Title: Your favorite coin to invest in that's NOT in the Top 100
Post by: HippiePyro on January 26, 2019, 04:42:12 PM
Most of the top 100 coins are solid established projects and can be counted on to some degree to still be around and rise in value with the next bull run. I'm interested in the long shot coins, those not on the front page of CMC. I know it is impossible to say for certain, but it is fun to speculate. What coins do you think will still be alive in five years that are not in the Top 100 coins already? Why do you have faith in it?

No way to be sure for next five years but these are good projects in 100 to 200 ranks: Loom network, Veritaseum, Syscoin, Horizen, Funfair, Kin.

My favorite coin is Syscoin, just outside the first 100, now of around 120 position. The project had a lot of problems (including the fact that they were robbed, the thief was convicted.) But they have not given up and are actively developing the project. I am sure that Syscoin will give us many surprises in the future.

Like I wrote some days ago: One of the most underestimated projects out there is HYDRO. They didnt have an ICO, so they are not that well known, but they have an already working product and partnerships with eg. Google and IBM. I am definitly sure Hydro is one of the hidden gems out there.

I like Universa. It looks like a better EOS to me.
It doesn't pretend to be more decentralized than it is, even though if certain conditions are met anyone can become a node. In fact it has more potential for a decentralized mainnet, and it has better throughput. Its leader is also more proactive in finding innovative projects for potential partnerships.
A huge sleeper for me.

It's very difficult to detect a good coin outside Top 100 if it should be a good project with potential, no risky gambling and purchase on useful exchanges. Of course such coins are always more risky than BTC or ETH.

My personal choice would be ROCK2 (Ice Rock Mining). They have a large BTC mining farm in Kazakhstan and holding their ROCK2 tokens will give every token holder a monthly payout in ETH. They are still expanding and planning to buy new miners. The advantage is the possibility to sell their tokens again if you don't want them anymore. That's not possible in cloudmining where you have fix contracts. But in Ice Rock you have tokens, which is better.

I have two favourite coins outside Top 100: MobileGo and CyberMiles. I love gaming innovations and this is what MobileGo are trying to do, while CyberMiles are trying to scale big. But as much as I like those two gems, they are just 8% of my portfolio. I don't like investing big in coins outside Top few or coins with lengthily development and acceptance.

I dont know why you need to put a high risk on picking a coin that was not on the top 100 coin and you will hold it for a 5 year long, over the months and years the coin will going at the bottom. No huge investors are interested with the project that is why they are at the bottom. So dont risk your money without a chance.

The ranking of a coin in the top 100 is constantly changing, so the top 100-200 coins are not bad. The ranking of a coin on CMC is assessed primarily by market capitalization and trading volume in 24 hours, and as you know every day, every month, every year, there are many different projects were born. In which very good projects will usurp the top 50 or even the top 10.

For example: if Facebook or Telegram publish their coin, I'm sure it will be in the top 50 on CMC. So I think the value of a coin, mainly decided on the development team of the project, ideas, applications, rankings on CMC does not say it all. If you review the top 10 CMC 2013 up to now, you will see a very dizzying change. There are now projects that are top 100-200 or no longer active.

Top 100-200 projects that I feel very confident in their future are: CyberMiles, Loom Network, Veritaseum, Kyber Network.

I believe in these projects because they have a strong development team, large ecosystems and long-term development capabilities in the future.

IGNIS.  The NXT guys haven't had any opportunities to pump this baby yet.  Put it in your watch list...  Wait for any sudden rises in volume and price.  Never check their social media stuff and forums.  It's all noise.  All you need to focus on is what the price and volume are doing.  Have a stop loss if you're losing and know when to take profit if winning.

TELCOIN is a good investment, they reached the hardcap and are making deals all over the world to use the telephone network to transfer cryptocoins rather than an internet. This makes unbankable third world countries bankable using their phones rather than computers. High potential when it really gets going

I am still looking for coins that are popular and this makes me a little confused to see the development but many people still believe, BABB has a solid team and this is a coin that often catches my attention.

new users of cryptocurrency turn my attention Only on the rail new coins. But we have forgotten that even among the famous project there are quite interesting and promising Coins, which already now can give us a good profit. Like, for example, the company Lips Chain, which due to fluctuations in price can give a 3-fold increase over a short period.

I'm not really sure how long the coins under the top 100 will last for a long time, because if you buy them for the long term, I think it's too risky.
but if you intend to trade it in the short term try INS, SXDT, KIN, VERITASIUM, ODN.

Blocknet is seemingly undervalued, sitting in the 190s on CMC. This is quite a hidden gem and I spent 20 minutes writing about it and my wall of text disappeared because bitcointalk bugged out on me. In summary:

1) It's an interoperability protocol with decentralized exchange being one of it's many use cases
2) DEX's aren't as common as you think. Go down the rabbit hole and you'll find most "DEX's" have some central components - usually the order books.
3) Blocknet is 100% trustless. It's pioneering ways to trade in a 100% decentralized manner while solving many of the challenges that have prevented other projects from going down this road.
4) I believe people will eventually demand 100% trustless.
5) I believe DEX's will take a large piece of the pie from centralized exchanges. It's why Binance and bitfinex have worked on their own DEXs - they dont want to become obsolete.
6) Blocknet masternodes receive 16% ROI, as well as trading fees from trades executed using the protocol.
7) $10 million in 24hr volume = $10,000 annual trade fees for masternodes. Yes $10 mil is aggressive at the moment but i think it's a peanut figure if you read this in 3 years.
8) Blocknet has been around since 2014 and isn't going anywhere. The team has weathered a few storms and they're still going strong.
9) they've been all development and very minimal marketing so you're one of the lucky few who get to read about them in forums like bitcointalk

disclaimer: this is not advice. do your own research. let me know your thoughts.

Many speak for Shift and Graft as the best prospect. Therefore, your investment portfolio can be absolutely quietly filled with these cheap coins, and time will tell everything there.

Dav and graftcoin are two coins that I have been following for quite some time now and I believe this two coins are going to make great impact in future if cryptocurrencies market remain.  There is a consistent feedback from the developers on the progress made.

Actually have, but not suggest to people buy it because no one know what will happen with it in future. It is Universa Token, at first they claimed they have their own blockchain and now still in progress, but if people want to trade there is Universa Token that still in market. For me, coins that have their own blockchain is very good to invest.

There are indeed coins that I have and are not included in the top 100 in CMC, and I still keep them, the price is low and I don't know how long they will remain in the wallet. It's not time for me to get out, and wait for a good opportunity for valuable value.

Indeed, there are coins that I keep and the coins are not listed, this makes me a little confused and I just keep it because there is no time for him. And EOS itself is still neatly stored in the wallet and waiting for a good opportunity too because this market gives me more patience.

when you want to invest in cryptocurrency you should not invest in coins that have a ranking of more than 100 because surely the price movements will be slow and that will definitely only make you have to wait long to be able to make a profit.

not coin, more precisely the token that is my favorite outside the top 100. and the token is bulleon. currently it is rated more than 1000 in the coinmarket because there has not been one month of release and is registered in the coinmarketcap. Bulleon is one of the real projects and very convincing for me. by sebb I believe this token.

So many coins and tokens are registered in CMC, and I still save like FBST, but the price is still far from expectations. I am still waiting to have more valuable value and I am still collecting coins or other tokens to fill my wallet and to invest in a certain period.
