. I stick with 2-5x (mostly 2x) in order to have my trades become more profitable, even if it takes days or weeks for me to make profit. I don't chase quick profits, which is where most people go wrong and therefore over-leverage every trade. Anything above 10x is playing with fire, especially here in crypto where the market is extremely volatile already.

Another mistake is that people focus on one single trade, so they either gain or lose, while they could open a new position to benefit from a short term opportunity without affecting their other trades. It's just a matter of logical thinking, but considering how people aren't shy of using 50-100x leverage counts, there is no sense to utilize. Bitmex like platforms have been turned into casinos. ::)

This is time for buying and definitely not for going on shorting way of trading. I always recommend to go for bitcoins with long term plans and with shorting you cannot plan up for longer term. We must buy now as bitcoin market may start rising up in the near future and even it will fall down then also we must buy so that we can sure about no missing all the possible lower prices. But, many people started speculating about new ATH which might be possible within this year.

I honestly don't know why people are beginning to talk about shorting when we are 80% down from ATH. It's the same stupidity that leads people to buy coins that went up by 300% in the recent month. There's always a small chance your short will play out but if we aren't at the bottom yet we will soon be. Don't get too greedy people!

At some point you should expect people to follow common sense and to see where they go wrong, but nope, they keep burning themselves chasing quick profits. This market literally trashes these folks.

A colleague of mine was EXTREMELY bullish weeks before the price tanked below $6000 and now suddenly thinks Bitcoin is going to fall to $1500 because "experts" said so. Smh.....
There was a one man on reddit (possibly you know too) who put his house in bank and bought bitcoins when price was almost 20K, imagine what he did, how much he risked and that was due to no knowledge.
Those proposals from "experts" is very funny too, if we follow them, then we will lose all of our money. Persons who talk a lot of bullshit are called experts nowdays.

That's was a big mistake, he got FOMO at best, I think he likes to follow Changpeng Zhao, CEO of business who sold his house and get successful in crypto. It could actually be possible, however is timing is very wrong, Changpeng Zhao bought bitcoin during the early stage when he sees the potential, but the man in your example bought during the peak, I wonder how he live his life now, I hope he is okay.

Doing short term on this condition of the market isn't safe especially if you're a beginner because growth rate of market as of now is so volatile and very  risky as well  because of being unpredictable . If you want to paly right now make sure you have specific strategy and enough knowledge to prevent regrets!

"Overbought and "oversold" are words used without meaning unless they are accompanied by relevant analysis, either technical or fundamental.
Just because an instrument or asset has fallen (even a long way) in value doesn't make it oversold, or vice versa.
Traditional fundamental analysis was developed for financial instruments like stocks and shares and relies largely on comparative P/E ratios to provide a quantitative overview. Some people, me included, find it difficult to apply fundamental analysis to crypto.
Technical definitions of these terms are mathematically based and involve the use of tools such as RSI with confirmation from other indicators.
Here's a couple of 101 primers

Who ever decided to short yesterday has been liquidated. Price went up, like always shorter`s stayed short this time, and people can continue to read all kind of things and try all kind of strategies but in the end its just a market that is going up and down. To trade you need to have a back up, and if you have a back up for your back up you will be more comfortable.
Assets are always going up and down, will you earn or lose from your trades depends of your knowledge about the market itself, about the players, about the potential future, and many other things, think it in a way like this the more you know about it, it will be easier for you to handle with it, what ever that is!

If that can easily be seen then we may be rich now. Or I wont be sharing it first and will get myself some loads of cash before I tell it to anyone.

It aint that easy to foretell the future so you will just need to guess and risk. You could short it anytime you want but you wont know what tomorrow will be. Maybe you can make profit out of it or maybe not. Asking too much will not help. At the end of the day, it will still be your own decision.

One funny thing here is that it is full of uncertainties, and therefore you know not the next line of market action. What do you do? Always go in with a plan whether shorting for long or shorting for immediate gains. But I beg to differ that BTC is not overbought, it is oversold instead.

Aside from a mathematical analysis there's also common sense. There are questions you can ask yourself before investing like:
-is it performing its role, is it working?
-does it have fundamental flaws?
-what is public interest, do people like the idea?
-did it change for better or for worse in the last year?

Now, take 2 periods in time, one in the very early bull market and one now, in the end of the bear market, and decide if it was better or worse back then. At the time when people were paying more for it than they are paying now. Like when Bitcoin was trading for 4k USD in 2017. Was Bitcoin faster, more popular back then, or maybe it is faster and more popular now?

In my opinion in August 2017 it was much slower, less popular, had much more issues and bugs that were patched in a later date, and there was much less exchanges, ATMs and so on, but people were willing to pay 4k USD for it. If the value at that point was objectively calculated, and it might have been because we haven't been in a hype phase yet, it should be worth more today. If an 85% discount isn't enough to make people think of buying something, nothing is.

I haven't heard of that yet, but it's horrible for sure. Average joes aren't capable of making investment decisions, and we are being presented the evidence of that in the most brutal way.

These are usually the people who look up to experts a lot, and back in 2017 when everything kept going up these experts were right all the time, which for average joes might have been the reason to trust their opinions.

At least, those who got burned will likely not make the same mistake again. If they play it well, the next bull run will be where they sell into rathet than buy into. We all started as a noob and improve as time goes by.

Yeah, whether you trade short or long you are still vulnerable and in trading losing is normal. Of course its good for us to be ready for the possibility of losing because you took the risk of trading. Your trading skills is also important, you can make a lot of profit in short trade if you have it.

Looking at current TA and FA's like Bakkt and other news its not the time to setup a huge short. If this question was in June/July 2018 then definitely it was a YES.

Fundamental Analysis:
2019 has not started with a not-so-bad note as the master is slowly taking off. A couple of days back in a Forbes article by Charles Bovaird, it was mentioned that Bitcoin could experience further gains once it reaches above $4,000, according to sentiment data and analysis.  Even NASDAQ, the second largest stock exchange in the world has also vowed to launch Bitcoin futures in the first half of 2019. It is going to start on a good note as the digital assets platform, Bakkt is going to get introduced. Bakkt has already raised $182.5 million and is supported by 12 partners including Pantera Capital, Boston Consulting Group, Galaxy Digital and many more. The owners of Galaxy Digital, the Winklevoss brothers recently stated in the Aske Me Anything(AMA) session that Bitcoin is the most likely winner in the long term.

Technical Analysis:

Refer Charts: https://www.tradingview.com/chart/XBTUSD/zcWogG4z-BITCOIN-LONG-TERM-VIEW/
Scenario 1: Bullish (Uptrend)

If BTC close above $3650 Daily and the weekly frame shows a reversal pattern (Green Engulfing candle) we might enter at these levels ($3600) with a target around $4000+ which eventually might restest Resistance Zone ($4400-$5400) in the coming weeks.

Scenario 2: Bearish (Downtrend)

If BTC couldn’t break the previous support ($3600) turned resistance in the coming weeks then there are two Bounce(rebound) zone for Bullish reversal ranging from $1800-$2400 and $896-$1200 for coming weeks and month.

Now, we have reached the last segment of our analysis where we will mention the news and event analysis

Institutional bodies are getting interested in cryptocurrencies. One such example is the U.S. state of Ohio accepting tax payments. Merchants like Overstock, eGifter, Expedia, Shopify accept Bitcoins as payments and several people are testifying on social media how they purchased goods and services with cryptocurrencies such as BTC , ETH, and BNB.
The supply of Bitcoin is finite and limited to 21 Million hence the demand is not going down. Second, that the number of Bitcoins generated per block is set to decrease by 50% every 210,000 blocks. For example, if today each miner receives 12.5 Bitcoins for solving (mining) a block, after the next halving event they will receive only 6.25 BTC and so forth.
2018 was filled with rumors of institutional investors buying into cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin . Several times, the Bitcoin ETF has been rejected in 2018. But recently an SEC commissioner has started a Bitcoin ETF is definitely possible. In 2019, NASDAQ is going to work with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to launch Bitcoin futures in the first quarter of 2019.
Conclusion

While bull and bear markets are nothing new in the financial world and Bitcoin has been through the bear cycle before and recovered well from it with given time. Bitcoin is here to stay, it’s worth exploring the drops in value and equally fast recovery the currency has experienced. History shows that the top cryptocurrency has sustained much more rapid losses during a shorter period of time over the course of the past several years, and has not discouraged long-term investors.

Do not conclude for a short or long just because the market is bearish since past few months. Read, understand, ask, try Test-net and other tools. Have your own strategy, paper trade on using your strategy. Work on your strategy and improve it. At the end of the its your hard earning so please be more specific before taking any action.

That is a very good idea. Long-term investment at the moment will be a risky decision and we may suffer losses.
I think our market needs more than 4 years to recover and grow again. Buying BTC now and holding in the long term will be a big disadvantage because we will waste a lot of time.
Currently our market still has instability and we should make use of it to trade and make a lot of money.

Learning to keep your cool at any point is one good thing to learn and master, don't panic sell when the price drops abd don't be overexcited when the price increases. Shorting is not an easy thing, it can get real bad and you might lose a great part of initial capital. Shorting at this point is not really advisable, the market is just sinking and no good signs of a reversal.

Short trade now good profitable if you have minimum 1 BTC plus. Without good investment you will not get enough/good profit. I think at this time 1 BTC is good for getting profitable money by short trading. Trading is powerful if had proper knowledge.
Why do we need minimum 1BTC for shorting ? Are you talking about leveraged trading ? I never suggest such a thing because it is purely gambling as you will be thrown out of trading when the direction of market will be going against you even just for a short duration too. Most probably market is at it bottom right now, hence sorting now is not at all recommended unless otherwise bitcoin will be breaking and holding below $3000 levels.

Shorting is not an easy thing, it can get real bad and you might lose a great part of initial capital. Shorting at this point is not really advisable, the market is just sinking and no good signs of a reversal.
When there is no sign of reversal then shorting is a good way to make money ? I did not get your point. Market had already sunk a lot hence it may go sinking further or will make a reversal. Need to wait for some more time to get clear idea on where market is heading.

Many people use short term period strategy to keep their asset has income and I think that is good idea. Long term period strategy can make you lost patience and asset in big value but short term term will give you result and experience in 1 - 2 days. Bitcoin looks bad but can survive but I see eth and xrp more promised than btc, they have more significant price action that can be use to make money. See their history and trends, never forget your stop loss and follow your own rules.

The major take on this is that crypto trading is full of surprises and your plans go to shit in seconds

first always be ready to risk what you can lose!!

yes you can make good money also you can lose lots of money
Yeah, whether you trade short or long you are still vulnerable and in trading losing is normal. Of course its good for us to be ready for the possibility of losing because you took the risk of trading. Your trading skills is also important, you can make a lot of profit in short trade if you have it.
Thats right, you can make big profits in the short term, you can also lose big amount in the short term, everything depends on you in managing it. first your knowledge and skills greatly influence the results, the greater your knowledge, the greater the chance to win in short term or long term

Shorting is not as easy as you think. Some people I knew lost lots of money because they bought BTC at like $16K. When it hit $6K in June 2018 they became bears and started shorting. However they basically made no money because they kept shorting, covering at a loss thinking the bear market was done and then when it went down again, they reshorted again at $6K and again took a loss when it looked like it was going to go up.

Then in Sept/Oct they gave up thinking it would trade sideways forever or go up and then November came which would of been the perfect time to short and they weren't in a position.

In general its difficult making money in bear markets or sideway markets. Whether its stock or Crypto. The bull markets are usually very easy to trade.

trading as no guarantee if you invest money by thinking then you will definitely lose , we should invest money by analyzing and by calculating risks if you think that markets will go even low who know this might be the  bottom and you will risk your investments
in trading profit and loss it is a risk. if we are afraid of risk then do not trade, but we can find ways to minimize the risk of loss, one of which we can make observations and do some simulations, because if we can master the bitcoin price movements then our chances of losing can not occur.
second, don't risk too much money because we never know that it will happen at a price in the future, if we are not so sure we can use a little money.

LOL, if you don't have the experience to back it up then I suggest you stay away. You will hear a lot of traders shorting, but it doesn't mean that they're taking profits like every other days. It takes years of experience to short, so it's not easy as it sounds. BTC overbought? Where did you get that idea that it's overbought at this juncture?

I'll just advise you to really learn how trading works, it looks like you don't have any idea base on how you describe Bitcoin market though. You need to understand what shorting really means and the risk involved on doing it, IMHO.

Probably you are targeting for $100+ kind of big movements but in my experience shorting is nothing different from usual long way of trading. If you notice on daily high and low value of one cryptocurrency, then you will get idea where to sell first and where to book profits. This is how we need to short and do you still think that it is too difficult from usual way of trading ?

Due to fundamentals of must cryptocurrencies, we cannot be sure about when the market will bounce toward ATH. This is the reason why shorting way of trading is not at all recommended. I guess, in last year many traders might have got big profits as market showed them big down way movements and making use of selling first and buying later might have been easier to do.

That will be a successful step for you. but the lack of experience in trading will be a major disadvantage. Buy low and sell high now is popular and it can help you profit up to $ 500 per day. But you need to have trading experience and understand how the market works. knowledge is still essential and you need to cultivate more to start a new step.

Please understand that short-term trading is completely different from shorting way of trading. OP is here referring shorting which is basically based on "sell first and buy later" whereas usual way of trading is "buy first and sell later".

the lack of experience in trading will be a major disadvantage. Buy low and sell high now is popular and it can help you profit up to $ 500 per day.
$500 or any small or big level profits are purely based on how big your capital and how versatile you are with trading. You cannot make big profits from both buy-low-sell-high or shorting way of trading if you do not have big capital. But, big capital may work for you only when you are fully aware of how to trade without big losses. Here, you must notice that, making profits is secondary but preventing losses must be the primary goal for sustaining in trading. Once you are able to sustain then you can keep making profits easily.

You know what? Based on my experience as I tried to predict the price of the BITCOIN, technical analysis usually don't work. It is really hard to predict the market and the for me cryptocurrency market is more of gambling. You have to bet for unexpected rise and lows for you to win. You always need to risk your coins because there are no accurate predictions here. And also, overbought is not the right term as we consider it as oversold. Do not a short shell, you will end up very disappointed. Being optimistic is nice but being too optimistic will give you depression.

If you are not good at it, don't even try. Trading at this kind of market situation is risky. Even if you say you signed up to those signal groups that provides information on what coin will be pumped next is not a good idea as the information that will be given to you is delayed, by the time you bought a coin, they are in the process of selling.

I also think that day trading is really good but only for those who are having good knowledge and information about day trading. There is so much profit in day trading same as long term trading but don’t give up with short term change in price just hope for the best and know the basics of day trading moreover it’s full of profit too chose a good coin.

The fact is that in the market going down from the beginning of 2018 until now, trade following the market trend is always profitable. I think from now until Lunar New Year, the BTC price will still decrease, we can short.

When it comes to the short option, there must be some indication from the market that it is going to fall for sure. It doesn't make any sense to randomly put chips on the table and blindly select the prediction. I have seen experienced investors also losing the money while the bearish market is in its full swing. Such a situation won't allow much freedom as the market keeps fluctuating in particular price band.

Read the trend is the most important analysis before enter the market and suggest you to do that, short/ long strategy it doesn't matter just read the trend first, agree?

But, you cannot ignore the fact that crypto trading is completely different from other types of trading. Because, it is proven that buying and holding is profitable always whereas no other type of trading is not providing this kind of promises. By considering these, I believe shorting will be never profitable in crypto trading because you are just trading against the basis and nature of cryptos. Hence, there will be no point of debating about trading the trend here.

You can make money only on it despite of the situation unless if you have very certain strategy with it or an expert mentor to avoid losses or risky situation.  Well if you don't have that or even a experience stop dreaming that you can make money in short term !
A well tested strategy or trading under mentors will be helpful for any trader to make money for any kind of market situations not just especially for down trend market conditions. I mean to say there will be no special skill is needed for shorting but it is same as for all market conditions.

Quote
hold instead to prevent regrets for the safety of your money.
Holding is a proven way of making easy money with crypto trading and this must be the right time to buy more for the sole purpose of holding for long term. Hope many people are making use of this current downfall situation of crypto space.

Waiting Bitcoin to grow by 2x from its current price is considered as investing. If you're really strategic enough and you have knowledge in trading, it's better to use your BTC while you're waiting it to multiply by two so that you can still make profit even if it's moving in sideways pattern.

But when I read his post on the first page about "short," I only think about the margin trading which is very difficult to trade if we only have less knowledge. I might suggest to OP to learn more about trading, and then start to do basic trading until he understands how to get the right price. And when he already knows that, then he can move into margin trading but only use small money for learning margin trading. I would agree if he were only saving his bitcoin without trading because that is the safest way he can do right now if he doesn't have information at all.

Day trading is not always short term trading. But short term trading is sometimes day trading. Short term trading can be in a span of hour to 1 week.

And if you'll do day trading, it is not advisable for you to do that especially now. It's because the market isn't stable right now. If it is, then you can do that more often.

I can't say for sure that you will make a lot of money all the time from short selling, but it can actually give you money.

This is the trick I make use of and it always work all of the time, I trade between normal crypto coin like btc with stable coins like tether, once I see that there is going to be a dump in the price of a coin even if it's little, I immediately swap from that coin to tether and then swap back when the dip has happened already thereby giving me profit.

I hate shorting the market, especially exchanges with leverage or future contracts.  Looks like you are eager to earn 'lots of money' as the title of your thread says, then it is okay shorting the market. Longing or shorting the market is the same profits, it depends on how will you plan your trade, planning your entry price, exit price and most important, the stop loss.

Also never forget to set a stop-loss in case the price doesn't rise to your expectation.

it could be truth though why not to trade it?

Well not really a bad decision. It really depends if the person trading is experienced enough to actually make profits from shorting. I know a lot of people can't seem to grasp that concept and a lot also who are making good money out of it.

Hi,

I have no experience short selling but I debate shorting now. Good idea? Anyone with experience? BTC seems overbought...
I think you should buy coins for exchanges. now many IEO projects are being implemented and the coins of exchanges are being welcomed by many investors. Big exchanges like BNB, Huobi, Okex, Bibox, are being bought and hold by investors. surely its price will increase from 20-25%.

This is the great revival most of us have been waiting for and for now, it is really working and building lots of confidence of investors back with the projects being funded through exchanges IEO.

Most of these coins  started showing signs of increase the moment they are launched and bought but I don’t think we have so many projects being listed because I can only count four that Binance being the biggest exchange has already carried out successfully, though I have not checked other exchanges you have mention, Binance is the major exchanges I have been using from onset for my exchanges and holdings.

It is better to commit funds in these exchanges IEO than short selling.
