AdelPoint is a self-sustaining decentralized ecosystem that offers free and secure file transfers for the public.

This blockchain-based technology consists of the Ethereum blockchain, an InterPlanetary File System (IPFS, peer-to-peer distributed file system) and an IPFS Cluster (i.e. an implementation of IPFS). This service uses AES-256 for file encryption.

How does the blockchain based file sharing system work? Will it be a centralized server with the blockchain only used for hash verification.

I think you are not the first platform who service file sharing system in decentralized, there are so many platforms like this but I mostly forgot the name.

We are using the IPFS for P2P transfer of files. Anyone could be a Node Contributor by downloading the software on  our website. We then use a parallel Ethereum blockchain clone for file hashing. So both are decentralized.

If you remember the name then let us know so we could do a comparison. Tx.

Hi, Since its the Alpha version you can become a Node Tester. The roadmap on the adelpoint.com site shows that beginning of next year (Q1 2019), The Beta version will be released. If you are running a node for AdelPoint, you will receive Adelphoi (ADL) rewards.

To get full access for receiving rewards, it is necessary to become Founder on the adel portal (registering and owning 32K ADL coins). See www.adel.io for more info.

In other words, it is like mining or staking right? because we become a Node Tester and the chain needs the node to run the transaction.
if it is correct, then can you tell me what is the requirement to be one of the tester?
do we need a high-end computer rig or an ordinary one will do? and please consider adding your social media in here, like Telegram or Discord

It's like owning a masternode yes. You don't need anything special just enough space - 10GB. It can run on linux also on a raspberry pie for about 30$, so really simple. I tried it and will share a guide on how to do it. It's not difficult, but in case someone outside crypto want's to test it I'll make it simple so a grandpa can do it :)

AdelPoint’s service is fuelled by Contributors running a node on their computer. In the future (Starting at Beta version) Node Contributors will receive rewards based on revenue generated from advertisements to users and distributing these proceeds to Node Contributors and Adel, as custodians of the service.

Its a unique outside the chain reward.

We run a node and we'll get a reward for supporting the network. The more users will use this encrypted sharing the more ads will be on the site and more income from ads will be generated and that income will be shared with node owners. This is only a beginning of AdelPoint. In Adel community portal we can decide what the end product will be, how much rewards, how much space how many nodes etc. This is just one of the projects that is being incubated there...

I am not sure why anyone would participate in an unincentivized alpha network

All have their own agenda. Some want to help with testing and spread the word about it, others want to get paid... I'm testing it because I would like this project to be out soon and with us testing it, they can clear any bugs or problems that occur in a testing period. So the sooner beta is out the sooner we get rewards, plus I don't lose anything as I have it on my mining rig.

and how much is total supply and more information about it?
And is it based on Etherium blockchain or you have your own chain?

No coin is needed to run a node. They will give external rewards in ADL probably because this is a project from Adel incubator. The website will have ads and revenue from those ads will be shared with node owners. We community members (called founders) can decide on all those things in the portal as this is not a finished product yet. To be a founder you need 32k ADL and can get access to all projects or you can even add your own idea for incubation or work in projects that are there if you search for a job.

After uploading files, the user is given an identifier and an encryption key which are both embedded in a unique URL. The user sends this URL to the recipient so they can download and decrypt the files. Since encryption occurs on the sender’s machine, none of the peer-to-peer nodes can access the encrypted data. In this manner, files are always transferred safely to their destination. Files are stored for three days before being permanently deleted.

For example if you want to join with 2 nodes, should that be possible with 32k ADL or should a user need to have 64k ADL or should it be free? What about amount of nodes versus rewards. Should there be a max of nodes, so rewards are still high enough for partipants, no max, or a max of nodes per user? What about a node monitor and or wallet. What features does it need etc.

Like Oportunis said, status Founder is needed which equals the Adelphoi coin (ADL) amount of 32K.
