as we've been in a state of bear-trend for almost a year, i'm trying to find another usage of my eth and btc except hodling. do you know any real working crypto-marketplaces? probably it's not a bad option and i would find something really worthful to buy without any doubts of being scammed. kindly waiting for your feedback

anyway, you'll have enough time to spend your assets when this bear trend will be replaced by the bull trend :) keep patience, find some marketplaces that meet your requirements and good luck.

Try openbazaar or modultrade. The first one is pretty well-known, and the second one is new but promising. Choose your destiny  ;)

Spend wisely. Remember that btc or eth are likely to go moon this year, so don't spend everything buying goods, not more than 10%. Personally though, I'm lucky that the wallet provider that I'm using allows us to pay our bills thru their services so I'm taking advantage of it. But as far as buying good online using bitcoin, I haven't try it though.

There are plenty of crypto marketplaces where you can use those coins you have. I saw before a good marketplace but I cant remember it anymore. Did you checked if theres one on your locale?

as for the topic, i never use crypto as a payment option. probably i will study some marketplaces in the future and will try to buy smth, if the price is worthful.

Doesn't matter which country he's talking about there are services from different countries that lets you pay your bills and do more convenient things with crypto. You can look this up on google and maybe there's one in your country (if it's not illegal).

I will advise you to hold your cryptocurrency till the second half of this year, if that nothing happens around then, you can decide to use it in buying whatever you need. As for how you can spend it, that depends, maybe you can get a BitPay wallet cause it helps you get an Amazon gift card right from the wallet, you can then spend your gifts on Amazon online store. But like I said, you better have patience so that you don’t get to regret later.

No no I don't buy anything goods or services using cryptocurrency online virtual currency because my country don't directly permit bitcoin as trading system.

But in your case, wanting to spend off your holdings because you feel the market ia not going to recover is not a good move in my opinion. Best is to convert to fiat if you feel we are dipping further or maybe invest in other projects.

So far I have done it repeatedly paying electricity bills using crypto and I also bought souvenirs using crypto even though there are some of their marketplaces that have closed. We are having such many services/market places for spending cryptos but the main problem is finding an appropriate one which will be delivering to your country as many of them not having facilities to ship world wide. I checked the site you mentioned and I am not sure that they are also shipping to all the countries.

Actually Bro my country's government don't allow bitcoin, so bitcoin is not directly exchangeable in our daily market. But dollars is approval in my country. First I converted bitcoin as dollars, then I bought commodities with dollars.

I once fell to the trap of buying services with bitcoin in the era of pre ATH of bitcoin in 2017 I was shocked when I calculated the profits that will have been accrue to me if I didn't offer those BTC for those service infect its was indeed a massive loss of which has been a great lesson to me.
Yes there are a lot of credible  platforms to buy goods and services with cryptos if you had already made up your mind in using them.

Oh, that's really cool, but I can remember that the last time I made use of Bitcoin to pay for goods I got scammed for it. So, all this while I have stopped making use of Bitcoin for such. This time around i only use Bitcoin to send and receive money from friends and not for buying. And I either invest or just withdraw the money and I no longer use it for buying our daily needs. It mat take some more time before we will be seeing cryptos to be used for daily life in my country.

I guess due to heavy volatility, no big merchants are preferring accepting payments in crypto. At the same time, I am not seeing any possibilities for crytos to be stable in near future. It means we may take more time than we could imagine to buy goods for cryptos.

Probably, it is better to use your btc or eth for something would be useful like to sustain your necessity or convert into fiat so that you could use it for whenever you want. Purchasing a jewelry is also an option so that if it comes to your mind to sell it in future the price might fluctuate and gain a high return.

You could just have to buy some stuff that will please you or convert it into fiat and placing it on a bank or buy a house(if you have enough amount). However, it still better if we will just leave it because if uptrend comes I am pretty sure you could buy even more stuffs if you got your profit, all you need is more patience. I don't really think that things will happen that way, we are expecting the collaboration of many different entities that have no interest in making cryptocurrencies a success, many of those marketplaces will without a doubt adopt bitcoin if there is a huge demand from the public for them to do so but since the demand is not there it is doubtful that they are going to accept it in the near future but give it a decade or two and will see a different story.

A couple times a year I move some of my crypto holdings to gold or silver using jmbullion or apmex.   This allows me to keep everything diversified.   I try to buy silver when the price goes under $16.

Overstock.com still accepts bitcoin AFAIK and they're more or less a low rent Amazon.  For electronics and tons of other stuff, there's newegg.  I ordered a couple of items from them using bitcoin.  Don't know what else op is interested in, or anyone else for that matter, but online shops definitely exist that take crypto.

I've used Gyft.com quite often in the past and always had great experiences. Lots of good comments, IMO, humble or otherwise, what I see right now is a lot of buying and selling with the intent of moving the market up and down.
I just saw a user dump 22 bitcoins on one of the exchanges and it choked on it.   The price went from 31950 down to 31200 in seconds.  What struck me was that this kind of thing is not really what bitcoin was made to do.   People are buying in the hopes that it will go back up to 40,000 and they can make a mint.
That is NOT going to happen anytime soon.   I believe that the real value over time is going to be in purchase power.  More so when we start seeing less and less value over the next few weeks.   The main problem right now is that this constant up and down action driven by people who are manipulating the market for what they can get out of it, that is going to continue to drive down the price and without some kind of market place beyond just the buying and selling of the product (just like a stock) eventually we are going to see the SEC and the FED, (us only) come in and start regulating it simply because what they see is only the manipulation as it were a stock, without any kind of oversight.  I dislike the idea of the SEC and its many tentacles of greed but its coming..  Unless we start to see some real world provision for spending and using this crypto, (which is difficult, because of how high or low it continues to move)  One day you might get a tank of gas the next something off the dollar menu at burger king.   That just does not work well for the average Joe or Jane.  Up down or sideways, I really think that a lot of people are going to be looking for trade value or purchase value, over selling on an exchange, (another whole topic) (stinking exchanges< LOL) IF you got some bitcoin at 30,000 and you look at value, when you try to sell it, you end up barely breaking even but if you can find a trust worthy market and buy some things that you would normally spend money on, well that's better breaking even and that is where I suspect a lot of people are going to end up over time.

I have spent up some coins but only on buying some steam wallet codes in bitrefill.
