Hello everyone I'm giving few merits to all rank members, cause I feel everyone should have a shot at ranking up. Also I'm tired of reading good posts do not get rewarded, and every rank holder needs merits hence this is open for all.

I'll keep the conditions simple and short for all:

1) Post only ONE post link here you feel deserves a merit, do not pm me.

2) Do not put words like beg or I deserve, only thread link.

3) One merit per one account shall be given, and my decision shall be final.

4) Posts have to be in English, they should not be one liners and should not be in bounty section, it has to be an informative constructive post.

5) To all members who usually collect a lot of merits, kindly do not participate let others benefit from this and if possible see if you find any good post to merit or give them some tips to improve.

So start posting your link here, and whichever post is deserving I'll be happy to leave a merit for you'll after all sharing is caring.

Thats the more reason why probably you should have put something like a merit restriction
Probably members who have earned X amount of merits should not bother participting,but instead take part in the giveaway if they feel obliged to

If I'm not mistaken,there are about 119 merit sources who all hand out merits everyday on the forum on all boards/sections of the forum
It's not about having a big mind as you say, the OP, is just going about this,the way he feels he wants to, and it isn't a problem,but there are so many merits being handed out without threads that state they are
So stop making it look like you've got limited options to earn merits,the whole community(merit sources included),are all on hand to merit quality
So play your own part well

If you really need and only want to post images, then Copper Member might be a good alternative. No need to hunt for merits if you just want to post image and do your business (I assume you want to do it).

Please decide a slab where everything is clarified, like users with how many merits shouldn't participate (or I believe you shouldn't allow high level members only at the first place as many of them have already earned enough merits and only those who are now down from their membership ranks should be allowed to participate.

I have reviewed all the posts, and all those posts which deserved a merit have got one, once again I'll repeat submit posts only in English language, do not submit one liners. It's nice to see you giving out merits, I'm not here to collect merits so won't post a entry, but for its worth I must say rhe rules are preety easy, you should consider raising the bar.

I’m happy to do my bit for the forum, thanks to this system in place now everyone makes concrete efforts to post quality stuff. I have reviewed all the applications, and the deserving one have got merits, also many applications were not good however I’m hoping going ahead better applications shall come. I came here to participate for a merit as well, but then I read the OP about having limited merits to give and if users are usually receiving merit they'd better give room for others to participate and maybe give an advice... so here I am for an advice! ;)



Dear erikoy, I understand you're trying honestly to be active and friendly in the forums.
I read this thread you made, it's "okay" but not as good as it could be if you'd spend some more time to research it.

What you did was to post an image an comment on it, but did you check the facts?
I'm not a specialist but I have some knowledge on the subject and those numbers seemed exaggerated to me... 10 days to crack "looksstrong"? How? Using an i5? Even a consumer-level high end CPU should be able to crack it much sooner.

It always depends on the power of the machine used, but as a rule I'd say that Kaspersky's estimations are closer to reality (just 55mins for "looksstrong").

My point is that you should do your own research and add more content to your posts. You don't have to be always correct, you can't know everything, but you could have researched the subject in order to add more links and resources to your thread.
While you were at it, you'd probably notice that something was wrong with the seminar! ;D

Pardon me for intruding this thread for I have given RivAngE a reward although this thread was made for Newbies and Juniors but I find some excemption to this matter. And for my own criteria of giving Merits, I don't intend to give rewards to posts that has been already rewarded.

In fact, I thought those idea with merits wasn’t the best one. People with high ranks are luckier and will sell their merits against the rules. I think merit is made by yourself. Those who get merit will get it on their merits because they will not post spam or copy by posting on their own head. We should show ourselves to who we are. You can also get merit daily so you need to post helpful. And should take part in various places.
