Title: New to crypto trading - Is now the time to get in?
Post by: Clairvoyant on December 17, 2018, 08:38:30 AM
Hi all.  When the hype was at its peak about a year ago, clearly this attracted a lot of people.  I waited and watched.  Would love to hear views on if this is a good time to start looking at BTC and alts.

Also, have seen a few accounts that offer services (VIP signals etc).  Presumably some of these are better than others.... if so, what have been your experiences?  Thanks.

I would advise against any newbies trying to trade in this current market. It may be a good time to invest but it's not a good time to trade. There's little easy money going around and the market is in a constant downtrend, without knowing what you're doing you're liable to lose money. Perhaps try a paper account for a while to hone your skills before the market conditions become more favorable.

Avoid signals at all costs, they're not looking out for your best interests, they are looking out for their own. No one has a crystal ball and if they did they wouldn't be sharing it with you. They use these groups to get people to buy shitcoins off them at an inflated price.

it's not too late to join, I think this is a good start for you to enter the world of cryptocurency, the price of all crypto has decreased greatly, it's time to buy BTC, but you have to think twice and several times because of the high risk of playing in the cryptocurency world

Maybe now it's good time for newbies to join. Just because the market is red isn't the reason to give up and maybe exactly in a moment like this it's the good moment to learn and to feel the risk. But it's very important for you to know what is your final goal and expectations in order not to get disappointed in trading at the end.
I would suggest to try with very small sums that you can afford to lose, just to feel the market. If you are brave enough give it a try.

Well, it is a good timing for a newbie to jump in whether trading or long-term investing, for trading prices can't really go much down, for example, it is pretty much hard to see an x5 or x3 downtrend at this current stage, I don't say it is impossible but it is much harder at this current price range of almost all top coins. And for long-term investing, I think it is the best time to jump in, prices right now is pretty cheap, there is still a risk but now the risk is very low compared with before. Just remember, even if the timing is good don't ever invest what you can't afford to lose, no matter how low the risk is there is still a risk especially when we are talking about Cryptocurrency market.

No!!!! not at all. Trade is not meant for newbies this time when the market still remains bloody and the bears still continue but my advise to for you is; get yourself acquitted with the trade techniques and ensure to study the market at this critical time in order to play safe when the bull run start.
Frankly speaking, as a newbies like you, i will suggest that you invest in some major cryptocurrency for now to working on your self in the world of cryptocurrency rather than jumping into what can cost you much you never thought.

Well, in my opinion, it is not the right time for day or short-term trading, but is certainly is the best time for long-term investment, as the price of most cryptocurrencies is very cheap now. Invest in some well-known coins and hold them, it will be very profitable in the long run.

I think that now is a good time for long-term investments. About trade there is nothing to say and think. If I had available funds, I would establish my investment portfolio and purchase additional altcoins that interest me.

If you are new it is time to start putting some money away into crypto but not the time to get all in right now.

We have been in one of the biggest downturns of bitcoin in history and since the price went down so much everyone thinks the time for going up is starting up again however the past year caused a lot of new coins to go "bankrupt" and basically go away, many crypto business closed shops and there are a lot of them laying off their staff as well because none of them have any money left.

Hence, it has been all bad news and all bad things for crypto which would mean it may take some time before we recover. You should start putting in some money but not all of it, you should divide it to 12 equal parts and invest once each month of 2019, that way if it goes lower you will average it down, if it goes higher you already invested.

It was a great move by you by not getting into the market at its HIGH. Now is definitely a good time to get good positions into the coins which you believe because the room for upward is more from here than downward.
So choose the projects wisely and hung in there you will do good. I would suggest not to get into those signals channel at this moment and rather improve your skills by learning.

I think a long-term play is probably the best idea for now.

It looks a little risky for beginners to enter the market today, basically I see the current market situation is declining. It might be better if you wait a while longer, unless you have prepared yourself for all the possibilities that will occur.
And yes, if we talk about trading signals honestly I never believe them.

It's a good time to buy and hold because the price is still low, but it's not recommended to start trading now if you are just a beginner, its difficult to make profit in bear market and sometimes the vip signal can't be rely on, signal is just a speculation make by professional traders, sometimes it can be wrong, my suggestion is to wait if you want to start trading, wait for the market become better

Yes, just enjoy buying coins right now because they're cheap and keep it for a long time. Just be sure though that don't put coins in a exchange but rather in a wallet that you have total control of your private keys specially if you're thinking holding for about a year or so, just saying.

I wouldn't go all in, but feel free to drop a bit of money into BTC and other alts right now. As others have already said, the price of BTC and most other cryptocurrencies is low right now, and though we're in rocky markets, you can always stagger buy orders by pricing (e.g in bitcoin, an order at 3600, 3400, 3800, etc) so you don't put all your money in at once on a coin. I personally do this, and it's a great way to accumulate coins slowly.

As for signals, I've never had good results with them. Even paid signals don't always work, and plenty of people end up being scammed (and most signals are used to make people buy or sell coins). Think for yourself as well- if someone had good information on trading, it makes no sense for that person to give away their info for free or sell it when that person can use the signals to his/her own advantage.

to start trading you don't need a special time. you can enter the market anytime you want and start trading. as a matter of fact 2018 has been the best year to start trading because if you did that you would have been forced to learn how to make profit instead of profit coming to you!
for example last year any newbie without a brain could make profit if they bought literary anything, even dead coins, held for a month and then dumped it! that doesn't make you a trader though but what it does is that it gives you the illusion of being an expert trader and that is the worst thing because all of those with that illusion lost all their money this year.
but if you started this year you could have build yourself a solid trading experience instead of an illusion.

At this moment some altcoins already drops their prices so I think that it's time to buy some coins that loss 50% of their price at cheap as they see. But some crypto holders ignore it because there's is a time that continue to decrease its price so they afraid to buy now.

This time is not for short term trading but this time is to invest in any of the coin which have a good future or if you cannot find then invest in Bitcoin and hold them for a long term which is the only way to get a profit which will make you millionaire in the coming future.

We are currently in the bear market right now definitely this moment is the best time to buy cryptocurrencies you want in a very cheap prices almost 90% lost on all coins its a big discounts to those who want to enter cryptomarkets many experts predicts that a bull run may occur in the following months so its pretty good opportunity to buy now at low prices.

It's always a good time to get into crypto trading. 72 hours ago BTC is at $3,200 USD and now its $3,750 USD. If you bought Bitcoins last December 16, you already earned 17% from your capital. Even if Bitcoin starts to slide down and you lost 5% to 10% there's still opportunity there to earn as price of Bitcoin is very volatile and price will recover eventually.

It's never too late to enter the market and you just have to decide which one you will choose, whether short-term or long-term trading. But always remember that you must always analyze even if you have information from trading signals.

If you want to buy bitcoins for  trading purpose then this is the best time to buy cheap. Price has increase in the last two days but still it is very low as compare to all time high. For trading, you need to first learn it properly before actually trying to trade the coins else you will not be able to make good profits.

Learning trading doesn't really required or necessary on what time you would get in unless if you do go for long term but we know theres no exact thing we can able to
point out on making or purchasing yet crypto market is very unpredictable. You are lucky that you have wait up on last years price hype and now prices corrected so badly
which in result that most people do bought on peak are really on great loss as of now.

The past year is indeed the best phase because there is a lot of support and also positive changes to cryptocurrencies. However, the opportunity at the moment is still very good, we can take advantage of the situation by seeing the movement of several potential coins. Many people fail because they do the wrong analysis. train yourself and join a community will be able to help ourselves in developing the knowledge and information that we have.

I think this year is the right year for a new investor to invest in crypto because the price is down too deep even with bitcoin price. They can buy a lot of amount of bitcoin especially if that person has much money but it depends on how much money he wants to use and what coins he wants to buy. Before you invest, you need to determine how much the amount of money and don't use all of your money to invest in crypto at once and you need to learn about the basic of crypto trading. I don't recommend to buy the coins from the VIP signals before you can analyze by yourself because they cannot always give the right signal.

Yes, after hitting $20k price levels, bitcoin prices are now trading around $3500. It must be a very good opportunity for new investors those who got attracted when bitcoin was trading around $20k levels. They might have been thinking like they were too late to get into bitcoin but now the bitcoin market is giving them another opportunity to get in. But I'm not sure how many people will be understanding this opportunity and making use of it.

I don't recommend to buy the coins from the VIP signals before you can analyze by yourself because they cannot always give the right signal.
It is always dangerous to dependent on others for investment/trading purposes. We must take time to analyze where to invest and what are to avoid. If we are not ready to go for our own analysis then it should be better just sticking within bitcoin investments and that also should be long-term based.

If you are not sure, don't do it. But if you are full of enthusiasm, now really is a good time for learning how to trade and make profit.
But, when we are not sure about perfect trading then we may go for long term investments with bitcoin. Yes, just trading bitcoin on long term basis will be definite profitable and anyone can do that as far as I have seen.

First of all harnessing the interest to trade should be innate and not based on someone telling you to trade because honestly speaking if you're not ready fr trading and you enter, it's gonna be a disaster for you. Well, for the trading signals, some work whereas others don't but I'd prefer to learn something on my own and then try trading on your own for sometime before searching for a paid group.

Investing into cryptocurrencies market is a very risky venture and you most be endeavour to understand how it works and indicatiors that move the market before you put in your hard earned money. havibg said this you should not invest because of what people are saying but you should invest because you have come into conclusions through your personal analysis that the market is about to be bullish. On your question of either now is the right time to invest, I can said yes!  However not all the coins are good for your investments right now and if you want to put in money into cryptocurrencies market now you should have a long term view in mind as it might takes another 2 years before we began to see another strong bull run.

Yes, we can invest anytime we want as long as you know where to invest. The market is cheap right now which make it more attractive for the new investors. If you know how to trade at least the basic knowledge about trading then its better for you to start looking for a good coin now before the price rise again.

I think this is by far the best time to get in except like 2+ years ago, right now prices has shown themselves to be capable of going really high but they also showed how volatile they could be by swinging all sides. This tells us there is a chance bitcoin could drop of course but it also shows if bitcoin prices reaches 20 thousand dollars in a month than nobody would be shocked, it wouldn't be so weird for bitcoin because it does that kind of stuff, of course we would be really happy and excited but we wouldn't be thinking "how did it happen" because it can happen and it did happened.

We are just waiting for it to happen again. Thats why right now is the best time to get into bitcoin and crypto in general since prices are low but that showed us what it can be as well.

To my opinion now it's the good time to get into trading. The price is rather low and there are big and fast fluctuations so for some trading newbie it's an opportunity to slowly get into world of crypto.
Current situation will not last forever and I expect for price to rise again, maybe even up to 10000$ next year, who knows. But this might take a time and by then this is good moment to buy some coins and get prepared for the future.

Trading isn't something you just use one day to decide whether to do or not. It takes a long term decision and study before you enter. I quite remember when I wanted to start trading, I was getting my few dollars drained.
For paid groups, you need to be careful or else you may be scammed.

Preferable you buy and hodl for now while learning how to trade although trading isn't an easy venture and I will advice you to invest the amount of money you can afford to lose while following paid signals to avoid losses, Cryptos trading is profitable in a long term basis and learning the rope will indeed assist you in determing the type of trades from paid signal.

I think it is understandable that most newbies in this crypto world would ask the same thing. Though we already have a beginner's guide here to look at if you have more question.

And for your question, there are no latecomers who enter in this cryptocurrency world. We are all newbies at the start, and we didn't start to push ourselves to learn everything in such a small time but instead, we slowly learning it every day.

Like in all competitive markets,it is hard to tell when is a good time to enter because no one can tell for sure where the bottom is for each coin/token, as a rule of thumb, a bearish market is usually preferable for new entrants since your fiats will have much more purchasing power, your focus should however be more on acquiring a better trading skill. There is money to be made both in bearish and bullish markets if you know what you are doing. As Robert Kiyosaki would say, the average investor lose money to the smart investor, don't be "average" if you want to make money here.
You are right. We are all struggling to find the direction of movement but at least we can not imagine how far it will go without knowing what the movement is animating. It could be wise to risk or wait until recover but if you want earnings, it will be difficult with waiting.

If you don’t know how to trade, then it would be best for you to stay clear from it. But you can still buy coins and hold them long term for profit. I will advise you to buy eth cause I have been seeing a lot of positive need about eth and I’m very sure the price will soon go up. You can also buy Bitcoin cause that’s the Number one cryptocurrency in the market and when bull run comes it will always rise.

I agree with you that if you are new into the crypto market it is better to buy btc or eth and hodl it for a long-term because both of them was having a big possibility to become adopted in the community soon on which can increase its demand on the market that will make the price up and possibly reached new all time high.

Thanks.
Don't trust the signals which is not ging to bring any benefit for you,if you want to enter into crypto trading then it might be a good time to enter for long term but as a day trader then it is highly risky but still can make huge money by sideway movement of crypto prices so you need basic skills and the right capital amount to invest.

If you ask my opinion then I will say it's not only right time but also it's best time to enter on crypto and on trading. Obviously you need patience for crypto trade. Panic seller and buyer can't win on trading. Sometimes price drop then we become panic and sell on loss. That's main problem on trading. We should wait for green candle. On the other hand if we see increasing price then we sell suddenly because fear of loss, in a result we can't get high profits. However as OP said there is lots of signal channel. As far as I know most of them just copy paste each other's. There is few may be gave successfull signal but no one can give 100% gurranty. You should use your brain also on depends market.

I'd recommend getting in during the next small correction with a part of your money and just hold even if it drops again.
Because it's most likely that we will go up eventually.
And save the rest just in case if something unexpected happens (Like 2,000$ or even 1340$).

It could be wise to risk or wait until recover but if you want earnings, it will be difficult with waiting.
Earning, that's the only thing that pops up in people's minds. Instead of "earning" in an uncertain market you can choose to hodl and not risk losing anything, isn't that a better way to deal with this market?

Try to paper trade for a week or two and see whether your gut feelings or signals from so called experts are worth anything. You'll see that it's very close to rolling the dice over or under 50 on whatever gambling site.

As always, people will only realize what they miss when they no longer have it. Once they lost most of their funds due to their greed they will think about how hodling wasn't all that bad of an option....

If you don’t know how to trade, then it would be best for you to stay clear from it. But you can still buy coins and hold them long term for profit. I will advise you to buy eth cause I have been seeing a lot of positive need about eth and I’m very sure the price will soon go up. You can also buy Bitcoin cause that’s the Number one cryptocurrency in the market and when bull run comes it will always rise.
buy when the positive trend has been seen and just started, don't buy when the price is at ATH because you will lose afterwards. in my opinion now is the right time for all investors, newbies or even experts. this new year brings new trends, new circumstances and new atmosphere

As a newbie, in my opinion, you may start buying some btc right now since the price is relatively low if you want to enter the crypto world. But trading would not be the best choice for you right now since it is bearish.

Same with me, I am a newbie too, especially in trading. But after seeing market movements in 2018 I got the conclusion that in a bearish market the price of bitcoin can move up slowly. Even, at the end of last year the price of bitcoin was very volatile, in one day it could go down to 10% and the next day it could rise up to 12%, a sign that even if a bearish market a trader can get profit. This is just another view so that someone does not judge the bearish market is a condition that must be regretted.

I hope so, but before they buy bitcoin, I hope they should decide how long they want to hold and don't afraid with all the things that might happen. I mean they don't have to listen with the negative news that they read and only trust with their skills and do research at the market. So far, I see trader make a buy order and sell order, and it means that the market still on the right track to recover and even the price still running up and down.

Agreed. If you are looking to day trade, definately learn some TA first. You can also 'paper trade' until you get the hang of trading. Also, some exchanges offer "test sites" that you can simulate trading without worrying about losing your crypto.

And lastly be very careful of 'signals' groups. Most are barely novice traders trying to take your crypto for their borderline TA. If you LEARN to trade, you won't need them anyway :)

Many people said the crypto market already in the bottomed and i agree with that because all crypto already going down from 85% to 99%, but this prediction can be wrong so you have always to use stop loss for every trade. Crypto market is not dead but this is just young market so in the long run will be huge market. Crypto market actually keep bigger because in the beginning 2017 the total market cap just about 20$ Billion and now about $130 Billion and can be going up to $1 trilliun next year.

Well i think this is really the best time to get into crypto trading. I believe that we need to start this time because of the market conditions. The crypto market today is slowly rising we need to make an action to gain a huge amount of profit in the near future. Because I believe that experience is the best teacher if we do some positive action today we can possibly earn in the near future  because we can make a good decision because of  our experience.

I would not take any paid service on signals. Most of them are pump and dump groups attracting people with high promised returns. However mostly only admins and close friends make the huge profits and more than 50% of the people that follow the signal will loose money. So I wouldn't recommend to join a signals group.
Better learn yourself how to analyse the market and do not rely on 'vip signals'.

Before diving into crypto trading, one should spend some time to learn about it first, although it is very risky it is very profitable too. You can earn a lot in a moment and you can also lose in the next moment, so before starting crypto trading investors should first watch how the market behaves for some time.

It’s all your choice. There is risk in cryptocurrency. If you want you can wait till the price starts to go up just to be sure that there is going to be a bull, but don’t forget that sometimes there is bull trap; when the prices suddenly increases and gets back to the bottom again. So since the price is down, maybe now is best for you to buy and hodl till when the price will go up. But like I said before, it’s all your choice .

I heard for somep people is it useful to help get tips from vip siganl groups

We do have our own choice but asking if this is the right time to get in then no one knows but basing on the prices we have seen compared in last years then we can say that this is relatively low.
Its really indeed our choice if we can risk up to get in because as being said on crypto this is way too volatile. We might expect that this is already the bottom but anytime it can go even more deeper which
causes for you to loss money. If you aren't ready on the risk then better not to proceed at all.

Nope. All this bullshitting positivism won't help. People need to be realistic over here.

The worst thing for new investors or traders to do is to wait for the perfect time to enter the market. Its impossible to find the perfect timing, especially as a new investor. You should see it more like a hobby or even a lifestyle. If you are going into any trading you need to commit time and you also need to enjoy your time. Start with making a small deposit. You will notice if you find it fun to follow the market or even deposit more money into the market. There is definitely no perfect time to buy or sell in this market. You get to choose and make a decision based on the current scenario. The best time to invest in crypto is when people start fearing.

Continue buying, don’t try to hesitate to buy ETH and BTC its my top choice and most of the hodlers are already own a lot of this coin so I think you should have to.

It's always good to have our own research and analysis so that we can be sure about what we are doing and taking care of our capital is possible and everything will be under our control. Buying signals will lead to disasters because no one will take lots of hours for generating accurate all. They will do like a routine job and that is the reason they are producing only 40-60% target hitting.

People are going for buying signal just due to the reason of they are new to crypto trading. But, no one should expect to make profits from trading from their beginning days itself. They must learn first so that they will be capable of generating their own calls only after that they should enter into actual trading.

Learning and then entering into actual trading with small capital for the purpose of practicing are the steps, everyone should follow. Instead of trying in actual trading, most people go for paper trading which is a working way of preventing unnecessary losses. But, if you want to experience the real heat of markets then you must go for actual trading but with very small capital.

If you believe that the market of cryptocurrency will grow in the future, now is the better time to buy the top digital assets while the prices are very low.  If can't do trading, you start buying then hold them until the prices go up in the future. Just be optimistic!

If you are interested in going into trading or just buying cryptocurrency the best advice is to make a small deposit. By doing this, you don't risk much at all. On top of that, you can see if your interest grows or not.

There are too many beginners that are looking for THE perfect timing to get into a market. Real traders are just looking for ONE opportunity to get into the market because there is no such thing as a perfect opportunity.

Another mistake beginners do is that think they can make 1 life trade. There is nothing like that either. Trading is a lifestyle or a hobby and you either like or you don't like it. If you don't like it you should by ETF or similar products. If you like trading, just start to trade. Read more about cryptocurrency trading at www.cryptocointrade.com

It is always good to start with small capital because it will ensure your peace of mind which will be helping you move further. Most people are making big mistake in that stage. They are depositing big capital and then finding frustrating experience due to unable to manage different asset and profit/losses.

There are too many beginners that are looking for THE perfect timing to get into a market. Real traders are just looking for ONE opportunity to get into the market because there is no such thing as a perfect opportunity.
I'm not finding anything wrong in waiting for perfect time to enter into crypto market because if you have strong technical analysis then you can easily find bottom of the markets so that you can enter at the time. It is always good to wait rather than struggling later.

Trading is a lifestyle or a hobby and you either like or you don't like it. If you don't like it you should by ETF or similar products. If you like trading, just start to trade.
We must have clear idea of what we should do before touching anything. I'm just stating commonly but it is applicable for entering into trading also. I mean to say we should have clear mindset so that we can find success in trading. Trading itself is a very big struggle but we should not have confusion of going for trading or not. We must decide clearly and then should enter.

What people should need to know about trading and crypto is that this is a new ground for all of us, maybe some of us are here for a bit longer but that doesn`t make us an experts, we just have a bit more experience. About experience, in real life maybe you need time for adjusting and to learn some things, you go to school or job day to day, in crypto you can sit on computer and to see incredible things in just couple days, ways to learn, to improve yourself, to earn while you are doing that, crypto is open 24/7 for everyone of us.
It`s time for everyone to get in, who comes in earlier will have more benefits from that, is how I see it.

I agree. We are still in bearish right now so i think it would be hard for newbies to start trading and make profit.Maybe we can  wait for the right timing to trade. But if they can afford to buy potential coins at the moment, and then hold them after,it would be more profitable in the future once the price had already increased.

Yes the bearish market will only make us chaotic, but if he has experience in trading I think it will be fine with the skills he has. But if he is new to trading and wants to trade on the crypto market which is bearish I think he needs a trustworthy companion with the aim of understanding the situation more quickly, because I realize that just trying to trade without having skills will only makes us lose.

now the market is very difficult to predict if if you trade new at this time you have to have sufficient technical or fundamental analytical skills so you have to be careful in trading

Its not to late i guess until the price is still at 3000 dollar range then it wouldn't be to late. The dumping phase has already ended in 2018 this year according to the 4 year cycle of bitcoin the price should surge maybe in february or this month better accumulate while the price is still in lows cause it will certainly reach new heights this year especially when institutional investors and big companies and getting in.

Thanks.

Don't try to enter market using your money, except only for for strategy or understand market works. This is red zone very dangerous for us and maybe still running until middle 2019, can handle it?. Never follow signals from others ( free or not ) it will make your skill not grow up and this is my personal experience. Start with practice make a journal and never repeat the same mistakes, good luck to you.

In the present condition I'm not sure whether it's good to enter and start trading, many of the holders experience loss of value and unfavorable market conditions too, moreover correction always occurs when the value starts to rise. In my opinion for beginners who really don't understand crypto trading it's better to start with a demo account, so as not to really lose money, and I think the demo is better now to test trading skills.

If you are still new in trading, then your first goal is to familiarize what it is. Increase your knowledge about it for you learn how it works and how you can able to make profit.

Well, this year is called the bear market, and most traders or investors suffer losses. even among them decided to leave cryptocurrency or hibernation until the prices are recovery. For newcomers, of course, this is a pretty good opportunity, remembering cryptocurrency prices like altcoin are still down

You meant last year ? This year will be a sideways to slow recovery filled one hence this must be a right time for getting in. Moreover this year could be a perfect time for long term planning rather than having any active trading plans. Usually sideways markets are good for short term trading still I am not recommending to for that as unexpected downfall may make to lose faith on entire crypto space itself.

Increase your knowledge about it for you learn how it works and how you can able to make profit.
There are thousands of such aspects are required to be successful with trading but definitely not for long term traders, yes they can easily go for investing with bitcoins and then might need to move them into cold storage. After 2 to 3 years they may find themselves as millionaire too.

I don't think these are reputable services. I think this transaction is really difficult and if you keep looking at the signals, it will become more difficult. because the signal is a lot and it will make you confused before deciding to buy any altcoins. I have tried and failed, besides, the signals are only 40% accurate.

It’s not in your hand to decide what will happen next but you should only know how to move next as it’s good one rule to buy at red and wait for long so new users should join right now it’s best time later on price will be too high. Don’t think about lose as it can demotivate you just fix a goal and focus on it to start your trading journey.

Currently price of all crypto dumped hard and this is beyond our prediction, since the price of crypto very high volatility will be very difficult to predict the bottomed price. In technical analysis tell us now is best times to enter to the market for doing day or swing trading. But there are still risk and to minimize it, we have to use stop loss and trailling stop.
