After the turn of the year there is no news that market prices will go up or down, do you see news that market prices will go up or down?

Maybe my question seems strange. But I really hope the price goes up a little.

Of course there are those of us who have sold altcoins, and there are also those who collect until waiting for the altcoin price to soar. I hope the New Year's Eve will change, it seems like I am too much daydreaming so I also hope the altcoin can go up even if only for a short time.
Does anyone think the same as me?  :)

With a lot of bad news coming recently, you can't aspect much on the first quarter of 2019. There can be some good news after the chinese new year.

I do think that crypto market will recover, but i can’t tell when. I notice that usually when the good news start coming up, it come altogether and the prices will start pumping.

My guess is that we are moving to a bullish trend. We have gone down a lot. $20k to $3.2kish. From last few days we are maintaining above $3.5k Although I never seen those technical analysis to work but they were saying $3.2K has strong support. Let's see which direction we are going.

I think that in a short time the market is difficult to improve, and market conditions are likely to recover in mid-2019, and then will be able to grow more stable.

Yes everyone is expecting a good news from the cryptocurrency market in 2019.The depression has been going on from a very long time now and the crypto market has not been able to recover since then.But people have faith in these digital currencies that they will definitely rise.People have held their cryptocurrencies in the hope that the prices will rise in the future and they will earn hige profit rates.Cryptos are an easy way to earn a lot of money.

Nothing is going to change in the next two days,we may see some bullish movement but not too long so need to be patient for the recovery time to come it may take time but not too longer than before end of 2019 in that mean time we will see the rise of cryptos or the end of it.

My recommendation is that you use your time to learn more about how the market moves, a good idea could be to learn technical analysis, while technical analysis is not correct all the time it can help you take better decisions when it matters, right now you are hoping things will change but you really do not have any idea if that will happen and now you are relying on the opinion of other people, which is not the best idea in a competitive market like this one.

I will stay positive and talk positive and im very optimistic that after a bearish 2018 there are high chances of recovery and bullish 2019, i think this new year will be full of positive and encouraging events for crypto especially related to adoption and usage.

We still see the value of the coin in the market is in the process of recovery, so up and down the value of the coin is not too high and still looks stable. I think you are right that altcoins will grow for a short time but not too much. by 40 percent i think. then they will fall when bitcoin will go below 3 thousand

There could be a psychological effect as we start a new year. Plenty of people have been predicting a new bull market, but there hasn't been any sign of it happening. We will have to wait and see. ETH's Constantinople fork could be a trigger for a rise, so that's probably the next thing to look out for.
It is probably a good idea to look back at historical price charts and see how these long bear markets tend to end. Everyone will have their own perspective, but the current situation isn't really unprecendented.

no news is going to tell you whether price is going to go up or go down! the news is  just reporting what has happened before not what will happen in the future.

if you want to know what is going to happen to prices then you have to start learning how to read charts and gain a good understanding of this market and the concept of pump and dumps.

Everyone in cryptocurrency are hoping that we can have a better market in this coming year 2019 that will give us a motivation that we can have chance of fulfilling our dreams of financial freedom. It's a dream for everyone to gain more profits and this technology has been proven that we can make it if we have patience in our investment and we had invested on the right coins that will become huge in the future. This market have changed millions of peoples life. In bad and in good ways. There are too many people who turned very rich, and also many people lost everything. Many people had psychiatric depression and having obsession about the cryptocurrency. We all need to see the recovery, this is all we waiting for.. I wish this situation wouldn't go in bad ways and we get happier then today..  I have a friend who check the coinmarketcap 1000 times in one day and i can say that is a something sick and wrong. many events that occurred occurred in 2018. from the start of falling prices, to hardfork bitcoin cash which made the market also affected. in 2019 everyone expects change, especially the bitcoin ethics that will make prices better.

Although it will not recover in this month, we cannot stop for hoping, I am sure it will end, and bitcoin and all altcoin will start to increase higher, and in that time, we will see the time for profit will come. Yes market will recover definitely but it cannot be turn back within short time i.e. on New years evening. We will see the increase of value in upcoming months of 2019. My new years resolution was to care about bitcoin price less this year. When it was going up and I was making a ton of money living the kings life I was too caught up with the spending money and being crazy about buying new stuff things, I end up spending like 100+ dollars into any game I play as well just for the fun (on top of the game I paid for) and insane vacations and constant going outs and so forth.

After that when price started to drop I started to go down even more and it became so bad that even tough I was making as much or even slightly more compared to previous years except the 2017 increase, I wasn't happy, I went from 1 to 20 to 3 for example but that 3 made me sadder than when I was 1, it was just horrible because when I was 1 I knew that 1 life but when I was 3 I knew that 20 life so I was incredibly upset.

This year I will focus on not caring about money because it shouldn't cover most of my life and focus on things that make me happy in life.

A lot of us are all looking forward to seeing a better crypto currency market prices in this 2019 lots of anticipations around price rise and I hope this will happens this year cos we've lots a lot and have HODL some others for longer than necessary 😉 and I also believe in anticipation of that price increase lots of people will take advantage of this market position to accumulate hoping for next bull market in 2019.

Today is another red market. I am very frustrated. I thought that crypto will have a good start on the first day of the new year. Although this does not mean anything, I just think that it will remain green on the first day. It will bring us good luck. What is disappointing is that the market is red on the first day, very bad.

Many people celebrate new year and trading activities is always very low in new year therefore we should not expect sharp price movement.  We are to begin to see traders coming back to the market any moment from next week and by then I expect us to see if bitcoin's price will continue down or we are going to see pricing going up.  I still believed that 2019 is going to be better than 2018. I agree with you and many speculators are saying the same thing.  Bitcoin should recover above $10,000 and we should expect ethereum above $800 this year.

Year 2018 is the baddest year for crypto, the market is in red marks and the coins have smaller values, even me I'm forcing to do dumping of my coins due to market situation because if we do hodl the more prices go down. Bull run's indicators for some coin are happening especially for Ethereum so this only says that the first quarter of ethereum will be good and hopefully for the rest of the year.

I think it was the same as in 2013 when the crypto was not increased high, but the difference is bitcoin price was not higher as now. There are tons of signs that show that the market will go down and no signs at all that it will go up.
One of the major reasons why there are indicators the market will go down is because of the global recession we are coming into.

It's bad.
The chinese and us stock markets have crashed not once but twice.
Loans are defaulting and we are basically at the same situation as the 2008 global crisis.

Yeah, in these conditions, no market is gonna go up.
So it's best to change strategy to expect a prolonged bear market.

indeed there is no news saying that after the turn of the year the market will rise, only a few people say that the market will pump this month but the reason they say that is because they saw the market chart that happened last year and assume that it will repeat in the year this

New year's eve is already gone by, but there's always a change not exactly when we are expecting but maybe first quarter this year or next quarter. All we can do is continue hoping for the best and do not loss our patience because every now and then it will bump quickly that even yourself are surprised.

I agree. The price does not show increase on the market. It would not easily recover and reach the price it has before. Bull run will not happen soon, but still hoping for it to come. You must invest again when the price is lower because that will increase again. Unlike waiting for more higher because you have old coins at it won't profitable now.

I am very optimistic that crypto is not impossible to be accepted and developed in the world because blockchain technology is a very efficient technology for many things.

I am also hoping that this year (2019) will be the year of recovery after during 2018 all the coins falling into slumber that are really deep.
So this is the chance for every coins to have their value back.

You are right, there is not any big changes in the CMC value as new year gone Just now. yes there are lot of speculations going on Bakkt and ETH hard fork possibly there will be a change if this happens and we can except a growth in market.

I want to believe that the market will recover in 2019, and we will see a resumption of the bullish trend. But it will take weeks and even months. It remains only to follow, when the bearish mood goes to no.

I also want to believe it but if until the middle of the year the market is still like this then it can start to make me pessimistic. I hope there will be a refreshment that will happen soon enough to just give me fresh air.

I agree with you when you said that cryptomarket will recover and yes no one can predict when it will happen unless you are one of the whales and you belong to a group that are also whales. The good thing about this is, it is possible and the people that control it are people who don't want to lose the value of what they are holding. Be positive, the right time will come. To the new investors, don't be afraid to invest. The little investment you will invest right now can be millions in the near future.

It does not seem to me we are seeing the beginning stages of a bull run, we will see a recovery during this year and then the price most likely will level off and will remain there for some time and only then a new bull run could be possible, I say this because some people just forget some simple facts that make a bull run during the next year unlikely, first of all there is not much money left for those that are still invested in the market, most likely everyone has already invested all the money they had available in the market and so we need new people to get interested in bitcoin, but not many will be interested to invest when the market is still so weak and the memories of the crash have not faded.

If the instituions will finally get in, the hope of getting more people interested in crypto's would grow quickly.

I am not an expert, but I have been following the cryptocurrency market for a long time. I can conclude from my own experience that we should not expect an increase in the price of altcoins in the first half of the year. This is primarily due to the fact that the market fell very much after growth in 2017 and in order for capitalization to return to this level, serious changes are needed. Theoretically, the catalyst for growth could be the launch of the Bakkt platform or the SEC's positive decision on Bitcoin-ETF.

Your wish has come true a little. The price of Ethereum has risen a bit, but I think that soon it will rise a little higher, and then fall. I think that in 2019 the market will grow.

2018 taught me a lot, now I blindly do not believe in the eternal growth of the crypt and the strategy of Hodl not milking me, but I learned to earn by multiplying it in any market, falling or growing.

During the holidays we cannot expect too much from the market. After it  the Chinese  new Year
will happen and I do not expect trend change during the first quarter. Some pumps are possible

It is nothing new for the BITCOIN as it closed the 2018 with less than 4000 USD.
Though it was and it is great for Ethereum as it gets the 150 USD at the first week of the 2019.

I told myself that at the end of the year if the prices of crypto continue to go down and bearish I will have to sell off my crypto and focus only on a few coins. But I was given hope when I read about the ethereum hardforks and that its price has slightly increased. So I decided to sell only a few ones. Hoping that the increase will continue in the crypto market.

      The crypto market will come back, but we have to be patient. These upward fluctuations lately, especially for ethereum, are not necessarily a sign that we will leave the bear market. Those who follow the main coin graphics will see the need for patience on the crypto market. With a decentralized system, it is only up to us that the market returns. As in 2018, I think this year will also be a good one for investment, and we will only be enjoying the "harvest" from 2020.

What users expected didn't happen on new year, but the growth has begun slowly crossing the $4000 mark which is predicted for the new year. I believe this growth will continue in a gradual manner supporting the growth of all the other altcoins that have fallen much low along with the ethereum and bitcoin which were the key assets of the cryptocurrency network.

That is a very childish behavior I see all the time, I can understand the desire to get profits and to avoid losing money but the moment you decide to invest in the market then we need to accept that not everything will be easy, just recently I have become a trader and during that time my first trades resulted in losses, my losses were not big or anything but since I knew this could happen I did not got worried about it and eventually I made some good trades and I recovered the money I lost.

anyone wants to make a big profit through any business that is followed at Crypto. someone in the Crypto world certainly hopes that there will be changes and wonders, but sometimes that desire is not in accordance with reality.

but even though our hopes do not materialize, keep the spirit don't be easily discouraged. there is still a possibility at a later time, the market still has a chance so don't stop, keep on chasing, you will get your dream.

Right investors should be patient, if he is a trader be flexible, can take advantage of any conditions, go up or down, stay calm and go with the flow, don't overestimate market conditions to your liking, because that will only make you disappointed

It seems your wish came true, most of the crypto coin getting their price increase in january. and what i really hope is, it will continue to rise to catch up what the condition of the cryptocurrency in 2017.

I feel the same as you, I see the market is on the right progress to start to increase, and many of them can increase slowly. I wish in this January, and we can see an exploding of one or two coins to reach the highest price so the other coins will follow. And if this is happening, then I think the recovery will begin, and we can hope to make a bigger profit again. But I still expect that the small coin price will rise first before the high coin price because they need to increase the volume of the daily trade before they can increase the price.

any holidays doesn't really contribute for the growth and to push bull run to happen, there are just some instances that holidays provide huge investors to have time in thinking which to invest, and luckily some chooses cryptocurrency.

Indeed, there are no facts that explain the holiday factor can improve crypto growth for the better. But everyone I feel deserves hope for the progress of the crypto world, especially at special moments. Like a new year for example.

Price going up for a short time is not what I hope for ,bullrun is all we need ,the market price is affecting new ICOs as well and many of them are just waste of time ,they either went scam or softcap never reached

Everyone is thinking like you because we are looking to see bitcoin surpassing $ 4,000 and our altcoins will grow by more than 20%.
It will be a good sign for investors like us and it will happen soon in Q1 of 2019. I always believe in crypto recovery speed and it always surprises us. ;)

A bull run will be nice but what we really need is that people lower their expectations, those which have been around only since 2017 were spoiled, they thought the price will always go up and now that they are facing difficulties for the first time they are disappointed and do not know what to do, it is more important they lower their expectations and form realistic ones instead so they can survive the next phase after the bear market which is the price of bitcoin barely moving at all.
