Title: About the ban. Help me please!
Post by: igoodcoin on December 22, 2018, 03:14:13 PM
Hello, I have a problem.

There is an account "iTradeBit" which was banned for seven days a few weeks ago, and the administration commented on this: "insufficient comments content".
I was surprised, but stopped commenting almost completely, although I wanted to maintain socialization with the community.

In addition, I created quite thematic posts in various branches regularly (several per day), which were based on the news of the world of cryptocurrencies, because I wanted to know the opinion on high-profile events.

However, I was banned again, without term specifying, as I understand, only with the possibility of appeal. The reason sounded: "For plagiarism, or spam from the account." There was definitely no plagiarism, all this is personal thoughts about certain events. If this was regarded as spam, then I would like to find a solution.

Let me explain why I need this account.

The account belongs to the company, we are engaged in development in the field of cryptocurrency (Without ICO, on our own investments, there was no desire for PR). In our branch we publish information about the project, in addition to this, we decided to ask the audience opinion on hype news.

This was important, as we have media resources, and I would like to have an idea of how interesting and relevant our information is.

The fact is that if I didn’t understand something and it was impossible to create activities on the forum in this format, then tell me please what to do, who to contact, so that we can use our account only to inform about our own project.

I really hope for support. I can make a promise, to continue not to create unnecessary activities, use the account only for the purposes of our own project.
Are there any other penal mechanisms, or financial sanctions?

I really, very strongly, need access to this account in terms of publications.

I apologize if my message is not at the address, or it is too long, but please help me. To whom can I contact your among your colleagues? What to do? I would only have had the opportunity to keep a topic about us, additional "dubious" publications from the account "iTradeBit" will not appear.

I really hope for understanding and help.
Thank you for your attention, with respect to you!

It says probably banned for plagiarism as that's what most permabans are issued for, but probably is the keyword here. I can't find any reports on you in the report queue but there was a post in the staff forum about spam on the 12th of December and I'm guessing that was what you were banned for seven days for. Maybe contact a Russian mod and see if they can shed any light on it.

It is so hard OP if you get banned you can no longer ask for a lift for the ban. I have seen and read ban appeals here but all ended up nothing even if you have a good excuses. Plagiarism is most likely the reason for the ban. Well, you can join in different forum. Just search in google for the cryptocurrency forum then join. Bitcointalk.org is not the only one forum for cryptocurrency.

Except that it kind of is the only *populated* forum related to cryptocurrency. (Unless you count Bitcoin.SE, which i would say isn't a forum.)

I'm pretty sure OP got banned for these sorts of posts:

While many traders are eagerly awaiting a potential Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), some of the most ardent supporters of cryptocurrency are tepid at best for the prospect of such a tool. What's your opinion? Do you want Bitcoin ETF?

Bitcoin (BTC) received another negative assessment from central banks, this time Benoit Kerere from the executive board of the European Central Bank (ECB), calling the original cryptocurrency “an evil offspring of the financial crisis,” reports the Financial Times. That can be found on the network recently. Bitcoin fell and fiat experts immediately started a new wave of hate, do you think bitcoin will recover soon?

On Wednesday (November 14, 2018), Brian Kelly, founder and CEO of digital asset investment firm BKCM LLC, explained yesterday's "crypto market crisis" that led to double-digit percentage losses for most basic crypto-conversions, including Bitcoin, which dropped to $ 5,569, its the lowest price in a year.
But Brian Kelly suggests not to worry, saying that in his fund they used the moment to purchase. Do you agree with him?

These sort of press releases which i think you copied from an article? (correct?) are kind of frowned upon and probably constitute to copy-pasting..?

Probably this is the reason why his/her account was banned, most of the time people forget or failed to add the source link of the article and ends up getting permaban. This copy pasting may not be intentional but still the same rule for everyone, permaban until theymos implement new punishment for copy past based on this thread : Alternatives to Permabans for plagarism (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5087992.0)

This might be a hint. The FT has a paywall. So if the OP is copy-pasting from there we won't find it via Google.

Financial Times wouldn't refer to themselves like that. It's likely from another article quoting FT.

That's good to know, but I thought google still indexed content behind paywalls.  I've found stuff through google only to find that a subscription is required to read the whole article--is that what you're talking about?

In any case, the posts AdolfinWolf quoted from OP like
While many traders are eagerly awaiting a potential Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), some of the most ardent supporters of cryptocurrency are tepid at best for the prospect of such a tool.
are definitely written in the style of a professional journalist.  Non-English speakers probably don't realize that people who read news articles in English can usually recognize the style, as opposed to what a typical original bitcointalk post is like.  I've caught quite a few plagiarists by noticing noobs who write like journalists--that just isn't going to happen unless it's plagiarized, because people don't naturally write like that.

I take it this ban isn't for plagiarism, though, correct?  If the ban PM that OP got really said "insufficient comments content" then that means mods are temp-banning shitposters, and I'm all for that.  Am I correct about this?

I was thinking the OP inserted that FT reference this one time, but didn't do it in the other posts.

That was the first ban. The OP then got banned again, this time permanently.

Damn, him changing certain grammar and spinning certain keywords makes it obvious that he knew what he was doing, and that he knew that what he was doing was wrong.

There was, and you knew it.
