I updated it. The Proof of Possession runs until all coins are given away. It is a recurring award each week. This new task runs for 11 days, and is meant to create upward buy pressure, by rewarding traders for buying Yin or Yang. Just an idea I'm throwing out there.

We need people to mine these coins. There are no mining rewards, but you will be rewarded with extra coins if you mine.
If you do mine, start gen=1 in the config, just put a little bit of mining power into it as well. We need both coins mined. Please pm me if you plane to mine.

Sorry if it was not made clear, but everyone receives either Yin or Yang. You do not receive both each week. Next week though, you can pm me your Yang address and you will receive Yang. Congrats on getting coins this week though because after this week the number of coins distributed will drop dramatically. I'm simulating mining when coins first launch, so after this the price of the coin will rise.

Great thing about this method is that there are no whales. The biggest holder has 10000 coins. Not one single person can dump the price unless he buys a ton, so if the community works together the price can easily rise up to .001.

Right now the idea behind balancing is really in how the distribution occurs. Each week the ratio distributed will vary, making one coin "more valuable", in this aspect it's really kind of an experiment to see how traders react to knowing one coin is more limited. I'm still looking for suggestions on how the balance between Yin and Yang can exist, and I'm still thinking about it as well.

People are going to take your free coins and sell them immediately, that is the risk of what you are attempting. The positive is that everyone that is dumping to receive a meager amount of coins at present, are going to regret selling so low.  I'm into this for the long haul and from what I see on poloniex and cryptorush, the sellers are almost out of coins to dump.

Got some YIN and are thankful! New to the cryptocurrencys, but really like the idea of a coin that will be distributed for free, for those who can't, or don't want to mine!
Also, who doesn't need a little YIN & YANG balance in life?

I think only 10% more coins for POP is to low, if you want effectively avoid dumping. I don't think that this will discourage the most holders from dumping the coins on an exchange, if they want dump.
I think you should do the POP more individual.
For example:
Showing that you held onto at least 50% of your coins, then you will receive an extra 10% of coins each week.
Showing that you held onto at least 75% of your coins, then you will receive an extra 25% of coins each week.
Showing that you held 100% of your coins from all weeks, then you will receive an extra 100% of coins each week.

I also think that the reward of 10% more coins for a 0.1 BTC buy is to low. Do you want that the coin will be successful? Then I think you should give better rewards to the supporters who will make this coin strong. I think 50% more coins for a 0.1 BTC buy is fair. But this must be done individual compared to the trading volume of this coin. But for the start with the low trading volume it is fair I think and after some time when the coin has a bigger trading volume per day you could decrease the reward.

I think it would be much better for the coin and the distribution if the random amount each week by posting your address is relatively low.
And therefor give bigger rewards to the real supporters, who hold the coins or invest in the coin. With this the dumpers who just want to get quick money by dumping would get less coins, so there would be also less dump. And the people who believe in this coin and make it strong get more.


BTW are there any requirements for getting coins? I mean date of registration of the account and/or the activity? Because I'm afraid that people could create multiaccounts and then the distribution isn't fair at all.

I think everything above should be considered. Maybe even a percentage increase above weekly rate if (for example using arbitrary numbers): 120% more coin if you've bought a half comparative to your weekly free coins? Like get 2000 free coins one week, then buy 1000 and you get 120% next week. Maybe the 120% reward would kick in if the price was above a certain point or another set condition?

e.g:
Get 2000 Yin one week and then buy 1000 Yin.
Next week get 2000 Yang and 400 Yin(or extra yang) (Optional: if price you've bought at was x.xxxxxx and above/or you've spent x amount of BTC)
Do opposite next week.

Or alternate the goal to buy half of the coin you didn't get.

Get 2000 Yin one week and buy 1000 Yang

I had my doubts about this at first, thinking everyone will dump right away, but now I'm starting to have some faith in these coins. I think the dev has some great ideas. The dumpers will be out of the picture (for the most part) after the first week, and the coin should start heading up. As for me I've held 100% of my coins.

Thank you. Now that we've distributed so many coins in the first week, most of the dumpers are out. Now we can focus on development and gaining support and buy volume. This will lead to the price correction that I know is coming. Look out for yin and yang.

I think to send extra coins only by screenshot is not enough.
You konw, everyone can modify the screenshot use PhotoShop or other software.
And some people maybe transfer the coins from one wallet to another wallet, then to receive extra coins multi times.
As the project development, there will be a lot of people join it.
Until then, send extra coins will be a very heavy work.

Can we have some better way to solve this problem?
Maybe you can collaborate with a trading platform.
Because count the number of coins which owned by the users in the trading platform will be very easy.

I think of this week at least I will continue with the  screenshot system. I really don't see exploitation being a big issue and I will be very thorough in making sure people aren't cheating. I will be verifying screenshots with my contacts at exchanges for increased security if you all really think it is necessary.

I look at it like this though, you all are trusting me to be honest and distribute coins as I say, so I will give that same trust to the community as long as I can.

I actually have very few requests from low activity users: 0 or 1 activity, so that is a good sign. I don't have requirements because I know of people who create an account here just to join the Yin Yang revolution, and I wouldn't want to exclude them. Also, now that distribution amount is getting cut down, no one is going to have very many coins, it may take 8 weeks to get as much as most people got in just week 1. I have trust in the community, I'm not starting this looking to doubt everyone. I'm known as very honest on twitter, and I don't want to set all these rules and hoops to jump through because it shows I don't trust the community.

Quick note: When sending PoP, you must send have your addresses in the message again because I do not want to personally type those addresses. Another thing, if you are claiming your PoP, I am just sending your bonus coins, and your week 2 coins, so you are done for the week. Last, I am not sending week 2 coins to people just joining until Wednesday.

Sorry for nitpicking, but what time zone does the re-distribution start in?

I don't want to send a pm before re-distribution starts.

I think there is about 12 hours difference between when Wednesday starts in time zones on opposite sides of the world.

I believe he is also on USA West coast (correct me if I am wrong) so after GMT 7AM on Wed should be a safe time (that is PST midnight with daylight savings time - USA switched to summer time last weekend).

People are going to take your free coins and sell them immediately, that is the risk of what you are attempting. The positive is that everyone that is dumping to receive a meager amount of coins at present, are going to regret selling so low.  I'm into this for the long haul and from what I see on poloniex and cryptorush, the sellers are almost out of coins to dump.

So, if you send me my coins, I will buy more and will help you out with the distribution... You have crashed yin and yang to bottom with this what you have npot done... Good time to try to repair the damage, by sending out the promised coins and get people interested again. And the thing that you do not notify us about changing the thread here or answering you twitters are pretty alarming too... This coin might still work out if you do the right thing.. I guess you did not read my mails in your other acc, with screenprints of me keeping my coins, but you can just ask for them, and I will be more then happy to send them to you again..

Just get rid of the wallet, the Coin will be worthless very soon when the only exchange for it was cryptorush, No one will take this coin on since Cryptorush added every coin basically lol

It's been 2 weeks and I still never even received my first coins.  This is starting to sound like another sham of a coin.

As to the virus', I know those files are clean. The original wallets were not, and so I had a new trusted dev make the wallets, and used those. I have run clean scans on the wallets, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

To people saying they did not receive coins... First, it is noted that you only receive either Yin or Yang. Second, it is shown on the thread page that distributions were cut down tremendously after week 1. That was the initial adoption period, so the people who got in early got more.

I've been busy trying to get this coin marketed and on new exchanges, so sorry I have not bee in this thread the past few days as much as I should be. The current goal is to get on Mintpal, and if we can that would be huge for this coin. Basically my twitter team is waiting to get on a large exchange so we can hype up these coins, and draw some action to it.

Right now we need support, and a lot of it!

PS: I do all the distributions manually, so with the hundreds I have done, it is very possible I accidently missed some people.

Just wanted to point out that I have not recieved any coins for Week 2 yet (I did get first week) either.

Been following this thread on a daily basis, and It has made me think I might have been a fool buying up new Yin&Yang coins...

However, Dev did just reply to this thread. Maybe new coins will go out soon, and the dev will be more active here.
But I'm afraid that I just lost some coins putting some trust in this, beeing one of my first coins in crypto.

Trust is hard to earn...easy to lose.  For a coin to thrive it needs strong leadership.

Time & energy are our most valuable resources. 

Yin & Yang are based on flawed models.  A truly wise leader can make this model work but that is the 'exception'...not the norm.

Best to pay higher prices for proven winners like Bitcoin & BlackCoin.

Key to thriving in this environment is having the discipline to preserve your capital against catastrophic draw downs and losses.  Investing valuable BTC into a questionable coin is simply playing with fire.  Be thoughtful and trust your instincts...clues are all in this thread.

Obviously you have not read all the comments. Everyone in the first week received either yin or yang, no one got both. Also, everyone received different ammounts, it is completely random, you can even download the excel spreadsheet. The "virus" on these files are not the same virus, and they do not show up on every scan, it is clearly a false negative. If you only received 700 yang from week 1, then you must've have received it in week 2 because I never sent anyone as little as 700 in week 1.

There seems to be alot of people in this thread who didn't get any coins in week 2 (me for ex).

I bought up on Yin coins, but I had to sell them again since there was no Dev around in this thread to calm us down when the price was falling like a stone.
The highest buyorder price on Poloniex is now 0.00000005, about 100-300 times lower then I (and many others) bought them for.  :o
This is in less then two weeks, and the effort the dev(s) on this coin put in is minimal to calm the people down.

So, is this coin at all alive, and if so, why don't you correct the faults done (alot of people didn't get week 2 coins for ex) before you move into week 3 phase?
Or why don't you answer the questions in this thread, since the people who care most about the coin is obviously the once who are in this thread (even though we are few)?

Dev, If you REALLY are serious about this coin, and havn't dumped all that you pre-mined already (you do understand that this is how it looks, right?), then it would be a good chooise to start spending some time with/for your coin.

I haven't dumped any obviously. there hasn't been any volume on yin or yang. The problem is there is no volume, no buy support. No one is willing to buy a coin they can get for free. The community can help out tremendously by giving some ideas on how to create buy interest. I alone can't simply raise the price of the coin.

The only way to solve this, is to distribute ALL coins fairly and equal and then there won't be a free supply and people have to buy it. And after some good promotion there would be buy interest.

Or another suggestion because your POP and Proof of buy is a good idea:
Distribute a fixed amount fairly and equal to everybody who wants this coin (maybe 50% of the total coins).
The remaining coins would be also 'free' but you have to earn them.
For example:
PoP:
Holding 100% or 75% of your coins for 1 week, you'll get 10% additional coins related to your coins. So a POS of 10% for holding your coins 7 days. (Provide dumping)

PoB:
Level 1: X-X satoshi buy price = 10% extra bonus coins related to the coins, which were bought
Level 2: X-X satoshi buy price= 20% extra bonus coins related to the coins, which were bought
Level 3: X-X satoshi buy price= 30% extra bonus coins related to the coins, which were bought
Level 4: X-X satoshi buy price= 40% extra bonus coins related to the coins, which were bought
Level 5: X-X satoshi buy price= 50% extra bonus coins related to the coins, which were bought

So you could produce an artificial buy interest for the beginning up to that time when the remaining coins are exhausted. But after that the coin should be ready for trading without PoB. (increase buy interest)

I'll probably doing some buying and selling of yin and yang to myself to generate some trade volume. I also have gotten a couple people on twitter to start working with me to bring these coins back alive. I do realize that about 30 out of 280 people did not get their week 2 coins. At these prices though, the number of coins you receive would be worth relatively nothing. I am trying to make the coins worth something before focusing on giving someone only 200-800 coins.

i think there does seem to be a problem with communication/updated information here.
- the ann page mentions updates "today" when "today" was 9 days ago
- you mention trading coins, then dump some millions
- week 2 does not seem to be fully distributed and you seem to suggest that it is pointless to finish that job


i am quite happy to believe you are doing this for a greater good :) but to be honest i can't really see what you hope to acheive by dumping some millions of coins into your own order - other than fees for the exchange.
and
-to maintain integrity it may be useful to post some addresses, or screenshots showing your trade history for such trades.
-pretend volume of that magnitude is probably not that good a selling point, traders may well speculate that the dev has dumped and it's time to nosedive.

what is happening long term with the week 2 payouts ?

Secondly there is no mining involved so nothing to back this coin with hash power or difficulty.
