About 5 a day are being added, making a total of 4k ATMs worldwide.

For comparison purposes, there are 3million fiat ATMs in the world.

This is a good sign.  Increasingly, I see new projects whose product includes crypto ATMs.  The development of this area is growing and will increase.  The main thing is to pay attention to security issues.

That's cool. I wonder what features will be available. Since this will help cryptocurrency to reach a new social level. Interestingly what countries have agreed on the deployment of such terminals ?

That's a good news. if another atm's would be added in different places that would be great so everyone can use crypto very easy

Most ATMs are installed inside buildings and have someone there to check them out.

Number of ATMs doubles each year. So in 2020 there should be 8000.

That's a surprisingly low number of both, 4000 crypto ATMs!? a long way to go! which is good!

Everything has its time. In the future, crypto ATMs will be the same as with fiat ATMs. Even now in Russia there is an active advertisement for the sale of these most crypto ATMs. And they are, by the way, not so expensive - about $ 2000 apiece.

I see so much amazing news like this, but I'm still so worried that despite the great development of cryptocurrencies, the cyclical nature of the market still remains the same and I can not understand why this is happening.

It's another one booming industry for the upcoming years. I saw someone posted it before and said that crypto ATM is one big industry in the future.

Though there were some bad incidents that's expected to happen.

I am quite surprised finding out the information on article that 56% new crypto ATMs are installed in the United States. We know that the drama about ETF proposal still continues and seems like never ended. But instead crypto support facilities (ATMs) mostly build in this country. It is interesting, will this the sign of good news for ETF proposal..  ;D

This is very good improvement as today i read an article n which i read there are about 4500 places where XRP now excepted for online shopping. Hope in future these remarkable actions will boost up the crypto market.

These numbers are only going to trend upwards as time goes on.  Integration of blockchain with businesses is happening every day.  There is so much opportunity right now and ATM infrastructure is evidence that this market is expanding.  ATMs mean more than just someplace to access assets.  They represent adoption and lasting infrastructure.

Good start I believe. There would be more if governments would support it, In India there were few crypto Kiosks were started but soon they got taken down.

Of course this will be very good news for all crypto fans, with the increasing number of ATM machines being spread out it will be increasingly easy to transact. Even though in my country it still doesn't exist until now. I hope that in the coming year it will grow.

Thats really good news. Its good to see growing numbers. Its all about people needs The more people deal with crypto the more ATM people will need. Crypto is the future an i think its near for mass adoption.

I think that in 2019 the number of crypto ATMs will increase at least in 2 time. Crypto market  actively takes root in everyday life. Also there are still countries without such crypto ATMs

I am participating in a German campaign that opens crypto ATMs in Germany. Already open points where you can buy, sell and exchange cryptocurrency with the help of professional consultants.
Crypto is gradually entering the lives of ordinary people. It definitely pleases. Of course, in my country such ATMs will not appear soon, but the fact that cryptography is developing is obvious.

This is incredible. How to withdraw our crypto at ATM centers and also use it at the POS centers remains a problem to the crypto world. I think crypto is growing now and every day. The increase in the number of ATM centers is a very good indicator of growth in crypto in general. I look for more of this.

I think Africa is still a bare market for these ATM companies. If you consider the fact that in many countries in Africa the dollar is still very valuable and making 5 dollars a day for a work is decent money in many places in Africa it means if you can manage to install ATM for everywhere around Africa you will make them reach to fiat-btc conversion easily and they can work for bitcoin much more frequently.

India has done this for years and they are getting fiat or btc very easily into their country which allows them to work in India but for American/European countries for much cheaper, if bitcoin can allow Africans to do the same thing Indians do it could change the shape of a whole continent. Aside from that considering 4k is about 0.0001 of what regulate fiat ATM is, that business is still in its infancy and has a lot of room to go.

good news, but this won't have a big impact on the market. people need news that is bigger than this if they want to move prices. but this can give us optimism about the future of crypto. the more atmosphere there is in the whole world, the faster mass adoption will occur. and this is a good thing for all of us.

I think the existence of the Crypto ATM have no good effect on crypto prices in the market, but I am very happy because at least this can increase the value of cryptocurrency utilities in the real world. And in the end users no longer need to exchange their crypto to fiat first, because all of these processes will occur automatically at the ATM machine.

Nice concept and much needed one. But this ATM should have facility to use not only BTC or ETH but also many many other tokens and coins people can first convert into ETH or BTC and then use it directly in ATM.

The question that should be asked here is what for ?, i mean is the number of ATMs is increasing because there is an increasing number of the shops and places where they accept them near the areas where they are installed or is it because people are just interested in exchanging their into crypto, either way it is a good sign to see that crypto currency culture is spreeding all over the world, and hopefully we will see this number increasing more in the developing areas like Africa and Asia.

Crypto ATM should be in each country, especially in airports. just imagine, you arrive in another country, sell your btc and immediately get local currency.

Still alot to go for a million ATM's from 4k , but if BTC will get quite popular around the world we can see that 3 million ATM's maybe will offer BTC BUY/SELL options :) That would be really nice to buy/sell in any ATM in world :)

I think this is a good trend for the development and daily introduction of cryptocurrencies in our world. This is a very young industry and still to come.

There are very cool opportunities to use such things in the territory of the European Union. In general, these are very cool ATMs because they always work and do it completely legally. Therefore, I do not see any problems here.

The number of ATM cryptocurrency are now keep on increasing so I think because of this many people will buy cryptocurrencies and it may lift the bear market. as of now we seen a new launching cryptocurrencies ATM in Philippines and I think this kind of adoption will really result to a positive price in market.

I've always wondered how are these legal... I am all for getting cash without any verification but all this anonymity with all this cash cash is strange. I can now get 4k euros per withdraw with just a prepaid verification.

It is still a long way till we reach the mass adoption and the need to have the same amount of crypto ATMs. But it is still a great progress and I believe we would tripple this amount just during this year.

In my opinion it is good that the projects are implemented, I think that this is a very good result of 5 ATMs per day.

Governments of many countries stand against crypto ATMs, because of taxes and legal difficulties. Banks wouldn't be that happy about growing impact of crypto world as well. So I suppose we'll face a huge and long wall of rejection before the acceptance.

4k ATMs is a rough number than being stagnant. 5 new ATMs a day might rise of crypto will become more popular to everybody. Eventhough I haven't seen one but at least there are news about how crypto was being held by people's enthusiasm.

slowly but surely that cryptocurrency mass adaption is coming and the expanding crypto ATMs is just a start. i look forward in the future wherein crypto is just a normal payment method everywhere around the world.

Although the number is still small, but calculated from a population of people who know and have fewer crypto, the number of crypto ATMs is now quite large.
and I'm sure if that number will increase especially if the market recovers then people will be more confident to invest in crypto. so crypto will be more advanced and crypto ATM will also increase.

If this could be happening, it os a good starting point for cryptocurrency. I think its limitation presently, is due to the restrictions in some countries and some countries are also yet to formalize it. Nonetheless, cryptocurremcy does not really need much of the ATMs, because transactions can easily be performed online. If other countries eventually approve the use of cryptocurrency, we will see its increase. It's just a gradual process.

This is true, only the number of ATMs is growing, and the use of cryptocurrency is not. Everything has been done so that there are more scammers and the quality of trade has decreased and everything has moved to the level - grab and sell.

It is very good that such ATMs are already a habit. In Ukraine there were several in my city, but they were removed, because of the legislation, it is very annoying that this is happening, but one cannot do without it. While everyone will not accept.

I think it's a waste of money. ATMs will not be of any use until people start using cryptocurrency as a means of payment.

A good sign if the crypto ATM is increasing, this makes it easier for crypto users to travel or when they want to go to certain countries that already use an ATM. Expect to avoid unwanted things too.

Yes, it is quite better than not having anything. When cryptocurrency first came into existence, a thing like this was not available. Which means we are steps higher and it is just one step at a time. That which seems not to be enough now,will become surplus very soon.

Slow and steady wins a race, fiat ATMs has been around for as long as I can remember and I am in my 20s, bitcoin itself was just invented ten years ago and is still a maturing technology so there is still a long way to go.

It's a big deal for cryptocurrency but my question is, will we be able to withdraw tokens at the cryptocurrency ATM? I know making transfers can be done on the ATM but I still prefer Mobile wallets, stay in d comfort of your home and carry out transactions

Cryptocurrency ATMs are now becoming trend in all over the world. There are many businesses that are launching cryptocurrency ATMs because the demand of the people towards to cryptocurrencies are continuing to increase.

Really it is growing and starting to develop. Just a week ago one of the largest bank here launch a atm for cryptocurrency having an alternative for money convertions, this is a significant growth for all of us, a great step for a society we imagine. For fiat we actually need lot od ATM but why we need ATM for cryptos,just spend them from your mobile itself so this can't be taken into the growth of crypto.We need the sellers and buyers who accept crypto currencies than ATMs.

There was a time that there were less than 1000 fiat ATMs around the world but with time, this number kept multiplying to be where it is today, all Cryptocurrencies needs is time and it would get where it is supposed to be.

This is a very necessary business and we definitely need such machines that would immediately give us the opportunity to cash out our cryptocurrency or vice versa for a quick purchase. Therefore, in general, it seems to me that this is a very wonderful idea.

We don't have any ATM's in our city( How they work, do I need to put my private key in it to sell crypto? Or I just sending Money on their address and waiting. It must be very slow to wait till BTC block appears)
Anybody knows, do we have real worldwide working debit cards in crypto?
