Title: Afin wallet
Post by: cline1903 on December 11, 2018, 03:43:27 PM
Anyone know Afin ( Asian Fintech ) Wallet ? this wallet is like a credit card and this price is $60. Is this wallet safe enough like ledger nano or another hardware wallet ? Can anyone give me some video how to use it ?

I haven't heard of Afin before and it looks like they just finished their ICO. The card reminds me of the Ledger unplugged that was released last year unfortunately it was discontinued due to several problems. Here's their setup video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZhbLtPlU5I), it's probably going to be the same on Afin's wallet but with their own app. It could be safe like the ledger and the other hardware wallets but it might not be worth the $60. You should wait for someone to review it or wait for feedbacks before buying their wallet.

No but I like the concept though. It looks like the Afin company is also a mining farm...

From the looks of it, its newly released so you can't find any reviews about it and most importantly, its not open source so who knows whats in there.

If you're willing to pay $60, just buy yourself a ledger nano S, its currently 30% off so the price diff isn't much. Not to mention, it is peer reviewed and reputable unlike that afin wallet.

Are you referring to this AFin Keywallet? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taW3Dib9RnI)

I don't know, I haven't heard this wallet before, so it looks like it's fairly new. Are for being safe, I would say its hard to gauge so I'm still getting a hardware wallet like Ledger and Nano and wouldn't trust anything new yet.
