I personally run a resources list website(coinsources.io (https://coinsources.io)) and I've listed a decent number of videos on debates about bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general. I've had a few number of visits here and there on my website, and I've noticed that no one EVER clicked on a debate video link, not even once. It's really surprising how people seems to be uninterested in them.

Very nice compilation, with time on my hands i would be able to to go over all the topics that interest.
The first video is quite interesting, and the young speaker makes lots of sensible points while the other merely expresses his prejudice towards bitcoin.

I am not more concerned about bitcoin and gold comparison, I would gladly have more bitcoin and altcoins (or shitcoins) debates, particular coins with utility.

I was looking for something like this to improve my knowledge about cryptocurrencies. I thought I'll watch a few documentaries but because of time constraints I could never go through it. I already started watching the first video. Thanks for the list. I'll also give your website a look. It seems exactly like what Ive been looking for.

Edit: Saifedean Ammous is absolutely destroying the editor of The Spectator in the first video. Loving it haha.

It is definitely very satisfying seeing Saifedean wrecking the "skeptics". It's both satisfying and annoying at the same time, as the "skeptics" are frequently spewing out non-factual arguments and the "bitcoin can only do 7 txs per second" argument. It's infuriating as hell. You can always immediately see the technological gap between both parties.

That's quite interesting and a much needed list for all users who have been into the cryptocurrency. This gives a varied understanding about cryptocurrency among users who think it is completely for crime and other associated things. Congrats and the effort and keep on adding more videos to the list.

The list is quite interesting and to be very honest it will surely help the ones who want to increase their knowledge in the fields of cryptos.
It will not only help the ones who are interested but also to the Newbies.
They are the one who will be most helped by the above post.
This will also help to know about the up and down of Bitcoins. :D

Thanks for sharing, but I don't think it's surprising people are not into such videos. Firstly, a lot of them are rather long, and people are used to shorter video on Youtube. Secondly, these are discussions of 'experts' who might be wrong even more often than right. Perhaps it's the opinion of these particular people that is not interesting to most of people. Some of the participants in these debates are not famous at all, others are famous for stuff that is slightly related to cryptos (stock trading, economics in general etc.), and some are not credible enough, because they are known to sell their opinion at least in some ways (I'm talking about Ivan on Tech here).

Maybe in the next few day I will watch all video about debate in cryptocurrencies because I know I can also earn information. This is my first time to see that there are video about the debate in cryptocurrencies and thank you for sharing this video.

Great compilation, most of these I've watched. You should watch what the "Wolf of Wall Street" talked about Bitcoin on his social media and some news interviews, a lot of logical opinions he gives.

Appreciate your research about helpful videos which based on educational purpose. I already watched 3 videos listed on thread,it is definitely advised to watch for those who hesitate. For new traders watching opinions of economists  can help but  from my experience these opinions are mainly biased towards creator's purse. Your post deserves merit  :)

These are all really improve the knowledge of Crypto platform, But all the videos are old in the market so many of them saw this video. I saw the few videos in this section at the same time I know the most of desire videos. I personally suggest the reading news in every day because few videos are not perfect in this community.

I'm really interested in this as well. Unfortunately couldn't find some besides a few statements here and there from various people.

Completely understandable that long videos are definitely for everyone. But hey, if you can sit for 2 hours for a movie, why not an hour for a documentary? :P

I wouldn't say Ivan is "not credible", in an economic standpoint? Definitely not. But in the technology sector, he as a ethereum developer, he definitely is credible.

I could barely hear logical opinions from him. He frequently repeats the "bitcoin is volatile as a store-of-value" arguement. Well, as a very very young asset(10 years), bitcoin having volatility is to be expected. Assets tend to be volatile when it's still trying to look for it's sort of "stable price". He should know better to be honest.

Well I'm guilty of these. First, I'm not a fan of debates, maybe I'll watch for a minute then I'm off, found it boring tho. Second, yeah I don't know those people ( sorry guys ).
But I'm fond in reading the daily articles from cointelegraph. And that's it.

I have always been interested in your avatar, and it's just now that I managed to visit it. It's a helpful website, compiling everything that is related to cryptocurrencies. Very nice. I think every time a newbie starts asking what to do with something, like simple questions, I might refer them to your site. Lol.

For me, the debates between Eric Voorhees and Peter Schiff were the most interesting.
You could clearly hear that both of them knew what they were talking about, which made for some very interesting back & forths between the two.

I took a look for a few of them, they look really interesting. I don't know why there isn't any click on the link of the videos like no one interesting in that, It's a bit weird, maybe because there is not so much traffic to your site, I don't know.
Anyway, your site is a well designed and so good to find a lot of things related to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, keep it good with updates.

Indeed! They're both really great. Unfortunately there's an obvious ignorance with Peter Schiff on the technological side of bitcoin. I swear if Schiff was on Voorhees' generation or later or probably if he knew more about computers in general , I'd bet he'd be into bitcoin.

This is a great watchlist which everyone should watch it. I like it. I think we may make a subtitles for this video and all other languages can understand. I hope someone do that. So we will be have a great video library...

In order to watch even one of those videos you really have to be interested in cryptocurrencies or watch it when you don't have anything else to do but that would count since you wouldn't be genuinely interested on the informations shared in the videos. That's because most of us don't have the patience to watch a 15 min video about something that's boring what about 1 hour.

Yes. And I'm posted this for the small demographic that are actually really interested in bitcoin/cryptocurrencies. not for those who are here only for the bounties.

Well, I would assume that a lot of people are on this forum because they're interested in cryptocurrency.
I don't have any problem watching an hour long video with an interesting debate.

If you don't have an attention span that long, how can you get anything done?

This kind of information about cryptocurrencies will help us to know more what it is. I already watch some debate videos about cryptocurrencies and it is totally amazing. I think I will finish all debate videos about cryptocurrencies and I hope there will be more debate about cryptocurrencies.

Awesome, finally there's a site with a consolidated list of sources and information related to crypto. Many have been searching for places where they can know more about crypto so they've flocked to this forum. This should have more exposure. This would be perfect for those who are interested in crypto but don't know where to start.

I like your website overall, but why not add brief overviews for each category so that your audience will have some sort of background on them before proceeding to the sources? Like a definition of BTC under the section of Bitcoin (BTC), and so on.

That's a great site! I do have a youtube account on which I watch crypto influencers and debates, but I've always run out of content often, and youtube's recommended is far from perfect. I'll take a look at your videos linked, I think the last 2 sound very interesting.

Definitely. Especially Draper. His arguments were so bad. I mean, imagine if the bitcoin side was someone like Andreas Antonopoulos and Peter Van Valkenburgh? The opposing side would be massacred. So in this case, I'd say it was somewhat unfair in terms of knowledge levels(not to offend Byrne and Draper, smart people, but they're simply not good debaters). Well, Draper was aware that he isn't a good debater at least.

How nice and interesting that you've created list of debates. It's somehow a big help to increase knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrency to people who wants to learn more about it, including me. Though I think why people don't give much interest on this kind of video is that it's quite long and for someone who'll watch longer videos, they might find it boring too. If I were to watch videos about bitcoin, I'll choose the one who gives information yet is also fun to watch. But if you want better and deeper understanding, debates can help in giving deeper knowledge about crypto since people who'll argue must have deeper understanding about it.

I truly understand that long videos aren't for everyone. I personally don't like long videos either(besides movies), but my interest with bitcoin over weighs my dislike for long videos. I made this list and my site(coinsources.io) specifically for the same kind of people, bitcoin and cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

Yea, I really don't like both of those guys on the BTC side. This debate specifically is probably the least I like among the list.

Indeed. There's a lot of better bitcoin/cryptocurrency advocates to choose from rather than Patrick Byrne and Tim Draper. Not saying they're idiots, they're just not the most knowledgeable in the space. I'd pick Antonopoulos and Voorhees as better advocates for these kinds of debates.

One of the best in my opinion, along with the Voorhees debate. Unfortunately with Schiff, sure he is indeed very knowledgeable in the topic of economics, but you can obviously see the technological gap between 2 people there.

I think it is a very nice idea, because people have to weed between thousands of crap videos on YouTube to find the gems and if you can sort the good from the bad <FUD>, then it could make their research into Bitcoin much easier and also more reliable and effective.

Someone with only a little knowledge about Bitcoin might fall into a trap with some ICO scam or Ponzi scheme, whilst they are looking for genuine Bitcoin resources.

The point of watching these videos aren't to particularly hear the opinions of "famous" people though, rather, to hear the legitimate criticisms of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies(though unfortunately there's barely any good criticisms).

You honestly shared an unpopular opinion but truth, I couldn't get past 10 minute of average while watching some of the compilation up there. They are great information btw.

Your thread always serves as my "go to" link whenever I found myself having lots of free time at my disposal or whenever I finished all my academic works during the day. Watching debate is always a good alternative aside from listening to podcasts.
