The block reward is continually reduced by 1, until the block reward reaches 3 coins per block, at which point the reward remains low indefinitely to encourage long-term viability. After the 57th reward adjustment, the reward will reach 5% of its initial value and remain at that level indefinitely. I really liked Grin, but the constant block reward was a huge mistake, evidence that the coin has no desire to be taken seriously. I know the decision was very controversial when it was made and some devs are not comfortable with the choice made for the block reward. My suggestion: Letīs just step over to this and get an active community for this currency that might actually have long-term viability as a store of value.
