How does this make you feel about the ETH forks?

Is ETH ruined from the fallout of the DAO hack and the changes made to the blockchain that people thought should(or would) be impossible?

Is the 1:3 and 1:1 ETH fork worth anything or will they just dump as soon as they hit wallets?

I just read an article that we have upcoming 2 other forks and this is the 2nd for this year. We see that these forks were pointless anymore if its generating new coin, I guess there's no way to stop this.

Ethereum nowa is just another scam platform, the core developer of ethereum never said if there will be another coin caused by ethereum fork. from this all of ethereum forks might not generate any coin again. It's the same with what has been doing by etcv.

Thanks for that info, this is why I said that these forks are pointless regardless of what they are promoting. We're already done with these.

If they are using stock photos before, more than likely it will be an exit scam afterwards. Most of the forks really have no beneficial use. They just want to grab fast cash from gullible users who will end up bag holders after the dust settles.

It only shows that forks are waste of time, but it harms the people's opinion on cryptocurrency. But we have to accept it, we can´t fight with it. Because the market is free and decentralized and it brings also bad things.  8)

It's true that they really have beneficial use for the community but the devs themselves will be the ones that's gonna have the benefit of it. It is why I don't care at all with those new fork coins. These photos are also the one that makes the investors believe that they really are part of it but they use it without probable permission.

Each subsequent fork weakens the entire structure and destabilizes the society associated with Bitcoin. I know it is open software and anyone can do whatever they want with it, but this kind of behavior should be boycotted. It is well known that this is done only for profit and not for improvement.

Well, if they see that there's something to squeeze out of anything they would do. It is literally a free money, money out of thin air which is being abused and produced by different developers. It's a lazy move just to say that they need to create a fork coin and upgraded one to beat the original. It's been seen before with bitcoin and it keeps on being developed, they are now targeting altcoins that they see has "weakness".

The ethereum forked coins are probably scams. One is definitely a scam with purchased profile photos, while the other fork is probably a scam because they haven't even released anything about the team. At least BCH had a public team, these ETH forked guys are very questionable

They ask for private key, it is more than obvious that it is pure scam.
Also Ethereum Classic Vision is just quick made project to make quick money, like all forks.

Many say that the two projects are scams, so for this, we must be careful. So many hunters and investors are contributing and must switch immediately. And this has an impact on the current eth value which is declining, sad.

I think that all forks that were made recently were scam - including Roger Ver fork and his Bitcoin Cash. It's just creating shitcoin out of nothing and trying to tell people that it's worth something when it's really still worth nothing!

Stock photos? Weird, Because this is a first sign that the people behind are not to be trusted and could possible pull a exit scam.

I'm not familiar with ETH Nowa though, but with the same they handled themselves, might be better if people will stay out of this project.

Sad with fraudulent forks, this can damage ETH's reputation, even though ETH has a smarter and more experienced team. Be aware of fork scams, we need to be careful and keep doing research to avoid scams. Hope no one enters the trap ETH Nowa and her friend.

That's what the usual scam and rep threads are full of. Its becomes normal for the scammers to use stock photos thinking they'd get away with it. That fork isn't necessary same thing with that ETCV. They just find ways to get more coins like satoshi's vision. DT should paint them all with red.

Hope this reach as much people as possible. There is a lot of people that thinks that hardfork are always a WIN-WIN.. a guarantee of profit, but this is fake. Much more, when it is about a evident scam like this one.. Anyone askign for private keys should be inmediatelly tagged as scammer.. bye bye ETH Nova!

No, ETH isn't ruined from the fallout of the DAO. Obviously it was a contentious decision at the time but I think it was necessary and ETH has moved on since then.
As for Constantinople, this shouldn't be considered as being at all similar to the effects of the DAO - that was a proper chain split leading to two currencies, whereas the Constantinople fork is really just an upgrade and shouldn't be contentious at all.

As for the attempts to support new currencies following the Constantinople fork - I think we all suspected it was just scammers and money-grabbers behind these attempts, with no real legitimate need or reason for new chains.

That is just a scam trying to get advantage of the hard fork ethereum will shortly experiment, the hard fork in theory should not generate a new coin unless some miners disagree at the last minute, also people need to stop chasing every fork, the fork between ETH and ETC made sense since there were ideological differences at stake, similar to what happened to BTC and BCH, but every other forks is just an attempt to get money and nothing more.
