Title: Did you lose your confidence as an investor?
Post by: Stedsm on December 29, 2018, 12:27:16 PM
The sudden rise (from the very beginning of 2018) to fall (end of 2018 and still continuing), did you have the courage to hodl your coins and have your confidence intact just as before? Or did the extreme hustle of the bearish markets ended everything for you and even compelled you in such a way that you're now no more going to put anything in cryptocurrencies? Do you think this is an opportunity itself or is this going to end up hard in grave like most of the best ICO projects of whose tokens got dumped down to even 1/20th their ATH?

P.S.: This is just a poll, so don't take it as a measurement to decide whether to remain and/or invest in crypto or not.

We will definitely experience a decrease in self-confidence. Investors must have fear when the price of Bitcoin / Altcoin decreases. But when investors just stay quiet they won't get anything. Though this kind of investment is profitable, this increase and decrease can be a momentum and the most important thing is how we make the best decisions. Take advantage of every momentum that exists and always pay attention to any price movements that occur at any time seriously.

As far as I'm concerned, I see nothing worrying when it comes to bitcoin because the development is more active and the community is bigger than ever. It's also no secret that the market is being manipulated so holding is probably wiser.

If we're speaking about crypto in general, then It's worrying to a certain degree but that's our fault. People are looking for fast earning and quick money, so they just follow the hype and then realize they're investing in a project that is a scam and eventually loses their money. That gives a bad image to the cryptosystem and make people stay away from it sadly.

I haven't lost fate in cryptocurrencies yet , but definetly lost hope in all ICOs . I think the only thing that's draging us down is all the scams that grew during the last bullrun , all the lies and fake hopes we were given by these imposters. Luckily they started to decrease now that no one is being into their crap and hopefully they disapear forever.
If you want to invest , go for the top coins on the market cap or else you are taking a huge risk without any potentials.

The extreme bearish markets might look scary for some of the newcomer investors. Personally, I still have faith in Bitcoin and just thought the current markets is just a continuation of the market cycle. We were at a parabolic movement market cycle, and the current condition is still healthy.

If investor means invest on ICO then I lose my hope as well most of them are scammer. If you are asking about existing and reputed crypto currency then I have confident to hold them. But usually I don't want to hold longer, I like to trade them and increase my coin. Like something I bought for 1$, if price raise 1.5$ then obviously I will sell that and I will wait for another dip. If in case drop again then I will take it otherwise I will move another coin. Investing on reputed coin is not bad now. I think it's good time to buy crypto include Bitcoin. So eventually you can say I have confident as an investor to invest on existing and well reputed coin.

You should add an extra option in your poll. I am pretty sure there are people that made profits in this bear market year. Or is the poll for hodlers only. Cause in my case the market went down entirely this year but I still made VERY good profits and more than tripled my investment during 2018

If we lost the confidence in investing and cryptocurrencies then nothing will be write for us because if we think with kind or some other currency will not worth then we cannot survive in this field so if you want to get better result then trust that currency.

Glad to know that you've had profits even during bearish days, but would surely like to know whether it was from shorting BTC or other crypto listed over leverage providers or did you profit from exchanges like Binance, Bittrex and/or Poloniex through alts and tokens trading? If we talk about raking in profits in 2018, yes there were opportunities till the middle of this year, but since the market started falling down badly, most of the traders have lost only (except from the current swings going on in markets through small pumps in BTC and alts as well). BTW, it's not entirely about making profits but having/losing confidence in crypto. :)

I remember where crypto will go nothing on 2014 that's why I sell almost 0.5
But the fate say different things when bitcoin enthuasiast begin in Nov 2017. Feel regret ? Of course , maybe not just me I can guarantee !

On 2018, the market begin to normal and something will be difficult to climb as high as before but I still believe that Nov 2017 incident will happen in the future so I try to keep hold it tight !

Well, I am a combination of both 2 and, I got REKT but I still believe in Crypto, I am still holding tight and in some Tokens and Coins I am already 90% down but I keep telling myself and I believe that things will change soon, I already adjusted with the situation because I already knew that this could happen any time so I was kinda prepared mentally.

I believe I never need to worry due to this downfall of crypto markets. Basically, I am a bitcoin investor since 2014. I was working for campaign by the beginning of 2015 when bitcoin prices was trading around $220 and I am still holding those bitcoin payments. I am still into profits which are more than 10x reward for my faith on bitcoins. I believe this is the advantage of being a long-term holder and I am in real life realizing that benefit.

Do you think this is an opportunity itself
When bitcoin was trading positive I was never thinking about buying more bitcoins nor never going for analyzing with the idea of buying few reputed altcoins. But I am doing those right now because this downfall must be a very big opportunity to have quicker returns for our capitals.

Not yet, as I'm still invested as far as my wallet is concerned and am still hoping for a bounce back. My business is still growing too so I don't care that much if bitcoin slides further down the slippery slope, and knowing how this market works, it will surely find its footing once more and make another run for it, granting yet another profit-spell to everyone who's invested. Right now, I'm not in a loss, as all the money I've invested on this current cycle are basically profits from the run from 2015-2017, so I'm still good.

I am on an overall profit. except for 5BTC I sold off most between 17k and 19k and most of my ETH above 1K. Then I took 25k to trade short to take daily profits on micro trades and profits. In that way I increased my fiat value. And the other profits I took by selling of end 2017 I used to enter the market again during previous month. So at this time I hold about 5-6 times more crypto than the point I sold 1 year ago.

To be honest I still hold as much as I can up until the April-May of this year. But common sense tells me that its time to dumped but my friends didn't listen to me and instead they keep on holding, but we all know what happen next, because after that everything went crashing hard and the market condition worsens.

I guess it really boils down as to what 2019 will bring, if the market recovers then I'm sure ICO will be alive again and more money pouring in.

I still have confidence as an investor because I am believing at the bull run in the near future, many people who lost confidence at bitcoin now are the one who entered at late and looking to make the quick money without knowing the what is bitcoin actually is,so we don't care about those lost investors the real investors are still holding the bitcoin.

This year we battled with two things, the sharp fall and scam icos. I think the bigger problem is not the decline. It is with the scam icos and developers who at the end will always run away with investors money. As for the market, I know it will recover some day. If not in 2019 it will be at another time.

The answer to this question will depend on whether you're a new investor or an old hand.

We see it play out after each bubble. New investors tend to be weak hands. At the beginning of the crash, they are confident and hopeful and intent on "buying the dip." By the end of the crash, most of them have sold at a loss and are calling Bitcoin a scam. It's something we see in all markets: impatient investors give away their money to patient investors.

I've been trading Bitcoin for almost 6 years. Nothing surprises me anymore, especially not deep crashes. It doesn't destroy my confidence at all, but it can be stressful having to hedge the value of my coins by frequently short selling.

For those newbies in the market, they are now scared and probably every single minute always checking the price in the market.
But for those real crypto enthusiasts, they are now relaxing and forget for a while the market bearish and wait for the bull run.

I voted, I still believe in crypto and I know that it'll recover for sure, if not sooner, later. We must do this to avoid panic selling for those weak hand people.

I would be lying if I said that my confidence hasn't taken a big kick in the teeth but it is still intact. I have held throughout this bear market and will continue to do so because I do believe in crypto and that the market overall will recover. A lot of alt-coins will never return to past ATHs but that's in my opinion for the best.

As an investor who wants to bag more of the projects I think this is one of the best times in this market to buy more while it's cheap. We have suffered more waves and tests of the market condition that will stay for good so I bet all on it for potential exponential gain.

I still believe in cryptocurrencies and I'm happy to see that the poll is indicating that most members of the forum feel the same way, but it is impossible to not be affected by what happened, I knew that we were in the middle of a bubble but I had no idea that the price will crash as it did, but a crash of that size presents an opportunity for all of those that are still holding some fiat and what to invest in the market.

IMO we all knew this would happen. Therefore I do not see price decrease as loss of confidence. Well, the price is around 4k and it is better than 0.
We should build our small economy where the price drop of BTC will not affect our earnings. And let's not think of it as regret, just an experience.

As a investor,  we should have always have high confidence for us to handle the risks that we are taking but high confidence is not enough,  we should find a good project where our money will grow and it is safe. What is the use of high self confidence if the project is trash?

Up until now, i am still holding most of my altcoins in my portfolio because i really believed that everything will be alright in the right time. As i looked at the chart and news it is still a good price for cryptocurrency. And when bitcoin is starting to recover slowly from the price correction and going to a stable price then hopes started to grow a little more.

from the big waves that happened some time ago and a lot of losses to some of us, of course losing trust is a natural thing, isnt it ? thats why the price of some crypto is still difficult to go back up, we need pumping trust like positive news so we can more confidence

Yup. This seems like a better time for anyone to start investing in the market. A lot of people believe that some cryptocurrency, like ETH, are set to perform better than they did this year. January we will see the next hard fork which is Constantinople, and if things goes as planned, then watch as the price will spark. I’m also believing that Bitcoin will go up as well, followed by some of the top coins in the market.

That was still hoping now people who have to hold crypto's(including me), I still believed on crypto and that's the reason why I patiently wait when the market will rise again, strong confidence makes you motivated not to become a weak hand holder and easy to do panic selling. Real investors will understand this situation now even how bad the market they know that time to time it will bounce back again.

I didn’t waste time in getting off the market after the last bull run, so there wasn’t any loss.
But, I did buy Ethereum recently, and that was before the price went down, but I’m not afraid. I might not have full confidence on Bitcoin, but I do believe we’ll in ETH that it will get better despite everything that happened. When eth prices will be touching again 0.1 BTC value I may go for converting it back to bitcoins. This way I will get more bitcoins for the same money I do have right now.

Do we even have any opinions than to hold?  Many of us buy bitcoin above $10,000 and it is below $4000 currently,  I don't think it is wise we should sell or dump our tokens or bitcoin now as we would definitely going to sell at loses.  if cryptocurrencies is not going to appreciate in future I rether keep holding than to taking this heavy loses.

But as I've clarified here, we've had shorting as an option to make money over having to buy alone, and this makes it go completely wild when I say that BTC or any other crypto (allowed on leverage trading) needs to be bought lower and sold higher (that BUY LOW, SELL HIGH thing) because everything since futures had changed in the minds of traders who knew that buying BTC for such values for most of the people (including them) wouldn't be easy, so they shorted it off and killed down the value, increasing their stake in BTC so as to cut down on their losses and those who did it on each different phase ma even have had earned the desired profits in fiat. But, it's also undeniable that BTC had a crash from a value which could be someone's lifetime earnings if they went all in on BTC to buy even 1 full BTC when it was at 20k, and anyone coming straight down to 3k from those levels will have their appetite shaken off as it's not easy for everyone to digest such a loss (at least till BTC tends to reach back 20k or their purchase price).

These are really smart thoughts. Don't worry, crypto realm will rise but for this we need some really positive news as opening BAKKT,  approval of Bitcoin ETF and others. Also I want to add that there are a lot of scam, that's why  this realm needs in creating rules for the right  relationships between investors and creators. So now I recommend everybody who has extra cash go and buy crypto and Hodl.

To be honest, I feel a little confused about what I have to do with market conditions like this, I have lost a lot in the market decline yesterday. But on the one hand I feel optimistic that the market will soon rise and can raise prices again in 2019. Maybe waiting a few more minutes will make me able to choose the best.

I opted for can't say, I mean I haven't really lost "all" my confidence as an investor but I sure did lost some of it.

I still believe crypto will be huge and I still think there are better days ahead of us and I still think bitcoin and many other great cryptos will worth at least x100 of their current price one day in the distant future. However, the thing I lost is the short term, the volatility and the reckless investment and cashing out and lack of control over bitcoin from the likes of roger ver and craig wright is just too dangerous, we do not even know how many craigs are out there lurking.

Last time, it was mtgox trustee, this time it was craig, who will be the next one ? We don't know. Hence I am a bit worried about the short term possibilities even tough I turst it in the very very long term.

The extreme bearish markets might look scary for some of the newcomer investors. Personally, I still have faith in Bitcoin and just thought the current markets is just a continuation of the market cycle. We were at a parabolic movement market cycle, and the current condition is still healthy.
I am happy to say that mate I am one of the most confident and well trusted investor. I never lose my hope and faith on crypto currency. Rise and fall happens there must be different situation you only will have to be patiently waiting for everything to be normal. I think after few years everything will be on track.

Obviously all of that definitely requires a process, for most of the newcomer investors they must be worried about seeing the market conditions that tend to decline more often. but if they are able to be patient and apply the principle of holding they will certainly get the benefits that will be obtained in the future

Nope, I still invest in cryptocurrency, but for bitcoin I chose to invest in short term and for the altcoin I chose long term. It's not easy to keep investing in big losses especially this year, half of my funds just disappear.

However, I thought this decision carefully. Indeed, many of my family mocked me not to reinvest in 2018 after 2017 many get some profit. They suggested to choose an investments in the real world such as land or real estate, but my strength was strong at that time. Many experts think that bitcoin prices will find the new ATH in 2019. But, it's just a dream cause 2018 opposite of 2017.

I agree. I mean, if you consider the market and many of the coin these days, it is quite difficult to find success now because of how the market is moving and trending. Many investments and ventures are dying out and even those projects that could be considered as gems are just too hard to come by. But, if one is really serious in the crypto currency market, then it would be better to keep the faith and find the good with the bad.

Well for the past 2 years we have seen the prices go down and up and the market constantly taking us by surprise and changing when we least expect it, 2018 may have not been a great year for the crypto and that is mainly to regulation and honestly this was something that is expected and it was only a matter of time for it to happen, even though with all this happening i still strongly belive that this market is worth investing in it and i still do believe in the true purpose of crypto.

According to me, 76.2% of people are able to maintain their belief in the crypto market in the future and this will be our great investment opportunity. The deep price reduction of the coin is not too big a problem, as my observation this is a golden time to increase the accumulation of the market. I will choose to surf to increase the number of coins I hold

No, I haven't loss my confidence in term of investing because it is all part of it. If you have lost it then you are not fit to be and investor at all.
This is correct that it is not good to lose your hope to your confidence because id you will lose your internal confidences trust me you will be no more able to earn profit. It takes time to increase the money but it does not mean you lose your hope and sell your coin at panic. If you want to be a good investor the first thing you need to learn is TRUST.

Like what I choose, "Nope, I still believe in crypto, and I know that it'll recover for sure, if not sooner, later." It's not the end of the cryptocurrency, and it will rise when the time is right, and we will see the crypto will reach the glory. Perhaps, it's happening to the new people who came to crypto in 2017 because they see a big chance to make fast money and they don't know much about cryptocurrency. But then, suddenly, all of what they dream has ruin because of the cryptocurrency has fallen deeper for a long time and finally, they are giving up and sold all of their assets without thinking about the chance for the cryptocurrency to rise again.

Glad to see you're taking it as an opportunity, and to my knowledge as well, BTC and alts will survive this bearish wave for sure. But I'm very much keen to know where did you get that number exactly? Or was it (76.2%) just an assumption? I believe we'll see the next rise during next halving, till then, I see no reason for BTC to reach those sky-high values back as investors are happy in making small bucks but big chunks of BTC through shorting.

The true believers and enthusiasts of crypto are here to stay and not those fain hearted fomo newbies. They will just be pawns or prey of the whales and manipulators of the market.

That's true, faith is what crypto needs to have right now (and ever since crypto had been here, faith is all it had to give values to these coins based on their properties which mostly took their total supply into consideration). But, those whales still need us (the average investor) to remain involved as they have the power to hodl and wait for longer (even during worst) times for their investment to recover back.

Live your present mate, it's 2018, not those days anymore when just one person was enough to kill the markets with their one single press of the wrong button (dump!). They've got to choose from 2 options now to make money, and the best thing is, they can make money from both the sides. There's a reason why Bakkt is being delayed.

Good question. I guess the answer depend on when do the investors entered crypto market. For those who have been in the game long enough to understand that the market works in cycle, I think this is just another test and I'm sure that majority of them hodl and then do short trading. However, for those who have bought at the tail end of the bullish trend, I'm sure their hopes and confidence are shattered and majority of them exited at around May-June and never came back. As I have said, this market works in cycle so I don't think its going to end up like most of the ICOs. We need to look forward next year that the market will bring some sort of changes, might not be a new all-time-high, but at least higher or even top 5 digits again.

You're right! Even though I still considered myself new in crypto world, at least I can now understand the nature of crypto - how it works and how it behaves. I'm not scared anymore every time btc drops knowing the fact that I've already experienced worse before (during China's ban to ICO). Actually, price falldowns now excites me a lot unlike before and very different from the newbies/weak holders out there who knew nothing but to listen to FUDs and panic sell ;D.

I hope your predictions will do come true :D. Actually, I'm now starting to invest in eth because I feel that it will skyrocket in 2019 (I hope so). But to be safe, I will continue not not expecting for a huge pump. Less expectations, less pain

But the fact still remains that even for those who've been long in the system, there are still occasional tests to their courage, and belief in investing in this network, its one thing to know that the bitcoin price is unpredictable, but it's another to handle a huge drop when ones investments are in there

Well investing in ICO's is far way more risky than in the bitcoin,as ICO investments can hardly be trusted.
But it's fair to be a stoic bitcoin believer

I'd say - don't you ever, and I mean it, never look for a pump anymore because these pumps had been one of the biggest reasons why this huge correction had occurred, the values went high last year due to sudden adoption and a lot more registrations for Bitcoin wallets everyday. When the craze ended, and as I said in OP that they had leverage trading available and shorting being another option to gain more for less, we had all our alts going negative due to people believing FUDs and FOMO of getting left behind in "selling" their stuff for the real money that they spent.

@Kemarit, even I'm waiting for BTC to break back the most-awaited 10k USD level (yeah, there was a lot more excitement when it was about to reach there) and go even higher, I think Bakkt is all it currently needs to go back to those values as it'll open a door to institutional investors to buy huge chunks of BTC (approx. 25 BTC per order) through contracts which would give a boost to the whole crypto economy.

As far as I am concerned, I did not lose confidence (only lost confidence in ETH  :P ), but you never lose, "you win or you learn" :)

And right now there is so many possible scenario for Bitcoin that I realize it is really hard to make a profit.
For example, since the peak at $4235 I see a correction in 5 waves, down to $3565, and then from there a pump to $4000, another wave down to $3600, and we could again head to $4100. And we go back down to a disappointing $3100 for a while before leaving this zone to go up again. But this means we are in this zone fr a while.
Apologies if it is not clear, just to say that it is becoming more and more unpredictable, even though I still personally believe we will be back to $6000 soon.

In the bear market, few investors want to risk ICO projects. because founders creating ICO projects are not always good. In the bear market, ICO projects will be very difficult to develop and they will face difficulties in many things, so they can also create ICO projects for fraud. I think investing in ICO projects is now very risky.

Honestly, until 2 months ago there were enough coins / tokens that I sold because I already felt that the end of this year would not be better than before and indeed that is real evidence. Besides that, will I buy back the coin even now which is cheaper? I don't know, it's not mine, but if it's possible, I'll do it.

I really feel, as an investor and accompanied by the current market conditions is quite surprising and makes me lose confidence again.

Im not saying im not an investor since i have putted up some money came from my own wallet but generally most of my earnings is thru working so it doesnt really matter at all or would stress up too much
if crypto would go down its price to the floor.Yes, i have spend my time and effort but it would be entirely different to the situation if you are a heavy investor or shall we say millions of usd
been put up.

I cant blame if people would have such insights on losing confidence because we do have different inputs and beliefs when it comes to crypto tech.

I doubt that. As soon as the price goes back above the price people bought at, they will regret having sold their coins at a loss and will very likely fomo in again but hold tight this time will the price go down.

People need to be proven wrong, and the only way for them to be proven wrong is to see Bitcoin make new highs, which it eventually will. Patience is what we need and we have always been generously rewarded for that.

By nature most average people buy that what's going up, which also explains why they have taken a dive into pot stocks this year. Real companies, but the same level of speculation and pumps and dumps....

Despite the fact that this is long fall too, we had similar falls in past, recovery was always amazing. It's hard to say how well it will recover in near future but I strongly believe in 2020 we will see a huge rise and one reason of this for me is halving. Last rise was followed to halving, despite the fact that it wasn't immediate and took some months, it happened, have same hope in future.

I definitely have lost a bit of confidence in buying during the last few months where the price of BTC has continued to slip downwards, but I'm not going to completely stop buying in either. I'm still holding on to as many coins as I can afford to hold (most of my stash), but I still believe this is a prime time to buy in if you haven't started buying yet, especially if you're thinking about going into long-term storage and holding your coins for an extended period of time. The crypto fundamentals still haven't changed since we reached an ATH, however, and things are only going to improve from here.

I haven't invested large and that's why my confidence is intact. If there was other way around I would be concerned. Since this is not the first time that market suffers this kind a trend and after while it goes around again, I feel pretty relaxed. I have a regular job, working for salary and have a space to keep my coins. Once a while a have a urge to sell my coins to take care of some life needs but now is no good time for that. Also I am gaining some more coins from bounty campaigns and making my stash larger.

All of crypto is a scam, no one even uses this shit, no companies even accept this shit.  it is 1000x easier to just to use a normal bank and at least your money is safe.  These magic beans aka beanie babies are going to be worthless.

well, of course I still believe in cryptocurrency. maybe now, the development is hampered because the price is quite low. however, I am sure, the development will continue to improve. maybe this is when bitcoin goes down, however, I am also convinced of its recovery.
The development will continue and more and more new interested investors will risk their money around this market, the industry will pursue and those who gave up will comeback and reinvest, this kind of assets needs a long term assessment trust and patience will be the key to survive and earned.
Yeah this turnaround and dynamic will happen naturally, people who already sell, will definitely come back to invest, even though you are disappointed and lose confidence because the price falls, you will come back to believe when the price goes up again, and you will definitely re-buy.

I have my confidence to continue as the investor in the cryptocurrency because I see a big chance for this technology to grow bigger in the future and I want to be a part of this technology. Even if I don't trade like other people, I think it's enough if I only keep my coins in the wallet and waiting for the price to grow high. I will buy more and more the potential coins and hold it because this is the chance for me to have more asset for my wealth.

In paper the Bakkt bitcoin offerings really look solid. However, we really need to get that one hurdle, the approval. I'm seeing a positive scenario that the price could really push the price to 10K USD, might take some time though, but it will get the job done. A Bitcoin ETF and a Bakkt approval combined will really boost the market to even higher grounds, but a ETF is a long shot to me. Anyhow, it's gonna be exciting, as early as this time we have something to wait for that might really turn this market around.

Are you investing in bitcoin for the short term and in altcoins for the long term? If that fits you strategy and you know very well what you are doing then that is fine, I just find it to be odd because I'm following exactly the opposite strategy, when it comes to long term investing there is only one coin in which I can think and that is bitcoin but when I see an opportunity in the market of altcoins I take it but as soon as that is over I go back to bitcoin.

Its better than have nothing at all.Right? We are waiting for those event to happen atleast we are seeing some light that the market will able to recover up.Imagine 2018 is indeed a full year of bearish trend and now we are on the 1st quarter of 2019 and those upcoming events will tell if Crypto market do still have the chance to boom up in spite of these situations.Lots of people already lose hope and confidence due to loss of money but
i believe we are still in the middle of such great innovation and adoption.

I never lose my confidence level but still, i am trying to find good potential by following their channels in this bearish mode because once i get profit i used to buy those when they are at a low value. Instead of losing faith in the market it is better to find good potential project releasing every month which makes me think more positive about the crypto market.

I wonder how accurate in predicting levels to exit and then to buy back ? It is everyone's dream to ride on the markets but practically I am not finding it is easier to predict the levels accurately so I am not able to making use of profits to buy more the same assets. I am simply holding my bitcoins. It means that I am also not losing my confidences. But at the same time, I am not preferring to sell at peak for the reason of buying back at low.

Instead of losing faith in the market it is better to find good potential project releasing every month which makes me think more positive about the crypto market.
You mean new altcoins ? Due to the struggle with most altcoins, many people have lost their confidence with crypto markets . Instead of considering to get into altcoins, I feel it is much better to stay away from them and just holding bitcoins is more than enough to secure my future.

No, I'm still 100% crypto believer.
I understand fully on what's happening in the market, there are always ups and down that is why crypto volatility is high.
In times that people are panicking, that's the time I feel secure because I understand that when they dump, there are people who are eager to buy.

What I put in my mind is that when whales can manipulate the price to dump, they can also do the opposite, so that's what I'm waiting to take place this year.

Losing your confidence would only mean that your mind is weak to handle market risks and you did not understand the market risk properly when entering it in the first place. Newbies can often fall prey of such emotions but they gradually learn to get over it and rectify their mistakes. Then again some people would stop trading or investing and call crypto a scam.  :D

The safer bet is always the top 10 altcoins except the forked shitcoins. Most ICOs will abandon the project after a year or so when team vesting periods are over and then it will be lost as a shitcoin dump.

I don't lose faith, I'm just disappointed because the market has gone down too much. in the stock market is as bad as our market. That is fate and we need to accept it. If we go on disappointing, we don't set a new strategy, we will die first.
I am planning to trade in some new altcoins. I don't invest in ICO anymore, it's garbage.

No matter how confident you are you should never go all in on one thing.  The number one rule for investing is to diversify.  I'm a strong believer in crypto but I still keep some money in gold and stocks to hedge against a major crash.  The thing is even gold, real estate, and stocks have risk to them as well.  Granted it is not as high risk as crypto but the possibility of a crash is still there.

but the risk is lesser due to volatility but well in all investments there would always comes with a risk and this should really be put up on our mind. Losing confidence is just temporary and you should fixed your

You make it hold for only coins that have potential for a long term hold. We knows how the market flows and it came to a huge changes that crypto won't be that much profitable as of before.
Investors will look for profits as they could risk huge amount of money just for these but losing to much would make a decision to diversify into other form of investment.

Confidence as an investor will always fade if the market you are investing with is at its state of coldness but it is still up to you if you have the passion to pursue investing in that industry then go. As an investor, you should always expect things you did not mean to expect. Before you went committed, you should have known and been ready for the risks it would take to your investment. In Bitcoin, I would like you to at least try to save some of your assets and just let the price go low or high. If it goes up, you win, if it goes low, that's still fine. Just try and save some assets you can hatch someday.

A substantial amount I could guess, those newbies need a reality check and need the market to show to them it will not be that easy, once they understand it they can begin the process to grow as investors and traders which if done right could be the key that brings them the success they were looking for.

You are right about that. 99% of the noobs entering the crypto space think it to be a place where fantasies about making money and getting rich are true and end up buying some shitcoin for 1000$ hoping it will pump to 1000x in a few days. Heck they were trapped by some people who dumped on them. ;D

Quote
those newbies need a reality check and need the market to show to them it will not be that easy, once they understand it they can begin the process to grow as investors and traders which if done right could be the key that brings them the success they were looking for.
Truely speaking, every newbie needs one to two years of simple exposure to the market without actual trading. Thats how I have learnt things here myself and even if sometimes you feel bored its the best way to learn.

I never experience to become investors since I had been started in this business aspects of industry.
So how should I know the feelings of that scenario. But in my assessment to some of the investors they feel this things when
the market is falling I think, base on my perception as well.

In some cases, it is possible to lose patients due to continuous drops in the market. But with the market recovery, there might be chances for the investor to stay strong in the market. So always try to be positive in the crypto market because the chances of recovering prices are possible.
There is no need for anyone to lose hope this time. The price seems to have reached the bottom price, it has been stable all this while and remained at $3,800+. This is even the best time anyone that wants to wait for the bull run to buy and hodl till then. If you don’t buy now it might be late for you. And as for those that have had their coins stuck in their wallet due to loss, the best they can do is to keep on hodling. If possible for them, they should even buy more at this low rate.

did the extreme hustle of the bearish markets ended everything for you and even compelled you in such a way that you're now no more going to put anything in cryptocurrencies?
I didn’t lose my confidence . This was another opportunity for me to buy cryptocurrency at a more cheaper rate. I never expected the price to go this low after reaching that $19,500. So this is a good opportunity for me and I didn’t waste time in buying once it dropped low to $3k. It’s only those that didn’t sell when it was at $19k that would be talking losing confidence lol. As for me, it’s an opportunity.

In my opinion, the worst days have already passed, and the future looks bright for Bitcoin and other well known altcoins. Many evidences refer that Crypto is on its way to get much wider adoption in many sectors, therefore I think it's big fault to sell now unless you are in need for money.

The future has not been able to determine this market if we want to have a future, we need investors and big countries to accept this market soon, the value of Bitcoin can increase. Currently people are showing signs of losing more money and they are feeling worse when staying in this market

Yes, I lost confidence when I started up my career and joined up on broker like InstaForex. They were absolutely terrible with their Anti-Fraud department, which troubled me big time and almost to stage where I wanted to quit, but that’s life you got to move on! Thankfully, I recovered and now actively trading.

Why I will lose my confidence? I know that I cannot regain all of my losses if I will lose my confidence. I'm still gaining more information and experiences that I can use to handle the different situations that I will face.

What are real digital assets ? This is the first time you are going to buy or are you already holding some cryptos ? If you did not face any big losses with the downfall we had in 2018, I believe you may start afresh like you sound but for people here who had the big frustrations in 2018, what you are saying may not be attractive as they have heard like this many times and their expectations were failed on those times.

I believe no one will be existing like they had booked profits by end of 2017 and might have been waiting all the months of 2018 and then planning right now to buy back at current markets. Even some people have book profits in 2017 they might have re-entered at some times in 2018 and now they are also into potential losses. Facing situations like this is very common but I believe most of crypto adopters have not lose their confident as we all believe into long term whereas short-term is mostly unpredictable and frustrating.

Crypto investors who are believing in to the futures in long-term definitely had not lost their confidence but I'm sure most of the mid term players might have decided to stay away from cryptos and they might have started focusing into some other opportunities.

I have enough self control to manage my emotion for me to not lose confidence as a investor. There are some investors who are now quitting to make investment due to the risks that they are taking. They do not now have the confidence to face risks.

Trading cryptocurrencies is not for the faint of heart. If you are used to trading stocks and switched to trading cryptocurrencies then you need to adjust your appetite for risk from medium to high. I still have my confidence in cryptocurrencies as there's a lot of opportunities this 2019 that traders can take advantage. This Ethereum hard fork this month alone is an opportunity. Price of ETH climbed 78% from December 07, 2018 at $88 USD to $157 today.

In my opinion, only hold doesn't bring anything substantially good. Yes, some investors who don't want to learn how to trade see this as a way out of the current situation and in their situation this is justified.
But personally, I continue to trade no matter that the market is bearish. And instead of holding and losing money every day, I trade and earn.

Bounty campaigns will also experience the same effect if investors still do not believe in the pattern of ICO distribution which continues to delay many things even though they have exceeded the minimum sales target. but my trust as an investor has improved since there was an IEO which was a systematic agreement between ico from the project developer and the exchange market.

So the result was their investment has been run away by the developer in the project. But there are still good ico which are legit that has been arise here in the forum in my own perception.

Bounty campaign earnings can potentially give you out some profits or earnings but the chances of this declining market is lesser. We do know the current condition of the market
all is almost down so as well with projects or ICO's. We might see another bear market of this year but it doesn't mean that investors did already left on crypto.

Those investors that put their faith in icos probably lost much more than their confidence, they lost almost all their capital, it is not difficult to imagine how much most of the icos crashed when we see the huge losses some of the main coins gave to investors, so the problem for those people is not really the confidence they lost but the capital they are never going to recover and that they wasted in coins which were not worth it.

I have not fully recovered from the loss I invested in a crypto currency ICO project. I was very disappointed with the incident. now I'm just doing a bounty campaign to get income in lieu of my lost funds
that's good way for us in order to recovered our loss in trading.if this condition continue till end of year i am worry much investors will left from cryptocurrency market.
Bounty campaign earnings can potentially give you out some profits or earnings but the chances of this declining market is lesser. We do know the current condition of the market
all is almost down so as well with projects or ICO's. We might see another bear market of this year but it doesn't mean that investors did already left on crypto.
Don't forget ICO progress at 2018 not really good if compared with 2016/2017, we can see there are a lot of project that still not good in market and then make investor stuck in their investment. Hope this thing not make really bad for this business.

I honestly say yes. Sometimes I lose my confidence as a investor especially when you see that the market is still bear and also many problems that we are facing in our life. But still we need to strong and trust our self that everything will be alright especially our investment in crypto.

We need to learn how to find something good even in bad situations. Look at the problem from another side - the bear market has given you a lesson how to be more cautious when picking cryptos.

No need to be worth mate because it’s not gonna happen and no body will leave the market because it’s not very high in price and as time passing bitcoin is being expensive so hopefully again things will get better but still it need our supporters to invest and help it grow for our own good future I am still very confident.

I believe in crypto, but I lost my faith from the bull market and all those predictions about a pumping market. The sad but true thing is I am starting  to believe in negative predictions! because I have seen all negative predictions went real in 2018! Like Bitcoin under 4K, ETH under 100 USD! So, I stop investing in crypto rather I am now a full-time trader and I think everything will be alright sooner or later!

I think many newbies loss money in crypto because they just hold it without any risk management. All crypto going down too much and this is beyond prediction. I loss confidence at the moment until the price will going up again. But i believe actually now is best times to make invest in crypto.
The problem is not holding but the inability of the newbies to hold long enough, you can choose to become a trader or an investor and when you invest you should be thinking about the long term prospects of your investment and be ready to hold your investment no matter what happens, but newbies do not understand that so they hold their coins but when the losses begin to accumulate they panic and they sell, and holding is a strategy which does not admit those kind of adjustments, you are either a holder or you are not, there is no middle ground.

Yeah, this will make us survive in bad situations. And if you think you find one or two coins which can be a good investment, then you can invest but only use the money you can afford because you learn from the bad time in the last year. The bear will go and the bull will come, it's for sure. We only need to believe that the time will come to us so we can make a profit from the investment in any coins we have.

If you are not good at choosing coin this can result as bad experience better you know which is highly promising coin and which has high potential only then invest. Be confident and don’t lose your hope price of bitcoin is getting better now. Best coin for all new traders is bitcoin that has high potential and previous market record.

First of all, we have to understand cryptocurrencies are a very risky investment and once after investing it is impossible to sell them in the market for low prices. So always be confident when the price went down in the market because definitely there is a chance to increase when the market starts recovering for that we need to wait sometime if you lose confidence definitely you will lose money in cryptocurrency.

investing in several project scams actually makes my confidence decrease, especially when the crypto price starts to go back down. yeah, but I think that's the mistake I made. well, maybe I invest in the wrong project. maybe next, I have to be careful in things like this. well, this is also a lesson for other friends. not all projects must end scam, it all depends on the project.

You should take a break for holding as it’s not good to sell at panic but never stop or take break to buy those coins. That’s nature of crypto that it volatile so be patient and keep investing even in bad days because it’s out confidence and our internal faith that keeps us in touch with our investment so the only thing that need to say is NEVER STOP.

I think bitcoin and the crypto market will recover later so I have to remain positive on its future. Bitcoin has its own price declines before the 2017 bullrun and several of them are price crashes that made the top coin seems dying that time but it bounces back and reached that all-tme high later. Try to remain positive about the future of the market because there is a right time for another bullrun.

And when will you come back? the price of bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a whole can suddenly rise without you knowing it. I am not sure you are really back when the price goes up or at least you will come back when the price of bitcoin rises to $5000, because you will think the price of bitcoin will decline again. Take a break to invest is indeed important, but you don't have to leave all of your bitcoin to change to money fiat. I suggest you can exchange half of the bitcoins that you have for you to save, the rest you save in bitcoin.

Governments wont legalize crypto. Its supposed to be a cultish thing and will remain like that for years. Though looking at the attendees at the World Blockchain Summit I was pretty impressed seeing that crypto was able to unite cultures and people of different generations crossing all international borders. Even then investors should care more about the money they have and less about how much the bear market has effect on the projects. Its a bad time for the ICO projects but there will be good times as well.

Been hodling for 2 years now.

Researched regarding certain coin for 3 weeks, tried to find holes in the plan. Couldn't, so I bought. 2 years next month.

When you invest, an amount that is forgettable to you, in something that has actual, real life problem solving potential, and you only keep seeing progress, it is VERY EASY to hold.

The price doesn't matter if you think the "final product" will be worth much, much more.
I can hodl like that for another 2 years. Or 5. Or 20.

Unless progress and fundamentals change, there is NO reason to stop believing (objectively) in a project.

With low capitalization and more adoption, crypto market should be keep bigger in the long term. I keep hold until maximum 2 years and i believe in that times, market capitalization of crypto will be above $1 trilliun.

Actually you need to take big risk to earn a big profit. Crypto market is not so good enough right now. I have strong belief that investing in crypto will lead to becoming a millionaire. You can invest some money for long term like 5/6 years. This is obviously a good idea. Long term investment in crypto is a not so easy. Because you'll see very good profit as well as losses. But you have have patience & act smart. You need to observe the market & set a goal/ investment period. After that time you may plan to sell.

As an investor one need to know much about the market before making a large scale investment. Investing into cryptocurrencies need to be done at the right time, importantly it needs to be done when tree market was bearish. If the investment is in the peak the risk we take on investing is very big. Confidence level will not go low with the users who have been observing the market long term.

The only Bitcoin investors who are not in a significant profit position relative to other investment options and to the time frame in question are those who have invested within the last year and a half or so.

I have loss confidence in my trading strategy from time to time specially when i buy  or sold my coin and suddenly opposite things happenfrom my action it really make my confidence lesser but for the positive side it helpm me to improve more my trading skill. So at that time, we need to think twice about the market instead of bothering we should hold the coin because we already know cryptocurrency adoption is kept increasing which it will help us to make more money along with the bitcoin price.
I think it's natural when someone experiences lose confidence because of changes in market prices that disappoint them. moreover if the price in the market does not go up or recover like now? of course many people experience lose confidence, thats why prices don't go through improvements
Now it is getting high don’t think so negative and those who are investors since long should know it is just temporary fall infect they should take advantage from it and buy some coin at this golden opportunity and later on sell high price, so I did not lose my confidence as being an investors and trader I was told not to use my emotion in this field and take decision accordingly.

If we mean in tradings maybe yes a series of upset situation can make us confuse on how things going on our investment but surely we can recover it back when the bull hits the deck, but if we talk about ICO investment then maybe that's a different story since many ICO's are in so shit and I can't afford to withstand on holding much hope that they will go on their ICO price. Better to buy them up when they are done abd everyone's are dumping and earn when perfect time to come.

For ICO investment then i do already lost hope to put up more money. Its better to wait up for tokens to be listed on exchangers an wait up for the dump and thats the time you would buy.
Not talking about generally but only choose a few which do really have potential. Confidence is mainly affected but as an investor it do really needs to risk up something if you do really like to profit.

Congrats mate. This is great news for you that your country has been accepted cryptocurrency! So many good news around the crypto industry at this moment. Every piece of good news about crypto makes me happy and I think investors will gain the confidence to invest or involve actively in the crypto market! I have known many people who stopped coming in this forum and in trading, now they are planning to be active here. So, no one can leave this great platform, because crypto is our love, hope, and opportunity.

Im still holding my coins as of today because i still believe that crypto market will recover soon. Instead of crying, I took it as a great experience and will be a lesson learned for me to become more stronger mentally and won't quit after losing my money. I have faith in crypto 100%.

Halving process(bitcoin) is one of the most awaited by crypto users, trust is formed in the long run, short-term progress is only a kind of interconnected progress but does not have the effect of destruction as long as volume remains in large capitalization. I am very confident about that.

Well if you don't have any confidence in the market anymore then probably you don't have any money in it. It can't be a danger to you if you're only a spectator because you don't trust bitcoin. The things is that you may lose a potentially good investment in the future because you're not thinking long term.

Investors really dont quit and lose confidence into something that easily and i know that this market will recover soon.

It depends upon how much money you invested and how much you gained or lose in all this time. Many investors who invested when the prices were very high, may have lost confidence in crypto and they think that crypto will never recover.

For me, I have a lot of trust in crypto, despite the fact that my portfolio is still Red as I have been in loss for many coins but I believe that all the coins along with bitcoin will recover this year.

This is good for you, as our confidence is our strength and our power, if we will stay strong we will make money but if we will lose our confidence we will not earn anything, so just keep one thing in mind that your profit and lose is in your hand, if you see price is getting down then hold and wait to see things normal, I am also holding and I am hoping to see price getting to the track once again.

No, I did not yet and I will not ever. The reason behind that is purely the potential this business and technology has. And if you have the knowledge to invest in good projects and coins, you are well off and have an edge over others. The market is a very cyclical place and at times you might loose value as well but that should not stop you from investing again and making profits when it is about to boom.

I keep on holding my assets for the whole year of 2018 and expect that the market will bounced back but it did not so i extending my patience again for this year with hope that the market will become healthy once again but if the price to continue to fall below $3,000 then i will leave this investment in dismay.

The division between newbies and crypto enthusiasts depends upon their experience as an investor. Normally for a newbie, they are maximizing their resources in order to prevent from losing their investments. In contrast, experienced crypto-investors also do their part by studying the market while maintaining their composure regardless of the result from a bearish-bullish market.
As someone who is in the middle between the two, I normally check the market and study the volume, market cap, liquidity, and current events to know whether to sell or purchase more coins.

Honestly, i'm lossing my confidence with this market perfomance because of tired of waiting of the bullish market to start. I keep on holding my assets for the whole year of 2018 and expect that the market will bounced back but it did not so i extending my patience again for this year with hope that the market will become healthy once again but if the price to continue to fall below $3,000 then i will leave this investment in dismay.

Before you set a portion of your income to investing, consider them as the money that you are willing to lose. Classify your investments whether for short or long-term depending on your needs. If you think that your initial investment made a slight profit margin from the volatility of bitcoin, then do not hesitate to cash-out. If you invested when the time of each coin was around $8,000-$20,000, then it is better to HODL your coins and consider them for long-term.

That's how the market situation is going to be, we need to be very clear when we entered the market. Before entering we have to think twice because sometimes the market situation cannot be the same and sometimes we need to hold them for more than 2 or 3 years without any profit.

If due to the down market you draw out the investment you have put in the crypto market, that would be accepting the defeat I think. Every market is prone to fluctuations and I think that one should understand this because you just cannot enter and exit every market as it dries down a bit. We had big fall in the values of Bitcoin in 2013, and it recovered and stopped at the highest value ever in 2017.

I have never lost my faith as an inventor. Because I know once I lose my faith then all my investment will be damaged. So, despite my loss of investment, I never lose faith in myself. I always believe in myself. Both profits and losses will be invested. But then faith cannot be lost. Because one day it will be a day to gain.

The investment will come in profit. I always keep this word in my head. If I lose my investment then I have patience. Never be frustrated. My belief helps me achieve goals. So faith should be kept intact. The investment will have to be profitable.

Thank you.

Instead of you have losing confidence, you can motivate your self in investing more while the crypto market is too much cheap. I personally not having on that feeling because I know if I'm losing it will recover once the market will grow itself. I'm not worried if the market goes down I know the time comes it will bounce back at the right time. So, at this moment we're just going with the flow in the market situation nothing to lose confidence.

Nah! Failures, mistakes and regrets are my mentors. It doesn't matter what type of an investor you are. Experiencing things should be a hindrance for a person to grow. This industry could be harsh, and in reality there will always be a loser. It's a matter of how one will view it. As an investor those things will never be a hindrance for me to succeed and in achieving my goals.

To all those investor/s who are in the edge of giving up, try to think why'd you start in the first place (this is a quote, I've heard in a local song just forgot the title). Odds may not always on our side, hence, don't be so easy to give up, there are still a lot of opportunities ahead just be positive in dealing those negative things that may come.

Then if you are deeply matured investors there's no reason for us to lose our confidence, because any negative thoughts that will come into our mind of course we will avoid it at once or as much as we can, due to its not helpful. On the contrary, If I'm a newbie today, I wouldn't lose confidence though. I will take advantage of the situation, buy cheap bitcoin and just hold on it and wait for the perfect time to sell them.

The problem with newbies though is that they have little patience on this market. Maybe those investors are still young and really thinks that they can make a lot of money in short span of time, or least that's what they heard. But it's not always the case, patience is the key here, if you don't have lots of them then you will eventually fail here and will just go out.

What an investor should think is to believe in what he has bought and maintained. If you are an investor you should have the thought that you should wait for the time that is necessary until bitcoin or altcoin goes up, and that is not instantaneously, that takes time. Every investor has time and money, for that same reason is that bitcoin always lasts for a long time in the phase that we are currently accumulating.

Correct, if you are truly believing with this investment, instead of losing your confidence you will take this as an opportunities to buy more, as the market
rise will follow after this downfall, many newbies forget about studying the flow, they are just simply being move by the current trend and they are allowing
losing their money without further investigations before reacting with the fall.

That's true because we are the one can manage it well what we have in crypto. So always take opportunity and don't miss anything. We know how risky in crypto so the best we can do is to learn more how handle everything in here and especially our emotions.

But worrying a lot will not gonna help for this long term journey.
We have to be strong so we will not be affected by our weak emotion that could lead us to a bad decision making.
Look more on the fundamentals that the price movement because price can be manipulated while the fundamentals cannot.

We have that kind of emotions once in a while. When our invested coins are kinda dropping seriously and we are hanged. Emotions are getting in our nerves telling us to  sell the coins and just give up. But luckily, investors like us should never give up and should had a back up plan to at least avoid this kind of circumstances.

Not at all, investing in altcoins is still confident despite falling prices but is sure it will recover someday, different if I invest in an ICO project and token that has lost the confidence to enter because of worries about mistakes in the past. Falling prices do not mean investors lose the confidence to invest in crypto, because there are lots of coins with good projects that are still worth investing.

There is no reason for the loss of trust in investing crypto because prices are falling like now, very reasonable in crypto. It is precisely this opportunity to buy more. Prices are falling like now are opportunities to buy because prices will be cheaper, if we hold back until prices return to skyrocket, it will be profit. I will still buy a few coins that have good development for me, this is an opportunity to make a profit. So there is no need to hesitate or to lose trust because this is normal in crypto.

It still depends on what kind of investor are you, if you think long term you will still have confidence in the market, in fact you will even buy more because bull run will always come at the right time, only newbies lose confidence in the current market situation.

First you need to understand this market and also spend some time on this history of price movements of bitcoins. Then you will realize that this is still not the end and BTC will rise once again. This is infact a golden chance to buy bitcoins at below 4000$ and keep it save for future. Even if bitcoin rise to all time high again to 20,000$, this will be a direct 5x profit which is good one.

That's right, we should not loss our confidence, otherwise, there's no point of investing.
We are down big time already if we did not sell last year until now, so since our investment has really gone down, we should now go all in.
No going out when the market is still bearish, we have to hold no matter how long and will wait until bull run will start.

They'll might be losing their investors too cause of some big issues coming from them, scams projects are certainly making a way that investors will never give trust into ICO's. The entire crypto market were hardly affected and causing failure to some legit projects.
Investors will keep investing as long as we are still making money but for the current situation, it sometimes I just limit my investment by then just to be safe.

And if you learn new ways to distinguish a good project from a scam then you will do fine in the future, it is not an easy task especially if we take into account the huge amount of scams going on in the market but the most important part is that it can be done.

You just need to focus on it and while it is hard it needs to be done because there is no other way to generate profits in the market and your competition is working that hard to get your money.

If you loose you interest or faith or confidence as an investor in the cryptocurrency and stop spending your money but rather prefer to stock it in bank, you are no longer a businessman.

A businessman never keeps his money in his account but rather diversifies and invests it in many other businesses. So, it is rather foolish to loose confidence if you are hit by a down market. You should know about the potential of the cryptocurrency.

It doesn't make sense if you lose your confidence here, because we all know what what's the possibility when we entered the market.

It has it's up and down trend and the price is very volatile. So if you are a smart investor, you know that this is just a test and you need to have a lot of patience in order to win in this game.

Well in the end of 2018, there was already the 50% dumping from Bitcoin prices but if I recall Alts recovered quickly. I put Eth in when it was $400 so I'm actually still in a huge loss. But you should have known that crypto is all about cycles and patience. If you weren't even willing to wait a year or even 2 or 3 years, then you really should have stayed away. Sorry to hear about your loss last year. This is indeed bad and it happens due to the mistakes the traders make. This is the pure and sole reason why they suggest to learn and get command over the areas crucial in the trading in future.

Since, we are having some positive trends in Bitcoin, you can possibly compensate for your losses with a rise in the market value of the coin.

Don't worry bro you will get back again your money because I believe to the ethereum to become thousands of dollars and the highest of what bitcoin reached highest value. So if you have 20 ethereum possible for you to get hundred thousands dollars after few years of holding. I bought ethereum when the value is very low so even the ethereum now is low Im still earn if I sell it but not today because my confidence is still here and I believe still to rise the value of it.
Perhaps most people here have not lost all faith in this market, although recent incidents have swept away almost all assets, even bring us an endless sadness but people still understand that the story of collapse and glorious return is no stranger to crypto. Now, we may feel that everything is losing a lot, but someday, when we wake up, we will see the profit coming and the loss disappear, and the most important thing to get this result is to never give up and be confident of our investment
If a novice is studying cryptocurrency and a cryptocurrency market, then from the very beginning he must understand why and why there is a cryptocurrency. There is already some benefit to society from the cryptocurrency market. If a person comprehends these basics, it will really be understood that it is long-term investments that will bring a good return as a result. Based on this, it is safe to say that each of us should think about the future, and not about income today.

No, my trust is still with me. I see my investment diminishing in value, but I realize it's not the end. I know things will change. Ahead of the cryptocurrency there are many new discoveries and therefore its price will not stop there.

Feel really frustasing from this very long bearish and biggest dumped of altcoin,  i dont know when i can recover my loss.  Alot of good news around crypto  market but the trend still not change to bull run yet.  I still believe crypto market will change to bullish because there are more adoption of crypto and blockchain technology.

That's alright mate, we can get past to this bearish period, eventually a new bull run will come.
You need to control your emotion,so be smart and be patient as that's what you need to survive, there's no sense to be emotional
at this stage because it will not change the status we are currently in, all we can do is just hope the bull run will start soon.

In 2017 the bull market of crypto too huge and alot of altcoin was rally up to 100 x to 200x just in a few month,  so when the trend changed to bearish all altcoin also will crash and dumped hard up to 99%. And bearish is always change to bullish because this is the past history that we have seen before.

I believe there isn`t a person in this forum who didnt invest in at least one coin in 2017 bull run. After that entire market dropped hard, and all coins suffered, that was disturbing for all of us, but I wouldnt go so far to say that all of us lost confidence. Some people panic and sell, others are keeping what they bought and they wait for good times to sell. We didnt lose confidence, we dont panic, we are putting more effort to have more coins when next bull run starts.

Exactly this varies from individual to individual. Those who had initially speculated in ETH at the lowest price available never lost their confidence as investors in the cryptocurrency as compared to those who invested when the bull was already set invested at high prices which after the fall turned into low values. So this is very natural for them. Sorry to hear about your loss. But the market might improve and that way would compensate for your losses.

- I'm not sure what you're saying is correct because I see a lot of comments and opinions of people in the forum, although everyone says they still believe and never panic before this collapse, I even told myself every day about that problem but the fact that I cannot hide is that I was frightened, everyone was frightened, we lost a lot of confidence in this market. But even if we have lost faith, we cannot give up, hold and continue to light small beliefs, which is what we must do, we have no other choice, the faith problem is not so much meaningful in this period

Every investor feels a decrease of self-confidence because of the bearish market. Everything will go back when the market become green for a long period of time. Loosing the confidence being an investor doesn't mean of loosing of funds too. My confidence didn't fade out but it decreases like I can't even do trading now.

Of course, we want to have bull run just to repay for our self in keeping to hold our coins  and patiently wait for the right time. Hoping that we all not be disappointed this time.

I think that the only thing missing for the current state of the cryptocurrency market is real investment in cryptocurrency. For this, it is necessary to increase interest in cryptocurrency for new investors, which means that it is necessary to popularize cryptocurrency in society. So, in any case, investing in a cryptocurrency in one way or another only provides real benefits for the development of a cryptocurrency market.

Be ready anytime on being disappointed because hoping too much for a bull run would only give you out some stress along the way or
would just simply testing out your patience. We might not able to see the same movement just like what happened on 2017 but atleast i would prefer
on seeing a gradual increase in price yet this do signifies some strong foundation and cant really be corrected too deeply.

P.S.: This is just a poll, so don't take it as a measurement to decide whether to remain and/or invest in crypto or not.

as investors we are not desperate in facing crypto exams, as well as a drastic decline this year, but also we are always careful to make the decision to invest in the ico project, my last message is that the crypto world will definitely stabilize again, I'm sure of that. .

As a investor we need to find most potential coins in the market because if we invest in the ICO we don't know exactly whether they have the capability to increase but surely after listing in the exchange according to the development the prices will start increasing. As investor we have to follow these things otherwise, we might loose more money in the market.

With the current market situation now, investing in ICO is not already profitable.
The best strategy is to invest on undervalued coins, we have a lot of that now since bearish times make it happen.

Depending on the investor but we should not loss our confidence, instead we should consider this timing a great buying opportunity.
People always said it's a great time to buy, and I believe it's true since we are in bearish mode many times in the crypto world.

Cryptocurrency will rise again in the future guys. If you'll look at the history of bitcoin, since its beginning, it falls and it rises again. And whenever there is a big dump, there is a big pump. Well as you can see sudden rise in 2018, there's  big dump. What's next? Look at the history. That's how bitcoin works. And the rise can be never predicted but we can see it coming soon.

True, as a trader if we lose our confidence it doesn't mean we are losing our funds, But i heard most of the traders stories, when they have loss in trading, time to time they lose their confidence.
It is human nature, when we get loss, in that moment we feel in our mind that it is our mistake and that's why we have lost. So in this time, if we keep our mind and think that it is not our fault and just to start trade then may be we can't lose our confidence.

The good news is that the trend says that every time BTC dip, the next price movement will be going uptrend hard, and that's possibly gonna
bring a new bull run to the market.

Of course, I did not think that the bear market would be so long, but I expected it to be. Cryptocurrencies grew too fast in 2017 - early 2018. The bubble was supposed to burst, and it burst. For me the most important thing is that the fundamental value of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies has not changed at all. Projects continue to grow, the demand for blockchain specialists is growing, companies are working to integrate the blockchain with the real economy. All this means that the blockchain is not dead, but simply is in a temporary correction. Therefore, I am ready to wait for 3-5 years.

I accepted the loss.. sold all my coins and used the money to start trading.
Much more my thing.

When I have more capital I will return to investing in a small way.

Some time market situation may be unpredictable which we cannot able to control our emotions which makes us sell them in the market. That's why every trader will suggest us to hold the coins in the market as long as possible until we make some decent profit. Due to market fluctuation makes us think in a negative way.

Yes I lose all my confidence and money. When I was new to cryptocurrency I started to mine cryptos but in the past few years I tried to focus on investing to cryptocurrency and new projects but most of them ended up as a failure but I didn't lose hope at that time and I tried to invest to some known crypto at that time and after some time it keeps crashing and crashing and most people said that "HODL is the key" and as a new investor I followed their advice but then I realized that HODL is not always the key sometimes we really need to sell it to avoid further losses.

Even though the market is bearish trend for many months. I still have strong belief that this period will be over soon and bitcoin bull market will commence soon. Although i saw many of my friends quit the bitcoin and crypto currencies, however i am not one of them.

Yeah if you are not losing patience you will get profit because our confidence gives us motivation to keep investing and keep holding, price rises and falls this is very normal thing but taking advantage of it is all your decision don’t give up just keep holding I am sure very soon you will make money and will gather more confidence to be a good investor.

Once you understand it's normal, you wouldn't panic anyway.
Losing your confidence is tantamount to giving up crypto investing, at the start we are aggressive because we are seeing a good price and now we loss our confidence, it should not be that way, we have to put in mind that crypto is still in early stage and development comes in the later stage.

That will help us to hold and be calm.

Right now we are seeing a massive movement of bitcoin we do not know if this is the bull market that people have been waiting for but that should tell you something that being willing to wait for the right moment to invest is critical if you want to make money in this market, think about it even if this is not a bull run the amount of money that you could have made if you just enter in the market at the right time and get out before it crashes is incredible which show us how powerful it can be to have the right knowledge and apply it in the right way.

So I hope this is a lesson for all of those that are very negative about the market and think there is no way to make money in it unless it begins to skyrocket for months.

sometimes yes, but I still see how other investors are never slack at all and remain optimistic, this is where communication with fellow investor communities is needed.

If we share experiences with one another, then it can at a minimum prevent entry into investment fraud, or ICO with weak potential. With varied analysis and alibi, it is certainly useful to strengthen decisions.

That's right, every trader may lose confidence whenever the market price will go down it's normal I guess and everyone has been waiting for the bull run to happen they said it was last year then it didn't happen, and then another speculation is this year it will definitely happen but despite all these speculations we really can't be sure that it will really happen, in fact when we started June this year there was a drop to $7100 but good thing it went back to $8600 today, I just hope it will continue to rise in the coming days and hopefully the bull run we all been waiting for will really happen.

I had mix experience as an investor. At times had some rough patch like others when the bear markets starts and you end up losing a lot unless you hold back and the value of the coins which you hold rises during good time. At times holding did helped as market recovered from the low and investing during such times actually helped me to make some gain and make out the average of the trade price.

not at all reduced in my confidence. I'm increasingly interested in investing in crypto after the emergence of the bustling IEO... IEO seems to bring a breath of fresh air and make my sleep comfortable because I have more confidence in projects that hold sales at IEO, especially in large exchanges and have good ratings.
