Have a Dell 1440w server PSU nearly ready to go, but need to know if I need to use the 'MOBO' PSU to power the risers? Thank you. Do the powered risers have to come from the same 12v rail as the motherboard? They should because of voltage difference between both psus. From experience I would say that best idea is to power risers from one psu, even though with some psus it works other way without problems. |
