Title: Zcash ksol to sol, is 50k/sol 50,000 sols? Is zcash equihash?
Post by: digitalcitizen on February 15, 2019, 01:03:42 PM
Hi, I think I am making a mistake.

I am not sure how to convert sol to k/sol and back again, but I gather 10 k/sol is 10,000 sol and 50k/sol is 50,000 sol.

Looking at the Nicehash profitability calculator, I can't believe what I am seeing.  I must be making a mistake.  For the Innosilicon A9 ZMaster, at 50k/sol, this is equivalent to 50,000 sol.  Is that right?  Can someone clarify so that I understand how to use the calculator correctly?

And it takes 620 W of power.  Apparently.  So it might be profitable even with insane electricity costs, if only for a while until the A9+ models take over and push up the difficulty I suppose.  These are equihash sols as I understand it.

Thank you...

Just trying to get my head around this if I want to get into mining even in a modest way and I do... even if I am mistaken, making beer money each week would be pretty cool.

Yes I did attend school and have a B.Sc. first class in computer science from Monash University, but I'm medicated right now.  ;D

I just got out of hospital so I'm feeling a bit silly.  And medicated.  Kind of like being drunk.
