on a personal view, i think each year always come with it's own uniqueness in all sphere of life, even in the crypto currency space, yes january 2018 was a memorable one for crypto currency, but we don't expect this year to take the same direction. Yes the bull run will definitely come but when and how we can't tell yet but just be prepared, invest now, buy more bitcoin.

I'm not sure Bitcoin will create a high bull market this year. I analyze that BTC will create a low market. so. this year is the year of consolidation for BTC and the crypto market. I see many factors that are blocking the bullish market. even today we see the BCHSV battle are not over. maybe the year 2020 will be the best year for BTC and crypto.

It is always difficult to answer such questions because we do not have a crystal ball available. It must be understood, however, that the cryptocurrency market is a market manipulated  by big investors better known under the name of Whales.

The vertiginous fall of the market since early November 2018 is clearly to look for a manipulation of the market by these famous Whales. So the big question now is when will they restart the market once they strengthen their positions at lower prices. In my opinion this year there are still many obstacles to come for Bitcoin, for example ETF approvals that have always been delayed. If the ETF is approved then this year is a very good year for Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is officially approved by the SEC. So that more investors will come.

It did come down so hard that most of us either got burned already and decided to leave or continue to stick in this market and wait till 2020. I do hope that those inexperienced traders and investors learn a lot from the disaster of 2018.

We need some news to really re-ignite the market once more, maybe the bakkt bitcoin future offering will do. We need more time and see what will be the decision though, so lets just stay positive or at the bright side, accumulate when the price is still cheap.

I do think the 2019 will be different from this past months of the last year because, as we can see, even how hard to strive in the down crypto market, there are still so many people that keep on coming to the crypto community and keep using crypto currencies. Isn't this is a good thing for this year? And more than that the crypto market is recovering little by little which is turning our hope in green.

Because pretty much we've cleared all of this "investors" that tried to make a profit last year but failed. Now there are big plans ahead and that some news says that this year would be the time to implement those. We just have to wait what would happen.

I think there will be a significant increase in the digital currency. This growth is based on a good situation achieved at the end of 2018. for example, ethereum has increased by more than 40 percent for a few weeks. this is a very good change and I am sure that in 2019 there will be a positive change and the price of the digital currency will increase slowly.

as i said last time during January and nearly every month until April, the months don't determine what the market trend is going to be. with that said the drop has already gone on long enough and considering the adoption has been increasing all this time, this artificial low should end pretty soon and we should enter the bull market.

goes up doesn't mean it should automatically come down too. the reason for the rise determines whether the price should "correct" afterwards or not. otherwise there is no reason for all the rises to end with a drop.

And so far there has been no major and game-changing developments that can propel the world of cryptocurrency to better and bigger heights. We are still in doldrums right now and everybody is hoping that something good can be emerging in the marketplace. Maybe the BAKKT can be helping though there is no guarantee for that. Or maybe if ETF can finally be approved in February we can see some upward movements after that. Well, some are saying that 2019 can be the year for adoption and application so this can indeed be a boring year but setting up things for the market's future growth.

People are now much aware of the crypto world and the purpose behind the creation of cryptocurrencies. In as much that 2019 is just like any other year, this year is likely to bring more people into the crypto space. This is due to the drop in most of the market price of cryptocurrencies. 2019 represent a good opportunity to invest in cryptocurrency since the crypto market is quiet down.

Well i think no body knows about the bitcoin price, is it will raised or down and down. I just keep optimist that the bitcoin price will increase and increase, as i monitor in the trading market the bitcoin price seems tend to raise, although the increase is not significant but this situation indicates that the level of public trust in bitcoin is back. With the increase of  bitcoin price of automatically other cryptocurrencies will follow.

2019 will not be any different from any other year!

the adoption is still ongoing and the base line of it can not be changed. all that can change is the speed of it which I think this year will increase compared to 2018 but won't be the same as 2017 unless something new happens.
in any case price will continue to rise because of it specially since the manipulators have already nearly out of tricks in their sleeves to crash the market. and after a year of hard work they are going to start to reap the rewards by accumulating now at the bottom.

There are so many reasons that 2019 will be different because bitcoin halving is not that far away anymore which I personally thinks will bring the next bull run ,not to talk of ETF and Bakkt involvement too

at the beginning of 2019 there were a lot of coins that fell but without you realizing it in fact the cryptocurrency price had started to increase prices and if I gave a conclusion then in 2019 there would be a trend up which would make a lot of coins go up even though it was not instant but gradually go up.

I think the moment of instability in the bitcoin market caused by price increases too high at the end of 2017 has passed. I see that in 2019 it's time for the price of bitcoin to experience a rebound to rise again. do not need to be too high and fast, the important thing is to remain stable and not significantly decrease. in recent days it has been seen that bullrun is happening a bit. although there is still a decline in prices I hope that every trader and investor does not feel panic about it.

Let's forget for one moment that 2019 might see a better "price" if the SEC approve the Bakkt proposal for a Bitcoin ETF. Let's just focus on the good increase in the adoption of the Lightning Network and also the maturity of SegWit adoption and how new applications based on micro payments might increase Bitcoin adoption in 2019.

We are also seeing some good vibes coming from the US government and also the Japanese government and some third world countries.  ;)

I'm seeing this year this year will definitely take some remarkable changes to the development of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that's why this year will bring most expected here by the people of to invested and take care of the child development if this year will be there then our problem will be easily solved.

Actually it's hard to say if this year will be better or worse for Bitcoin than the last one.
Many are hoping for the price rise and thus even bigger acceptance of Bitcoin but in fact the situation that we are having now on the market could last for a while and no bigger chsnges might happen.
What I see in 2019 is further attempts of Bitcoin regulation by some developed countries and at the end that might affect the price too.

Based on the price movements that we are seeing, Bitcoin is leading to a stable price. The price is staying at the price mark of $3800 for several days now. It is really surprising considering that we are talking about Bitcoin and we all know its volatility in the past. I think this is the effect of the investors holding their Bitcoins for a long time since the year of 2018 is full of dumps.

I think this year there will not be such a bull market as last year. But growth still seems to me to be sure. So we just need to be strong and patient.

There are two factors that can help me determine that this year, the crypto market will be different from 2018. Everything will change in the fourth quarter of this year. I believe the market will return after the recession last year because things can't continue like that tomorrow. I expect the future.

2019 will for sure be a different year but in what direction no one knows, there is a lot of factors that will affect 2019 performance, not all of them are positive and at the same time not all of them are negative, in 2019 people will always have what happened in 2018 in their mind so we can't expect a bull-run that easy and at the same time there might be some real major news that should normally help the market to go in an uptrend direction, it is really so complicated because we have this and we have that, we might even end up with side way market created by the uncertainty people are having that was generated from the past year experience.

Yeah, Nothing will be different, and Bitcoin may soon to fall under $3000 or $2000. There would be no such an up rise this year and I strongly feel that. 2018 has given a hint on what will happen in this year and the next coming year. And if I'm wrong then, it will be a good news to all of the traders.

Short term there's definitely a big emphasis on the nature of the rise, I was being simple in my response because I assumed that anyone with half a brain can see that the growth in 2017 was not healthy or sustainable growth.

What we should worry about is that how we can increase the institutions that will use bitcoin and other blockchain to their greater benefit. Because we believe that in 2019 crypto market definitely growing from the worst year in 2018. Newbie investors waiting to overcome their losses in cryptocurrency and i think in 2018 most of the victim(loser) are beginner in crypto. Green market coming than we will recover this obstacle.

For example 2018 looked like 2014. So this year may follow it. But there is bad news if it will happen. 2015 was not a good year for BTC.

I believe this year will finally be the year of slow return to the mean. I see Bitcoin as largely oversold and the last move below 5k was pure panic with people running around like headless chickens. Because many investors are now boar about the situation of the market. Many investors didn’t get enough profit in 2018. So we hope that the market price will grow up and we will earn enough profit in 2019. And we believe the bull run will definitely come but when it will come we don’t know.

So in my opinion, the ETH fork has a positive effect, not in the long term though. But it good to see the price of bitcoin just barely above $4K again and do hope that it will maintain at that level as it looks like we're facing a huge resistance.

I think this year things will be different. We had a bear season last year, we all were under the hopium illusion but unfortunately it ended up in someway. Even though the year 2018 was bearish, we had so many developments in the industry and that showed we were preparing for something big. I do not dare to state the exact price of Bitcoin. I predict that Bitcoin will rise in the first quarter of 2019, but do not know how high BTC will soar. However, it is very unlikely that BTC prices will be IDR 200 million in the first quarter. For year-end predictions, it's very difficult. The start of crypto for the year is a good sign. Almost majority of the coins in the market were on green. Hopefully, it will be a year where big companies will starr using their own blockchain. Usualy I'm an optimist but it's hard to tell what to expect from this year. Having in mind past experiences I don't like predictions, especialy not from so called experts, and I don't like to rely on too big expectations.
But the fact is that current situation on the market will not last forever and some changes will occur. This might not be as fast as some expect as well as not in direction we would desire.

Year 2018 became not so good specially with most of cryptocurrencies which have red markets in the market. I am hoping that this year will be a prosperous year for us specially digital currency hodlers. It will different compared to last year because I am assuming that some of cryptos specially bitcoin's price will rise high.

Last year was difficult for investment and not the fact that 2019 will be successful but I'm more inclined that this year the market will begin to recover. For bitcoin is a huge market and there are very good and popular projects. I think that all of us hoping to see change in the current negative trend with bitcoin and crypto but real question is if we will see such change in 2019.

Speculating about bitcoin price is not bad but what we do with the speculations is what matters.  The bull run predicted in 2018 January turned out to be a bad market for us because later in the year bad news started coming in that have negative impact on the market.  No matter the predictions this year if the bad news persist then we are going to have bad market again.

After first quarter than ended with 7-8k dollars price continued with downtrend. Quarter of 2019 is different, we are struggling to break 4k dollars and to stay there. About global situation bitcoin is more popular now than back than, and there are many ongoing things that can push price very high.
Every year is different for crypto, in terms of price, adoption, ongoing projects, new services. We are moving up, maybe not every year with same speed, but our way is visible to anyone who know how to see.

This year will be definitely different from the year of 2018 but that does not mean that it will be the same as the year of 2017 as many are expecting, this year is probably going to be one in which the market will still move but not much and this will give us the opportunity to buy coins for reasonable and stable prices, so it will be a good year for those willing to take a risk and buy before the price skyrockets.

there has been no positive news to date, only news about ico scam and exchanges has been hacked. it is impossible for the price of bitcoin to rise if there are still ico scams and hacked exchanges.

Just this two factor cannot stop it from growing. There are many other factors which will or can make it grow even though we heard this kind of news.
I agree it does put some affects to the growth, but not completely.

It's different from the last year because most of the investor are selling their coin and the coin dump over 70% and having a lot of people who are negative and many partners are back out and never invest. And this year all of this I think already changed but we did not feel this day but I believe someday it we see the market rise and we feel to get high profit because we are now united to do that.

Correction and accidents movements have become a natural thing in coin price movements, so I think in 2019 cryptocurrency will not be different in the past, all of which only contain up and down movements in coin prices.

For me crypto in 2019 will be in the middle of drop and bull... We don't know when but I feel that this is what will in crypto this year. And hopefully this year we can make a good profit or we can get back what we lose.

Yes, this could be the ongoing trend for the rest of the year because we haven't seen any recovery whatsoever, expect for a few pump here and there.

Of course there's always a way to recover and make money here, you just have to be smart and don't trade emotionally or just invest for the long haul. No need to day or short trading because it's not for everyone. Just buy in dip and continue to accumulate this year and wait till 2020.

This is an easy method of investing and proven working overtime but not everyone are has the patience to wait.
Everyone wants to be in profit but some are just too greedy that they want an instant result, well it's not happening now because BTC is at dip.

However, anytime this could jump up when we are not expecting it, so it's always a best decision to allocate funds for long term investment.
I believe we will feel satisfied when this will take place sooner, but let's be conservative with our target, don't expect too soon.

Well, there is a big difference between the price of bitcoin last January 2018 and this January 2019.

many people estimate that in 2020 market price movements will increase sharply, but before we further predict the coming year, in 2019 this is still the beginning of the year which of course the surprises that will occur we have not been able to feel it. Yes 2019 will make a big differnce and I have had tons of waves signaling this. The launch of bakkt, possible etf approval and also many people using crypto and institutional investors coming in will path way for a better 2019.

2019 won't be any different, it'll just be the normal mid-part of the market cycle, between bear and bull markets, with the bull market probably starting up in late 2019. Basically its in the 2015 part of the cycle again.

I don't see 2019 as a different year and we still can't tell on what were going to happen because we're still in February. For me, as of now I don't expect amazing things to happen, as long as the price won't drop to 3-digit, i'm fine with it. Most are expecting a big increase after halving and obviously it wasn't this year.

Maybe we could say that there is no different but we actually never knows. It is already in the 1st quarter and we know how volatility we have, any possibilities that market will bounce back into its normal trend. May the uprising trend will shown up as many countries are now supporting crypto. Opening crypto ATM's will be giving a good insights for this year.

There's no real assurance that the market will go high or any sign of changing directions between bear and bull, but we are all waiting and wishing that

its till more than a year to bitcoin halving.maybe halving be main fundamental for bitcoin , and this year most waited news was ETF approval and BAKKT trading launched.if both of these already announced maybe bitcoin and altcoin price recovered.

we should start collecting more bitcoin from now on, moreover bitcoin price cheap enough now.no matter if there will appear risk in our trading as long as we have long term goal.i am sure bitcoin price will soar after halving.its already shown on price histroy on previous halving.

If you consider all the plans and events ahead of us in 2019, we may see 2019 as a very good turning point but it may surprise us if all these things come to pass without any change in the current market situation. I see a bright future for crypto but maybe it will not be very soon.

This year will be different, i do not expect extreme cryptos to rise, but a shift to the better will be there.

We really did not know if ETF is going to be approved this year and I think it infect on the bitcoin and others coins is really reducing! I do think that bitcoin is becoming popular this days and people are started to see the needs of using it and that is the most reasons why it should increase in price.

We have proven that we don't need an ETF to push the price upwards.
Personally, I think that it will only harm the market that benefit it because with an ETF the price will be easier be manipulated by the whales who will handle large funds.

At least until now is different and we already see a price increase for bitcoin, but still is not a bull run like on 2017, and we will need to wait more it, also i think for bitcoin we will see a new ATH and this will help also people who buy on bull run if still hold to get some profit.

i really dont think that 2019 will become a good year for bitcoin and other cryptocurrency to do correction, market are so bored since we have no very prestigious project that will pump bitcoin price. im not kind of pesimist person, but i have learned from annual bitcoim trend it will stay stagnant, there are no significant pump or dump for 2019, but bitcoin and other cryptocurrency demand still high, this left optimism for long term holder to stay investing their money in cryptocurrency.
